841  Economy / Economics / Re: Success is fundamentally determined by luck, not effort. on: May 19, 2023, 01:30:22 PM
lol. How can you assume like that, until the end of the world you will never be able to feel success if you just hope for luck without any effort. Luck is in the last part after Effort, Creativity and patience in pursuing Business.
For me, luck is a bonus from the hard work done so far. People always wish for good luck after years of trying to achieve success.

I also don't completely agree with the OP's point in saying that success is all about luck, not effort. But it is also undeniable that, without luck, our efforts can hardly bring success. For me, when the opportunity comes is called luck, it is not necessarily created from effort, and taking advantage of the opportunity to achieve success is due to our efforts. Every successful person needs these 2 factors, I don't believe anyone can achieve success without luck, although effort is more appreciated and vice versa. No one can succeed without trade-offs or without effort.
all of that is true but know that everything is in line and the beginning is effort, if there is no effort how could there be chance and luck.
I don't believe in any of that, I believe in myself, when I want and get up to start trying then opportunity and luck will accompany it.
get up and try if you want to be successful, don't ever expect anything if you don't create it yourself.

Like I said, I have not seen anyone succeed without trade-offs, if someone gets rich without effort, they will have to trade with all they have. Success and wealth don't just fall from the sky. And I agree with you, if we want to achieve something, we need to stand up and work hard to get there.
But if you say you don't believe in anything but yourself, I disagree. I don't believe anyone can succeed without anyone's help. No one can be alone, go to success alone, and stand on top of glory without help. When you succeed, there will always be someone to accompany you.
842  Economy / Economics / Re: Deposits-in the bank or in gold? on: May 18, 2023, 03:46:38 PM
Nowadays, keeping money in banks is very risky because nowadays various banks have gone bankrupt due to loans. So if you keep money in the bank in this situation, there will be a lot of financial risk. Since it is not safe for people to keep money in the bank now, many people are trying to save their money by buying various things. In that case gold can be a good decision. But investing in gold has a very low chance of growth, so if you can buy and hold Bitcoin instead of gold, there is a chance of making a profit as you save money in the future. Many people currently hold their bitcoins in hardware wallets rather than bank money.

I know we are on the bitcoin forum, and there are a lot of bitcoinists. But to be fair, investing in bitcoin also has certain risks, it is not absolutely safe. Therefore, when comparing or giving advice to someone, we need to tell the truth and be complete. I just saw you talking about the collapse of banks and the slow rise in gold prices, and I didn't see you mention any downside of bitcoin. Is Bitcoin perfect and without any downsides? Is that fair? Everything is risky and nothing is perfect, buddy.

As a football manager, Carlo Ancelotti has chieved so much in his career that it will be absolutely fine if he decides to rest from coaching after the end of the season. He's one of the most successful managers in the game of football.
I would love Real Madrid to beat Manchester City today and also go on and beat Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final and hand Ancelotti the Champions League trophy as a farewell present. But how possible it'll be remains unknown till after tonight's match
I respect Carlo because he is a legend of the game but I will not be rooting for him and Madrid tonight. I want Man City to win this seasons champions league. It's going to be a tough battle to beat Ancelotti's team in this competition at this stage, but if anyone can do it, it is Pep.

And I do not think Ancelotti will be retiring entirely from coaching after this season. I think there is talk between him and the Brazil national team. I don't know how true it is but I would really like that to happen. He has already coached players like Vinicius, Rodrygo and Militoa in Madrid, it would be nice to continue doing so at their national team. Brazil has a lot of stars and if there's one thing Ancelotti is good at is managing stars.

Real 0-1 City, 22 minutes ongoing & I'm watching the match. Even I am not a very big supporter of Real Madrid. But the fact is Real Madrid is one of the best teams in the Champions League ever. It is going to be really hard for Manchester City to be Real Madrid and go to the finals of the Champions League. This is basically the actual final of this competition. I think we all are expecting the team which will this match to win the final as well. And of course, Real Madrid is the fan favorite in this match. After all, we still remember what Real Madrid did the last time these two played in the Champions League. Manchester City will certainly look to get revenge on Real Madrid.

Ancelotti has achieved so many things in his career and he also has achieved a lot of things with Real Madrid as well. I think he can certainly decide if he wants to retire when he is on top which is now I believe.

If people decide to leave the bank and focus 100% on cryptocurrencies, it will be worse for us, not as good a thing as you are imagining. Do you think the government will let crypto kill the bank? So far, they are not too strict with crypto, but if it becomes a real threat, they will destroy it, don't forget the government is still the one that controls this world.

Although the bank is going through a period that is not worth our trust, we are still depending on and using it. How would you invest in bitcoin if you didn't have a bank account or fiat currency?
I think that is a dream and that's not going to happen and we are not going to end up with anything like this. I understand that it is not going to be something we could see in the future, and we can't really just leave banks suddenly whenever we want, that's not how it works at all and we should be all working towards something else. What is that? We need to achieve something that is a bit more towards what we can do with realistic situation and that would be a lot better.

I understand that there is a situation where bitcoin and banks co-exist together and that's what we can do, that's the future we should be aiming at, because that's realistic. Imagine something like banks accepting bitcoin? That would be the ideal world that we could reach probably.
coexistence between banks and cryptocurrencies is possible but not crypto replacing banks, maybe that is a goal that will be very difficult to achieve and from the government's point of view, it may be difficult to replace banks. but by coexisting doesn't the government have advantages from tax revenues, on the other hand as an alternative means of payment can't it make it easier for people to transact, that's if we look at it from the positive side of cryptocurrency

That is what we are aiming for and will certainly achieve. Getting rid of banks is an impossible task, and the government can't get rid of bitcoin entirely, and it's not in their favor. That is why we have also seen some governments gradually open up to bitcoin and accept it along with some regulation.

Honestly, we propagate bitcoin against the bank, it will replace the bank, that is only making the distance and hatred between the two heavier. I don't see any benefit for us users when the two are against each other, whereas we just need to harmonize the two.
846  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: May 17, 2023, 10:18:36 AM
The market will be even more difficult to predict, because currently bitcoin is mostly used for speculation and trading, rarely do we find bitcoin being used for direct transactions such as cash so it will always fluctuate and it is difficult to predict, we are waiting whether after the halving next year we will be able to make ATH or not, if bad things happen then we have to be ready.
Maybe it's just you who rarely see Bitcoin transactions that are used like other currencies when someone buys something in a country that has legalized Bitcoin. You can find out about this in El Salvador and also in the Central African Republic, where Bitcoin has been legalized and there are bound to be people making transactions like you mean. Even though you don't find such things in other countries or even in the country you live in now, so this is actually not rare, but maybe only rarely seen by some people.

El Salvador and Central African Republic accepting bitcoin as legal tender doesn't mean everyone there will 100% use bitcoin as an alternative to fiat, let's not forget that they haven't given up yet fiat and still use it with bitcoin. I also think that people will use bitcoin for investment rather than as a means of payment. Even the president of El Salvador is investing in bitcoin instead of encouraging people to increase the use of bitcoin as a complete replacement for fiat. To be fair, the use of bitcoin as currency is still happening in some places but it's really not that common.
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 15, 2023, 08:07:02 PM
Sunrisers Hyderabad now needs around 62 runs in 18 balls. This is an impossible task for them especially when only 2 wickets are remaining for them. Gujarat Titans will retain their first spot. Sunrisers Hyderabad may also remain at their lowest 9t position on the table.
Heinrich Klaasen scored 64 runs from 44 balls and the rest of the batsmen scored nothing at all.
This IPL may be all over for Sunrisers Hyderabad but they need to think what went wrong as they had some really good players in the team but the team never played as a unit.
Even the individual performance is enough with T20 format cricket, but the score from the particular player needs to be high. With most of the matches, the score have come from 2-3 players. Maybe if others too have performed good, SRH might've been seen at a better position on the points table.
SRH have lost the match by 34 runs. One more match left against Mumbai Indians which is an important match for Mumbai Indians to qualify for the playoff. Most of the time teams that have got eliminated used to play major role in other teams move to the next round. In such way SRH could make some twist and turn, though it is out of this season's IPL.

As it turned out, SRH actually managed to get closer than I originally thought they would be able to. It was only by 34 runs that they lost the match. Having said that, I also think that GT might have taken it a little easy towards the end because they already understood that they were not going to lose this match. There is still a substantial margin between the two teams. I just thought that it was going to be bigger. There is no doubt that SRH will not be able to go on to the next stage of the IPL in this season.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 15, 2023, 08:00:47 PM
Just leipzig and köln left for Bayern, and we all know that they are good enough to beat those two teams easily in normal situations. I can't guarantee a win of course because it's football and sometimes we are wrong, but I feel like that is not going to be an issue at all, they will get a win. I think the best thing we can do at this point is to make sure that the world continues as we can, and that should be a lot normal.

We are not going to end up with anything bad or anything, but we need to make sure that we can get more firm grasp of the situation at hand, which could be something more careful, like not betting huge amounts on Bayern wins, I think they will, but no reason to risk it that way at all, we can move further along.

Both Dortmund and Bayern Munich should be able to win both of their matches that are remaining in this season. I am a little doubtful about Bayern Munich Vs Leipzig. But I believe Bayern Munich is going to be able to win that match. But we can still expect surprises. It is still not over for Dortmund. They just have to win both of the remaining matches and hope that Bayern Munich does drop points.

Actually, if Bayern Munich does end up getting a draw against Leipzig, and Dortmund can actually win both of the matches left it is going to be a big surprise because Dortmund will be able to win the Bundesliga title if that happens. Smiley

I don't want to be overly confident but I'm sure everyone agrees with me that manchester city is much better now than last season, they will play more pressing at Etihad at home because usually manchester city will play well at home. waiting for Inter milan in the final later  Cheesy
I do agree with it. Haaland was changing everything in the club. The came of haaland was also making manchester city become even stronger than before. Im very glad to see that city has been evolving this much but let's see whether it will able to beat real madrid in the second leg or not.
Manchester city has become favorite in the second leg and it's caused by city has very good record in the second leg.
That's the problem at the same time. Haaland made them just a bit lazier, why? Because he can definitely score anytime he wants and that's an important talent to have and that is how they scored against so many teams so far, dude scored so many goals.
This meant that against Real Madrid they tried as a whole team but looked for Haaland a lot, and that was usually not an option because Rudiger covered him so tightly and they needed to adjust accordingly. That's good and all but they need to make sure that they can do better next time. If nothing else, he cancels out a defense, they can abuse that and get someone else to score, just like de bruyne did. And what a goal that was, I am sure he must felt so happy after all the drama on their personal life.

Real Madrid understood that if they can stop Haaland, they will be having the upper hand over Manchester City. But after the first leg City also understands that. So Manchester City is also going to adapt accordingly. I am sure some changes will be made so that Manchester City can keep Haaland free when they need him.

De Bruyne either has to forget about the personal life so that he can concentrate better on football or he can also use that as motivation. I hope he will be able to use that as motivation. Because honestly there is no motivation like this.

After back-to-back failures, the West Indies Cricket Board appointed a new West Indies coach for success ahead of the World Cup, with Darren Sammy appointed as the new West Indies coach for ODIs and T20Is.
A team that once ruled cricket has now failed to qualify directly for the main stage of the World Cup. Their great performances are now a golden past for them. Maybe the West Indies Cricket Board has decided to take the West Indies back to its previous state. Darren Sameer's technique is expected to be successful for the West Indies team.
There is no dearth of world class cricketers in the West Indies team but what is lacking is a good relationship between the cricket board and the players. There is no doubt that West Indies will be the strongest team in ODI and T20 cricket if there is a good relationship between the West Indies Cricket Board and the players.
Bad management and too much interference from the governments create problems, and we have downfall like West Indies once they were ruler of the cricket world, and now they are going to play qualifiers which man things are already gone from bad to worse for them, and they are not learning from their mistakes and still going with the same strategy which is not going to help them even they will be dragged and have no place in this game.
Their performance was better in white ball but in last few years now they are losing this as well which is more concerns for them if they want to have better future then surely they need to work out on all aspects which are having bad impact on their game in last few years because without checking mistakes they can't go ahead and have improvement in their quality and performance Darren Sammy was the good player hopefully he will do his best for having improvement in West Indian cricket.

There was an era of West Indies cricket where they perform really well in red ball cricket. A few years ago there perform really well in white-ball cricket. Especially in the T20 format. But now they are not performing well in that has well.

Anyway, Darren Sammy is a very young individual. He will have that hunger to perform well and prove himself. But you will need a lot of time to actually bring in results in my opinion. After all the situation of the team is not very good. Government interference and corruption will also have to decrease otherwise it is not going to matter who is in charge.

SRH are getting mauled by GT at the moment. GT qualified for the playoffs, but they also made sure that they will grab one of the top two spots with this win thanks to the high margin of victory.

SRH need to fire their current management and hire fresh faces if they wish to go back to winning ways in future seasons.

SRH has already lost 7 wickets. That has also cost them to not keep up with the required run rate. Klaasen is still in the middle not out on 63. But he is not going to be able to give SRH the desired win alone. They need 18 runs per over from now on. It is absolutely impossible with having three wickets in hand. Klaasen needed to have most of the strike if SRH even wanted to get closer to the total. But it looks like his partner right now is wasting a lot of balls. That is certainly adding more pressure. I think they should understand that they are not going to win this match. The only positive to take away was the half-century from Klaasen
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 14, 2023, 06:05:01 PM
Manchester City chances of winning the English Premier League is closer than I think if Arsenal should end 0:1 in their game against Brighton. Manchester City is currently 4 points ahead of Arsenal and they are sure of winning the league should Arsenal lose in this game and they win in their next match against Chelsea. Can the Gunners still come back in this game?
It's difficult because in the match that will end against Brighton they lose and the score increases to 0-2, actually Arsenal's big hope is that they can at least equalize the score. But in the end the score towards the end of the match Brighton added one goal, and this goal was created due to an error from midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Manchester City are a fearsome team and whoever they play has to be beaten so does Chelsea and given their poor form.

Arsenal is not going to win the English Premier League title. The title is going to go to Manchester City. The way Arsenal has performed at the later stages of the competition I do not think they actually deserve to win the title.

If everyone remembers correctly this is exactly what happened in the last season as well. Arsenal absolutely lost their way at the end of the season and that was a big reason why they could not finish in the top 4 and perform in the Champions League competition. This season they are deprived of the English Premier League title. And Arsenal can only blame themselves for it.
853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fate of BTC payment now on: May 14, 2023, 08:44:58 AM
Bitcoin is also an optional solution, it is not the primary payment method for your business, and I guess not too many people will use it as a payment solution. It's not too big of a problem for your business, more importantly, how to keep revenue is an important thing that you need to care about.

As for the spike in transaction fees, I don't think this problem will last long. I think it will be back to normal soon so you don't need to worry and all you need to do is wait, everything will be fixed soon.
854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You are still very early on: May 14, 2023, 08:22:29 AM
To be fair most of people are looking to get rich quick by flipping their coin, that's why they're prefer to gamble on shitcoins rather than looking for the safest long term investment e.g. Bitcoin. There's always a person who can make money through shitcoins, but it's just like picking a needle in the haystacks, the chance is very low. They're also uneducated, that's why they don't have any reason to invest in Bitcoin except for making money.

Working in real life and convert to Bitcoin is better than gambling in shitcoins.

As you also said, there are also people who invest in shitcoins and get big profits. And to be fairer, I don't see anything wrong with investing in altcoins as not all are shitcoins, some altcoins are growing very well and offering huge returns for many people. Once we invest in crypto, it means we intend to get rich quickly, including in bitcoin, because if you really want to be safe and not in a hurry to get rich quickly, then you have chosen gold or other safe havens.

As cryptoaddictchie said, he is not a shark, he does not have too much money, so he invests in altcoins, but the end goal is to earn more money to accumulate bitcoins for the long term. I see this strategy used by many people and it is also their way to increase their bitcoins, what did they do wrong?
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 13, 2023, 07:21:45 PM
Unexpected loss of points against Lecce, Lazio, of course, weakened the possibility of going to the Champions league, but this chance still continues. Lazio is a team that can be successful in both the Champions league and the European league. It is not clear in which European cup they will continue, but I foresee a stronger Lazio next year.
This defeat will reduce their chances of being in a safe position in the rank 3. Lecce is not a strong team but they were able to make it difficult for Lazio to play more aggressively in that match. A draw is really detrimental to Lazio because they really need points to maintain 4th place. Today match will change several teams in the standings table, including Inter milan vs Sassuolo which can be said to be a very crucial match for inter milan because if they win then they will go up to rank 3.
Ac milan will face Spezia in today's match, although spezia is quite a weak team but I think they have a strong ambition to win at home apart from that ac milan has had problems in their performance so far because losing to inter can have a bad impact on mentality the players in the match against Spezia.

I was actually surprised to see that AC Milan actually lost the match against Spezia. This was also a very important match for AC Milan. This was probably their last chance to get themselves somewhere near the top 4. But now I don't think there will be able to finish in the top 4 at all. The point difference has become white significant right now. They had to win this match against Spezia if they wanted to have any chance to finish in the top 4.

Now it looks like they will be finishing in the fifth or 6th position. They still have to fight Roma to finish in the fifth position because they have played one match more compared to Roma so far. If Roma can win the next match both of them will be on the same points.
856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: May 13, 2023, 12:36:55 PM
However, if we refer to the 4 year cycle, it seems that now is the best time to buy bitcoin and hold on until the bullish phase comes. As we know that when the next bitcoin halving occurs, BTC has the potential to print new ATH.

The big question is if Bitcoin's price movement remains cyclical, which is not obvious at all. With each halving having twice as less effect on the block reward and with much different wider market reality (higher interest rates etc) we could see completely different price action. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see the new ATH in the next cycle or if the cycles get flattened and extended. Things simply cannot be too easy, otherwise everyone would get rich from trading and there would be no one to do actual work.

There are no doubts in my mind that sooner or later, the market will undergo a change, and it will become more unpredictable, it will not be a simple and easy market to predict as many expect. But as long as that hasn't happened, there's nothing wrong with believing in history because, without history, there is no future. And so things don't get too unexpected, we need to plan a scenario if history doesn't repeat itself, and there will be no ATH after the halving. I was prepared for that too, like you, I don't think the market will be so easily predictable forever.
857  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin is not rising soon!. on: May 13, 2023, 12:20:17 PM
According to me it is difficult to predict the price of Bitcoin in future, but hope it will rise again. Currently Bitcoin price falls, but it will not continue and  some changes will happen in upcoming days. Most of the recent researches indicates that the price of Bitcoin will increase by end of the May 2023. So don't loose your hope that Bitcoin is not rising. Surely it will rise but it will need some time.

Bitcoins price will only increase, if more people try to accumulate it. In simpler words, if the buy orders are more than the sell orders, then only the price will rise. The demand of the coin needs to be increased and hence in order to fulfil the demand, the price will go up. Currently due to the high transaction fees, Bitcoins have suffered in price. Once the things get back to normal, BTC again gonna climb up in price. Let’s not think of anything bad now and let’s hope for the best.

If bitcoin price depends on supply and demand, as you are saying, then predicting bitcoin price will not be so difficult and unpredictable. In addition to depending on supply and demand, bitcoin is also manipulated by many different forces in the market, making the bitcoin price almost unpredictable. Even if bitcoin has more buyers, there is no guarantee the price will increase, it all depends on the market makers.

I also don't think the recent drop is due to high transaction fees, there is some news, like the US government selling 9kbitcoin or Binance stopping operations in the Canadian market, that could be the cause. But I don't mind because market ups and downs are normal.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 12, 2023, 11:17:12 AM
It is now obvious that the banks are no longer reliable when it comes to storing your money because they might be the next to go down and your money will also disappear with them. The real horror is when they don't let you withdraw your money because it is not there anymore and they don't have anything to give you back which will often be the case especially when the bank has already used its options to recover but no luck. You will be like the others who will wait at the door of the bank hoping to get your money back. Well, this is not the case with bitcoins and you know how you can effectively keep your own money and let it be there in your wallet as long you want and withdraw it whenever you want.
The funny thing is that the bank are looking for our Money so that they can get more richer without our money adding reasonable interest. If we all decided to withdraw our money and invest it in cryptocurrency, we shall be surprised that many of these banks are going to collapse because they would not have the kind of customers they really need to grow.

The Cryptocurrency market is very competitive and we should be ready and prepare to invest in a good altcoins or better still, Bitcoin so that we can earn big in the future since the banking system had been fucking up since over decades now without we knowing what's up.

859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of crypto influencers. on: May 12, 2023, 11:06:47 AM
That's the thing...we can't simply rid of these influencers because developers will still hire them and make of their popularity to gain attention.
People will still believe especially those who are thinking about ways to become rich instantly, greedy people will tend to follow them and fall into their traps. They will never realize until such time comes that they lose $$$. Too sad but can't hide the reality because even if we spread awareness, they'll just ignore it.

Unfortunately, you are probably right. But still, if their influencers will lose their popularity, no one will pay them to promote their projects + there gonna be fewer people who will see this promotion and buy some new shitcoin.

Overal, I think this might happen at some point because people are getting more and more educated about bitcoin. Even I, when I only started buying crypto, was watching videos of people who said that doge will go to the 3$ in to days lol. But the more I learned, the more I saw that it's all just BS.

As people gain knowledge, influencers lose their traction, but to say they will completely disappear from the market, I don't think so. As long as newbies enter the market every day and investors remain greedy and want to get rich quickly with shitcoins, the influencers will never stop. And saying shitcoins will disappear from the market is unlikely, even as bitcoin becomes more popular. So far, many people have understood bitcoin very well but still choose to invest in shitcoin because they are willing to take risks to earn higher rewards.
860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend's investment in Bitcoin on: May 12, 2023, 10:51:21 AM

OP, I must say, you did a nice thing to introduce a friend to the Bitcoin space, but I hope you have educated him about the more important things he should know. Bitcoin is a very volatile asset, and some new investors get scared when they see that their investment has lost -20% or more, but we, who are so experienced, don't bother about the price volatility because that's just the nature of Bitcoin. Also, using the right wallet (which includes the electrerum, exedus, and blue wallet) is what he should be doing and how to securely keep their wallet phrase safe, not only in one place but in different locations, so that if one gets lost, he still has others to look for in other places.

He can just tell his friend to hold it no matter what, even if the Bitcoin is going to have a sharpest dip, just don't sell it until the target is achieved. That's gonna be the most simplest advice you can give to a friend who have zero knowledge about Bitcoin, he might get overwhelmed by how vast of information Bitcoin has, he's for sure gonna be working on that in the process while holding.
I'm gonna be showing him the historical data as well so he can have a better picture how Bitcoin has been doing since it was created and how far Bitcoin have gone for the past 14 years.

Why not impart knowledge to him but only give advice? Even the best advice is never enough. I will not give advice but will focus on teaching the basics because we invest in bitcoin is a long journey, and the market is very risky, so it is not possible to rush to invest without knowledge.

OP's friend will listen and absorb everything OP says, but there's no guarantee that he won't panic when the market is volatile, and his assets dwindle. But if he has knowledge, he will understand how bitcoin moves, and he will know how to control his emotions.
