I have a first-day preorder (actually, an order from 6/14/13 for four FPGA Singles that was converted) for two SC Single 60GH/s. This order has recently been confirmed by BFL customer service staff to be considered a first day preorder, and will be one of the first orders to ship out. I would like to sell one of them for 200 BTC.
Details:
Escrow through a trusted forum member is fine, but I won't be doing refunds (unless you don't get the unit, obviously). If something is wrong with the unit, then you would be expected to deal with BFL. The warranties are transferable, and I don't want to be the one on the hook if BFL sent out a non-working unit. I would not be testing the unit at all - only shipping it directly to you as soon as I receive it.
I would ship via UPS (unless you want a different service), insured for $50,000, overnight, with early AM delivery. I would ship out the day I received it. Basically, everything I can do to make sure it gets to you as quickly and safely as possible. Shipping costs would be covered by me, but I would require a small portion of the escrow amount be sent to me prior to shipping so I can cover those shipping costs (~$600!).

If you had a large FedEx package and would not deny being the delivery guy then you would probably be able to take a peak  I mean who would want to carry something heavy into the office him/herself? Kansas State Fire Code says that the front door must remain unlocked during business hours, so I'll just open in and walk in! Well, you do that, but unlocked door is not the same as open to the public. Far from it, actually. So? If locked, I knock on the door! What is wrong with you people? What are you afraid of? I don't think anyone's afraid of anything. You're just being an arrogant jerk by not calling them up and scheduling a visit, when they have publicly requested that visitors do so.  |

You should record video. Also, regaurding the comment about bfl being a manufacturer, they are more than just that. They have a marketing department, a manufacturing department, and about 2 - 3 others. They are in fact a business, so as the OP said, they must have "open hours" where people may stop by.

Manufacturers are required to have operating hours? Why not schedule a visit instead of dropping in unannounced, knowing that BFL requests visitors to schedule visits? |

Even with some severe difficulty increases a ROI of 1 year seems like a good investment to me.
There is going to be a premium involved in buying your way to the front of a very long pre order line as well.
I paid 25 BTC for this pre order (Yes, you can point and laugh, but that was the price back then), if there are no better offers I will simply mine the coins myself as I originally intended.
If mining with it is such a good deal, then why do you not keep itself to yourself? Your calculations seem to be completely missing the (what appears now as) exponentially increasing difficulty. My offer of 0.75 BTC stands. It is a good offer. :-) That's a terrible offer. |
