^^^^^^^^ I see a wide range on my miners as well. I wouldn't worry too much short term but if it continues, well...

It's been horrendous the past few days. Looks like today's going to be a good day in the pool.

Really? I'm looking at another below LTC/BTC payout again today unfortunately for my 4 MH. We've been mining FTC for a good portion of the day and I'm not sure where they are being sold or how many confirms are needed by the pool and then the exchange but that could have something to do with it. My immature unexchanged amount doesn't seem to be growing that much and my other amounts aren't growing very much at all. Without being able to see the block stats, how many we have hit etc, it's hard to determine exactly what has happened the past few days. Have we just been unlucky or do we have a large amount of coins waiting to be sold by H2O's trading bot? I had a few days on multipool of mining/trading for .22 BTC per day, averaging around .14 BTC per day. I'm getting .05-07 for the past couple of days since I switched back here....

This is exactly my concern during last few days. And it looks like today's payout won't be that fantastic either.

I'm looking at a payout of 0.05 today if everything goes right--almost half is in the "immature unexchanged" though.

I did notice that the pool switched to at least two different coins this morning (I'm in southern california).
http://dustcoin.com/miningThis says that Litecoin, Feathercoin, Novacoin, and BBQCoin are all pretty close to each other.

There are probably some external issues effecting the returns these last few days.
BTC/USD seems to be trending up.
XXX/BTC seems to be generally lower.
I would think this pools profits depend -to some extent- on holders of BTC willingness to speculate on alt coins?
There has been some activity on the cryptsy LTC market lately and LTC is seems to be low atm.
Would it be possible to add payouts in LTC if there is enough interest?

One of the attractions of the middlecoin pool is the simplicity. Adding LTC as a payment option defeats the purpose of the pool. If you are going to mine LTC, do it on other LTC mining pools yourself, no need to join middlecoin.

Middlecoin has been terrible for the past 3 days - lower returns than LTC. What gives ?

Today's payout was 0.0218 MH/s per day
LTC profitability is 0.0215
So we're just above LTC.

Don't worry about it, this isn't a debate. It was simply a suggestion directed to H20 as an option, albeit one he has likely already considered to either have merit or not. If you can't handle a few substandard payouts you should either move on or offer something constructive.

Does this take in to account rejected shares? On that calculation, I should have been paid 0.0872 from my 4MH but I only received 0.06550504. Is some of that difference tied up in immature unexchanged amount? If this is the case then I'm being paid a bit less than I would mining LTC direct as the pool I use, I get less than 1% stales and rejects combined. I know it's only a couple of $, but I don't have a huge farm and every $ counts.

Can we get a confirmation of the meaning of the numbers
Immature Unexchange vs Unexchanged balance vs Balance
Just to confirm should we be adding all these sums together for our result ?
I.E If we started @ the beginning of the cycle and at the end the number said
0.5 IU / U 0.5 / 1.0 B = 2.0 BTC for that cycle ??
So in a way even if your payout was 1 bt you actually have another 1.0 btc in the pipe ...If this is correct it may help others understand there payout figure...

Exactly. For the last 28 days the average payout has been 263.46% Spreadsheet Here this is based on the actual amount received YipYip, because there are multiple coins and some take days to mature and be sold, adding those 3 columns together gives you an idea of a daily rate but you really need to give it time to settle down and evaluate over a longer period of time using the amount received. As I've said before it is highly likely that using something like CGWatcher and spending time adding new coins, transferring and selling them will be more profitable but from past experience of doing that, the gains compared to the time spent for me isn't worth it.

The best numbers to look at are your balance, which you will be paid at 7:30 PST, and your Paid Out, which is the sum of all your payouts. The balance is the only number I look at when computing the profits that I post in this thread. All the other columns are estimates. Unexchanged Balance is the estimated value of all your coins that are pending exchange. Immature Unexchanged Balance is your balance in immature coins. You can look at these columns to see more recent info about your profits, at the expense of inaccuracy. If you add up all four columns, that will give you an estimate of the total amount you've mined. If you want an estimate of your profits in one day, you can add up all four columns, wait a day, add them up again, and take the difference. The advantage to looking at this number instead of your payout is that it reflects all mining done in the past day.

If you flip a quarter 50x you can expect that you will get heads 25x and tails 25x. If you got heads 49x, you can reasonably expect that over the next hundreds/thousands/millions you will end up getting more tails than heads because statistically they should be about equal.
No. That is 100% wrong. Over the next hundreds/thousands/millions you would reasonably expect to get equal numbers of heads and tails. A coin has no memory.

No. That is 100% wrong. Over the next hundreds/thousands/millions you would reasonably expect to get equal numbers of heads and tails. A coin has no memory. What is likely to happen is the 49x heads (ridiculous odds) become insignificant as you reach something like 500,049 heads vs 500,000 tails (~50/50) with a very reasonable variance. of course now you have to question if the series MUST start with 49x heads.. OK kidding.

As per my example starting from a zero state at the start of the cycle you DO add all the columns to see your total amount of mining for that day... As time goes on the total payout should start to reflect this summed value as you then get all variations of the payment types maturing ..I think I started on middlecoin @ probably one of the worst times since its been going ...lolz (murphys law) This current cycle is looking to be a healthy ~2.0+/- btc this is a great result Edit So ~2.0 turned into 1.4 lolz ..oh well its still better than the last 3 days Edit 2 : 1.21 BTC :/
