on the topic of pools, hashrate, and security of the blockchain, docs.guldencoin.com lists the following pools under 'the coin' -> 'mining':

http://nlg.criptoe.com
https://nlg.hardcoreminers.com
http://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100
http://pool.mycryptoco.in
http://dutchpool.org:8000
http://dutchpool.org:27100/static

I tried to go to each one and get the current hashrate.. got the following..

HASH:   url
---------------------------
025MH/s:  http://nlg.criptoe.com (invalid url? criptoe.com works)
234MH/s:  https://nlg.hardcoreminers.com
000MH/s:  http://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100 (stratum still alive?)
000MH/s:  http://pool.mycryptoco.in
013MH/s:  http://dutchpool.org:8000 (invalid url? dutchpool.org works)
???MH/s:  http://dutchpool.org:27100/static (invalid url? different than above?)

272MH/s: total hash from above

According to seeds.guldencoin.com, the net hash rate is over 800 MH/s.  so I assume the rest of the hashing power is coming from individuals or groups running private pools?  I remember a while back someone ran some queries against the blockchain to see what addresses the newly generated coins were going to.

PS: maybe we need to clean up this info on docs.guldencoin.com?  I think the urls on post 1 of this ANN is more accurate.

PPS: last thing - the navigation links on guldencoin.com are in dutch.. IE: Overzicht, Versturen on https://guldencoin.com/receive didn't know if that was intentional to subliminally teach us dutch or an oversight.  Smiley

..

http://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100 is accepting shares and running on the latest wallet (v1.1.7.0). It's been about three weeks though since anyone came along to mine  Cry By the way, I'm using Spekske's p2pool source from https://github.com/Spekske/p2pool-rav except with BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS set to gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl since Spekse's p2pool server is no longer running. I hope to put it up on my github later this week so that it's easier for others to set up p2pool nodes - p2pool can use a little push Wink

p2p.0x0a.nl for all your Cryptographic Anomaly, Cypherfunks, FryCoin, GameCredits, Gulden, PenguinCoin, and TittieCoin p2pool nodes! Err.. I mean needs! .. Both.

NLG.CripToe.Com is closed down, and is now just a port on the CripToe.Com NOMP pool.  I've been watching the hashrate of the pools a lot lately.  Not too happy about seeing 200+MH on hardcoreminers constantly when there are other pools that don't have a single user.  I've made a few posts about this in the past.  While the majority of the hashrate is from unknown sources, it would be better to keep the known hashrate evened out.

Spread the hash and keep the network healthy.

I tried pointing my gridseeds at your server but it's not working for me.. thus the comment 'stratum still alive?'.  I use cgminer 3.7.2 (nicehash built binary) on linux.  your entry in my config file is as follows:

"pools" : [
        {
                "url" : "stratum+tcp://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100",
                "user" : "GXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX",
                "pass" : "X"
        }
]

when I look at the entry for this pool in pool management I get the following:

4: Enabled Dead Quota 1 Prio 4: stratum+tcp://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100  User:GXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

When turning on verbose display I see the following:

[2014-07-29 22:28:35] Testing pool stratum+tcp://gulden.p2p.0x0a.nl:27100
 [2014-07-29 22:28:36] Pool 4 difficulty changed to 0.040756
 [2014-07-29 22:28:36] Pool 4 JSON stratum auth failed: {
   "message": "Service not found",
   "data": null,
   "code": -32601
}

maybe old version of cgminer is the problem?..  I usually mine at hardcoreminers which works fine.

switched my miners over to criptoe.com.  working fine.  Will keep them pointed here to spread the hash.  To be honest what attracted me to hardcoreminers is not the hashrate but the user interface that comes along with MPOS.  I can see earnings over last hour/day/week/etc., personal hourly hashrate graphs over the past 24 hours, transaction log, I can check up on things via an mpos android app, etc..

on the plus side for criptoe I do like the simplicity of the interface (no login required) and snappiness.

I will not badmouth HardCoreMiners... they run a great pool network.

I will badmouth MPOS though.  I agree that MPOS has a better interface than NOMP.  I'll tell you this though... after a year of running pools, mmcFE in the beginning and then MPOS(and now NOMP), I can tell you that I would hands down choose NOMP over MPOS any day.  I know the interface and reporting is better in MPOS, but NOMP is so much more secure and well thought out.  I've been on MPOS for a very long time.  I've watched that dev team jack stuff up, try to fix it, jack it up more, and then program something else all together when they couldn't figure it out.  And it seems that with every update they break even more.  I just got tired of worrying about updating, and what would break if I do.

That being said... don't take that as a hit against HardCoreMiners.  They have their ducks in a row.  And don't take that as a plea to mine on my pool.  I'm not running pools to make a million bitcoin.  I just like running pools for coins I support.  I appreciate the mining support, but I never want to be accused of stealing miners from another pool.

Just mine responsibly lol.  Smiley

What is the meaning of the word  GULDEN ?
Gulden is Dutch for "golden" the origin lies in the medival when the "gouden florijn" (gold florin) was introduced. The coins were officialy called florijnen (florins) but because gold was used for the coin the people called it a gulden (golden). The sign was fl and not G however in the international trade the fiat guilder was abreviated as NLG. This is also the abreviation of the current guldencoin.

Oh dear. I've tested with cudaminer and cpuminer which works fine but cgminer should work as well. You could use http instead of stratum+tcp but of course stratum is better. I'll look into it tonight.
