924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 16, 2023, 11:51:42 PM
But its not bad trying to throw the advice outside maybe some of the addicts can still grow a mind from the constant advice given that can help them withstand this habit of theirs and moreover I have seen someone who have discipline himself to actually reduce his gambling act because of the huge losses and problems he had to encounter.
The real problem is how to convince the addict that he is suffering from addiction problems!
Most of the people who have gambling problems that I have met (as I said in another reply) don't realize they are sick and when you tell them that they need help, they refuse to accept the truth. They will tell you that everything is under control while it's not. Recognizing the issue and embrassing the sad truth is the most important step toward recovery.
925  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: July 16, 2023, 11:24:09 PM
But most users are not very honest so that the casino freezes more users' money trying to launder money through the casino, many cases that I often encounter on this forum also the casino will ask for an explanation of where the funds are used also ask the user to verify to validate that the user clean.
I always wonder, if the casino really cares about AML policies and want to comply with regulations and if they really want to prevent illigal activities such as money laundry then why they don't enforce kyc on registration before making any deposit. By doing this, no user will complain about being cheated.
The wagering requirement is a totally different matter. It's main purpose is to make the customer lose as much as possible and there is nothing wrong about that, BTW. Just my opinion.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 16, 2023, 10:39:06 PM
..
I think you didn't understand what he said. He isn't talking about the phases you mentioned and how to become an addidct. He is rather taking about levels of addiction. In other words, the gravity of seriousness of he case. Some people are more addict than others and the more serious the case is, the harder it will be to recover from it.
Anyway, imo, the first step in recovery is to admit being an addict. Most addicts deny it and refuse to accept the truth that everyone else sees.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 16, 2023, 09:53:56 PM
You can't rely on a game of chance as your main or major source of income. This is the worst decision you would make. I would understand it if you were talking about games where skills may give you some advantage, like poker and other card games. However, even if you have the required skills and master the game, you should never make it your main source of income because the results will not please you.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: July 16, 2023, 09:22:41 PM
For the rich and wealthy, gambling could easily be something done out of fun or leisure but, when it comes to people who see it for a means of earning there daily bread, it easily feels like an only chance or means to a survival.
Sorry if I didn't get this right, but are you suggesting that reach people are more immune for addiction? If my interpretation is right then I have to disagree with what you said. I don't have exact numbers but I believe it's actually the opposite which is right. Wealthy people are more prone to all kinds of addiction not only gambling addiction. They spend more time playing because they can afford to do so which makes them subject to addiction and they won't realize it till they start running out of money.
929  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: July 15, 2023, 11:57:20 PM

In your last statement in which I bold caught my attention. There's a slight difference between gaming and gambling thou people use it interchangeably and synonymously without regarding their differences. Gaming is for entertainment while gambling has to do with expecting something in return. Of course, there's a consequences attached to both with different class of damage associated with each. For the former is emotional damage while the latter is faced with financial and emotional damage.
You nailed it right. There is a difference between online games and gambling. I think this is why there are many different opinions although the answer to OP's question is simple: if you won't lose money or any thing valuable(aside from your pride) then it doesn't qualify as gambling. It's as simple as that.
But I don't agree with you latest statement. Gambling is not about the reward but rather about what's on stake.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 15, 2023, 11:32:42 PM
The guy wasn't able to control his urge to gamble and the family let him go abroad to work so that he earns money and use it all in gambling, that's a great solution indeed. They shouldn't have let him go until he was completely okay and has left gambling, he would obviously not be able to get rid of it when he is away from the family, living alone with no one around to even care about what he does and what he doesn't, he would definitely gamble in such a situation.
Aren't you contradicting yourself here! First, you said it's OK if his family let him go away then you said they shouldn't have done so because he will lack family support and he will continue gambling.
Maybe I interpreted your comment wrongly, anyway, in my onion, a gambling a gambling addict needs to stay close to his family and keep close contact with them. Your family/relatives will always support you and guide you to the right path, so, never lose contact with them.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 15, 2023, 11:08:55 PM
Thanks to the experts who gave those tips, but according to my experience, your ability to stop gambling depends on whether you are a new gambler and are playing fir fun or you are an addict who can't control himself.
If you are an addict then nothing of the advices you have provided would help except seeking professional help.
Addicts can't even recognize that they are have addiction problems. They need someone to support them and tell them what they need to do.
932  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where should I play? Asking for recommendations. on: July 15, 2023, 10:40:32 PM
Sine it's impossible to win on Slots & BJ on Stake.. its not an option, but since they had their good monthly bonus so I always got back some money is the reason I did choose and was loyal to Stake.
Maybe other members have suggested some good casinos but I want to address the above: why do you think it's impossible to win on sportsbettngs and BJ on Stake? It doesn't make sense! The result of those games are not controlled by the casino, so your chances of winning will not change if you move to another casino. Or, are you talking about the odds? Stake is one, if not the best, casinos out there.
Regarding kyc, any licensed casino will ask you to verify your identity sooner or later.
933  Economy / Gambling / Re: ❤️ BitcoinCasino.to - Guide & Reviews - 1400+ Crypto Casinos List on: July 15, 2023, 09:23:05 PM
For students, I have more interesting information that will help them. Since we are always in need of money, you should visit the online casino, there is..

Sorry for being brutally honest, bitcasino.to. But this looks bad. You are addressing the speech to students, so you need to use you instead of we. Saying that you are in need of money doesn't look good and makes you less credible. Just a friendly advice: replace "we" in the above quoted sentence with "" you". Am not an English native speaker, but this is how I interpreted it.
934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 14, 2023, 11:27:41 PM
...
I don’t really follow through on OP talking about odds on slot machines. Sometimes, you just want to test your stars and see if you would be thankful in the end.
I agree with all you have said except the part I quoted. I think you misunderstood what OP said. He didn't say that the gambler's gender can affect the results of a game or affect the odds. What he meant to say is that women can control their emotions and can stop playing when they need to unlike men. According to him, this gives women an advantage over men.
I don't agree what he said, BTW.
935  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Idmining.com is hellish scammer on: July 14, 2023, 10:55:22 PM
I'm really sorry for your loss OP! But I can't understand how can, you guys, invest such huge amounts so easily without doing a proper research.
They scammed you for 28k the first time, I can understand that. But didn't you think that something was not right when they asked you to invest another 28k and buy a second contract! Are there anything on their terms saying that you have to do so in order to withdraw your money! I don't think so.
936  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Iceriver.io Review of SCAM website on: July 14, 2023, 10:23:34 PM
..
UPS! Someone from iceriver.cn.com is rly mad I see, it will be nice to see some evidence of your purchase and some screenshots maybe!
Sorry, I'm not sure if I understood this correctly. Do you mean OP works or is behindiceriver.cn.com the clone/fake website you exposed on this topic? Why did he create this topic in your opinion?
Anyway, OP should provide some evidences (like the payment transaction ID) if he wants his accusation to be taken seriously.
937  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GG.BET scam on: July 14, 2023, 09:53:36 PM
Honestly i can't understand the rate newbies are reporting for scam these days after all they have been always going after is these bounty chase for possible quick means of making money, or is it that the established members were using alts to lodge in those accusations not wanting their main account to get noticed on that.
This is irrelevant, tbh. The rank of the accuser doesn't mean much and it doesn't change anything. What matters are the proofs and evidences presented to support the accusation.
OP didn't provide any evidence to support his claims, not even a screenshot for his conversation with the customer support. I strongly advice him and any other member who wants to make an accusation to follow the proper format.
938  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: July 13, 2023, 11:59:47 PM
Till now I don't understand what a web3 casino means!
What's the difference between a web3, as you say, and a web 3 casino?
The only difference that I have noticed that on a web3 casino you can register with your web3 wallet. What are the other differences? Can any one explain to us what is a web3 casino? From there, we can discuss why we prefer web3 or web2 casinos.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 13, 2023, 11:38:22 PM

There is no differences. There is a funny saying, you have been on this forum for do long so I suppose you have heard it, it says: "there is no women on the internet". When you register on a gambling platform, no one is going to judge you based on your gender. It's your decisions (bets) which are going to determine how how big your balls are.
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 13, 2023, 11:14:12 PM

It's called beginners luck. Some believe in it some don't. It's when a beginner doesn't know the game and what the rules are but decides to place a bet. There is no logical explanation, but most of the times, bets placed by those beginners wins, most of the times. This is why it's called beginners luck.
