Secured but not the best strategy so far, Secure because you'll surely get a profit with wether it will still increase or not. Not the best cause some articles shown that bitcoin will pump it's price until halving event. I think the price of the bitcoin will keep on rising after the halving event. In the longer term, the mass adoption is the key. When more people use the bitcoin, the bitcoin price will rise. That is similar to the facebook. The more user, the higher the price. |

The Ethereum has a DAO crisis now. If it was a week ago, I would say it is time to buy. But it is difficult to decide now.
It is better to wait for a few months to see the problem settles. If there is still hope for Ethereum, it is better to buy. The Ethereum price is rising at the moment. Maybe there is good news about the solution of the DAO theft. |

I don't know if its going to pop or not, but the truth is that I was hoping that the price was preparing to go way down. Instead the contrary happened. Now people are saying that it will still rise even further, but I'm guessing it could crach any minute now
Eth is going to fork to take money from the 'attacker', that will be the end of trusting eth. I will support the fork if the thief does not give back the money. I think he will be sent to jail if he reveal himself. There is an argument about if that is a theft or not. According to certain people stealing by exploit a hole in a contract is not a stealing. To me, stealing against in the intention of the property owner is stealing. But the law in the US might state differently. |

I don't think next halving will show us that higher price, I think it will take more then 5 years to achieve that price and that also if we see mass adoption. Next halving is 4 years away in 2020. I think the price will be around $10,000 after the next halving, could be even higher. |

The most used way that people are using to get Bitcoin is that they are having a signature campaign and that is really nice of course because it dont cost them any money so that is really nice for themselves.
The only thing that they have just to do is selling on the right moment when the value will be high and yeah it can takes a long time when it will reach a high value.
It depends on what is your definition of higher value, for me $1k is higher at this stage and for rest the highest value would be different, so if it reaches to $1k I would prefer to sell my coins. I would surely sell mine if it reaches $1k. But I doubt it would happen anytime sooner. if Sunday could reach $ 800, it means that every week the price rise $100, so the next two weeks I think we are very likely to reach $1000 when close to halving. I am glad the price did not reach $800. If it did, then a bubble is forming. That is not good for the long term price. I think the stable price could attract more investors, when they start buying the bitcoin, the price will rise gradually. |

We are already over that value and that is really nice the only thing that we just have to do is just sell it on the right moment and that is all because the price of Bitcoin is now rising at the moment so that is perfect for people who already have Bitcoin.
And of course it is hard to know what is going to happen later with Bitcoin but the halving is also coming soon to us.
It's not that difficult. You just have to make sure you unload some of your coins before the block halving takes place. That's it. If you so wish you can use the dump after the block halving in your advantage to buy back your coins. Plenty of opportunities, make sure you use them. Everyone is expecting to sell some after the halving and buy back lower. So that won't work in all likelihood and the price will crash before the Halving or not at all. I think the price will keep on rising after the halving. That was what happened after the last halving in 2012. |

Hold on, if we hardfork and you can redeem DAO tokens for ETH at 100:1 again, wouldnt be a good idea to buy a bunch of DAO right now when the price is VERY low and redeem it for ETH afterwards for crazy profits?
Nope there was no proof or burn here , as those tokens are holding back ETH from hitting up the market. Once those ETH are release a certain amount of Eth users will sell out to btc or fiat out of fear of further capitulation and uncertainty. Price is likely to continue Dropping. whether you should short or not is another matter. If you already have the Ethereum, you can buy the DAO at 50% discount and make 100% profit when converting back. |

Ethereum with a weakest base started to compete bitcoin, but failed, I suggested some of my friends in the beginning, when they were trying to buy some ethereum, that do not waste your time and money at there, we should have to concentrate on bitcoin alone, in that case we can earn only with bitcoin also.

I never thought the Etheruem could compete with bitcoin. They are aiming for the different market sector, one is currency, the other is fuel. |

Its definetly buy-time regarding long term investements.
But regarding short term it might be lucrative to wait 1 or 2 weeks until it dropped again a bit.
It is very difficult to decide if I need to buy now or wait a little longer. When the price was $450, that was the best buy time. |

For now I will suggest to keep holding our Bitoins.. did you see the price is gradually increase, slow but its increasing.
And anytime it can jump fast so just keep watching on bitstamp to know the flunctuate, for no we have running price of $600 per bitcoins nearly to $700...
I hold most of my coins at the moment. As a miner, I have to use some coins to pay for my mining cost. |

Look at the state of the OP  This is why you should never make trolling, outlandish threads predicting the demise of bitcoin, it usually comes back to bite you on the ass. I am long term holder. So when the people sell their coins because of the thread like this, I am very thankful. |

Once BTC price settles at halving, we see the real price of ETH
The demand now is real though. Who is to say that the BTC price settles at the halving? I think that is when she starts moving as the miner supply is cut in half. With Brexit, China inflating things, etc. I think BTC (and ETH) are just getting moving. Casmatesid - No argument from me.  There are many existing bitcoins. If you want the price to double for the new coins, the price of old coins will also double. So the price rise is not only due to the block halving. There are other factors. Guys this post is from December haha it's not talking about this rally. With this rally we're still very strong. Just wait and see how high Bitcoin will go Well ill wait and see how this rally will go. Ill just sell when I think the time is right and at it's peak. Exactly, it's been a while since I created this post, funny how this thread is still a thing. But I believe it still counts what I said, this actual pump is over too I guess. Isn't it still too far from halving to say that the pump is over? The bitcoin block halving is not very far away. Let hope the pump is not over and the bitcoin market price reaches $1000. just a few weeks towards halving, I do not think it is capable of reaching $1,000 quickly. it may take several months after halving I do not think the bitcoin price will reach $1000 in the next 3 months. It will rise too fast if it can achieve that. |

Still feels like buy time to me. We're rallying and holding for weeks and ws have weeks to go too. This steam boat won't stop until halving.
I do not think its the right time right now because the bitcoin is now pretty high and if you buy it now the profit will not be very huge with the halving. I think buying right now will let you gain profit but it will be minimal. The bitcoin still has a lot to rise in the long term. Its price could be $2000 in 12 months, so the current price is not high. |
