BTC-TC,

Anonymous voted NO with comment: No evidence that I've found as yet that VMC is actually shipping operational hardware. No evidence of 28nm ASICs either. Will amend vote if evidence of live, hashing equipment is provided (not screenshots of e-commerce sites selling pre-orders!).

what to do?

Friedcat of AM fame released the AM financial statement today and I noticed something interesting in his Project Timeline, specifically in Nov-Dec...

Update

Financial Status

...
blah blah blah
...

August-September: Deploy/sell all hashpower arriving in July and early August.
September-November: Deploy/sell the hashpower ordered at early July.
November-December: Experimental products of 2nd-gen chips and modular large-scale deployment solutions.

Modular, you say? What a brilliant idea!

now THAT... is good shit.

Not to mention these "exchanges" are in Belize.

What part of US was Liberty Reserve based in, again?

yeah yeah yeah, splitting heirs...
LB was a shady operation and had NOTHING to do per se with bitcoin

Well the SEC sure doesn't "beat around the bush":

“Ponzi scheme operators often claim to have a tie to a new and emerging technology as a lure to potential victims,” said Lori J. Schock, Director of the SEC’s Office of Investor Education and Advocacy.  “Investors should understand that regardless of the type of investment, a promise of high returns with little or no risk is a classic warning sign of fraud.”

Caveat Emptor I don't need a babysitter.

It's not about having a baby sitter, it's about the SEC knocking on these exchanges doors or even each individual offering and saying shut it down because the correct procedures weren't taken.

at the bottom of the page of BTC-TC:

* This is a virtual stock exchange using virtual currency. Virtual goods utilized on this site are for entertainment and educational purposes only.

We're educating ourselves... nothing wrong with that.

Not to mention these "exchanges" are in Belize.

Okay, this was surely discussed several times now, but I still do not totally understand (as a new shareholder):

I have a quantity of x AMC-PT shares on BTC-TC. What kind of sorcery should I perform in the future/now, to convert them into ActiveMining shares on BTC-TC?  Grin Should I send an e-mail, or something else? Or will this conversion be automatic after the approval of ActiveMining on BTC-TC?

Completely automatic, just sit tight.

Oh, thanks Smiley
Do you have any source of this information? Haven't Ken earlier stated that we should transfer our shares to bitfunder, and have until 31. of July to do so?

https://btct.co/security/ACTIVEMINING

Click on Details

Once this has the 5 Votes that are needed, AMC on btct will become ACTIVEMINING.

So what is the hold up with the voting on this?
Does someone have a beef with ACTIVEMINING?

Thought you guys might be interested in this; after talking with Ken yesterday I'm now busy creating what will hopefully be the new logo for VMC. I'm working on several different designs which I'll be presenting to him in a few days time, but for now here's a little preview of one of them:

Now THIS is very exciting.

Keep up the good work!

I guess I could do that, but I am not going to, because what I want is for this to be successful, and walking away with the bucks would not make me feel like I was successful.  It would make me feel the opposite.  My main driving ambition is for this company to be very successful, not the money I will make from it; however, we do keep score by the amount of money the company makes and everyone else.  I am working very hard to make it successful.  I could have taken the easy route and plugged in the Avalon's and made ~$1,000 dollars a day and had plenty of money.  No, I decided to use my years of experience in business (I have been in business since I was 18) to create a company if we are lucky that could be the "World Leader In Manufacturing Bitcoin Machines And Mining Of Bitcoins".   I am not looking for a lots of money, I am looking to be successful, to make my customers successful, and to make my investors successful that is my driving goal.  "If you make your customers successful, then you will be successful".

Kenneth E. Slaughter, CEO/CTO
Active Mining Corporation

Well said.
At the end of the day a man's purpose is to know he's done a good job.
Pure and simple.

HAHAhahahahaha

I bet all you "longers" are really regretting not selling above .0025 now that Ken has confirmed that 400,000 shares will be dumped at that price over the weekend.

hahahaha?

trollbox much?

Yeah ill be leaving for that trollbox now, i've made my profit here. You religiously devout Ken believers can have a couple pages of this thread without worrying about me spreading "FUD", as there is no longer any profit opportunity here for at least another couple weeks. Good luck with the new wall! Grin

Wow you incredible day trading genius... you sure got the best of us. we bow to your utter benevolence.

The obvious conclusion is it would have been easier to pull off a scam and do a runner before now, than continue to the IPO stage and beyond. So we either have an incompetent group of scammers (would have been banged up by now), or a competent team who have successfully delivered the first tranche of a start up, yet are probably cursing the day they agreed to start out, lol.

I play online poker and there have been much more drawn out and much more elaborate scams when big amounts of money are at play. While your rationale is logical there's not much weight to it in this case as there is $1M+ at play. In the end only time will tell how AMC will pan out so we're all just speculating as to whether this is legit or not or if it will succeed.

Why even entertain such nonsense?
The more you focus on negative outcomes, as so many people have seemed to flip to in here today, the more momentum you give the negative outcome.
912  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 11:03:57 PM

geez... feel like I'm watching the trollbox on BTC-e today.
913  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 09:28:49 PM
A few things people are missing here-

if Ken had not put up these latest walls what would have happened? Price would have shot up to maybe .004 and there would have been a big sell off. Fact. This place is flooded with speculators and any big big percentage move will always be followed by a sell off. That is the nature of short term market speculation. So it's likely we would have been back sitting around .0025.

It is actually better for long term steady growth that share price does not go up too quickly. 25% in a few days is actually way too fast. We all  saw btc surge to 260USD followed by a huge sell off that it is yet to recover from. That sort of volatility is not healthy for any stock.

A 10% gain per week is sustainable and will prevent massive sell offs that scare away investors and make a company look rocky. 10% a week will make us all very rich so be sensible and calm down everyone.

hear hear... agreed 100%

I think the circling sharks (specs) still smell chum in the water though.

First of all if any of you have sold the farm to invest in any of these BTC mining stocks, including the successful ones, then you've got bigger balls than me.
Yeah, I guess I'd be freaking out too but: "you shouldn't invest more than you can afford to lose..."

Sitting and watching the exchanges and scrutinizing and guessing every single move is creating FUD. FUD will break this.

If you can sit tight and let this thing play out, you just might be happy with the results.

otherwise... "the sky is falling."
915  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 07:44:40 PM
caveat emptor

That means 'seize the day'.

that would be Carpe Diem
916  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 07:37:49 PM
the gnashing of teeth, pulling of hair and general freaking out in here is manic... and mildly entertaining.
917  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 07:11:15 PM
ignore the FUD.
918  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 06:51:27 PM
it's just so much easier to hit the ignore button sometimes.
919  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 04:19:30 PM
Yes, it will definitely hit 1 BTC. No doubt about it.

*shifty look* Wink

Haha 1 btc would give Active Mining a valuation higher than all the BTC in existance

Yeah... How does that work?
920  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 02:49:19 PM

again, not to beat this into the ground but I want to make sure I haven't missed something:

If we own AMC-PT shares on BTC-TC, do we still sit tight with them and they will automatically turnover?

or should we consider the tender process outlined in kslaughter's original post regarding ACTIVEMINING?
