881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the IMF Qualms With Regulating/ Banning Bitcoin? on: February 27, 2023, 08:11:56 AM
They'd like to regulate Bitcoin more seriously but not ban it. They are smart enough to know that they are unable to ban it but in the meantime, before better regulations they can think of, and will be approved and enforced, they will try to make as many fud as possible to fear the crowd.

If the crowd feel fearful about Bitcoin, think of it like something illegal and can bring them to jails, they will keep good distance to Bitcoin. It will reduce the adoption rate of Bitcoin and IMF will feel happily enough like their fud campaign gains some success.
882  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with profitability on: February 27, 2023, 06:08:11 AM
What if I say it is 0x leverage. It means you should not trade with leverage but with Spot trading only.
There is no 0 leverage, leverage starts from one which assume the spot trading type of an asset. If you do not want to use leverage, you will set the leverage to at least 1.
By 0 leverage, I meant don't use leverage.

Do you think your collateral is safe with x1 leverage. The coin you use as a collateral can lose its value anytime and if that coin drop 50% in price, your x1 leverage will no longer be x1 leverage.

I experienced lost with leverages and I would say, if you don't earn a lot from this market, you should not trade with leverage. Risk to lose money with leverage is big enough and if anyone think using leverage can help them getting rich, forget that idea.
883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with profitability on: February 26, 2023, 10:13:58 AM
As an experienced day trader, or a scalper, if you have $1000, what profit will you be looking for? Also what amount is your stop loss?
You must have your risk / reward ratio like 1/3. It means you should open your trading position if you see a chance to get 30% profit with that position and only 10% loss with it.

10% should be your cut-loss, not bigger.

What leverage would you prefer to use?
What if I say it is 0x leverage. It means you should not trade with leverage but with Spot trading only.

Quote
Recently I find it more profitable to earn just $5 daily either through scalping or scalp trading that is turned into day trading. I am not using altcoins for this but bitcoin.
$5 daily from $1000, please don't joke.

If you only look for $5, your risk / reward ratio is bigger than 1/3 and I believe maybe risk is higher than reward. You should not trade if chance to lose is bigger than chance to gain.
884  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: African government against or for crypto?? on: February 26, 2023, 09:36:37 AM
2022 Global crypto adoption index
Cryptocurrency regulations around world

Regulations won't be loosen to easily for citizens in African continent but if around the world, cryptocurrency adoption becomes bigger and regulations are more friendly, countries in African continent won't stay out of the common trend globally. They will follow a global trend legally but before that I believe citizens there are very adaptive with cryptocurrencies.

Those people are un-banked find easier access to financial world with cryptocurrencies and it can change their lives and give them chance to work with cryptocurrency projects too.
885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HERE ARE LIST OF VERY USEFUL CHART PATTERNS TO LEARN AND MAKE MONEY IN CRYPTO 🫡 on: February 26, 2023, 07:43:38 AM
This free source is good to use too. Awesome crypto trading.

I looked at your Trading educational channel that looks informative and you did spent time to create those educational resources. It is helpful for newbies but I think you should add more information in your announcement thread. Screenshots, charts and brief description about your channel.

Before people visiting your channel, they must feel impressive and have reasons to join it.
886  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Would you Describe Yourself As A Day Trader? on: February 26, 2023, 07:27:28 AM
I can consider myself a day trader also because I do trades with this kind of timespan.
Being a day trader, it's difficult because from time to time you really need to watch or observe the price action, and through that, you will able to analyze the market.
The risk here for me still depends, based on your risk management and/or risk:reward ratio.
If you are trading with 5 minute chart, your orders should be closed sooner than if you trade with 15-minute, 30-minute or 1-hour chart. With 5-minute chart, you should not let your position opens more than 1 hour or 2 hours.

Knowing about a maximum timespan to let your position active is important. It helps you to exit the market when it comes to a next big movement time. Market can move up and down after that time and if you are not sure about its next movement, exit your position, wait for a next chance to open a new position.

It requires very good discipline to protect your capital against market risk.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My local Humane Society now accepts Bitcoin for donations & the convo was easy! on: February 25, 2023, 09:28:09 AM
Well done for society and Bitcoin adoption too.

I wonder that what are conditions to be in list of accepted cryptocurrencies for donation?

Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Etheruem and Monero, all good. Claims coin is a big name in 2017 and 2018 but it was delisted from many exchanges. On coinmarketcap, I only see Yobit and Freiexchange.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/clams/markets/

I know your exchange accepts Clams coin too.

How about accepting Litecoin?

I really like that only Proof-of-Work coins are accepted.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 25, 2023, 07:48:46 AM
AS Roma and Manchester United will meet two Spanish clubs and they are both strong: Real Betis and Real Sociedad. Arsenal will play against Sporting but I think they can beat Sporting with their impressive performance in Premier League.

After the round of 16, there will be only 8 clubs left and we will have a clear picture for a title race. At the round of 16, everything is opened for every club. This season is special for Europa League as many big clubs in Europe are there: Juventus, Manchester United, Arsenal, Roma and their King Sevilla.

Real Betis and Real Sociedad are not big clubs in Europe but in La Liga, they have a very good season and beating a club at third position of La Liga is not an easy task for any club.

889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin [eventually] collapse? (scholar’s opinion) on: February 25, 2023, 07:02:17 AM
You looked for the wrong crowd on this forum to tell everyone that Bitcoin is useless in it's current form.  Roll Eyes  I see what you are saying and I agree that Bitcoin needs more use cases and applications to expand it's capabilities, but forking Bitcoin to do that is the wrong way to go... we saw what happened with the BCash wars.  Roll Eyes
Because people forking Bitcoin and create their forked coins not to create more use cases and applications for Bitcoin. They did that to create wealth for themselves by stealing Bitcoin from naive people who believe in their white paper, roadmap and bright future of those forks.

Unfortunately, those forks are dead altcoins and after a few years since 2017 fork year, very little Bitcoin forks still alive in 2023.

How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!!

Even not-dead-yet forks, they are far to call as successful projects. BCash is a failed project, not a successful project and it is a most famous Bitcoin fork.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Montana Senate unanimously approves the 'Right to Mine' Bitcoin bill. on: February 25, 2023, 06:56:39 AM
Miners have to find locations that they can have cheapest electricity and rent fee for their farmings. This bill is good and it can initiate a race to bring as most attractive bill and conditions for Bitcoin miners and cryptocurrency miners as possible.

I am not optimistic that it will have a very speedy progress but the trend is in and after about 10 years, we see more support for Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain including mining activities. It gives me a stronger belief that Bitcoin network won't be stopped and die because no government on Earth allow mining activities.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen once Hong Kong legalizes bitcoin? on: February 24, 2023, 04:28:24 PM
I think the opposite, it won't make a significant difference to the price of bitcoin since Hong Kong is a small country, so it won't have a huge impact on the market. If it's China or some other power, then that's really big news and will have a positive impact on bitcoin. But you are right, this shows that the world is gradually accepting bitcoin and becoming more crypto-friendly. At the current rate of development, I believe that the countries banning bitcoin will soon lift the ban, and the whole world will soon accept bitcoin.
If you consider HongKong is a small country and can not create big effects, you are wrong. Is El Salvador a big country in your opinion?

Effects from El Salvador Bitcoin Legal Tender, Bitcoin Beach City and many activities in that country contributed lot of effects on Bitcoin bull run in 2020 and 2021. Hongkong is a nation that has very close connection with Mainland China and please don't think that China must repeat the same things Hongkong do to see big effects in cryptocurrency market.

Only if people speculate about what China do after Hongkong is enough to create hype and pumps. Because they are very closely in geographical locations, many cryptocurrency companies will move from China to Hongkong to enjoy more friendly regulations there.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 24, 2023, 04:07:44 PM
Yes, now Barcelona must focus more on La Liga and the Copa Del Rey after being eliminated in the Europa League. This season is the right momentum for Barcelona to look back at the La Liga champions, the eight point advantage over Real Madrid must really be used until the end of the season. With the performances they have shown so far, I'm sure the Blaugrana's journey will go smoothly.
They have no other choice after were knocked out by Manchester United. Copa Del Rey is not too important with Barcelona and they will focus on La Liga. They have very good advantage in La Liga and it will be very terrible if with 8 points gap, they lose La Liga to Real Madrid at the end. It is more terrible because Real Madrid will have to continue to play with difficult matches in Champions League.

I read articles that wrote that Xavi is following steps of Antonio Conte who can helped his clubs to win domestic leagues, played well there but always had very bad results in cups especially in Champions League. Conte has bad records in cups from Juventus to Chelsea and Tottenham.

Barcelona have lost their next "big" match this season and can now focus entirely on La Liga. I look forward to the Barcelona-Real game with great interest. If Barcelona can't win it, then it would be ironic to become champions by farming underdogs while failing every other important game of the season. But that's the point of round robin tournaments (especially when the competition in the league is not very even).
In league, you can win it by beating weak teams and have as most total points as possible against your competitors. In cups, you will have to beat your opponents directly to go next, move far and lift a trophy. That is more challenging than winning domestic league.

Xavi and Barcelona lost one of their biggest matches in this season and also one of their biggest targets in this season too. They played not too bad but Manchester United played better and their players converted chances to goals better.
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin node connection shuts down: BlueWallet users urged to withdraw funds on: February 24, 2023, 01:54:37 PM
I don't think people store most of their bitcoins on Lightning network but this shutdown of Blue wallet is still a bad and very shock news.

Lightning Network grows a lot since 2020 and this event from Blue wallet can impact total channels and sum of channels value in near future. Currently I did not see big changes for both total open channels and sum of channels value. They actually decreased since early 2023 but we have yet seen impacts of Blue wallet event.

Let's wait how people will react with this and how it will impact Lightning Network in next one or two months.

894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your bitter-sweet experience in trading that you can't get over. on: February 24, 2023, 01:48:00 PM
Verge X Pornhub partnership.

That was way back 2018, and it's my first time to try trading. I still remember XVG or Verge coin developers telling to the public that they will be partnered with a popular company or website or whatever it is. At that time, the price of Verge started to pump already because of this rumors. I admit I got FOMO'ed at this time since I was a newbie in trading at that time. I bought at near it's peak and when they announced the company that they will be partnering with, the price of XVG dumped immediately and me? I lost half of my money just because of that mistake.
I knew about that pump that was around the time of John McAfee when he pumped altcoins a lot. Correct me if I am wrong and honestly I did not know how that altcoin is in the last bull run as well as now. My guess is it turns to a dead altcoin now.

Back in 2018, John McAfee could pump altcoins with his tweets and I remembered people can spend a lot of time to follow his Twitter around his favorite hours to wait for his tweets.

Quote
After that, I immediately withdrew all of my Bitcoin, and just held it (until now I'm still holding it Cheesy).
You did it right. Bitcoin is a best in bear market and it is a best coin in long term too. Altcoins can make you feel crazy by their massive pumps but if you stick with altcoins, you will lose money easily too.

With Bitcoin, if you can hold, you will get rich.
895  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your bitter-sweet experience in trading that you can't get over. on: February 24, 2023, 03:09:15 AM
Anyone who is into trading must have had some ugly experiences and also some good memories that either changed their lives or improved their financial status
Trading can make you richer and can make you poorer or worst bankrupted.

History says that mostly trading will make people poorer and many amateur traders got their lives broken by trading. Bankruptcies by tradings is very common for amateur traders.

Who are amateur traders? What do you think who they are?

Amateur traders are people who don't have knowledge and don't have good disciplines with their tradings. Time they spent in the market is not a big matter. You can spend 10 or 20 years in trading but you can still be an amateur trader.
896  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🛑 Sherbet.com 🍭 - #1 Social Casino & Sportsbook - PVP - $500 Deposit Bonus 🤑 on: February 23, 2023, 10:42:12 AM
Tron was a coin with the cheapest fee transaction, but currently it's already quite high and it's not the best choice anymore. I see the casino have added Solana which is this coin has cheap transaction fee. Actually rather than Tron, it's better to add Doge since it has more holders.
Exchanges usually charge cheaper transaction fee if they want to shill that coin like Binance gave $0 withdrawal fee with BUSD on Binance Smart Chain many months ago. When they finished their advertisements, they will stop $0 withdrawal fee campaign.

For competitive coins or chains, they will oppositely charge more expensive withdrawal fee and it's very reasonable action to attract users to what they want to advertise.

Blockchains have their own drawbacks and they usually have very cheap transaction fee when their chains are new born and their native currencies have cheap prices. However, when their chains become more popular, congested that often coincide with more expensive prices of their native currencies, transaction fees on chain and consequent withdrawal fee on exchanges will become more expensive.
897  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web Browsers begun to have inbuilt Cryptocurrency Wallets on: February 23, 2023, 10:35:31 AM
I'm using Opera browser for quite long time. Suddenly came across the tab Crypto Wallet. This was something unexpected and going through it, we were able to see the option available to create our own wallet. Have anyone came across Web browsers having Crypto Wallet other than Opera and Brave browser. Are these wallets safe?
Brave browser has their token $BAT as reward for their users but they will have to KYC to claim rewards.

I don't mind to use cryptocurrency wallets built up and provided by web browsers. Fundamentally I don't believe in web browsers and their activities to collect our data when we are using those browsers on Internet. If I can not trust them with web surfing data, I don't have reasons to trust them with my private keys, mnemonic seeds.

I have more reasons to don't use them because they are late comers in cryptocurrency wallets and with available older cryptocurrency wallets, those newborn wallets from web browsers are not attractive with me.

Brave browser tried to attract users by running reward in their token but with above reasons, I don't KYC with Brave to claim reward.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen once Hong Kong legalizes bitcoin? on: February 23, 2023, 10:19:03 AM
Smart people in China (or anywhere in the world) can use Bitcoin regardless of what their government thinks about it and what laws they pass.
They don't need to be too smart to do that. It is only they have interest in and want to do this or not.

Do Chinese governments can ban all their citizens to use the Internet and get access to news globally that are not controlled and censored by the People's Republic of China?
They did not completely block all their citizens to access to real news, not censored ones. If citizens one, they can access to freedom. Freedom in news and freedom in their own banks by Bitcoin.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Building bitcoin is building income on: February 23, 2023, 08:04:14 AM
it is more reasonable when this could be optimally achieved when the coin is at a low price. The return will be so much and I don't think that anyone trusting Bitcoin for long-term investment will lose in the end.
Buying bitcoin gradually like you are saving fiat in bank saving is good. It helps you to restrict yourself against unnecessary spendings and increase total capital you spend to buy bitcoin.

"Will not lose in the end", I don't know but if they don't lose their bitcoin, they will probably get profit for long term investment.

Because it is a long term investment, they will have to know safely ways and have good practice to create their wallets, store their bitcoins, backups and protect their backups.

Leaving your coins on exchanges is bad but it is more terrible if you self storing your bitcoin and don't have backups or lose backups at the end.
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another story telling how billionaires hate bitcoin? - read over quick coffee. on: February 23, 2023, 07:55:45 AM
You can not believe those rich influencers. They are rich but it does not mean they are honestly with what they said.

Many rich influencers simply said they hate Bitcoin that is scam, dead and whatever bad words against Bitcoin. Later they integrated Bitcoin into their business and said in interview that I invested in Bitcoin years ago.

Trust them, please don't!

Bitcoin is open source and there are opened documents to learn about it. Read to learn by yourself and build up your knowledge then belief in Bitcoin. Verify with learning and your belief will increase by knowledge, not by influencers.

If you need an example, the shark who supported FTX, a brand ambassador of that collapsed exchange and has never stopped attacking CZ and Binance. Years ago, he said Bitcoin is scam and months ago, in an interview he leaked that he invested in Bitcoin circa 2017 or 2016.  Roll Eyes
