I would recommend underclocking them. That way you'll avoid the fire risk, and they run a little more efficiently.
Do you happen to have some settings? I'm using 240v 30a and using the y-cables to run 2 pcie to each cube. Not sure how to read everything correctly, but temps are running < 60c and DC < 100c. I've got 6 going at the moment on one controller doing 4.1Th and showing 1731w. I'm guessing that's chip level? But even so, it should be very comparable with my underclocked SP20s. |

It seems to me that you made a pretty good deal.  Just because everybody hates KNC right now it doesn't mean you can't made some decent deals with their stuff. Where did you get that deal? Off Ebay. Bought 3, figured I can make at least 2 good ones if they don't all work up to spec. So far just still playing with the first one. I've had to flash the firmware once so far. |

Status so far:
Received today.
Have set up one set of 5 cubes. I forgot how finicky KnC chips are. I've got 2 cubes with a couple dies that cycle, but so far running around 3T at 1308w. I'm figuring there must be a bust in their firmware because that seems way too low.
2 more to set up tomorrow.

March 30th batch has extremely limited quantity left that is why the Coupon Validity is only until March 25th. After this batch is sold out, the next available S5 be in June of 2015. Yeah I ordered last week too, at the higher price. They did however, send me a coupon (for S5, spend before 3.25.15 , lol). I'm not complaining, better to have a coupon than no coupon, but I kinda wish they had let us know what the deal was with coupons this time around (batch).

They basically don't work right out of the box. If they do they have bad dies and bad VRMS.
Well at least I'll know what to look for right off the bat. I figure if they don't work, I'll file a dispute and get my money back or a credit for the bad dies. Paypal and Mastercard are pretty good about that. Also, I have a bunch of Corsair CX500 laying around. Can I attach one to each cube using the Y cable so as not to overload the PSUs? |

Hello to all. I need help to recover a SP20. problem happens when i downgrade from 2.6.14 to 2.5.12 with firmware list from web management. After the downgrade machine shows it is a SP10, having web access, but not mining. I did a factory reset and have not more access to the unit. So I tried a recovery with SDcard. I got xmas lights , but problem remain. 4 times or more. I can get web and ssh acces to the machine with SDboot, but want to recover internal memory. It looks that something internally is saying the machine is a SP10 , but doesnt know how to change it. here is something similar: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/technical-blog/16218032-recover-sp10-that-has-image-2-x-xbut i am not sure if this is the same that my situation and what the instructions to fix it have to be implemented. I write to support, but I get tired after one week waiting for a solution from them. Not much happy with support. thanks Did the same thing when I first got one of my SP20 units. It takes a while after you get the xmas lights. Just let it go about 5 minutes. After that, immediately flash with new firmware. Be sure to use the recovery and not boot SD. Worst case scenario, SP-T will remote with you to get it going again. |

I've used them and ordered the plug that converts my dryer plug to a 220v30a standard twist lock. It plugs directly into my pdu. Works great and very solid heavy duty.
