921  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2FA Recovery Code on: March 29, 2023, 04:44:23 PM
I'm not talking from experience here but it looks like they don't have that. Instead, they have the "Master key"[1] which is another password that should help you recover your 2FA[2]. So just make sure to add it to your account, and you should be fine.

Thanks a million my friend.

i m feeling very relaxed. but could you tell me where can i read more about this function.

Check this article[1] and just to be sure, you can check your change addresses using Electrum[2][3] if you want since Trezor suite doesn't show them.

I sent 0.03 BTC to my binance address. This went smoothly. but to my shock there was one more transaction created along with this transaction with BTC 1.06 going to another address.

Do you mean there's another address in the same transaction or a completely new transaction with another ID?

If the former, then it's probably a change address that also belongs to your wallet. It's nothing to be worried about.
924  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / ZK-proof on Bitcoin on: March 28, 2023, 11:53:58 AM
So in the last week, two companies released the first-ever (mainnet) Zero-knowledge solutions to help scale Ethereum (L2s).

Today, one of these companies announced that they will be using that technology for bitcoin as well so I'd like like to get your thoughts on this:

“It's very much in the prototype stage,” ZeroSync co-founder Robin Linus told CoinDesk. “But the grand vision is that you download that one megabyte of proof and that is as good as if you had downloaded the 500 gigabytes.”
.....
Light clients or simple payment verification (SPV) nodes have always existed on the Bitcoin blockchain. In fact, Satoshi Nakamoto mentioned the concept in his original whitepaper. They are critical for small devices like mobile phones that can’t download the entire blockchain.
“It is possible to verify payments without running a full network node,” Satoshi wrote. "Verification is reliable as long as honest nodes control the network, but is more vulnerable if the network is overpowered by an attacker.”

ZeroSync goes a step further by verifying transactions via cryptographic proof rather than merely trusting honest nodes as suggested by Satoshi.

This should also help with other use cases:

A fully functioning zk-proof mechanism can be used to enable a wide range of applications outside of the flagship node syncing use case. ZeroSync has created a developer tool kit to enable applications like proof-of-reserves on exchanges and transaction history compression on second layer protocols like Lightning Labs’ Taro.

White label:

https://learn.bybit.com/bybit-cloud/best-white-label-crypto-exchange-solutions/

926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: USD Banking for businesses on: March 28, 2023, 09:10:38 AM
This should be what you're looking for[1]

- Cross River Bank: Coinbase is one of their clients.
- BCB Group: working with Gemini, Crypto.com, and Kraken
- Customers Bank (Although there's nothing about the clients, it looks like they provide crypto solutions[2]])

The article also mentions "Jewel bank" which I remember coming across a not long time ago, but I'm not sure if it provides what you're looking for.

927  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Telegram-Bot] BitnewsNotifier on: March 28, 2023, 08:38:55 AM
I still can read the news without login and joining your telegram.

what API did you use?
can you make a filter language?,
maybe if I join your telegram, I can control on what I want to receive news from my local language only, not in global as it is now.

thanks.

You can read the news without joining the channel, but you won't receive any updates unless you subscribe to it.

Which API do you mean? If you're referring to communicating with telegram API, then I'm using telegram-bot-python.

As for the language filter, then could you please elaborate? If you want to receive news in certain languages, then that's obviously doable however, the sites I'm currently watching do not support languages other than English (or at least most of them don't). It would help if you could mention a few reputable sites you know, so that I can add them.

I kind of agree, but at the same time, the collapse of Binance (the way FTX did) would probably send us back to the stone age. I can only imagine how the regulators would try to restrict us afterward.

It looks like there is currently some speculation that they might up end shutting down their operations in the US(Binance.us) as part of a settmenent[1]

I think you're referring to the copper membership[1] which you can find here[2]

Or by going to MORE (near the logout button) -> Buy copper membership).

After that, you just need to upload the image somewhere and post the link between img tags, like this:

This is probably a good time to stay away from the platform or at least its token which doesn't seem to have been affected by the news.

Who’s in Chicago?

The complaint notes that a VIP team member contacted Zhao regarding a “Chicago-headquartered trading firm.”

VIP team member: Hi CZ . . . I went through list of affected API clients, it includes a number of large strategic accounts including [a Chicago-headquartered trading firm] who is currently is a top 5 client and 12% of our volume

Zhao: Give them a heads up to ensure they don’t connect from a us Ip. Don’t leave anything in writing. They have non us entities. Let’s also make sure we don’t hit the biggest market makers with that email first. Do you have signal?”

all staffs who were wearing mixers signatures stopped at same week and did not try to join any other mixing predictions campaign, so did I miss something?
Who? I only found OmegaStarScream, and he's now avoiding mixers and gambling altogether. That doesn't leave much else to advertise.

We (staff) were asked to stop advertising mixing services.

As for gambling services, then that's simply because of my religious beliefs.

936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Swapping BTC lightning for LTC on: March 26, 2023, 11:45:16 AM
Thanks for this information, I have used fixedfloat and I am okay with their service but I was not aware that OKX offers such service, please can you give me a guide on how to navigate OKX website to get to the point of instant swap?

There's no instant swap with OKX. It's a CEX, like Binance. So you need to:

Deposit your funds to the exchange's wallet -> wait for confirmations -> go to the trading page and create the order -> withdraw.

If you're interested in other instant exchanges, you can check this list (not all of them support LN though): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218464.0

-snip-

AFAIK, Thorswap doesn't support the lightning network. I'll also have to disagree about the costs. Since they have low liquidity, you usually find yourself dealing with very bad rates.

The math doesn't add up. How can you generate 50$ per day when you only have +10 downloads? Tongue
938  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance suddenly haults all crypto trading services on spot! on: March 24, 2023, 12:01:24 PM
I don't think this is something to be worried about. Not when the withdrawals are still being processed[1] anyway.

EDIT: ❌ It looks like both deposits and withdrawals are suspended now.

939  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Swapping BTC lightning for LTC on: March 24, 2023, 11:23:29 AM
Thank you both.
Which one of those has the lowest fees? (sometimes it is hard to find since they have a "hidden" fee with a crappy exchange rate)

I haven't checked each site but if I had to guess, I would say that OKX or any other CEX has lower fees because usually, instant exchanges get their liquidity from these exchanges, and then charge users a bit more.
940  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Swapping BTC lightning for LTC on: March 23, 2023, 09:00:12 PM
Changenow is fine but you should be ready to verify your identity if asked to.

Some alternatives:

- FixedFloat (another instant exchange)
- OKX. As of two days ago, you now need to pass level 1 verification which consists of providing some personal info (without submitting any documents).
