921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop discouraging people from Bitcoin... on: October 03, 2023, 03:40:25 PM
Through the years I spent my time in this community, I never read such words and no one in his right mind will ever say that to someone who politely asks some questions regarding bitcoins. most users will actually answer those questions honestly with their concern especially when they want to prevent them from getting hacked or scammed, by giving them the necessary basic information about bitcoins. making this community the best of all others because when someone wanted to troll and answer differently, they are quickly exposed and the OP most likely ended up satisfied with the answers by the veteran members here.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 03, 2023, 02:51:06 PM

Going back to the Tapales, the only thing I heard is that he should used his awkwardness if there is as such tactic in boxing. And be somewhat unpredictable so that Inoue will somewhat be confused. But I don't see it enough to upset the monster. Unless Tapales landed a perfect punch and then Inoue can't recover from it. The only one that can beat Inoue here is himself, if he slacks on training and underestimated Tapales.

I don't really think Tapales is capable of beating Inoue even to survive up to the last round is a miracle for him because he is too slow for Inoue and he will take those power punches as if he is a punching bag. looks like he will be just like Charlo when he fights Canelo, he will just try to survive unless he has the power to shake Inoue but in reality, he does not and it might be just an easy win for Inoue, easier when he beats Fulton. If only Casimero holding those belts, it would be a fight of the year when they finally meet against each other inside the ring.
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: October 03, 2023, 02:08:11 PM
Knowledge is more important, IMO.  Since knowledge gives us certainty over things, it is the motivating factor that drives us to HODL certain investment.  Without knowledge we will never have the courage to hodl.  Yes we can invest even without sufficient knowledge about the asset, but we will be easily shaken by FUD and bad news which will end up being a weak hand and sells all our investment at once.  Without knowledge we can easily succumb to manipulation making us sell easily.

That's why it is always recommended to do your own research before investing because lots of those blind followers are just relying on YouTube influencers which they regret because the promotions were just cherry-picking and they didn't tackle the bad side of the project. When they realized that they were fooled, it was already too late because the price of the altcoins was already below their capitals and others were made to believe that the price would pump up again which was not really the case and they ended up losing all their capitals because they actually believed other lies.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: October 03, 2023, 01:40:10 PM
Honestly, this looks like a hard fight for Ryan Garcia because, after his loss to Davis, he really needs to train even more and go into intensive training so that next time he won't have any problem taking huge power punches from his opponent. especially when you need to fight someone with this record and with that knockout percentage, surely he will take some knockout punches and he surely needs to tank a couple of those, or else he will suffer the same fate as he suffered on Davis before.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of NFTs have a market cap of zero on: October 03, 2023, 01:10:54 PM
As most of the veteran investors predicted, it will be no value in the future because simply there are too many of it and anyone can easily make it and sell it making others that are hard to make become rusty because they are just shown off to a small amount of potential buyers. It was the same scenario when altcoins were first introduced to the public and guess what happened back then? lots of people create their altcoins and they fooled a lot of people making it one of the most untrusted eras in the crypto industry because lots of people lose their money.
926  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will The USD (and military) remain a Global force for at least 5 more years? on: October 02, 2023, 03:54:03 PM
Honestly, 5 years is not that long and of course, there will be lots of crazy things that will happen but I hope another national war is one of them because we cannot afford to see such war again especially when the US is involved against another big-time country. it will only result in bad things and the ones who will suffer the most are the civilians on both sides. As I can see right now, USD is still dominant and hasn't been experiencing a huge crash even in the middle of the pandemic and it will surely survive in the next 5 years with being one of the top currencies of the world.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquaio vs Mayweather 2 rematch on: October 02, 2023, 02:13:06 PM
This kind of rumor is easy to believe because it can be true since we all know when those two boxers get inside the ring, they won't just get there to fight, they get there to make some huge money. I think they will somehow make it happen next year since both fighters are still active in exhibition fights. it could be best for them to make it happen since their popularity is still there and people won't gonna accuse it scripted when they fight inside the ring. they need to settle it once more and more likely for me, the result is still the same because Manny is now slower than before and Mayweather needs to do is strengthen his defense which is not really a big problem for him.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: October 02, 2023, 01:28:11 PM

Money does not belong to you if you do not have control over it. You are mistaken if you think you can trust someone with your money. If you can leave your money on a gaming website, that means that the gambling website is in charge of it and you are not. Your money will be lost along with the gambling website if anything were to happen. No gambling site is too big to be hacked, and nobody is promising you a refund if something bad occurs to the gambling site. It's not a good idea to save money on your gambling website because that's not why they are created.

There's a saying in crypto if it's not your wallet, then it's not your bitcoin. as simple as that because they all have the means to control the funds on their exchanges. As for gambling sites, I think they will simply use your money to pay for others because they don't have any problem making you see the amount you have in your account while they actually using it on their sites. But the problem is when they run into some serious problem they need to close their site temporarily and don't have any exact time to make it available for their users again. honestly, you won't be having any piece when that happens because most of those scenarios are not real because what is real is, that they are just running away with your money.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Educate yourself to be a frugal gambler on: October 02, 2023, 12:56:51 PM
That's a horrible story and I thought people only compromise their funds, not others when they are carried away to play more even though it's not making sense anymore to gamble the last money they had. I never thought someone could even spend their children's money just to fill the void of their addictions. well, that's the reason why you should really consider stopping when things are not right anymore when you play because the more you insist on staying, the more it gets worse and you might go to do the same scenario as the others.
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs the government on: October 02, 2023, 12:10:33 PM
I don't really think that the government has some kind of grudge against bitcoins rather someone is behind the ban and probably paying them for not making bitcoins available in their country. thankfully in our country, they are just being neutral and taking advantage of the local exchange taxes which is not that bad because we can freely use bitcoins and also can decide to accept them as payment in our stores. In some cases, others are taking advantage of it in a bad way where they used bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies as props for their Ponzi Scheming.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of social media channels on: October 02, 2023, 11:40:46 AM
I mean it's a good tool but people rely too much on these social media channels only.  It's definitely useful to know what's going on day in day out but it can skew you the wrong way too.  I've had situations where I was planning on buying a coin but saw the toxic community on a particular outlet and never bought in.  Huge opportunity loss once that coin pumped.

Most likely when the manager cannot handle well their members, investors always find it as a red flag and will never make it a good reason to invest in such a project. because it should always be normal to consider we have a friendly social media manager before even starting research about the project we are about to invest in. After we have someone who can easily answer our questions, we can proceed to research the project and know the team behind it.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 01, 2023, 12:06:04 PM

Could be better if he will retire already. He has one heck of a career during his prime years with the Clippers. But he is also a case wherein a injury can ruin someone's career. He was a high flyer during his prime and one of the best dunkers we have seen, he is very athletic when he started his career. Unfortunately, it was just pure show during the Clippers with him and CP3 and a prime DJordan. Wasn't enough to be in the finals in the West.

He will always be remembered as one of the great dunkers in NBA history because of those explosive dunks and posterizers he made during his prime and to consider retiring this year is not a bad idea. if only injury hadn't struck him in his early NBA career, he could become a threat and probably brought the Clippers to the NBA finals and competed for the championship but they were always left behind and lost in the NBA playoffs even with CP3 with them. nevertheless, if he is still healthy this season, he could be a big help for Celtics but I guess that's not the case anymore.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: October 01, 2023, 11:31:37 AM
We have been observing similar trends in so many things namely altcoins, hype projects, memecoins, field farming and so on with more innovative names to up in the near future. The investors need to identify them early to avoid investment or if they do invest, get out early to minimise losses. Without that insight they are losing and will continue to lose coins from borderline scams like these.

I think we are at a stage where even background checks on teams and reviewing the papers is misleading and the way to be safe from scams is to not look at anything that is non-bitcoin.

Sometimes even if you already know the team behind it and they are transparent and also always have AMA with their investors, when their plan fails and they don't get enough funds to develop the project which were stated in their roadmaps, you end up wasting your money because after that all you will get is false promises from those bastards. They are not fair enough to return the money of their investors but instead, they are planning to make it seem they are cooking something that will make their project successful which is not really true at all.
934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: October 01, 2023, 11:02:31 AM

Though the possible fight with Casimero has him as the challenger, it would be more attractive if they could bring this fight to the US. More audience means more money, and if Inoue really wants to become more popular, he should consider fighting more in the US.

That's the only fight if he wins, he will no longer be doubted by all of the fans because he will just simply prove himself as the best boxer he really is, opposite to whatever Casimero is claiming. I doubt that he will accept the fight in the US because it won't be that good and it should be in Japan because that was what Casimero was saying back then. he even fights Inoue in Japan even if the referee is his father. That would be a great challenge for Casimero, I really hope to see that fight after Inoue is done against Tapales.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin. on: October 01, 2023, 10:30:28 AM
Most of all, the best stories from those who invested early are the most inspirational for me because of them I made my own journey years ago and so far I get a decent amount of money especially in the time of bull run last time. Bitcoin stories are real and at the same time you need to make sure that you are not making mistakes by not reading all the necessary procedures to protect your bitcoins because it will be over for you with just slight mistakes like not paying attention to the BTC address you are sending to, like for example when sending BTC to your personal wallet you need to double check it because there are some tricks of the hacker when they compromised your computer and whenever you copy paste the BTC address you ended up pasting their BTC address instead. others have fallen into this trap by merely rushing and not paying attention when they send BTC.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 29, 2023, 12:16:28 PM
America cannot ban gambling, as they generate significant tax revenue from a billion-dollar industry. Major sports like MLB, NFL, NBA, and others are responsible for a large portion of these bets, and it benefits the government to allow more gambling sites to operate legally. As long as proper tax enforcement is implemented, there's little chance they will consider banning the entire gambling industry.

It's really hard to ban those gambling operators that are currently paying their taxes well and you can see that there are lots of them remaining though they were allowed only in the time of the pandemic. especially in another 3rd world country where taxes are important, that's why as of now when you try to browse Facebook by watching reels you often see their ads and they are allowed to operate because the government has already approved it. I think it is because they cannot afford to lose the money they were receiving from those operators and they even allowed it until now.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Changed My Life 👨‍💻 on: September 29, 2023, 11:41:43 AM
I think the Author of this thread wanted to highlight to us the fact when you invest in bitcoins at the wrong time, you will lose most of your capital because the price will greatly decrease if you end up investing when the crypto market is about to go bearish. But the good thing is, you still have your money and you can wait for it and leave it right there because the chance to get back your money is still possible even though you don't do anything about it. I have a friend who left his BTC out there after the price crash way back in 2018 and managed to multiply after he decided to withdraw in the last ATH of the Bitcoin price.
938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 29, 2023, 11:02:46 AM

Which is why Canelo is highly favored in this fight. And Charlo is not just moving up 1 division but 2 divisions north. Another thing is Charlo's over a year of inactivity. Normally, stars will take a tune-up fight after a long layoff or when moving up in weight but this one is different. The money is just too hard to refuse so Charlo has to take the challenge.

Charlo might be sluggish in this fight and it spells disaster as he can be easily cornered by Canelo who likes to fight someone who is flat-footed so he can unleash his deadly power punches.

Just like most people said, this will be an easy fight for Canelo and he shouldn't be slacking on this one because if he loses the fight, it will be disastrous and shameful for him. imagine losing to a guy who is not that active and came to their weight division just to finish him off. neither both boxers underestimates their opponent but whoever wants to win this fight, better to practice and work hard because this is a lifetime opportunity, especially for Charlo, he should be motivated by being the underdog in this fight.
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Vs legit Altcoins in 2023 on: September 29, 2023, 10:20:50 AM

To the above we can add the rather low cost of meme coins/tokens in relation to “classic” altcoins. A very clear example of dishonest behavior by a meme coin developer is the example of PEPE. There is an opinion that the PEPE developer artificially influences the coin rate by buying or selling large volumes of tokens through dummies. Just yesterday, one of the users purchased PEPE in the amount of 390 ETH and several other users bought over a trillion PEPE.

It's because there are no sane people who will buy such coins because they really have no value to the world, in have no contribution to anything just a mere meme coin. that's why they are the one who needs to move and make a quick plan in order to fool their investors. the only people you see buying such coins are risk takers who know when to quickly sell back their coins when something goes wrong, that's why when you are a newbie, you better buy such high-risk coins in order to save your capital.
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 28, 2023, 02:46:22 PM
It's a jackpot deal for the Bucks, and I think no one expected this outcome of the Lillard drama. Lillard is probably more than happy with this deal because he will play for a team that can really contend for the title. By the way, it's also worth noting that the Bucks not only got Lillard but also potentially retained Giannis, who earlier said that he might leave the Bucks.
As for Middleton's role, he will most likely be SG in the starting lineup. There is no need for the Bucks to put him on the bench.

Now the Bucks should prove their domination in the early stage of the season because they are now most likely the number one team who will dominate the Eastern Conference. Well, that was a real blockbuster trade, I felt bad for Jrue Holiday but that's just the way it is. he just needs to make sure that he will give his best in playing with another team right now to make them realize they let go of the key player who can truly help them to get back to compete for the NBA championship, he should not let this event bring him down, after all he still got the money.
