Yeah, it's got 400+ confirmations. I guess you're right, no point in delaying the inevitable. Time to call eBay.
Once you cross that line of reporting to ebay, could you also publish the transaction details here? Never know, he may have been careless enough and used an address that can be traced to him or used it for other transgressions that someone can identify / pick on ....

I'll post it when I get through with ebay.

^^^ How do you know you were scammed? 1.2 BTC including worlwide shipping ..... 2gd2btru!
So did he not provide tracking within a few days of sale, did they not show up after a week or two, like pekatete asked how do you know you were scammed? Even with BTC payment a legitimate seller that is so active will most likely not risk loosing his 100% feedback so easily.. This started on March 13th. We messaged back and forth through eBay until we struck a deal, at which point he provided me with a BTC address to send my payment to. Sent him the payment, and asked him a follow up question. No answer on the 13th, or the 14th. On the 15th, I was worried so I wrote him again. Still no answer. I decided to bid up all 3 of them since I had paid for them already, and he only had those 3 to sell. They are legitimately mine, so why not. Trying to get his attention. He finally gets back to me last night, asking why I bid such a ridiculous price on all 3 of his items, proceeds to remove my bids, and sends me another message informing me that he did. Keep in mind he completely ignored my previous messages I sent him after paying him. The 3 SP20Es are still up for sale, he's still ignoring me, and I can no longer bid on them or use the "ask the seller a question" option. Seems he's banned me from his auctions. Do I have any recourse? The 3 SP20Es I bought are apparently available for local pickup in France, and he told me he has more SP20Es being hosted in Israel when he was actually communicating with me. I guess the only thing I can do is contact eBay, though I doubt they'll help since I paid with bitcoin. Ohh, you didn't buy the items through ebay and pay via BTC, you just sent BTC directly to him.. Does ebay not even have a completed sale to reference?

Does ebay not even have a completed sale to reference? PayPal [owned by eBay and is eBay's created means of making payments] does not accept BTC payments yet. If eBay (PayPal) had accepted BTC payments, this would not have occurred. Pisses me off! I think the issue may be that the price of BTC could change between the time of payment [While PayPal holds the payment] and the time the item is received by the buyer. The way to settle that is for the seller to simply accept an agreement when accepting bitcoin that they will be okay with BTC payment if the price of BTC has changed between the time of sell and the buyer receiving the item.

PayPal [owned by eBay and is eBay's created means of making payments] does not accept BTC payments yet. If eBay (PayPal) had accepted BTC payments, this would not have occurred. If ebay decided to act as an escrow service, it could still have occurred - but with ebay taking on the burden of every single such instance (similar to paypal/credit card). This also would not have occurred if... on eBay, paid [...] using BTC (I know, I know..) ...he hadn't acted on what he knew was a bad idea... and also against e-bay's rules. No schadenfreude here - if the seller doesn't deliver, they can go rot somewhere, and I'm hoping this will be resolved positively for Prelude. But let's not slight the platform for a user's sidestepping.

here is my question and his answer (i have decided not to buy it): hi if i would like to get all of them with bitcoin, will you accept escrow from reputable forum member bitcointalk.org ? thanks Hello, I don't know that forum so nobody can be reputable to me there. I'm reputable here on ebay as you can see by my feedback. Feel free to contact all my previous buyers and ask them how it went. Best regards

Best regards I inquired about these same units myself, got a very similar reply when i asked if he has an online presence elsewhere from ebay. sounds like he might be trying to "sell" these to multiple people for BTC, but only end up shipping to the ebay winners. very much not cool

^^^ Just a cautionary note. We do not know how many (if any) units the seller has at their disposal for sale. Saying that, for 1.2 BTC including worlwide shipping for a ~ 1.5Th/s rig sounds too good to be true. (bitmain are selling a brand new S5 which is circa ~1.3Th/s for the same amount plus shipping).

bitmain is 1.155 th advertized ( not 1.3 Th) for 1.42 BTC (which includes shipping to US in two weeks)

Brand new S5 running at 1.13Th/s for BTC 1.42* as opposed to a used SP20 running at 1.5Th/s for BTC 1.2* .... too good to be true! * with or without shipping

For an SP30, can someone explain how the following Start ASIC Voltage Top/Bottom (0.58-0.70) ASIC Voltage Limit (0.590-0.790) Max PSU Power Top/Bottom (500W - 1900W) affect the hashing rate for underclocking purposes? I saw this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=960937.msg10657999#msg10657999but it only changes ASIC voltage top/bottom, without changing voltage limit and PSU power.. I tried voltage top/bottom 0.61/0.62, and PSU power 1200W, got ~4Ths, then same voltage and PSU power 800W, got 3,3Ths

Agreed! I'm pissed at my president and all he is doing to try to get rid of Benjamin Netanyahu. Our world will be a much better place with my president in the US out of office.

I was pissed at the president when he took a couple weeks to campaign internationally when he ran the first time in 2007. Since, you know, foreign leaders are supposed to vote in US elections.

Don't get me started on this 'president'. Only thing he presides over is creating more racial tensions and a 'gimme-that' society.

By putting a lower maximum limit you limit the miner maximum speed. If you want to underclock it then you should have it lower than 0.660. What are you trying to achieve exactly? 3Th/s at 1500W?
