Why bitcoin isn't going to die? Because many persons have invested millions and the darkweb is more vivid than ever nowadays with dark markets popping out almost everyday, number of BTC transactions there is increasing everyday, so no Bitcoin isn't going to die in at least 10-20 years but for me it will never die.

My electricity is too high. If the difficulty rises another 50%, there will be no profit at all. So I will not expand.
The difficulty of the Ethereum has dropped a bit in the last few days. I think it will be more profitable to mine now. Yeah difficulty doubled in like 3 months and it goes down 5 % and everyone is saying its profitable again. That is because Ethereum miner moved to mine the Monero. When the price of Monero drops, miners will move back and it become less profitable again. |

I am actually about to quit my day-job to work full time "on bitcoin". It is very exciting, however I will be soon working strictly for bitcoins with my employment. This should be a very interesting chapter in my life and I am excited to start working for a dedicated, serious bitcoin company.
I had the thoughts before. But I found that there is no full time job for me to do the crypto currency. So I just buy the bitcoin instead. |

Give it about 3 months more and see how the price moves. The Ethereum foundation is running out of money and they have no choice but to sell their premine of ETH. Wait for this moment. It is better to use the RX 470 to mine the Ethereum. The price is lower than the 480 and has similar mining performance. I heard that Eliovp has modified the RX 480 BIOS and can mine the Ethereum at over 31 MH/s. But he has not made one for 470 yet. Some people has made some BIOS mod for the 470. It seems the 470 can achieve similar results as the 480. there are modes for the 480x also which will give you more hashes if care fully done. the price difference matters after an extend!!! Do you mean if both are mod to the maximum, the RX 480 is still better than the 470? Is it just me, or does anybody else feel that ethereums price is largely the result of manipulation?
After the reality check of the risks of how dumb (as in complicated switch dumb) a smart contract is, the price should be way lower than during the skynet and worlds biggest supercomputer hype. The ethereum price during the comedy caper act of white hackers and such, looked completely unnatural. Even the current price doesn't seem to reflect the realization of the risks and limitations of ethereum.
Also the transition from code is law to a permissioned/censored system with a fork should have had some influence on the market, or is that just me being delusional in thinking a fundamental change in philosophy is a kinda big deal, maybe even an existential one?
it might be, ethereum is really high at the moment while the real eth, etc is going down and down, i think we might expect a big pump in etc soon There is possibility that the ETC will be pumped a lot in the next few days before the final dump happens duce to the dump of big holders. The price has risen over 100% in the last year, it will continue rising. i hope that it will keep on growing in the future, bitcoins will definitely grow over time because more companies more countries and more people will be accepting it There are few companies in my countries accepting bitcoin than before. Miners are mainly mining the Ethereum as that one has the biggest market cap and there are more buying. The combined Ethereum has over 4500 GH/s. That is a huge amount of hashing. Hundreds of million are involved. The combined Ethereum has over 4850 GH/s. So that is an all time high. I do not under why miners invested so much. There are several reasons. One is that the miners are very confident the the Etherum price will rise, and they have very cheap electricity price. My electricity is too high. Can I ask a dumb question? is it possible that ETC and ETH will both just continue to do well and climb steadily, or does one have to eventually win and be the only remaining coin, cause based just on how much this coin is being talked about everywhere, I think its got some life left.

my prediction is that bitcoin is going to keep on growing and it will make me some good money
We all want to see bitcoin keep growing but now this time is not good for bitcoin's price because price is down or dropped from 780$ to 580$ so it will take a little bit time to reach again 800$+ . We should invest bitcoin so the price will reach higher amount, so keep investing your coins in bitcoin. We get back that price again at $750-800 then we are all good.  Just keep waving to that price profit from it and have some rest in a vacation trip. Of course my prediction is it will always go up. But some circumstances could let it fall and it is happening almost regularly also. That hurts. As bitcoin's price progress up regularly then also the bad incidents. They say it is Yin and Yang. But I am not Chinese. I believe the bitcoin price could reach $800 in three to four months. If the block size is increase, the price could be higher. I think so. If there is no further bad news, the bitcoin price could be $1200 in the next 6 to 12 months. |

Eth is not a bubble. But the ETC, Ethereum Classic is a bubble at the moment. It is better to sell it to the buyer. The ETC price is dropping at the moment. ETH exchange rate currently is not bad, on the past day there were many ups and downs but if we zoomout the chart we can see that it still worth to buy ethereum and probably sell later, I'm thinking to buy some and hold them for a week as I hope I can make profit. From the current price trend and words from the developers, it is better to keep some ETH now. The mining profitability of the ETC is higher than the ETH. So it is better to mine the ETC and sell for ETH. I notice the hashing rate of the ETC changes according to the price, if the price is high, there are more hashes. That is because the miners are switching between the ETH and ETC. They will mine the more profitable one. |
