Ethereum with a weakest base started to compete bitcoin, but failed, I suggested some of my friends in the beginning, when they were trying to buy some ethereum, that do not waste your time and money at there, we should have to concentrate on bitcoin alone, in that case we can earn only with bitcoin also.
and today they are much happy with me.
I never thought the Etheruem could compete with bitcoin. They are aiming for the different market sector, one is currency, the other is fuel. |

Sell some before halving and hold some for after halving
who knows halving? can be up but can be down too

Its definetly buy-time regarding long term investements.
But regarding short term it might be lucrative to wait 1 or 2 weeks until it dropped again a bit.
It is very difficult to decide if I need to buy now or wait a little longer. When the price was $450, that was the best buy time. |

For now I will suggest to keep holding our Bitoins.. did you see the price is gradually increase, slow but its increasing.
And anytime it can jump fast so just keep watching on bitstamp to know the flunctuate, for no we have running price of $600 per bitcoins nearly to $700...
I hold most of my coins at the moment. As a miner, I have to use some coins to pay for my mining cost. |

Look at the state of the OP  This is why you should never make trolling, outlandish threads predicting the demise of bitcoin, it usually comes back to bite you on the ass. I am long term holder. So when the people sell their coins because of the thread like this, I am very thankful. |

The demand now is real though. Who is to say that the BTC price settles at the halving? I think that is when she starts moving as the miner supply is cut in half. With Brexit, China inflating things, etc. I think BTC (and ETH) are just getting moving. Casmatesid - No argument from me.  There are many existing bitcoins. If you want the price to double for the new coins, the price of old coins will also double. So the price rise is not only due to the block halving. There are other factors. Guys this post is from December haha it's not talking about this rally. With this rally we're still very strong. Just wait and see how high Bitcoin will go Well ill wait and see how this rally will go. Ill just sell when I think the time is right and at it's peak. Exactly, it's been a while since I created this post, funny how this thread is still a thing. But I believe it still counts what I said, this actual pump is over too I guess. Isn't it still too far from halving to say that the pump is over? The bitcoin block halving is not very far away. Let hope the pump is not over and the bitcoin market price reaches $1000. just a few weeks towards halving, I do not think it is capable of reaching $1,000 quickly. it may take several months after halving I do not think the bitcoin price will reach $1000 in the next 3 months. It will rise too fast if it can achieve that. |

Still feels like buy time to me. We're rallying and holding for weeks and ws have weeks to go too. This steam boat won't stop until halving.
I do not think its the right time right now because the bitcoin is now pretty high and if you buy it now the profit will not be very huge with the halving. I think buying right now will let you gain profit but it will be minimal. The bitcoin still has a lot to rise in the long term. Its price could be $2000 in 12 months, so the current price is not high. |

As you can see now you see that the value of Bitcoin is now rising and it is already over the 400 so that is nice for people who is waiting for the moment to sell it.
But of course it is really nice that you are going to hold it now because the halving is also coming soon and that is nice.
I will hold the bitcoin no matter the price. I think I will give a time scale of 10 years. I should be rewarded then. the same for me, to be honest im never planning to sell bitcoins at least not right now when there is a big chance that bitcoin price will keep on going significantly up thus allowing me to earn i hope that the price of near 700 dollars will hold and after that i hope that bitcoin price will start going up really fast thus allowing all the investors to earn some money out of bitcoins I will do the same. I keep the bitcoin for the long term. The current price of $750 is not attractive at all. |

The OP was created in December last year. So it is reasonable to say hold at $300. We should say hold 500 now. I think the bitcoin price will hold the $500 pretty. It is quite stable now. After a few months, the price will be $800. The bitcoin price is happily above $575 at the moment. It dropped to $560 a few days ago, but bounced. The price is $700 now, that is just 2 days apart. What is going on with the bitcoin price? It is very strange. I think it is the effect of halving. The price could double to $1000 after the halving. Then it will rise further. |

Just like ten days ago I posted this thread and the price was 540$.  yeah, the price is not stopping going up right now and i hope we will reach a new all time high hopefully my predictions are correct and i will make some more money out of it A new 27 months high is in sight. But I hope we can reach that 3 months later, not next week. The price needs a rest. |

Since the price is gradually pumping up the price will fix around 800-900$ on this September. About your speculation i think the price not going down until next year.Maybe it will happen randomly on the year 2017. I think it is possible for the price to be around $800 in September. Then the price will be $1000 by year end. if the price keeps increasing at current rates, then we might even hit $800 before the block halving. the price is really going crazy now. i did not expect another part of the rally to happen untill we reach july. it's just another pleasant surprise from bitcoin. A very good surprise, but i am confident many of us expected bitcoin to come up again. And not to 650 but to a far larger level. For this to happen we need more then a halving I think. New investors, big firms from the financial markets etc. For them a 10 billion market cap is nothing. But seeing big firms trusting bitcoin will bring trust. Maybe enough for them to step in. We have the block size increase later this year, that shall at least double the price if not triple the price. |

I think ethereum is not a bubble, because the volume of ethereum is big. If it is just bubble the volume is not too big like this. But it is just my opinion. Always there are risk on Investment.
exactly the opposite is true. one of the indications of a bubble is the huge trade volume which has gone up suddenly. and this is true about ethereum. the volume suddenly rose up to a big amount out of nowhere and this is because of the pump, a pump shoves the price up and others will join in (more volume) then the price goes higher and the pumpers pump it more (more volume) then other newbies join in on top (more volume) and then the dump begins (much more volume) We shall know if the Etheruem is a bubble in a few more months. If it is a bubble, it will burst in 6 months. |

I think it is not time to discuss if the "400 will not hold", we should discuss "600 will not hold" at present.
That is right. The price is more than $600 now. It is around $640. If the price can hold here, it is very good omen. The price is $675 at the moment. That was a drop of $50 after the recent peak of $725. I think the correction is necessary. |

as the price starts to rise up again, people will be more likely hopeful and start creating these kinds of topics and speculating high prices again, just like the last big rise which lead to the same thing and everybody was saying bitcoin price will be $10,000 soon after this $1100 but i am sure that price is never going to be reached and even after mass adoption we will reach 4to5 K
When there are people using the bitcoin, the price will rise faster than we expect. I think $10,000 could be reached in 3 to 5 years. |
