861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ouch, today someone made a transaction with over $500k fee. on: September 12, 2023, 09:11:41 AM
It is truly unbelievable. This is a very large amount of money that was paid in fees. I cannot believe how someone could send such a large amount and not check the transaction two or three times before sending. I don’t know what to call this. Is it bad luck or negligence?

I don't know how this error happened in the first place? When I send Bitcoin from my wallet, the fees are determined automatically, and there is a maximum and a minimum limit for the fees. So how did this error occur and fees were sent that exceed the maximum limit by thousands of times? Unless the wallet this unlucky person used allows manual entry of fees or the wallet has a problem.
862  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Not Very Promising - Profit: 0.5 – 1% Daily - May Be SCAM - Replies Not Needed on: September 12, 2023, 04:54:48 AM
If it is difficult for you to determine whether it is legitimate or a scam at the present time, then you can easily invest and you will be sure that it is a scam (after you have been defrauded, of course).

I have tried such sites in the past, where they give you attractive daily profits. They pay at the beginning, but when you deposit a large amount, you will not see the site again or you will not be able to withdraw.

If you are convinced that it is legitimate, you are free to risk your money, but you do not have to invite people to subscribe to such suspicious sites?
863  Economy / Speculation / Re: Michael Saylor predicts Bitcoin can go to $5 million? on: September 12, 2023, 04:23:49 AM
It is unlikely that Michael Saylor said that he expected the value of Bitcoin to reach $5 million. This is a very exaggerated number and far from reality. It may happen, but not for decades.

But in any case, if the news is true, perhaps Michael Saylor is deliberately saying this to give some optimism and boost the price of Bitcoin at this downward time. These fiery statements give optimism to investors in the long term, especially if they are from influential figures in the world of Bitcoin.
864  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Faruk Fatih Özer, founder of Thodex found guilty sentenced to 11,196 years on: September 12, 2023, 03:00:00 AM
I don't think it can happen in this matter because this has got international publicity.
Even if the news receives international media coverage, this is not a big problem for powerful corrupt politicians, they always have solutions ready for any problem as long as the money is there.

Here in my country, for example, we still have death sentences. However, there are many incidents where criminals were able to escape the death sentence if they had money or their relatives were high-ranking politicians or children of high-ranking officials.

Everything can be done with money and political power.
865  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics 101. Stagflation. on: September 11, 2023, 05:36:43 PM
In fact, all of our economies live in these cases regardless of the names. We may not realize the subtle differences between the different names in the economy, but in fact we live and suffer from them without knowing what the name is called.

In my country, we have been suffering for years from the deterioration of the economy, slow growth, low demand, low employment, high prices, low domestic product, the collapse of the value of the national currency and hundreds of other economic problems. I do not know how any government can solve all these problems?

In fact, the average person does not care much about all these academic terms. All he cares about is searching for practical solutions to get out of this misery, because there is no hope for him that the government will solve any problem from the list of accumulated problems.
866  Other / Meta / Re: Too Many Forum Boards - Outdated Threads - Let's Delete Boards on: September 11, 2023, 04:44:12 AM
You cannot say that there are boards that are no longer needed. It is true that there are many sub-boards that are inactive, but some topics are written from time to time, and the order and coordination of the forum must be maintained, which emerged as a result of the need to sort and index topics over the years and not as a result of a sudden decision.

Basically, these sub-boards were created for the purpose of indexing topics and arranging the forum into sections so that it is easy for the member to find the section in which he wants to write or search for a specific topic. Deleting subboards or merging them with the main board will result in loss of format and arrangement in the forum.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do we benefit in lies in forum on: September 11, 2023, 02:35:23 AM
Yes, there are many of these stories on the forum that seem unrealistic or false, but no one has proof that they are false stories. Investigating such stories would be a waste of time because it is very difficult to prove whether they are true or not.

The main reason behind such stories is either to attract attention or gain merit, but as long as they do not violate the rules of the forum and do not offend anyone, nothing can be done.

Also, some of these stories are true even though they do not seem so, so it would be unfair to accuse everyone of their stories being fictional or false.
868  Economy / Economics / Re: Thundr gaming releases puzzle game to earn BTC via Nostr on: September 10, 2023, 11:38:46 AM
I promised myself never to play anything like Tetris again, after I played it for a few days and then could not sleep for days!! ... I kept seeing little Tetris blocks falling and I could not get to sleep.  Sad

I have friends who love Sudoku and Tetris ..so I will rather pass it onto them.... it's just not fun for me. I love the concept that they are using Bitcoin as a prize.... back in the day.. games like this was all over the place.  Tongue
Haha, exactly the same thing happened to me, when I've been playing for a long time I can't sleep for hours watching the stones fall and I flip them over. Cheesy

But regardless, I find the idea worthwhile to “spread Bitcoin adoption through gaming” a really attractive one, that could attract hundreds of players around the world who love these popular classic games.

But in my opinion, saying that these games help adoption is an exaggeration, because these players will aim primarily for profit and entertainment in the second place, and they will not care much about adoption.
869  Other / Meta / Re: Simplified view of bitcointalk. on: September 10, 2023, 02:42:41 AM
The longer you stay in the forum the more you get used to the current interface both on your pc or your mobile phone, zooming in to view the content of a thread is not really a big deal it takes less than a minute to get it done.

You not only need to enlarge the display of the topic, but you also need to move the screen from left to right every time because the content does not appear entirely on the screen, and this is the annoying thing, especially if the topic is long.

For me, I find the display on the mobile phone very annoying and difficult to get used to, even if I spend a long time browsing the forum, especially for those who own mobile phones with a small screen.

Not only reading but also writing is annoying especially when you need to use writing tools.
870  Economy / Economics / Re: Building wealth it's not just one time Luck on: September 09, 2023, 03:45:08 PM
There is no wealth that comes easily except through luck, such as gambling or inheritance, or through long-term investment in projects in which you have sufficient knowledge and experience.

But as I see it, most of the successful wealthy people who built their wealth on their own have achieved their wealth by investing in a new field. When a new technology or new invention appears, there is a great opportunity to achieve profits by trying to take advantage of the great profit opportunities and little competition, when the field of investment is new. Big profits can be made since there is little competition in the beginning.
871  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: rmcrypt.com - Ponzi scheme sugarcoated as a platform for sharing "donations" on: September 09, 2023, 08:21:42 AM
This is an open forum, you can advertise the product you want provided that it does not violate the terms of the forum, the point of contention is here: you say that this is not a Ponzi scheme while most members agree that this is a Ponzi scheme and therefore against the rules of the forum.

Although I agree with the rest of the members that this is a Ponzi scheme, and you yourself say that the way the application works is very similar to Ponzi schemes, but as you said, this all depends on the user's will to participate in the application or not, so in the end if they lose their money, it falls Blame them alone.
872  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: UK’s Travel Rule comes into effect on: September 09, 2023, 03:11:50 AM
This means, that any incoming transfer to any crypto exchange or service in the UK will have its origin checked in accordance with AML/CFT rules? If this transportation is discovered to be in violation, the travel rule will be applied and the transportation will be blocked.

But what legal action will be taken in such a case? Will they just block the transfer without confiscating the crypto assets or will these transferred assets be confiscated?

Through the Travel Rule, any transferred crypto assets can simply be blocked on the grounds that they are in violation of the Travel Rule. Centralized exchanges have become a very dangerous place and I expect to see more centralized exchanges leaving for wallets and decentralized exchanges.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Stabilize Bitcoin on: September 08, 2023, 06:30:36 PM
The first step to stabilizing the price of Bitcoin is to stop measuring it in dollars or any other fiat currency, but this is a long way off at the moment.

If Bitcoin is not measured in dollars, what standard will we use to determine the price of Bitcoin? Even if this standard is acceptable in one country, it will not be acceptable in other countries. We need a unified global standard that is accepted by all countries of the world, and this will not happen unless the collective adoption of Bitcoin by all governments around the world.

This is theoretically, but in practice it is almost impossible, because there are many factors and variables that prevent the stability of the price of Bitcoin, and there are many people, you can even say the vast majority of them, no longer want or care about the stability of the price of Bitcoin.

It is highly unlikely that your statement will ever materialize, bitcoin assuming the position of fiat as a universal measuring unit is simply impossible. That will only happen if the government finds a way to control bitcoin and they still care about bitcoin.

When talking about bitcoin becoming a currency, everyone wants it to be used as a currency, but when talking about bitcoin's stability, no one wants that to happen. This is quite a controversial issue for any of us. We all want to maintain bitcoin's volatility and want it to become a currency, that will never happen.
Yes, I know that it is highly unlikely. I mentioned in my post that this is theoretical, but in practice it is almost impossible, because no governments will accept Bitcoin because it is decentralized, and investors no longer want the stability of Bitcoin at all. They make profits from these fluctuations, so why do they want its stability?

Yes, this is a controversial issue because we want to get global adoption and at the same time we want to continue to get profits through volatility, this contradiction cannot be solved simply!!!
874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bot for sevenseas.exchange on: September 08, 2023, 07:50:31 AM
You must provide sufficient information, what types of trading are available? What strategies does the robot use? Does it require KYC?

In addition if you want to use a trading bot it is better to use the bots of known and trusted exchanges, you risk using an unknown bot on an unknown exchange!!!

Finally, the robot is not suitable for use by anyone because the robot implements the information you give it, so the user must have sufficient experience to program the robot with the necessary commands.

876  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: قائمة وظائف العملات المشفرة on: September 08, 2023, 03:06:14 AM

877  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CGMD miners redefine passive income opportunities with innovative cloud mining on: September 07, 2023, 04:17:29 PM
In addition to fixed income by about 30% within 20 days, the greed of users increases, and a period of 20 days is sufficient for fraud. Therefore, this project is not cloud mining, but Ponzi/HYIP.
Yes, what you say is completely correct. I have tried cloud mining previously. They do not give a fixed percentage or a fixed income, but rather they give you profits (fake, of course) according to the hash power you buy.

Previously, in my beginning, I purchased hash power for Bitcoin mining from the cloud mining site "genesis-mining", and they gave me decreasing profits every day until they became 0 because of their claim that the difficulty of mining increases and the profits decrease. In the end, I was not able to recover the capital.
878  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hong kong x Bitcoin on: September 07, 2023, 10:52:24 AM
You have the right to be surprised given the high expectations that preceded the launch of the exchange, since it is related to the Hong Kong government, but as you mentioned, the launch took place a few days ago, so it is still too early to judge.

Perhaps the exaggeration of expectations was caused by social networking sites and not by exchanges. Many people expected that the exchanges supported by the government would be able to compete with the large, well-known exchanges.

But so far, we see only weak performance and low volumes for Bitcoin and Ethereum on the USD, USDT, and USDC pairs.
Let's wait and see.
879  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crosspass - a simple way to share passwords, encryption keys, banking info on: September 07, 2023, 04:42:03 AM
One's finances should be private.

Every time you post your bitcoin address, or email it, mass surveillance associates it with you and records how much money you have received. That's why ZCash went to so much trouble to hide the identity of the sender of crypto.
Yes, I liked the idea of hiding the Bitcoin address. In this way, privacy can be increased by sending the Bitcoin address out of sight.

But the thing I didn't like about sharing the password or encryption key, I know you'll tell me it's safe and that it's "encrypted end to end" But how can I be confident that the program does not store passwords and encryption keys and keep them in the database after sharing them?

As you know there was a major incident related to this particular point and sensitive user data was seized due to it being saved and not deleted.
880  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: Ledger تحذير من محافظ on: September 07, 2023, 02:56:42 AM
https://docs.trezor.io/trezor-firmware/common/reproducible-build.html
