Please post any changes in WU, that is really all that matters because that is what we are paid for.

WU previously included HW errors, so a drop doesn't automatically mean worse.

can you say scam?

I believe I can....

when you add a pool is it failover only?  or shared?

It's failover, if you want one of the other options you can change it through cgminer.

Great to see a house being sold for BTC

On something this valuable curious why you choose not to link the price to the $ amount as small changes in BTC can make a huge difference in the cost and could put buyers off or cost you a lot of money.

Currently the starting bid is $10,000 more than it's advertised for no doubt due to the spike in the last day.

Anyway good luck with your sale Smiley

there seems something wrong with the balance ?
I think I got 19 BTC too much showing up in my account

This is a long shot, and I might be wrong but it may just possibly perhaps be something to do with....

PS Wish this was real

I see, thanks for letting me know
If somehow you could set that TZ variable during boot that may be a good solution but I know nothing about linux so no idea how.
867  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC ASIC Users Thread & FAQ on: October 18, 2013, 01:42:29 PM
if you want to change the timezone only, you can set your env var 'TZ=GMT'  (or whatever you prefer)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg3337684#msg3337684

However it will not sync your time with ntp servers as the approach above from Tigggger

Tried that method as well, but although #date gave the correct response it didn't update the already running cgminer for me which was the thing that was annoying.

Be nice to have a permanent method, ideally an option in the GUI to select timezone.

How are you seeing the %? I am running the latest CK firmware and I don't see the % in my HW stats. Sad

Luke Jr will probably have something running before that happens but without the code released nothing is going to get created

From IRC: [20:14] <Luke-Jr> fwiw, I have KnC cgminer source
870  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: October 16, 2013, 08:53:49 PM
Thanks for the info.

Do you know if the units run cooler with their lids off than having it on? I have a 18" fan blowing air at my B1 and B2 units.
No problem.

They are designed to stay closed, and I'd leave it that way. Nzhang (sp?) said a lot was done on the airflow and pressures.

PS Solved my remote problem, I had set it up correctly the first time the problem was with chrome, when I looked at the error it was "ERR_UNSAFE_PORT", quick google search showed that adding --explicitly-allowed-ports=xxx to the end of it's shortcut was all that was required to get it going again Smiley
871  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: October 16, 2013, 08:03:23 PM
what should I set the --auto-cutoff on my 4 module?

I had it set to 60 when I had 3 modules.

Batch #1 & #2 (50 temp, 70 cutoff)
Batch #3 (70 temp, 90 cutoff)

Isn't the point of a reverse auction that it gets cheaper as time goes on, this gets more expensive.  Huh
873  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: October 15, 2013, 04:47:58 PM
You should see some response unless the network your Avalon is plugged into is filtering everything, then you will have open port 80 on the LAN to your Avalon. You should take a laptop and go plug into the same network as your Avalon is on then confirm it's IP and confirm see what the external IP is by going to "what's my IP" in google. If the place where your Avalon is running isn't too complicated you should be able to use that IP (from the outside) to hit your Avalon, if it's setup different you may need to find out which external IP you need to come in on.

Not there at the moment, but I seem to recall the browser just said unable to connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, the port 22 forward worked fine so I just presumed it wasn't port 80

Now I know it is I'll try again in case I messed something up, or investigate further in case the router is not allowing forwarding on that port.

Thanks Smiley
874  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: October 15, 2013, 04:21:25 PM
It does accept port 80, so create a rule on your firewall to port forward some external port to your Avalon on port 80. ie. incoming port -> TCP 37000 to 192.168.1.99 ->TCP 80, this way from the outside you will have to http://externalIP:37000/ to see the webpage on the Avalon.

Thanks that was the first thing I tried xxxx->80 and it didn't work but will give it another go.
875  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: October 15, 2013, 10:01:30 AM
I've just had to move my avalon off site and wondering the best way to remote monitor it.

I set up port forwarding on 22 to allow me to SSH into the machine, is there a way to view cgminer output like how on my jupiter I can do a screen -r.

Alternatively how do I access the main page that comes up if I connect to the ip on a local network (192.168.1.99/cgi-bin/luci/;stok=....) remotely, is it also done through port forwarding and if so what ports ?
876  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC ASIC Users Thread & FAQ on: October 13, 2013, 11:57:59 AM
Added details of how to show the correct times into the first post

Modifications
Fixing the time.
Machines appear to ship with the time set to UTC, although it's not important it did annoy me not having the correct time, these instructions came from Nanners on the IRC channel and worked for me, replace 'tigggger' with whatever you want.
Quote
1. cd /config
2. mkdir tigggger
3. cd /config/tigggger
4. wget http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/feeds/v2012.12/ipk/eglibc/all/tzdata_2012d-r3.0_all.ipk
5. opkg install /config/tigggger/tzdata_2012d-r3.0_all.ipk
6. rm /etc/localtime (NOTE this gave an error for me as the directory wasn't there, but not important just carry on)
7. ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/YOURTIMEZONE /etc/localtime (In my case it was /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Belfast)
8. cd /
9. /etc/init.d/ntpd reload
10. ntpdate -b -u pool.ntp.org

Now if you look at cgminer the time should be correct.

sitarow, can I ask what you are using to produce that stats image, looks good.

Yes and you can read about setting it up on the cgminer documentation under miner.php

Ah didn't realise it was the built in one, don't recall seeing a screenshot of it before.

Thanks

Could be but why was your network diff showing 67.7M?  That would imply the device in the video existed and mined months ago?

It's not the only thing dodgy in that video.

1. The username on btcguild is wrong, it would be infx1_1 not .1
2. The times in the bottom of the screen loop back (implying this is just a .bat script posing as cgminer)
3. Highest share 2, but bottom of the screen reports much higher accepted shares
4. WU 24, doesn't match the numbers it should be getting or the numbers in the individual miners

I'm sure there are more, nice try but gonna have to give it 2/10 must try harder
