Only 7 btc to 3000 now  More then half is to 500, someone is keeping price down to get cheaper coins. This is what I think. We have more than 400% in 4 weeks... what'd you expect? Pumping to 3000 is easy, but it will crash back just as easy after that. The same problem is downward (on bittrex), 8 BTC until 400 sat, but after that it's a free fall. That's a risk for guldencoin if more merchants start accepting guldencoin (and it has to be put on the market again to convert to euro's). I wouldn't mind if it would stay in the 300 - 400 range for a few more weeks, to give me time to build up some support in that range. |

@BioMike The seeds are still spread over several locations with different hosting providers. Today was an example of why this is a good practice.

The seeds with degraded performance have been migrated. Thanks to Hilmar for doing most of the work! The network is 100% online again. We're also updating other seeds to new guldencoind versions. https://seeds.guldencoin.comNice work dev team. Any idea what caused the performance problems? Probably the hosting provider having trouble... We had our doubts with this particular provider already. So when suddenly exactly the three seeds hosted with them started being unresponsive, the decision was quite simple. The seeds are still spread over several locations with different hosting providers. Today was an example of why this is a good practice. Wouldn't it be better to split it over multiple hosting providers (maybe in different countries)? |

Other alt coin prices have been dropping over 300% from a month ago. Blackcoin which is considered one of the better ones has gone from just under 30 000 to under 10 000. Same with many other alts atm. Litecoin down to USD 5.7 from 8 2 weeks ago. For the most part NLG has been very stable. When things turn around later this year it's going to be interesting times!
The fact our hash rate has gone up when NLG price has dropped slightly, shows how bad other coins are doing.
Since I have some bleutrade shares I've been looking into the other coins that are listed on that exchange. No wonder those coins are doing bad. They have NO added value over the fact that you can collect them. This week the following coins were added: * CzechCrownCoin * Darkfox * eUtopium * HoboNickels * KeyCoin * Monacoin * OrbitCoin * SonicScrewdriver I checked the websites/ANN posts of most of them. They list the specs and their fancy name and that's it. No value, info on innovation or niche that it fills, or whatsoever. The funny thing is to read the trollbox, people saying how great an investment *coin is (hoping to pump and dump the coin). These people don't spend money on those coins (get them by trading or so) and people why buy coins, don't buy those. As a result the market "value" drops. I mostly put them on the market for NLG. |

I think I'm going to point my ASIC towards GuldenCoin as soon as I've got it. However, it looks like it may take some time.. (-> Fibonacci).
At that time, please use one of the smaller mining pools. This way we can track the hash distribution better and react when there is an attack on the network. |

Large part of the hashing power is not covered by pools. I also saw some attempts to double spend coming by this morning in the guldencoind logs (not sure if they were successful). How can I mine the coin, I currently have a AMD R9 280x Gigabyte. Any help would be great. thanks

Conclusion:
I doubt GND is aiming to attack the coin, this miner has been in the network for a long time and if he/she wanted to perform a 51% attack he/she could have already done so already.
GND is probably dumping coins on the market now and then, but that could be explained because those MH/s don't pay for themselves (ah well, indirectly they do)..
Having said that, it would indeed be better for the network to have a evenly divided hashrate. This will take time, as more miners join the network.
For now I don't see a lot of things we can do. KGW is doing it's work nicely, taking the MH/s waves as they come and go.
The NDA address is the Hardcoreminers pool (the awards in the block chain to the NDA address are the ones that Hardcoreminers reports to have found). That pool is doing 0.7GHs/s atm, with one user doing 0.5GHs/s. |

Working on a warning/alarm system, but got a bit too little amount of time atm. I started trying out cloud mining (currently adding 60MHs to the network), as a response method to an attack. I also have something else, that feeds back into the guldencoin market. This is not generating much income yet, but I hope it will in the future (no more details on that).
So, things are being done, it just takes time.
