881  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Misuse of the quote button on: February 02, 2019, 05:28:02 AM
--snip--

You can just snip it like that, users who are already reading, already know the earlier post and they do not need to see it again. If somebody jumped in middle of thread, then that user can reach to that desired post by the link .

I visited another forum based in SMF, they do not allow multiquotes.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Worthy to invest in Grin on: February 02, 2019, 02:40:36 AM
Grin has anonymous developer and ICO , that make it somewhat similar to BTC but on other side I read it is more difficult to transact (means less transaction and less demand) and infinite supply ( means coin will be minted with each block) so it might be short term gain or good gain in a year , due to hype or exchange listing but I am not hopeful in long term.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 crypto games you should be investing in today on: February 02, 2019, 02:28:41 AM
You should have included Steem Monsters in my opinion, my investments in that game have already paid off big time.
I got in early through their Kickstarter and turned my $50 investment in just over $300, by selling all my Kickstarter exclusive cards.

They have a pretty active player base and you generally don't have to wait longer than a minute to get into a match.

Need more info about Steem monster, I just purchased starter pack. Is I am able to play or earn something with starter pack or I need more bonus pack. Is I am late in Steem monster?
How do you like the gameplay?
884  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MERIT RANK UP FOR NEWBIES support on: February 02, 2019, 02:21:44 AM
Somebody who failed to get a single merit is giving tips.  Better you test your theory on your account first before suggesting to others.

@Harkorede : Did you already reported him?
885  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Misuse of the quote button on: February 02, 2019, 01:41:26 AM
I think forum should ban Multi quotes or pyramid quotes. They are just increasing the length of post without any value addition.
For long quotes, quoting can be limited to say 100 words.
886  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Inspirational stories from self-made promoted users on: February 02, 2019, 01:37:56 AM
I was one of the lucky people who ranked up to Legendary before the merit were introduced. I have to tell you that it was not "easy going" to reach this level, because a lot of other things were going on at the time. A lot of people were against signature campaigns at the time and some still are, so our posts were put under a magnifying glass and frequently reported for spamming.

It takes a lot of effort/research/grammar checking and reading to constantly provide constructive <quality> posts and sMerit is still important, even after you reached the highest ranks. <sMerit requirements for some Sig campaigns>  Tongue

You are in the 1 to 2 % of forum who were not posting shit. Actually you earned decent amount of merit. Many users fail to understand that knowledge ultimately pays.
Think, if you did not improved yourself and continued with shit, I guess you will get the opportunity that you are currently having.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tips for playing steemmonster and game earning potential. on: February 02, 2019, 01:10:52 AM
Recently I purchased the started pack for steemmonster game .(A blockchain game based on the steem).

888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: February 01, 2019, 03:38:52 PM
thanks freedomno1.
One more question, whether playing game hurt the RC in steem. Recently I played magicdice , and look like every bet is acting as a transfer in blockchain so require RC. Just curious how much RC is required in playing a single game.

Checked your profile, are these transaction are of selling of cards?
889  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Master Warlords - a Bitcoin Skill Based War Game on: February 01, 2019, 02:11:52 PM
You upgrade your army units using xp points (Not credits), you can earn xp points by fighting computer or even human players (Attack for XP). When attacking a human player to gain credits the system chooses a random opponent which is (in the range of +5% -5%) equal to your army. Therefore you can't choose who to attack. You have to choose what attribute of each unit type to upgrade to have an efficient army.

I played the game (few days back). I always win with the computer in easy mode and lost with the medium and hard level.
It is only choosing the opponent , then one click and the result is displayed.
where is the actual gameplay where user inputs are crucial it does not look to me you are taking any user inputs during the play.
890  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Comic - Volume #1 on: February 01, 2019, 01:27:53 PM
I would prefer a physical copy, because digital copies does not have the same feel, when you sit on the toilet, reading your favourite comic.  Tongue Roll Eyes

You can buy one of the 21 copies created. I am feeling if this comics is good it might get some kind of collectible value in future due to limited copies.

digital copies will be more practical in a global distribution environment, but it will also be pirated like crazy.  Angry

If it distributed globally as login id/password to a site, not be available to be as a direct pdf  to be distributed freely.

I guess if price is also ok, than user will prefer to buy instead to take pirated copy.

@,OP
After 2 or 4 useful reply, rest of the people  just copy the main idea.

I am looking at below topic.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5103224.20

OP in this topic is referring to vulnerability in forked blockchains.
But first replier replied  about hardware wallet ( no link with OP topic).  Now all of the herd is replying about hardware wallet information there.

I guess, it is now clear how shit posting continues.

I've just looked at the profile for the Beginners and Help moderator.

I do not think Theymos pays inactive moderator but problem is that he is not a active recruiter.

893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is approaching the absolute record for the time of the bear cycle! on: February 01, 2019, 08:27:22 AM
As long as network hash rate not dropping drastically,I do not find any reason to worry about the price too much.

https://www.blockchain.com/en/charts/hash-rate

When it first dipped below $4000 , it was predicted it will dip to $2500 but it got bounced from $3200. TBH, I am expecting $2500 in near future before it become stable.
894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN CAN'T BE DOUBLED. BE WARNED on: February 01, 2019, 07:58:36 AM
Not only Bitcoin doubler, all the sites asking for payment in BTC  like .1 BTC to send you 1 BTC also be avoided. They claim they have find a fault in BTC code so they are generating free BTC. Do not believe them and do not send them any BTC.
895  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.007 loan by tomorrow 1/2/2019 evening utc on: February 01, 2019, 03:14:39 AM
I can help, but not until late tonight.  I'll be stuck at work until 7pm (UTC-8) and I don't have that amount in my hot wallet.  If no one else can do it let me know.

May be OT, but why you are so eager to fill a no collateral loan of somebody having -ve reputation.

How do we know that escrow is fair. Can we get through another escrow. It may be that this is your escrow.

Below is the list of trusted escrow in this forum that is continuously reviewed by the OP.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5047302

bL4nkcode  is also that list or you can choose anyone from that list.
897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [LIST] Obtain Criptocurrencies without buying them on: February 01, 2019, 01:59:53 AM
What about a part time job like fixing code, testing applications, finding relevant info , creating a side project that can accept crypto as payment and so on.
All the ways that are used to earn Fiat are applicable to earn crypto.
898  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: length limitation to trust ratings on: February 01, 2019, 01:43:31 AM
While we are at it, why not limit the number of negative ratings that one user can give to another? Some sane limit e.g. 20 would be sufficient (AFAIK there has been no case where 10 was legitimately hit let alone more).

Instead of limit ,  a trust feedback cool down meter can be implemented. You can give only one feedback a day to a specific user. This will help in reducing trust spamming where a user is giving 50 long feedback in a day to a single user.
For length, I like the idea of view more, or fix the length of  trust feedback and user who like to write more can create a post and link to the feedback.

899  Other / Meta / Re: The reason behind "permanent" banning? on: February 01, 2019, 01:23:07 AM
OP, look like you are caring for user who do not care for the forum. There are so many users who got banned , created another account ( ban evasion) and second account again got banned for the reasons same as first one.
Hilariousandco already have thread about the alternative punishment instead of permanent ban, feel free to contribute there.
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I own 1 full Bitcoin!! on: January 31, 2019, 04:38:19 PM
Since you purchased little little every month, so I am interested in knowing how much this BTC cost you?
One more question, every month what is your reaction on BTC price? Will  you get happy ,that you are getting cheap or sad that your investment is not appreciated or even lost value ?

PS: Congratulations.
