I've heard great things about them spreading freedom in other countries. Finally they will be sent into US cities to spread some of that freedom.

They just need a suitably fanciful name for the op. Operation Peace and Cuddles? Operation Hugs and Kisses?

... can only be Operation Down-On-Your-Knees

Pentarudi/Masterluc newest Update:

"Trade closed: target reached: The target of local short-term triangle is above $11000. Which will trigger break of long term resistance line at around $10000. And this will trigger break of giant long term triangle with target well above all time high.

This is a start of long term bull run. It probably will take around 4 years. After that world will see 10 years of bearish activity.

masterluc's long term calls are worth considering ... bitcoin hasn't had a bull wave longer than ~2 years I don't think (besides the on-going 11 year secular bull), so a 4 year bull run would be something epic and worthy of examining how it might play out.

I think because we are in a time of extreme uncertainty (saecular crisis) a lot of the TA is v. undecided, swinging wildly and could go either way right now. BTC has already shown it can be effected by crisis moves on March 13. But the resolution of the crisis can mean major trends are established on the smallest of actions at this critical juncture in time.

I can imagine a 4 year bull scenario where btc grinds higher being fought all the way by the banksters/institutions using fiat future/derivatives games on CME and Bakkt and so not really blowing off until 2024 around the $300k range of PlanB's S2Fx model top for this cycle.

The 10 year bear call is also intriguing ...

- President threatens to set US Army against The People
- US$ is tanking
- bitcoin pops (fakeout until you make it out)

There wont be good outcomes if Police brutality is replaced with Military lethality. They've been spied on, lied to, shat on, ripped off for too long. The ruling two party elitist duopoly has been too effective at stifling righteous peaceful dissent and reform, now violence is the only remaining option. Military is not the solution, except for small minds and brutes. In fact it's part of the reason things have got so terrible as for the militarized police. Military in the streets will only encourage more virulent resistance from the armed portion of the populace. In those scenarios, eventually the military in a bid for peace usually turns on the ruling elite, or simply rule themselves.
886  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 31, 2020, 11:43:31 PM
.... the instinctive reaction for the US authorities to put the military on the streets show this has a long way to go. The State is doubling-down on the State-sanctioned violence and oppression that has precipitated and inflamed the crisis, instead of seeking urgent and lasting resolutions inside their own agencies of the State where the problems clearly lie. The parallels with the bungling public health response to the pandemic inside public health state agencies is not coincidental but symptomatic of broad institutional decay and dysfunction.

It wont end until the whole of the militarized apparatus of State oppression is dismantled and scrapped now. The military should only ever be retained for defending against external threats, never turned upon the people who pay their wages, that's the final turn of the vicious spiral into anarchic civil war (suspension of habeas corpus). Police were only ever meant to be Officers of the Peace, never Law Enforcement. After total War the military hands over control of the streets to Officers of the Peace; militarisation of the police and putting military on the streets is naturally escalating society back to wartime conditions.

None of this is unexpected, it has been happening gradually in clear sight for those willing to see, only now it has accelerated to the point when it is plain for all to see. Effectively, USA is already in the early stages of a state of civil war.

Sounds alot like saying those with underlying problems will die from Corona so its not the superflu its just your underlying condition, easy diagnosis.

... isn't it even worse that George Floyd was having a heart attack and the cops were kneeling all over him, and on his neck, instead of rendering assistance unlike psychopathic inhuman beasts, than if they simply executed him by asphyxiation from kneeling on his neck?
888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 30, 2020, 06:24:32 PM
I see a country descending into open rebellion against its oppressive, unjust, inequitable Police State.

There is no greater symbolism of the endless systemic oppression than an agent of the state kneeling on the neck of a totally incapacitated dying man in the street.

I don't see this uprising ending until vast swathes of the dystopian police state apparatus, ideology and funding empires are dismantled and dumped in the dustbin of history. For over 50 years they have resisted all attempts to be reformed peacefully so they will only go violently.

The people have finally woken up and The People always get the final say in matters of the nature of the state. Look it up, it's in the Declaration of Independence. There's 40 million recently unemployed Americans and probably tens of millions more disaffected enough to take to the streets. At most the US armed state agencies could rally perhaps a few million. In the end its just math.

Ultimately its about freedom.

Man, I had better never have 15 bitcoins on me in an airport. Government will just seize it like cash....

https://www.washingtonpost.com/travel/2020/05/28/man-missed-his-flight-logan-airport-then-authorities-discovered-138980-cash-his-bag

Oh wait, I forgot, it's *my* bitcoin, not the government's money. They want the key they can torture me for it.

Note: It is possible this was an international flight where you do have to declare >10k for customs purposes. But still this does not sound like a job for TSA....

in the past I have seen posts where people discussed the need to declare value if bitcoin you carry too.

Still, it's unclear whenever we cross-border, if we have bitcoin that needs to be declared. Because even if it's not a hardware wallet, I control my bitcoin through phone or basic internet. Similarly, I control fiat also through my phone in bank accounts or credit/debit cards of multiple countries.

So I don't think Bitcoin needs to be declared when you cross the boarder.

I would argue this is the case also. Since the bitcoins reside on the blockchain of which a copy is kept in nearly every country in the world so technically all bitcoins in existence have crossed all (most?) the borders already. Or put simply, bitcoin blockchains exist in all countries with full bitcoin nodes simultaneously already so all bitcoins exist in all countries with bitcoin full nodes already and technically do not cross borders, but blockchain updates do every block.

The keys crossing borders is neither here nor there since they can be sent electronically or as a word sequence in an email for example. Private keys only confer the right to transfer coins on the blockchain and are not the asset in and of themselves, but more like banking login credentials/authentication/passwords.

grudging respect for that old bird and her hired goons, moreso if the Kiwis agree with her actions. btw did she ever get any of their guns off them? (answer cmiiw is 'a few')

... it's not all smiley, sweet and light in NZ and the 'world' only gets the view that the global progressive media choose to portray.

She has totally trashed the NZ economy to achieve it with a ridiculously harsh lockdown for over 6 weeks and doled out 20% of GDP on no-questions-asked payments to her voting bloc (twice as much corona-chan rescue spending per capita GDP as other countries), in an election year. NZ govt. debt levels have skyrocketed and now set back ~30 years of frugality in less than 3 months. It's has been an orgy of gubmint spending for people to basically sit on the couch. GDP is expectd to contract by ~20-30% for the affected quarter.

It's all about context. We are in the midst of a pandemic situation and on-going financial/generational crisis since 2007. This is the culmination phase of the 4th turning in the multi-decade generational cycle. Context is along a 4th turning theme going all the way back to 1960's, civil unrest for black emancipation began with boomer coming of age in the mid 1960's, Martin Luther King, then Rodney King and now recent 'black lives matters' incidents happening with increasing frequency and intensity 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 against cop killings. This could be the spark that brings this theme for change to a head, violently if necessary. Repeated callous, needless, authoritarian cop killing of 'presumed innocents' needs to be addressed at the institutional level that has failed for over 50 years to effect the needed change .... changes like these only happens on dark and stormy nights in a time of crisis. The generational time of crisis is here and now, fully blown. Given the volatile atmosphere, mandatory masked protesters, unemployment levels and cop over-reach from 3 months of lock downs, it's really bad timing with the practicalities on the ground also.

Historically pandemics often give rise to crisis and violent insurrection, usually targetting the extremes of wealth inequality, access to justice, access to resources, etc, that the golden times have fostered. Read The 4th Turning, stay informed, effects of Winter will not be denied, 10 more years to run.

AIDSflu .... confirmed

SARS-CoV-2 has characteristics of HIV virus ... probably lead to chronic infections (long term), immunocompromised outcomes and difficulty rallying immune system for vaccination strategies.

https://www.scmp.com/news/china/science/article/3086177/coronavirus-uses-same-strategy-hiv-dodge-immune-response-chinese

Quote
The novel coronavirus uses the same strategy to evade attack from the human immune system as HIV, according to a new study by Chinese scientists.

Both viruses remove marker molecules on the surface of an infected cell that are used by the immune system to identify invaders, the researchers said in a non-peer reviewed paper posted on preprint website bioRxiv.org on Sunday. They warned that this commonality could mean Sars-CoV-2, the clinical name for the virus, could be around for some time, like HIV.

Bringing those 700-1bil people onboard is hard enough without them exploring cheap alts and getting busted/frustrated and dropping out.
Of course, exchanges are promoting this to no end as they are making money in all those sloshing alts.
The adopting process is also slow as heck. Where is the famous hockey stick?

...'adoption' in a monetary good supposedly means that the people holding the majority of existing/legacy monetary goods adopts the new monetary good ... NOT that the majority of people adopt the new monetary good. Small but subtle distinction. With the extremes of wealth inequality we are living with in today's societies it means that only relatively few people/holders need to adopt the new monetary good, bitcoin in this case, to achieve 'adoption'. Most of today's fiat wealth is held by less than 0.1% of the population, getting large percentages of the population to adopt bitcoin, while idealistic, fantastical and awesome if it happened, would not cause bitcoin to be come 'widely adopted'.  Bitcoin adoption doesn't need 700m-1 bill people, just a few thousand from a select group.

tl;dr Bitcoin adoption necessarily should be measured in numbers of dollars/euros/yen/fiat/wealth adopted not numbers of people.

Two separate studies pointing to similar conclusion. Virus was well-adapted to humans and genetically stable at time of first known cases.

(tl;dr: highly unlikely it jumped species in a wet market, likely bred in human cell cultures in a lab)

Just popped in to tell you that I'm slowly getting my sense of smell back, never lost taste, but everything tasted bland and insipid.
Had a big mac today and it tasted good (don't worry, I used the drive through).

Watch carefully, some of the severe cases are when the patient appears to be recovering and then relapses quite suddenly (within 12-24 hrs).

The return of appetite and heavy sleep are really good signs you maybe past the worst though. Keep fluid intake well up, need to flush the debris from the infection out.

Also here's a recent medical treatment schedule that might be helpful but you're well advanced so maybe better for others in their early days. Basically vit. C zinc and vit. D3 and quercetin if you can get hold of it (all should be non-perscription). Curcumin is probably useful too as it has blood thinning and anti-inflammatory effects.

Here's another but meds are likely prescription-only and likely hospitalised cases.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/05/14/france-spain-say-large-scale-testing-coronavirus-shows-no-herd/

Quote
No more than five per cent of the population of France and Spain - two of the countries hardest-hit by the coronavirus - have contracted the disease, say two new studies in a major blow to hopes of “herd immunity”.

A mere 4.4 per cent of the French population - or 2.8 million people - have been infected, according to findings of the Pasteur Institue published in the journal Science .

Such figures are considerably higher than the official count of cases but way too low to effectively stop the spread of the virus through group immunity.

"Around 65 per cent of the population should be immune if we want to control the pandemic by the sole means of immunity", it said.

... so back-of-envelope for the Flu-Bros ... only 13x more people needed to catch it (and 13x more people die supposedly) until "herd immunity" ... France current death toll ~30k x13 ~~ 390k total .. for example, without better therapies (which exist but are currently being denied by establishment Vaxx-bros), other interventions, etc.

Those who funded, transported, researched, supplied, and managed all the above know the precedent set after WWII. They ALL hung with the butchers.

All the states got extra snoopy when we were locked in, started using zoom and generally mucking about more on home pc's and mobiles. Most of the geeks are at home not on site. Expect a big nation-state cyberattack in the next few months. If only to keep the theme of "wtf 2020?" going. Would be sad if the pos terminals in supermarkets failed for a few days. Or large swathes of the West lost power for a while.

Surely a large meteorite strike, Yellowstone eruption event, ozone layer hole and New Coke are all on the menu for the second half of 2020?

... Pacific Rim 'ring of fire' is especially active tectonically right now, particularly around N. american west coast all the way up into Alaska.

The Cascadia subduction zone and San Andreas faultlines are overdue for some major moves so if I was an earthquake betting guy my money would be going there. A major move of the LA basin is expected to drop the area 3 feet below sea level, after levelling most structures with a magnitude 8+ shake.
Cascadia subduction fault has potential for magnitude 9+ type rolling wave shake as seen in Japan that caused gigantic tsunami and fukushima disaster. This create major issues for Puget Sound region and pacific northwest coastal regions and british columbia.
