FYI, the guys coming in here to troll with the "SDC" names are actually XST "supporters" trying to get others to attack SDC in retaliation for what happened to their coin.  Pretty lame attempts but the fact that their new accounts created in the last hour or 2 should give it away.
902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 11, 2014, 06:00:40 AM
So it is very possible that after reaching the block that will halve the block rewards, this new wallet will be ready on all available exchanges and do the hard fork.

Given what happened last time, I would be surprised if it came out and would "suddenly" reduce the block reward etc.  Usually when a coin does a hard fork that's not an emergency one, the wallet is released several days before the block where the fork would actually take place in order to give everyone plenty of time to get updated and deal with any build issues etc that might come up.  So for example, you might put out a wallet tonight but the "hard fork" not take place for another few days.  But I really don't know what they're planning this go around.
903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 11, 2014, 05:48:58 AM

I wouldn't trust anything from a P&D twitter account.

However, here's what we do know for "fact"

LitecoinDark v1.2.2 (to be released tonight hopefully unless something dire happens) DOES contain hard fork code and will cause the block reward to drop.

This is also why 1.2.2 isn't out yet.  I'm waiting on blocks, the same as everyone else.  Thanks for helping to clarify this.

Granted, not all my questions were answered at the time and they were supposed to be putting together more info, but still, I got some answers to what I asked at the time.

Post it here. If it isn't hot air, I'll go away.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=745352.msg8971700#msg8971700

I also read a lot of different things about ZK, the Zerocoin/Zerocash stuff, Darkwallet etc since they all appeared to me to be along the same lines.

Fucking vapor answer for vapor ware, vapor1.

Viper1, you read about my experiences in the stealth thread not here in this shit shadow vapor thread.

Once I didn't get answers, I left this shitty thread, didn't bother spending any money, and didn't look back. Unlike you, you piece of shit troll, I don't fucking troll other threads...until now...because of you piece of shit shadow trolls.

Well that's funny.  I got more answers to question here than I ever did over in the XST thread.  But so be it, you're dismissed as not worth my time any longer.

It's a really interesting field. I believe we're in a paradigm shift right now from non-zk to zk based coins. Have you looked into Pinocchio coin?

Pinocchio coin? Are you referring to the 3 page whitepaper that they say is a "very preliminary case study"? Or is there more to it somewhere or something completely different?

I you are an impartial innocent bystander, Viper1, ask right here on this shitty thread how the dev is going to use zk-snarks. Fucking ask the question and see what you get.

I did it a long time ago Viper1 and got nothing but deleted posts.

If I would have gotten any answer at all, I'd probably be bouncing trolls right now. But shadow is shitware viper. That's the truth.

I did ask a number of pages back when I was first looked into the coin.  Funny thing about that.  You were complaining about not getting answers from them, either here or in the XST thread, can't remember which thread now, and someone posted in response to you all the stuff I had asked and the answers I received.  lol

The XST whitepaper was reviewed by some of the bitcoin core devs and they came to the conclusion that it was unfeasible.

The least you can do is be truthful.  They didn't say it wasn't feasible and in fact one of them said they didn't have enough information about all potential solutions to actually know or not.

This whole thing is just pathetic.  Both sides just spewing off bullshit to suit their own purposes.  Grow a fucking spine people and show some ethics in what the hell you say. The number of children in this shit pretending to be adults just pushes me over the edge at times.

Viper1 you are correct, this whole thing is pathetic. It has nothing to do with SDC and everything to do with XST. Longandshort started this investigation by inquiring about the feasibility, not me. In fact, you should take your queries back up with Greg he's the one of the guys who gave his expert opinion on it, not me. I've just been swatting these trolls's baseless scam accusations in this thread.

Answer from Greg Maxwell:
[01:38am] bjjb: If this is truly a work of his passion, maybe he will find a way to make it work.  I do appreciate the skeptic professional opinions tonight - they are rare in the trade scene.
[01:40am] nessence joined the chat room.
[01:40am] gmaxwell: You can't really honest effort yourself through something that is just not applicable, and probably not through not knowing what you're doing. ... and you speak of integrity, but launching some speculative asset when you've not done the work?  I don't think that is something that speaks of integrity.

Bottom Line:
Devs shouldn't post specs as promises when they haven't done their homework.

You seem to forget I was in that chat. I know exactly what he said and didn't say.  I was also in a Monero chat room with the guys that would actually have more information than the bitcoin guys.

I'm certainly not "defending" the Stealthsend stuff as it's pretty clear at this point that even if it gets implemented it has issues and will be questionable as to whether or not it's cryptographically sound.  But I just want to see some truths being told and not bullshit.

909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] Shadow | [ ShadowChat | ShadowSend | ShadowGo ] | 1st HTML5 Client/Wallet on: October 11, 2014, 01:10:00 AM
You are full of shit viper. The shadow cocksuckers spammed the XST thread relentlessly.

The shadow dev is a little bitch who deletes posts.

More worthless crap from you.  You never have anything worthwhile to say.  And let's just point out that I sat in that XST thread "discussing things" with that longandshort guys about his so called "proof" until he finally came out and said where he was getting his info. You in the meantime did and do absolutely nothing.  In other words.  I did more to actually "defend" chandran sigs than you have ever done and I don't even like XST or that community.  So why don't you just go hide back under the rock you crawled out from under.

can someone please fill me in.

Is the reward dropping to 200 or to 32 tonight??? I am little bit confused as I thought today was the big day at last!!!!

Kind regards

It is positively 200. Looks like we still have ~1000 blocks to go. So, looks like tomorrow. I asked for somebody to confirm my math, but nobody replied. I did my best. ~darylluke.

It's not possible to calculate an exact time.  In an ideal world, with 1 minute block times, that's 1440 every 24 hours.  However, due to variations in hash rate and/or difficulty, the actual block times can vary sometimes going several minutes for a new block and at other times you can get a couple in a minute.  Maybe if you averaged blocks over several hours you could get a closer time frame but even then, there could be a sudden rise or decrease in hash rate and thus difficulty that would then throw out those numbers.

Well... That was certainly... something.

Back to work, I guess.

lol.  Oh don't worry.  I'm sure it will get even worse as time goes on.  Better you focus on development as opposed to the drama that will come up even though I know it can be difficult to watch at times.  lol

Pookie, longandshort, i need a favor from you guys.

Go to this thread and start bashing please:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715435.300

it needs your attention more than XST

Thanks in advance

Hey!!!!  Leave Spreadcoin alone!!  That poor little coin has a tiny community and isn't even on any exchanges yet which I've loved, not to mention it's been fun just CPU mining it with just the wallet.  lol

Guys, calm down and think for yourselves.

This is coming from the inside of the bob's group: Hondo was on bob's payroll the whole time. Both of them are gone from this thread and have abandoned the coin. If you do not trust me just study the most recent scam bob pulled out - CLOAK - the devs were working for him: he admitted this.

Do yourselves a favour and get the hell out of because it will go down to 1 K satoshi in a few days. You were taken for a ride by bob the scammer. Face it and cut your loses. Many people were in your shoes, face the reality.

Jimmy Zed

Soooo.. reading a couple posts from you I thought you might be for real.  But here you say Hondo is gone.  And yet he just posted in the thread a short time ago.  And you also say the Cloak devs were working for Bob.  And yet Bob posted some PMs where a dev basically told him no to what he wanted and Bob also said he approached the Cloak devs 3 times and each time they rubuked him.  In fact, he posted that stuff in this thread.

So hey.  Do you have anything truthful to say?
They unleashed a war against this community and against the coin and the devs. They work as a team 24/7. Just follow their posts.
They have a precise target and purpose. I did pay attention to them until I realized that this is an orchestrated attack.

It's interesting how the Cloak guys would talk about just how much FUD etc would get spewed in their thread.  Even I was surprised by how much was going on in there when I was looking at it.  Seems like there's a new coin that will take the crown for the most FUD going on.  lol

All righty. Since longandshort was posting the IRC chat including some of the stuff I was asking, I figure I'll post my perspective for anyone that might actually care.

The conversation in the bitcoin channel was somewhat misleading and really didn't answer me satisfactory.  Frankly, it's not their job and, as longandshort posted, they don't really know if it can be implemented or not given the limited information presented.  They're also looking at it from the perspective of bitcoin.

Since I was mentioning Monero in there, one of their devs invited me into one of their channels where I was able to ask a few more questions.

Regarding the paper I posted that outlines how Chandran signatures can be traceable etc. Apparently it has not even been peer reviewed. So I'm left with the assumption that while it could be implemented, it would be questionable as to whether or not it would be sound.

So I was thinking about the whitepaper and what it actually said.  Two things stood out to me, the first that it was talking about CN and then about burning Stealthcoins to Stealthsend coins.  One of the key issues is the blockchain.  For example, CN and bitcoin blockchains are completely incompatible. In addition, trying to implement something like Chandran sigs into a bitcoin core would be a massive undertaking.  I mention the bitcoin core since it appears the source for Stealthcoin is based on that given the copyright notice although there's probably been some mods to it as well.  Either way, I simply don't see how Stealthsend could be added into the blockchain after the fact especially given the time frame.

Given all that, the only way I can see potentially having Stealthsend in the time frame outlined is if it was based on CN with its own blockchain or perhaps some sort of dual blockchain scheme.  That would sort of fit with the whitepaper talking about burning one for the other.  In addition, changing CN to use Chandran sigs would be a much easier task but as I said, whether or not it would be cryptographically sound would still be up for debate.

And with that, I'm done with this Chandran sigs/Stealthsend topic as I spent far too much time looking into something that the devs should have been more clear about.  Good luck to everyone.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] Shadow | [ ShadowChat | ShadowSend | ShadowGo ] | 1st HTML5 Client/Wallet on: October 10, 2014, 08:39:12 AM
I tried the Shadow go and Html5 wallet and not work right. Somethings wrong maybe? No much the good time with this wallets. Something have to do to make it work ok? I'm full with the sadness.  Undecided

Love all these newbie accounts flooding with so called problems .... god you guys cant even troll!!!

I couldn't get the new wallet to work on the XP system I use for running most wallets either so have been using the old one.  Not concerned though as I'm sure the devs will be able to "fix" whatever problem I'm having once I make it over to IRC.  Funny thing is that I tried to install the XST wallet today and it won't work either.  I don't get it really as I have probably 15 other wallets that work just fine but I figure it has to do with that QT4/QT5 which most wallets don't use.  Interestingly I found this thread regarding people having problems making XP compatible releases with QT http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/27448

strange because we do have sources proving that it does work on some xp boxes..iirc can you tell us any more info regarding the errors or what is happening how can we recreate it do you think?

Sorry but maybe give us a rundown of your system and its updates if any the windows version real or torrent ect?

I'll visit IRC to sort it out when I get a chance.  Got distracted today with the damn XST shit thanks to you.  lol
919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 10, 2014, 07:26:16 AM
Untill we have a coin that has value i will be concern and wonder why its all abt website, video contest. And hype.

Keep in mind that all the other stuff, websites, reddit etc are done by others, not the actual dev, which is how it should be so that he can focus on actually coding the coin itself.  It's typical to get lots of other things going on like that while the actual coin is being worked on.  Regardless, a coin needs all those things and many more than we currently have as they're good to show continual progress outside of the actual coin itself, not to mention build an "ecosystem" around the coin that will sustain it long term.

As for "hype", that's always going to occur and you have to just sort of ignore it.  I could point out other coins that are 10x, 100x the price of this one that are actually nothing more than hype.  That's simply the way it is in the crypto world.
920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ on: October 10, 2014, 07:11:27 AM
Oh good lord.  So I addressed Otto's issues both in the thread and in a PM.  Since then there's been nothing but posts with name calling etc.  He hasn't posted anything about those things since he PM'd me and I answered his questions.  He appears to be a newbie to crypto and had some valid concerns cause he doesn't understand certain things.

i was called a ass clown so who is calling who names lol not that it matters to me i have big shoulders  but glad you could help him out and set him straight now hopefully we can move forward  Grin plus coming into a forum and calling things bulls--t and calling members kids isnt a good start to ask for help and putting down peoples work they did on reddit and the main web page.

I know what you mean.  But hey, we all have bad days and occasionally "freak out" about things.  lol
