You do know you can run each of those things isolated yet in the same application. XMAPP is very wrong for this type of application, sockets with self signed SSL would be the best. P2P and client/server models can do the same thing just like bitcoin is P2P yet it has a server and client model, with nodes. I am disappointed that this cool project doesn't have a higher caliber of programmer running it. Maybe you could contribute or come up with reasons that your suggestions are better, instead of tossing around insults?

you should not put in any money that you cannot afford to lose!
Well, obviously. But that doesn't mean it's going to die for whatever reason.

The big address is likely MtGox, they often transfer funds through a key that holds around 500K BTC.

Where are you located? If it's some fascist third-world country, is there any reason to not suspect that customs may have seized it for some reason?

How about a "most used" list, as in how much has moved through a single address since it first appeared? I'm guessing there would be a bunch of mtgox addresses listed, followed by 1VayNert somewhere in close.

Same old coinexchanger/chesscoin backend with a translation on top. Still no market charts or orderbook anywhere, just an opaque exchange rate. <-- It's there, my eyes fail. At least when I signed up this time, the balance was empty instead of being $300+ with no way to withdraw. BTCLR-AE30-C987-48DC-F4C6-6461-A48B-84C3-0923
Yay! I was able to deposit fake money and lose it by attempting to trade with it. Exciting!

Does it do the same when a diagnostic is being run? The diagnostic uses known data instead of random data.
Wonder if your pool isn't providing work fast enough and cgminer isn't mentioning it (although it usually reports it religiously)
EDIT: I'm assuming that you have ruled out throttling as the cause; when that happens the same side light goes dim, but the front panel light also flashes for a while.

To prevent breakage, a good way to unbend bad pins is to use a mechanical pencil with the lead removed. The tiny cylinder fits the pins reasonably well.

I've noticed that gmail is particularly insistent that all messages from bets@betsofbitco.in get placed in my spam folder. I "train" the filter by marking them "not spam", but the .in force is too strong or something else is causing it to remain flagged as spam. Setting up SPF on your DNS might help the spam algorithm to more correctly identify the legitimacy of the message. That's weird, because all mine get through just fine on gmail. SPF is always a good idea, if it hasn't been done already.

I know they are Mean Wells and everything, but what's the actual efficiency of the stock brick? I'm betting it isn't too far different from 87%, and Inaba tested one with a clamp meter somwhere, just can't find the post atm. All I am saying is, the MW is rated LESS (102 watts instead of 120) than the stock brick, and so it might get just as hot.
AFAIK I am the only one to have published clamp meter measurements. I measured the BFL power adapters to be 81% efficient: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90972.msg1003140#msg1003140(Again, jothan, your numbers an incorrect. Accurate measurements can't be done at the wall, you need a clamp meter or similar.) Here it is, I found it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67819.msg796852#msg796852Ok, got the numbers:
1.7A @ Idle 5.9A @ At 100% mining
So we're looking at around 70w of actual usage on a quality PSU instead of a power brick. Not terrible.
(That was DC measurements on a stock brick, I believe)

Paging Definit, I haven't heard from you yet after a PM. Are you reneging on your bid?

Also consider using the search function before making a new thread.. It doesn't go a week by that someone doesn't start a thread on this exact topic, no exaggeration, others can confirm.
The search function absolutely sucks - until that is remedied I think we're just stuck with people starting new threads about frequently asked questions. google.com site:bitcointalk.org <search string>

I stopped reading this thread. If the password is less than 8 characters, regardless of keyset used, and you give me, a hobbyist, the hash of said password, and I'll give you the password in a few minutes.
That's been fixed, IIRC.
