881  Local / India / Re: BITCOIN INDIA WHATSAPP GROUP on: August 16, 2017, 11:29:17 AM
I wish to join this group to provide and gain updates of current ongoings about BTC in our country but I fear being spammed by scammers. Since the invite  link is public, expect lots of scammers to still join the group and spread malicious content. Given that someone will actually monitor for scammers and such, I will join the group and look for updates and happenings.
882  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: August 16, 2017, 09:45:33 AM
I am very much against the statement that money is above all things. You can find peace in your life without money yes, but surfing on the internet and knowing things, you would never agree on it. Have a look at the poor, they find peace with whatever they have. These people are actually deprived of many basic needs and still without any complaints, live a life that is more than just peaceful.
One more example I would put up here is there are lots of diseases in this world, we can literally say a new disease is born everyday and it takes a good amount of time to find a cure for it. Consider a rich person suffers from a new disease which has no cure. What is he going to do with all the money he has? It literally becomes all for nothing.
Another example would be, when the world will run out of resources like food, drinking water and fuel, even if you're a millionaire, even you won't have access to these needs and will suffer the same fate as a person without any money.
883  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is best Bitcoin mixer now that Bitmixer.io is gone? on: August 16, 2017, 09:39:11 AM
When Bitmixer closed, the owner made a thread where he urged other mixing sites to follow suite and close which was a alarming message while bowing out of business. Even after this, I've heard Chipmixer and Bitblender are doing a fine job at mixing Bitcoins and keeping them private. The fact that we don't know yet as to why Bitmixer's owner gave out such a statement before closing, making it seem a bit risky.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SKINCOIN - CRYPTOCURRENCY FOR eSPORTS INDUSTRY (ICO is OVER) on: August 16, 2017, 09:34:42 AM
http://Fights.club  Testing and stabilization will take about a week. The most active users will be rewarded by Skincoin.
                                                                  https://twitter.com/skincoin_org/status/897496859396243457

Finally some signs of progress, at least we can hold onto the coins and wait for more developments rather than panic selling the coins brought from the ICO.

I tried the site and it is very much lack luster with notifications popping up in Russian. The chat seems to be Russian as well and its making me scratch my head on how I can begin playing 1 v 1 games, some instructions or an FAQ page would be great.
885  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: August 16, 2017, 09:32:06 AM
I always stick to use online wallets so I've been using blockchain from 3 years and now. I also used to use inputs.io which was an excellent wallet back then until it got hacked and I lost around $100 in BTC due to the hack. Thankfully blockchain is the only online wallet I trust and use after that incident.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Casinos on: August 16, 2017, 07:57:01 AM
Bitcoin Cash is just being treated like any other altcoin and casinos will not be able to accept the coin unless it is completely stable and promises growth. Since everyone was in a hurry to dump the coin, it would've been a nightmare for any casino to add BCH as it would make it easier for users to dump them on their sites. It will still take some time for BCH to be actually a fully viable altcoin to be added to casinos while some of them have taken the bolder move of adding them already which is quite risky.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion on: August 16, 2017, 07:52:31 AM
Jon Snow is the legitimate heir to the Iron Throne and not Dany his aunt, Gilly was able to find that out but Sam Tarly was not listening

Was that the part where Gilly asked Sam what an annulment was?

I was thinking it could be evidence of 1/2 of Jon's parents leaving their former husband/wife & that there could be evidence of a secret marriage.

Jon touching the dragon seems to confirm he has Targaryen blood?

We already know that Jon is a Targaryen from the last season. Now the story is revealing that Jon is not a bastard but has more legal claim on the throne than Daenarys.

I remember from the last season that Tyrion also touched one of the dragons when he was unchaining them. So is he really also a Targaryen?

Lets say Jon's claim on the iron throne is much more firm than that of Daenarys's. Even after coming to this conclusion, it is very unlikely that Jon will ever sit on the throne as his sole purpose has always been something completely different. All of this leads to much more suspense on who will be the ultimate ruler to the seven kingdoms and everything will unfold soon.
888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any recommended amount or percentage of each coin you should hold? on: August 16, 2017, 07:34:54 AM
It all depends on what you see for a particular coin and time you deicde to hold it for. Personally, I don't make percentage statistics of my investments but rather stick to see what coin will do better and put it on the top of the list and the other coins follow suite. The coins with least potential and might drop in my eyes, will stick at the bottom while I decide to sell/hold on to it.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fun seeking gamblers vs profit seeking gamblers on: August 15, 2017, 02:55:23 PM
It seems to me that gambling is too risky. That's why I do not find it fun or profitable. Maybe it can be fun but only at first and only  for people who enjoy the risk. Also I dont believe in the profitability of gambling.

As for me it only becomes fun when I'm winning and beating the house . That's the only time gambling becomes profitable and fun at the same time else I'm all for the profits and no joking around with perceived fun.

It's quite hard to come by with that situation because it'll be the best case scenario for you, the winnings of which makes it 'fun'. As far as I can see, you're talking about casino, dicing etc and you barely find any fun in those sites as it's just plain win or lose. If you're money is on the line in a sport or game like basketball or LoL, you will find it much more thrilling and fun.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now a MILLIONAIRE because of NEO. on: August 15, 2017, 02:46:09 PM
If this is actually a legit screenshot, then you probably made a fortune that most of us would dream of. It was a good decision to invest into NEO earlier on as it was a very viable investment which will keep making you richer and richer. On the longer run, you're a winner as long as you have patience to hold on for longer.

892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading altcoin and holding bitcoin which one is more profitable? on: August 15, 2017, 10:31:47 AM
I have come to realize in recent time that holding bitcoin in ones wallet is more profitable and a little bit risk free as compared to trading altcoin or what do you think ?

By holding onto BTC, you're in the long term game which will require a lot of patience with your investment. On the other hand, if you trade altcoins for profit, it is profit but does involve the risk factor whole the first option is kind of risk free.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the number1 coin? Bitcoin or Etherium? on: August 15, 2017, 09:58:34 AM
What do you think will be the number1 coin?  Bitcoin or Etherium?

If I had to choose between the two, it would be Bitcoin. Even after the all questioned split, it is still proving to be a one of its kind by still rising after all the chaos. Ethereum has a lot of controversy surrounding itself so don't expect it to make it to the top.
894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why 1 BTC is becoming hard to owned??? on: August 15, 2017, 09:48:45 AM
Even back in the day when BTC was around 300-400$ it was very difficult to own Bitcoin in whole number denominations as there were lesser known exchanges and lesser ways of converting fiat into BTC. But these days, even with many exchanges and converting options available, it is still difficult to craft 1 BTC without actually investing real money as the prices continue to touch new heights almost everyday.

896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this for real? I could be a millionaire? on: August 09, 2017, 03:16:58 PM
Please forgive my cynicism.
I was offered bitcoins in I think 2010 when they were 50p each.
I was tempted to buy £200 worth but had been just lost £200 to a ponzi money scheme so decided against it!

I have seem recent reports saying they are now worth £2,500

Are these the same Bitcoins?
So would I be able to actually sell for cash or money in the bank?

Sorry to ask, but I see lots of people saying they are millionaires but don't think I have seen anyone with the actual money banked.

I mean, my 400 bitcoins would now be worth £1,000,000 and I could actually sell them for £1Million less commissions?

You gotta see I'm sceptical.
Please tell me I haven't made the biggest mistake of my life?

Yes this is the same Bitcoin that you refused to invest in. You might actually regret not investing in Bitcoin back in 2010 for the rest of your life because when it goes higher, you will see that you could've been more than a potential millionaire.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do I pay taxes when I sell an alt coin for bitcoin? on: August 09, 2017, 03:11:41 PM
Do I need to pay taxes if I sell an alt coin for bitcoin then rebuy a different alt coin. I never took out actual USD so I am unsure how that would work. Or am I only taxes on actual USD made when I cash out?

You just have to trade it on an exchange site and they might charge you a small fee, besides which the only other fees would be transaction fees while converting BTC to USD. In fact you should actually be paying taxes to your government which I don't exactly know how it reaches them.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For fork's sake! Bitcoin Core braces for another cryptocurrency split 21 August on: August 09, 2017, 02:15:20 PM
People can fork has much as they want, we surely appreciate the free money, that request just separates the networks, there's no need for them to be connected, it's a waste of resources.

This is literally my take on the situation of forks. Forks after forks and we keep getting more money to our balances. This is literally becoming a habit as mentioned above by someone else, which will clearly not help do anything but waste more resource.
899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: August 09, 2017, 12:52:13 PM
Altcoins are for those people who couldn't buy BTC back when it released and are now looking for a similar investment with a big return. Of course nothing will come close to Bitcoin but all the ICOs and altcoins are for those who wish to invest and trust in the project that they invest, wait for a period of time and expect a huge boom in the coin's sector and then sell it for multiple folds of their initial investment. Bitcoins on the other hand right now, if you do decide to invest in it, you should be ready to wait for a longer time to be able to make more profit compared to altcoin investments.
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When to leave the game? on: August 09, 2017, 12:47:22 PM
Because gambling is fun. We just sit and enjoy what's presented. Most gamblers fall asleep and forget the goal. Instead of wanting to gain profit or create balance increases, reality is actually greed that happens. Desire to win and win again.

Gambling is fun indeed, as long as you're on the winning side of your bet. Its pretty funny because we always expect the our bets to come out glorious while there is always a chance of losing it too.

I don't understand what you're saying by most gamblers falling asleep, whenever I've placed bets on matches, events etc, I am always up to watch it happen in front of my eyes and never let a moment slip by. The taste of victory on my bets is something crazy for me which always drives me to keep on going but I can't imagine someone sleeping at any point of time at all.
