SegWit not Bitcoin?
Correct.

Here is Bitcoin white paper

Satoshi quote

A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution.

Satoshis Version is Peer to Peer (Men to Men, Person to Person) without a Segregated Witness (SegWit).aka creating a banking channel. (like opening a bank account).

Base on your question, I can conclude that ripple is a cryptocurrency. Because the meaning of cryptocurrency is the next digital currency. So ripple is part of that. And also ripple is listed in coinmarket cap with the other tokens and coins.

lol that scam listed on coin marketcrap
XRP is slaves choice.
People interact Peer to Peer. (Man to Man, with 3rd party involment)

863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV? on: December 07, 2018, 05:00:18 PM
I don't see the potential location of the Bitcoin SV. The coin is only a fork coin from BCH. If you think this is a coin that has great potential, explain to me why the bitcoin SV can be potential in the future?

Bitcoin SV is Satoshi's peer to peer continuation. If you think that has no weight your a complete foul.
Bitcoin SV is for hardcore crypto enthusiasts, price is secondary.
Bitcoin with segwit (segregated witness) is bankers hacked version.

SV drained itself trying to win the war with ABC and it lost. Some people still believe that Craig is Satoshi and that one day he'll prove it and the value of SV will increase. Some were hoping that SV will take over ABC and become the better BCH. SV is worth half of what people are paying for ABC so it can still have potential but both BCH versions are not worth the risk. I wouldn't buy them.
That's what I want to ask and I need to hear more widely, that some people believe that Craig is satoshi. Although not necessarily the truth now. Could the BCH holders benefit from all this? is there a connection? Thank you pixie85,,

This and more such stuff might incoming to folks not following the legal protocol definition - there is only one. No matter who has written up.

But all trying to sell Bitcoin - and cannot deliver the real Bitcoin (legally defined in the white paper)  - are scamming ppl.

Legally defined in white paper is peer to peer. Anyone can point me to the section where it says after X time change to 3rd party system.

Here are Satoshi quotes, where is there any reference to a segregated witness, 3rd party (segwit).

What is needed is an electronic payment system based on cryptographic proof instead of trust, allowing any two willing parties to transact directly with each other without the need for a truste third party. Transactions that are computationally impractical to reverse would protect sellers from fraud, and routine escrow mechanisms could easily be implemented to protect buyers.

We need a way for the payee to know that the previous owners did not sign any earlier transactions. For our purposes, the earliest transaction is the one that counts, so we don't care about later attempts to double-spend. The only way to confirm the absence of a transaction is to be aware of all transactions. In the mint based model, the mint was aware of all transactions and decided which arrived first. To accomplish this without a trusted party, transactions must be publicly announced, and we need a system for participants to agree on a single history of the order in which they were received. The payee needs proof that at the time of each transaction, the majority of nodes agreed it was the first received.

I would be surprised if 10 years from now we're not using electronic currency in some way, now that we know a way to do it that won't inevitably get dumbed down when the trusted third party gets cold feet.

With e-currency based on cryptographic proof, without the need to trust a third party middleman, money can be secure and transactions effortless.

A lot of people automatically dismiss e-currency as a lost cause because of all the companies that failed since the 1990's. I hope it's obvious it was only the centrally controlled nature of those systems that doomed them. I think this is the first time we're trying a decentralized, non-trust-based system.

XRP is slaves money.
It is designed for stupid clueless greedy slaves.
Any third party involvement anywhere (segwit, ripple, masternodes.....) is literary a bigger scam than existing fiat.

The emergence of different bitcoins is all because of the greed of people, we need only 1 BTC which will become stronger over time.
Unfortunately banks changed bitcoin and fundamentalist bitcoiners dont like it, so they separate from the bankers version and reclaim original interpretation.

Bring back guillotine.

The battle of peer to peer and segwit (segregated witness) and also xrp is just exchanging a bunch of crooks with even worse crooks.
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP really better than ETH??? on: November 27, 2018, 03:40:02 PM
Is the XRP really better than ETH ?? can be seen now ETH descends to TOP 3 sites https://coinmarketcap.com and XRP goes up to TOP 2. how do you think it is true XRP is better than ETH
Ranking in marketcap is not a basis if the coins is much better than the other. ..............................
What i thought checking three times if coin still there means it is not some fraudulent operation.
And Coinmarketcap ranking tells everything of the coins quality.

I have only started watching this thread daily from January this year. Would love to read back how the sentiment was during those times, do you remember which page you started reading from?

Could somebody merit him, I would if I could.

If you're a regular, you should wear the hat.

The biggest scam on earth to be replaced be the biggest scam in crypto, oh wow, mankind is evolving.
2% yearly inflation (wealth loss) to replace 2% yearly inflation (loss of wealth)
fiat never belongs to an individual just "holding" it in the wallet or bank, xrp always belongs to ripple and someone can hold some
fiat anonym, xrp 100% enslaving, a scam that good it "downgrades", or should we say upgrading the scam.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no more hope in cryptocurrency on: November 23, 2018, 02:10:46 PM
I personally have no doubts about the fact that we will soon recover and everything will be fine in the cryptocurrency market
Soon, is good. A few days ago i thought recovery starts, was wrong, oh well soooon
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin SV on: November 23, 2018, 01:36:17 PM
There will always be people who stick to bitcoins principles and why it was created in the first place by satoshi.
The “Nakamoto consensus” determines protocol rules according to the original Bitcoin white paper:   https://www.bitcoin.com/bitcoin.pdf
If the banks would not have touched it no fork would exist. A bankers bitcoin has nothing to do with the founders creations

Just picked up some food at the local 7/11, and noticed they are selling some kind of electronic security gadget. Push a button to call for help to your location.

This is a safe country, and a safe part of the country. I wouldn't have imagined there was a market for something like this. Something fucky going on.

You're reading too much into it. It's called Push Button Emergency Help, it's intended to be used for medical emergencies. Primarily for senior citizens. Imagine you're having a stroke, fall down, etc... you're in serious pain and can't really talk...
I asked about it, they specifically said it was for when someone is attacking you.

Its times like this make you wounder.
Did check up on http://www.deagel.com/ a side which can tell you exactly all offense or defensive weapon systems developed Army, Navy and Airforce, operated for all countries.
Also space systems, propulsion, sensor systems......... (links at bottom of page)
It also informs on civil aviation that  easyJet Ordered  17 Additional Airbus A320neo Jetliners, and and and

All damn cool until you hit the countries 2025 forecast link, and UK, Germany..... figures. That raises a few eyebrows and how relevant is bitcoin price.

Mmm... I feel a tickling that this is not the bottom.
Well i went "all in" the other day at 4770 grabbing a bargain, so i thought. It did teach me a thing or two of being greedy.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP really better than ETH??? on: November 22, 2018, 09:00:38 PM
XRP more modern coin. Very often, the network gets the news about cooperation with various financial institutions. At ETH there is no such. The Ethereum team is gradually working on its update and very rarely produces any news. In any case, both coins will exist for a long time.
A: Ripples cooperation with other has absolutely nothing to do with XRP
B: Several projects on the way where banks team up and make the one private payment network.
C: XRP is a full blown scam, which can never be owned, like a casino chip, token, jeton always belongs to the company issuing it.
