901  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: October 19, 2022, 08:51:49 AM

This day was foreseeable ever since the 90's where they disarmed you and you guys celebrated that event. Today Ukraine has to beg for missiles with a range higher than 300 km.

Umm did you just justify Russian invasion of Ukraine? LOL
Russia is saying the exact same thing for what they are doing: "NATO has been expanding eastward and therefor they have an "instinct for self-preservation" and had to act", as they claim.
Ukraine was not disarmed. Considering that Ukraine, being in the center of Europe, did not see the threat of a military invasion and was among friendly states (Russia was seen as a brotherly people), it was decided to abandon the third largest nuclear potential in the world and even get rid of the missiles that it transferred Russia. In exchange for this, the Budapest Memorandum secured security guarantees from the leading states, including Russia.

Russia treacherously violated this agreement, and now the missiles transferred to it by Ukraine are being fired at the territory of Ukraine. In this regard, Ukraine has the right to demand that the guarantor countries of the Budapest Memorandum provide it with weapons to protect its territory from an attack by another guarantor of its security - the Russian Federation. Of course, Ukraine will draw a conclusion in relation to its neighbor Russia and decisively break partnership relations with it for many generations. If you want to rejoice at the treachery and betrayal of Russia, rejoice. Ukraine will survive this difficult period for it. But whether the Russian Federation will survive it and whether it will retain its current territories - we'll see. As a result of this war, Russia has become very weak: Ukraine has already destroyed almost all of i professional army Russia. This will be used by the peoples living in Russia and which the Kremlin kept in obedience only by threats and force of arms.

Yesterday the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, at the request of representatives of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, recognized its independence. Dagestanis, Bashkirs, peoples of Siberia and the Far East begin to fight for their independence. Russia has always stated that it respects the people's right to self-determination. In any case, this was the case with respect to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine. Let's see how it will react to similar processes in its territory. Drowning them in blood, as was the case in Chechnya, Russia is not strong enough. And if the indigenous peoples of Siberia and the Far East separate from Russia, its current power will also disappear - the gas and oil that Russia is pumping into them, and to which crumbs are now falling. After all, in the central part of Russia there is no oil and gas of its own.

The threat from Ukraine, if it were to join NATO, is a far-fetched threat. As a result of an open military invasion of Ukraine, Russia's immediate neighbors Sweden and Finland have recently joined NATO and Russia has acquired 1,300 kilometers of direct border with NATO. And what did Russia do? Absolutely nothing. Threatened these countries and calmed down.
902  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: October 18, 2022, 07:32:33 PM
Did the countries of Europe and other world powers suddenly want to bring down the Russian economy for no apparent reason? No, this is a fair reaction to the aggression and aggressive wars of Russia itself. Russia has been attacking neighboring states under far-fetched pretexts for decades - Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine in 2014, where it created territorial objects of tension under its control. It seemed to her not enough. Now she has made a large-scale military invasion of Ukraine and unleashed the bloodiest war in Europe since the Second World War. It robs, kills, rapes and terrorizes the civilian population of Ukraine, deliberately destroys schools, hospitals, houses and other civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. Should terrorists and murderers be punished? Of course you do.
They should but not by other "terrorists and murderers". Don't pretend that what Europe and other "world powers" are doing to Russia is because they invaded Ukraine. It is not. They don't give a crap about Ukraine any of the things you listed here, if they did and were worried about "a country invading other countries for no reasons" they should start with NATO countries and more specifically United States that has invaded, destroyed and directly or indirectly murdered millions of people all for reasons like free oil, exerting geopolitical power, etc.
I am Ukrainian and I talk about what is happening in my country. In this case, Putin and his soldiers are ordinary murderers and there is no excuse for them. And at the same time, all the citizens of Russia are accomplices, who support the war in Ukraine by more than 70 percent. As for the countries of the European Union, they realized that if Putin is not stopped in Ukraine, then he will go further and get to them. Therefore, they have an instinct for self-preservation. It is easier for them to provide Ukraine with weapons and weaken Russia with the hands of Ukrainians than to fight the Russians themselves later. The same is true with sanctions.
903  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: October 18, 2022, 10:53:31 AM
The whole EU tried to pull the Russia down but Russia stood tall be it sentions or anything else.
Now there are other suggestions to pull Russia out of UN too. They can try this and face the music. the way they have already faced by putting sanctions on Russia

They tried to isolate Russia, and attempted to destroy the Russian economy through sanctions. They failed pathetically with both the attempts. First of all, not just China, but also other countries such as India, Pakistan and Indonesia refused to follow the NATO narrative and join the sanctions brigade. And secondly, despite all the sanctions and embargoes, Russian economy is doing relatively fine. The Russian Ruble is one of the best performing currencies of 2022, and that says a lot about the effectiveness of the sanctions.
It robs, kills, rapes and terrorizes the civilian population of Ukraine, deliberately destroys schools, hospitals, houses and other civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. Should terrorists and murderers be punished? Of course you do.

Economic sanctions are the most humane way to punish an aggressor country. Their results are not immediate. In Russia, there are certain stocks of sanctioned goods, at first it is possible to partially bypass them. You have to wait a year or two. Where to rush to conclusions? However, their results are already being felt in the Russian Federation. Along with the failures on the fronts of Ukraine, the virtual destruction of the regular army of Russia, the big problems with the mobilization inside Russia, because the army is gone, the sanctions inevitably do their job.

Now Putin is rushing about and does not know how to get out of this war with dignity, he desperately wants to put Ukraine at the negotiating table. But Ukraine has already said that it will not negotiate with Putin the killer, it will only talk with his successor and on Ukraine's terms. By the end of October there should be good news for Ukraine on the southern front. After that, the Putin regime should crumble ...

905  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: October 16, 2022, 07:02:46 AM
Results of the annexation referendum has been published:

https://ria.ru/20220927/referendum-1818721567.html?in=t

Donetsk: 99.23% in favor of joining Russia, 0.62% against
Luhansk: 98.42% in favor of joining Russia, 1.00% against
Zaporizhia: 93.11% in favor of joining Russia, 6.89% against
Kherson: 87.05% in favor of joining Russia, 12.05% against

Russia has announced that it will veto any UN resolution to condemn the referendums. Within two weeks the government will announce that these four regions have been formally annexed to Russia and that will allow them to send conscripts and reservists there.
This parody of the referendum has no legal consequences either for Ukraine or for the civilized world, which has unanimously recognized the inviolability of Ukrainian borders. The Russians drew the numbers of the referendum results as they liked and they were known to the media long before the referendum itself was held. Do you think that at least 10 percent of Ukrainians would have voluntarily voted for joining the Russian Federation after the Russian invaders massively robbed, killed and raped the civilian population, and "liberating" settlements in the Donbas and Lugansk region, destroyed them by 80-90 percent? This imitation of a referendum has nothing to do with the will of the people. The "referendum" was held by "voting" on the street or bypassing the occupiers of citizens' homes, accompanied by armed people, and was accompanied by threats of mobilization or other violent actions if they put their vote in the wrong column. After that, the result of the vote was checked (the forms, by the way, were printed on a regular photocopier, and of course, they did not provide for any reporting or tear-off coupons) and if a person voted the wrong way, his data was immediately entered into a separate journal. And this is only a small part of those violations that were.
Let's see how people will react to their release from such "liberators". The world already sees this in the example of the liberation of more than 1,700 square kilometers of Ukrainian land over the past month, including territories that were formally connected to the Russian Federation.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: Flood causing economics crises on: October 16, 2022, 06:31:28 AM
Natural disasters have always happened on our planet. And flooding in certain areas was one of them. But in recent decades, natural disasters have become more frequent and this is caused by global climate change and, above all, the melting of glaciers that have existed for hundreds and thousands of years.
Human economic activity causes irreparable damage to the environment. Scientists predict that due to the melting of glaciers, the level of the world ocean will rise significantly and part of the land on all continents will flood. Also, at the same time, the temperature on the planet will rise and this will lead to the fact that in some parts of the planet the climate will be unsuitable for human life. We still have some time to improve the situation. But the history of previous civilizations shows that we learn little from our past mistakes.
907  Economy / Economics / Re: Switching The World To Renewable Energy Will Cost $62 Trillion on: October 15, 2022, 10:40:08 AM
The switch to renewable energy is very important and a pretty urgent matter. Of course, it costs a lot of money to perform the switch, but the benefits of doing so are very clear. It'll pay off in the end and, more importantly, there will be immense economic losses from NOT doing it as well.
I am a bit surprised, though, that the researchers didn't look at atomic energy. Nuclear waste is a challenge, but electricity from nuclear power stations is much cleaner than traditional, and I'm sure that could save at least some of those estimated trillions needed for the switch. It's also much more stable than wind or solar energy because it's not weather-dependent and also not climate-dependent.
That's the problem, that nuclear power plants create big problems for the inhabitants of the Earth, because they pose an increased danger to vast territories in case of emergencies. The safety of their work is greatly influenced by the climate and especially by earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and volcanic eruptions. We have already seen this during the Fukushima-1 accident in Japan. There, only 11 years later, local residents were allowed to return to their former place of residence. Until now, the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant makes itself felt. The Russian occupiers remembered this well when they dug in this spring in the forest near this nuclear power plant. A few weeks later they were taken to Belarus with obvious signs of radiation sickness, although 36 years have passed since the accident.
Now Russia has occupied the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and due to the constant provocations of Russia, the world is again horrified by the fact that shells explode in the immediate vicinity and disrupt its normal energy supply, as a result of which it threatens an even greater accident than at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
Still, "green energy" is much cleaner and safer.
908  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: October 15, 2022, 07:13:50 AM
Of course, the impact of the Russian vs Ukraine war has been felt, this can be seen from my country that has difficulty meeting oil needs because it has long depending on oil and gas from Russia, it is not easy to find a country that wants oil and gas supply because the needs of oil and gas always rise and cannot buy freely.
Now mankind has approached the dangerous line of relatively rapid global climate change, and largely due to the fact that large quantities of oil, gas, and their processed products - gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, etc. are burned in large quantities. Scientists predict that after some time In some parts of the Earth, the temperature will rise to 50 degrees or more, and life there will be impossible. And this is just the beginning.

Now the countries of the European Union are refusing Russian oil and gas not only in order not to sponsor the war by paying a terrorist state for these energy resources and to avoid blackmailing Russia. These countries are adopting accelerated programs for the irrevocable transition to alternative sources of "green" energy, which will not have such a detrimental effect on the planet's climate.

Your country also needs to gradually phase out the consumption of oil and gas if you want not only your children, but many future generations of people to live on Earth.
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH price keeps decreasing? on: October 14, 2022, 05:01:25 PM
not just eth but the bitcoin too, the world economy right now is not at the good shape and it have impacted to crypto aswell. and after merge the eth doesnt make the price move up in fact i just lose on eth when i long in binance futures but the price is keep going down  Cheesy

Merge is not the main point that can pump the price of ethereum. Ethereum itself is still rely with bitcoin. that doens't make sense if ethereum was pumping alone without bitcoin being pumped first. i meant we must also realize about the fact that if these days ethereum was not doing so good. So many people expect merge to create hype but none happened.
Everything happens logically: the entire cryptocurrency market continues to fall in price, so ethereum also falls in price. In addition, the update of the ethereum network has not yet been fully completed. Yes, and everything needs to be rubbed and subsided. Therefore, you need to wait until the market starts to recover. Ethereum will still show a good price growth rate. This is one of the most promising for the growth of cryptocurrencies. Everything has its time.
910  Other / Politics & Society / Re: During the morning missile attack on Ukraine, the Russians hit Samsung Offices on: October 14, 2022, 04:14:03 PM
What do they mean when they say their goal is to weaken russia?
This has always been a proxy war between United States and Russia before it even began. It is not about supply of components or anything like that. Think of it this way: every Russian soldier that falls is one less soldier to fight US. Every bullet that Russia fires at another direction is one less bullet they have to shoot at US.

In fact this is not the only proxy war that the Americans have started or are trying to start. Basically they have pulled anybody who threatened their global hegemony into a similar war. The proxy war through ISIS against Iran, the proxy war through Taiwan against China and the proxy war through Ukraine against Russia are the 3 main ones.
Do not lose sight of the main thing: it was not the United States that started the war in Ukraine. Eight Russian armies invaded Ukraine on February 24 from three sides, including from the territory of Belarus, and began to quickly move towards Kyiv in order to overthrow the legitimate government there and capture Ukraine. Such impudence of Putin in the 21st century in the center of Europe shocked all civilized states. Therefore, their desire to help Ukraine, which was attacked, is quite logical. If Russia had not attacked Ukraine, this conversation would not have happened. But Russia attacked. Of course, having seen the resilience and professionalism of the Ukrainian armed forces and the entire people, the United States, like all NATO countries, is taking the opportunity to weaken Russia militarily and economically.

NATO countries were afraid of an open military clash with Russia, and here a relatively small Ukraine with a population six times smaller than Russia is defeating the "second army of the world" on its territory. In fact, Ukraine is now doing what the NATO countries have been preparing for the past few decades. The US successfully uses the situation, and no more. But Russia itself is to blame for this: there was no need to attack Ukraine.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit coins era is going to end on: October 13, 2022, 03:41:40 PM
I hope the shitcoin era ends and there are definite regulations regarding altcoins,
because nowadays it is very easy for scam developers to create scam altcoins,
of course this is what makes investors no longer trust cryptocurrencies anymore because there are so many rugpull or scam altcoins,
and if there is a regulation regarding it so I believe investors will be safe.
Fraudulent cryptocurrencies will not decrease yet. This is facilitated by the open source code of cryptocurrencies, which allows anyone to create cryptocurrencies without any control and an increase in the number of new people who wish to invest in cryptocurrencies. Experienced users are less susceptible to the tricks of scammers, and beginners will continue to become their victims. There is still little government regulation of this type of activity, which creates a favorable environment for the further development of fraud.

What will the Russians do in anticipation of winter if their troops do not have proper equipment and winter clothing?
This reminded of the first days of the invasion when the Russians had forgotten to bring enough fuel and got stuck Cheesy

Quote
In this most combat-ready part of the Russian army, it will either surrender or die, because the retreat routes are under the complete control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Are they really?
Looking at the site @DrBeer shared some time ago (https://deepstatemap.live/) all the occupied regions are directly connected to mainland Russia (through land or sea of Azov, also accessible through the Black sea).
The Ukraine progress is also pushing Russians back not surrounding them or cutting them from behind to be able to cut any of the supply/retreat routes.
About two months ago, the President of Ukraine in the Armed Forces of Ukraine openly declared that they were launching an offensive on the southern front. Russia, in response to this, pulled the most combat-ready units and a lot of all kinds of weapons into the Kherson region in southern Ukraine. The statements of the Ukrainian command were deliberate, because after the concentration of Russian troops on the right bank of the Dnieper, Ukraine damaged all four bridges across the Dnieper with high-precision missiles and approximately 25-30 thousand Russian invaders were actually trapped and surrounded. They cannot depart, because the wide Dnieper is behind them. So, the main Antonovsky bridge has a length of about 1300 meters. The Russians will not swim across there, and Russian barges and pontoon bridges are periodically destroyed. Therefore, for more than a month, the remnants of the regular Russian army have been without the necessary replenishment of equipment and ammunition, there is a problem with food and even with water and warm clothes. All this time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly strike at command posts, ammunition depots and accumulations of manpower and equipment.

At the same time, from the beginning of October, the Armed Forces of Ukraine really went on the offensive against the exhausted Russian troops, freeing more than 1,100 square kilometers of their territory in the Kherson direction, which Russia had already managed to annex to the Russian Federation on paper. The ring over this grouping of Russian troops is shrinking. The Russians are increasingly surrendering. A major defeat is inevitable there, so Putin is looking for a decent way out of this war, but Ukraine does not leave any chances, despite the massive rocket attacks on peaceful Ukrainian cities in the past four days.

914  Economy / Economics / Re: Scientists say food insecurity drove international conflict 2000 years ago on: October 11, 2022, 06:23:11 PM
It's not far from happening, although of course there is still some time to act before we get to the point wherein we have to fight for our basic needs and oppress other nations into giving us their resources. It's what a lot of generations before us did before we reached this point of "harmony" between nations and it's not impossible for us to revert back to that stage again. Imagine if everyone goes batshit crazy due to hunger. For damn sure they will do everything they can to survive another day, even if it means hurting someone for their food. It's still embedded within us for our own survival and pretty sure it'll exhibit once we reached our breaking point. The problem is, for sure the next conflict for survival will surely leave a lot of people dead—but not hungry, at least.
Yes, humanity, with its disrespect for nature and the resources of the Earth, is approaching such a bad scenario for the future. But we still have time to change our minds and significantly slow down or even avoid such an unenviable fate if we stop pushing global climate change on our planet with our actions. Also, humanity can invent ways to avoid the problem of food shortages in the future. But so far, neither we nor the previous civilizations of people on this planet have been able to do this.
915  Economy / Economics / Re: More financial sanctions for Russians from EU - But for the Crypto Bans! on: October 11, 2022, 05:40:25 PM

I'm conclusion to what you have said, those sanctions imposed by European Union also would be difficult to lift especially when the war comes to an end one day eventually. It should take years before such are lifted. Russia will be on the lossing side if that happens in the future. Putin's quest for power is too obvious, I pray and hope this recent sanctions imposed doesn't results to Putin been triggered to use nukes. ( Nuclear Weapons )
Russia is unsuccessfully trying to find ways to win the war it started in Ukraine, as it suffers a military defeat on the fronts of Ukraine. Therefore, Putin and his entourage tried to scare the world with the use of nuclear weapons. In response, they received a rather harsh warning about catastrophic consequences for Russia from the United States and England, as well as a statement from Ukraine that even the use of nuclear weapons on its territory would not stop the resistance of Ukrainians. This cooled the Kremlin's desire to brandish a nuclear cudgel, and lately they no longer do it and declare that, according to the constitution, nuclear weapons can be used as a last resort, when there is a real threat to the existence of the Russian Federation as a state.

Putin has now changed tactics and has been launching massive rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities over the past few days, targeting the infrastructure that supplies civilians with electricity, heat and water. Moreover, Putin saw the support of such strikes from his own population and therefore does not hide the purpose of missile strikes on civilian critical infrastructure. However, this did not intimidate Ukraine and caused a lot of indignation on the part of the international community. Now the Kremlin is confused and they do not know what to do next.
916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crash Incoming? on: October 09, 2022, 07:19:28 PM
We've already crashed isn't it? all time high of $69k and then seeing the floor price at $17,500. So that's about it this bearish cycle as I don't see the price go lower than that.

For the 2020 crash, yes it was due to the pandemic, but the cycle might repeat (not the virus itself), but the market crash due to several reasons, like recession and war. But I don't see any major slump that will push the price to another lower lows for this year or the whole bear market. And if by chance I'm wrong and the price fall below $17,500, then it's another great opportunity stack sats again.
I see no reason to panic. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have repeatedly lost up to 70-90 percent of their previous price in a short time. But after a certain time, the market not only recovered, but also significantly rose in price. That will happen this time as well. After all, there are no objective grounds for the collapse of this market. World states are not hostile to cryptocurrencies. Only further regulation of this market is inevitable. But this will not be critical for cryptocurrency.
917  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: October 09, 2022, 06:47:09 PM
If there is actually a WW3, then it will take decades for the global economy to recover.
I don't think there would be anything left of the world to have an economy Tongue

Personally, I believe that Russia is waiting for winter to start. They will go on the attack mode by some time in November and till then they will continue to lose territory, especially in the regions of Kharkov and Kherson. The focus of the Russian army is primarily in Donbass, and this means that they are losing territory elsewhere.
I think they are basically trying to weaken NATO more before they start moving forward (hence waiting for winter). I also don't think they'll let any territories be lost in Kherson region since after the first plan was lost (annex anything west of Dnipro river) the main plan is to cut off Ukraine from the sea and basically reach Moldova by annexing all those regions in the south.
The bombardments of southern targets from Ochakiv to Odesa could be considered a proof of that plan.
Ukrainians haven't have that much success liberating those regions in Kherson front either.
What will the Russians do in anticipation of winter if their troops do not have proper equipment and winter clothing? Especially surrounded and pressed to the Dnieper by the Kherson group of Russian troops, which already had big problems with supplies, and after yesterday's damage to the Kerch bridge, which connects mainland Russia with the occupied Crimean peninsula, the situation there will be simply catastrophic. In this most combat-ready part of the Russian army, it will either surrender or die, because the retreat routes are under the complete control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
By the way, in recent weeks, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are moving very quickly in the Kherson direction, freeing approximately 1,200 square kilometers of their territory. From the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the houses of Kherson are already visible.
918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc not money on: October 08, 2022, 05:14:01 PM
Btc is not money stop following your country rules and regulations u cant regulate something what doesnt exist.
Btc are digital the money is only when you sell or buy if fiat transactions involved then we talk about this fiat transactions and its no matter for what those transactions was.
Btc is just in the computer some digits and its not money neither stable coins not money.

Crypto is not money the money start with fiat currency.

Money performs different functions and the main one is a measure of value. Money can be any object of the material or non-material world that people will use as a model of value. Money is not only banknotes of the state. Since ancient times, these were pieces of gold, silver or bronze. In some nations, even processed ordinary stones served as money. The money was livestock or household items. That is, everything that people agree to consider as a value. Bitcoin became money when people began to consider it valuable and could exchange it not only for fiat, but also for the same gold or any other material items that represent a certain value.
919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to calculate how much the price of BTC? on: October 08, 2022, 04:46:50 PM

BTC's circulating supply is now 19 billion out of the 21 billion caps.

Is it possible to calculate how much the price of BTC will go up until it hits the 21 billion cap?

I know there is some complicated math you can do about circulating supply, market cap, price etc, it's all connected,

How can I calculate the price potential of BTC within the next 1-10 years?
It is hardly possible to predict what the price of bitcoin or other cryptocurrency will be in about ten years from now. In addition to purely mathematical calculations, the price of a cryptocurrency is greatly influenced by economic and political events that occur daily in the world. These events are impossible to predict. But it is they who will influence the ratio of supply and demand, which directly form the price of the cryptocurrency.

I have an outside main job and instead of selling crypto assets or spending it, I am still trying to accumulate more of my assets during this bear season with my salary. Your question is no different than you are asking if we are willing to sell crypto assets during bear season while everyone is trying to accumulate more crypto assets and waiting for a bull season to come.
I support. In a bearish period, when the price of crypto-currencies falls sharply, I try not to sell my crypto-currency unless absolutely necessary. Sometimes, if tokens grow in price during this period, or there is a threat that this token may disappear from the market, I exchange them for top coins such as ethereum. It makes little sense to sell tokens during this period, since they have a very low price after the market falls. However, of course, some of them do not withstand a long fall and disappear. But if the project is promising and its team is professional, then the token withstands the fall and then develops further.
