We are the only company from this forum (as far as I know) that has delivered the products on time. If we said that we'll deliver then, we will. What other kind of guarantees can be offered?

We could have "forced the truth" and say that we'll deliver in Oct-Nov, but we prefer to sell less and keep our reputation unharmed.

You do have a great reputation, and I'd have no problem ordering products from you.

However in these turbulent times with huge hashrates coming on line, new vendors, ipo mining farms etc it's tricky to work out if anything you get in your hands today will be profitable let alone predict what the mining world will look like in 5 months time.

I wish you well in your venture, for me the days of pre-orders are over and I will re-evalutate future purchases when vendors have items in stock.

Wow thank you so much. that appears to have been the problem Cheesy

My pleasure.

By the way I would still not generally recommend setting the fan above 80% due to the design flaw that makes the higher pressure 38mm fans blow so hard that the low pressure fan 25mm is spinning but air is moving backwards through it.

Does that apply on the batch #3 too ? Not had the case off mine but it appears from the outside to only have those 2 high pressure fans, changed it anyway.

HELP!! I flashed the bios to 20130821 last night and now its 20x worse!! Runs at 100ghs for about 30 seconds before dropping to 5ghs - 20ghs erratically. Left it for a few hours and no better. Tried a couple of versions in between with same results before flashing back to original backup and now that's fucked too Sad

Any suggestions? this is killing me!!!

Yours is a batch #3, it's probably throttling because of temps as the sensors have changed so the default temps are too low

In more options try
--real-quiet --avalon-auto --avalon-fan 100 --avalon-temp 70 --avalon-cutoff 90
906  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: September 19, 2013, 09:04:20 PM
Thank you for detailed answer. Here's what I've got: 2Gb for just 5h 35m:
...
My Avalon is hosted in the datacenter and they are asking me to pay bills for this gigabytes (total 143 Gb for more than 1 month).

Firmware was taken from http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/avalon/20130821/

That's strange mine has been up for a month since last reboot and not used that much

btcguild via PPLNS for the 3% fee.  Easy to withdrawal and monitor on my iphone.

How can it be monitored on Android?

Code:
Order No. of Chips	Total BTC
47 80 12.8

OT, but how have you managed to pay 12.8 for 80 chips ?
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 15, 2013, 10:49:53 AM
Well, the joke is you still have to supply your own PSU. And not only that, you'll also need to supply your own power supply on switch since the miner won't do it itself, apparently.

You use the on/off button on the PSU and attach one of these to the ATX plug, they are $1-$2 on ebay or make yourself

911  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.1, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: September 12, 2013, 08:00:44 PM
Tigggger:

Thanks, I'll look into this. You're not setting any pools in the config file, correct? It's probably just a matter of CGWatcher applying the arguments to the config file twice for some reason, which then adds the pools twice. While it shouldn't hurt anything, it isn't the expected behavior so I'll correct this in the next update.

Correct, just from the arguments box.  Like I said everything runs fine and it's never caused an issue and it's always done this through various versions, just thought you'd like to know.
912  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.1, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: September 12, 2013, 01:22:56 PM
This doesn't cause me any problems but thought I would point it out, as I always end up with duplicate pools

All my settings are in a scrypt.conf file as they are always the same (no pools listed), I then use the arguments option to set the pools for each coin profile so for example for the middlecoin profile I have

Code:
-o stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333 -u x -p x -o stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.in:7777 -u x -p x -o stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.in:7777 -u x -p x

But when I go to the pools tab it always shows as follows with 2 entries for each.

913  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Brand new 4-module Avalon clones doing 100+ Ghash/s on: September 02, 2013, 07:14:05 PM
I would not necessarily buy at this price but:

$4500

Figures:  Difficulty 85M Electricity .10 Pool 2% price $5000 no other fees

In April 2013 the buyer would have a $900 profit.  Anything above $4500 leaves nothing serious on the table for the buyer and all of the profit goes to the maker of the equipment.  So at $4500 for immediate delivery is where I would be looking.

I'd agree with that, but just for the chips is 320 @ 0.078 = BTC24.96 = $3620, so can't see them being profitable to make at a price where both parties are happy.

I have an unpowered one still sealed in the packet (bought a few extra as they are hard to get hold of sometimes).

Make me an offer can get it in the post today.

It will be necessary to trick the power supply to turn on by jumping the right pins. We are looking at possible solutions for this and we will provide more information as soon as possible.

Just type "ATX Bridging Plug" into ebay, loads of them for about $2 bit safer than the paperclip trick.
916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 28, 2013, 07:31:45 PM
Are we expected to do the paperclip trick?

I'm sure that will be revealed later, plenty of premade ones on ebay for £1.50 / $2 just search "ATX Bridging Plug" I have one already from an old watercooling kit.

*Caution* KNC Genie inside!

Funny, but here in the UK governement funded people would ban that for not having an accurate warning, and also for not actually having a genie. (No sense of humour is mandatory for getting the job)

On the other hand...

KNCminer, on-time, over-spec.  *Enjoy*

I like that, and the bonus is if they do to, and it goes on the boards they'll HAVE to deliver on time (they are already over spec)
919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: August 27, 2013, 08:37:54 AM
If you can't handle a few substandard payouts you should either move on or offer something constructive.

Exactly.

For the last 28 days the average payout has been 263.46% Spreadsheet Here this is based on the actual amount received

YipYip, because there are multiple coins and some take days to mature and be sold, adding those 3 columns together gives you an idea of a daily rate but you really need to give it time to settle down and evaluate over a longer period of time using the amount received.

As I've said before it is highly likely that using something like CGWatcher and spending time adding new coins, transferring and selling them will be more profitable but from past experience of doing that, the gains compared to the time spent for me isn't worth it.

got an idea guys, click on Bitsyncom's trust and give him a poor review:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=68196

it'll look like this: http://imgur.com/q58JdcB

Which highlights how dumb the feedback system is, as on my screen it shows the following, which gives no indication that this is someone to avoid, or that lots of negative feedback has been left.
