921  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take for CBDCs to become a reality? on: July 12, 2021, 06:25:32 PM

I wonder how long will it take for CBDCs to become a reality? Will it be decades or centuries from now? Do you think it's still too early for CBDCs to come into fruition? If not, why? What may be the cause for delaying the launch of the new digital Fiat system? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Multiple central banks are researching about CBDC and how they can successfully launch and you do not need a decade to see countries coming up with their digital fiat currencies, my expectation is that by the time of the next Bitcoin rally we might see the launch of CBDC by multiple major economies and that might drive the price of Bitcoin higher, hopefully that will be the fact  Cheesy.

If we take the financial aspect, then Shakib earns a lot more from franchise T20 leagues when compared to what he earns by playing for the Bangladesh national team. And along with Mustafizur Rahman, he was one of the top performing Bangladeshi players in the IPL. He is not going to lose anything if he announces his international retirement. Anyway, already he has been banned twice by the BCB, and they may also be happy about it. But the big question is whether anyone can replace Shakib in the national squad without weakening it.
There is no one in the the Bangladesh line up that could replace Shakib Al Hasan because he is a world class player that will fit in any team and he is best that Bangladesh ever produced and to replace him is a huge task. Yes he made money and even if he retires now he will be well off with playing franchise cricket until he is performing at the top but the fans might turn against him as Bangladesh have die hard fans.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 12, 2021, 01:15:53 PM
Sad for Kane, and sad for the rest of the England boys (literally, actually,,, the ones who missed the penalties were almost all boys especially Saka) I just hope this loss for them does not affect them into the season. It was not their fault, we all know penalties are lottery tickets and anyone can win and lose just by doing something different.
This was the best performance by England in a really long time and Harry Kane is the sole reason they were in the final and as expected they were not able to breach the defense of England and Italy also played an attacking game and you cannot say that penalties are lottery tickets as you need to give respect to the goal keeper who was instrumental during high  pressure situation and keeping up with their composure.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self-Proclaimed Satoshi Arrested Over Bitcoin Fraud on: July 12, 2021, 06:37:28 AM
On reading the headlines i thought Craig was caught as i know him to be the self proclaimed Satoshi  Cheesy So there are many so called scammers trying to use the name of Satoshi and making a fortune and i am glad all of these scammers are going to prison for a long time and get blacklisted to conduct any business, wish all the scammers rot in hell as i was also a victim of ICO scams in the market.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find good ICO's and new projects in general? on: July 11, 2021, 09:47:19 PM
most ICOs are scam, besides who is still chasing ICOS?
The market is repeating iteself, earlier it was known as ICO, now you can call it IDO, DEX market where scams are prevalent and mostly new users gets scammed, NFT etc, we will see more rehashes of the old scams and represents as new ones. Since there is no way you can get rid of scammers, all you can do is to avoid getting scammed.

The ICO were great in the beginning and now we cannot hear about them and there are many hyped up projects coming out in different names and i see them literally as pump and dump market.

926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why altcoins are rampant in the market on: July 11, 2021, 08:46:29 PM
~
Altcoins in the market rampant because right now it's too easy to make crypto, but I'm worried because this rampant will kill crypto slowly, and the thing that can be done is to do a strict selection of crypto that will be accepted by the market.
As if the earlier cryptocurrency was creating their own  Cheesy, majority of the cryptocurrencies in the market are a fork of Bitcoin and all they did is to change some updates in the name and the rest is copied from the Bitcoin code and still some of the coins are a billion dollar market. Right now the token market is the trend and anyone even without the slightest skills to edit the code and have no resources to spend money to maintain a network created tokens  Cheesy.
927  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why they get it all wrong when trading. on: July 11, 2021, 06:50:37 PM
~
Traders can't help it buts trust exchanges to help store their funds they used for trading but you should never over trust an exchange to keep all or very large amount of funds on them, if not you're doing it all wrong. If your trades has been very profitable, consider withdrawing some of the funds to your personal wallet as no exchange is hacked free, they can be hacked at any moment and you wouldn't want all your eggs to be exposed when the snake come attacking.
It is really important to find a trusted trading platform and even if i find a trusted exchange i will not trust them for holding my funds if i am not trading as we already saw dozens of so called trusted exchanges ceasing to exist.

Like I earlier said, traders should be self discipline, when a trader begin to become too greedy he or she is doing it all wrong. Profit taking is a key skill every trader should learn as it's very vital in becoming a successful trader.
Majority of the traders jumping into the cryptocurrency market move in expecting huge returns and you cannot call them greedy, if you ever invest in the market especially in the altcoin market understand the risk as only Bitcoin is the only coin that can benefit you in the long run.
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Difficulty Bomb Delayed Again on: July 11, 2021, 04:01:07 PM
~
This sucks real bad, since developers keep delaying ETH 2.0 after each upgrade. I know they want to make sure the new upgrade is as secure as possible before rolling it on "mainnet". But the many delays are making people desperate as the current implementation of the ETH blockchain becomes heavily congested. If this keeps up, Binance Chain or another competitor could take down ETH's position as the leader of the smart contracts industry.
There is nothing you can do about it, the upgrade will take a long time because any misstep and they are going to wipe out a huge market and hence they need to be careful with the upgrade as it is not that easy to migrate without proper testing. Binance and other chains had a good run because of the congestion in ETH and it will continue to help other projects.

I don't know if there will be another fight for him when he recovers and I will never doubt he could (I mean he got the money) but we know the mentality of McGregor and he's that persistent. Injuries are unexpected and I guess he gonna make a kick or want to back a little on that stunt but it happened already and congrats to those who bet to Dustin.
Dana White will put the fight together and that is a great excuse for the 4th fight and i am sure we will be seeing that in the future.

Here are the results and Dustin Poirier should get his due respect and at the end of the day the fans were cheering for him and if there is another fight it is good for Dustin Poirier as he will be earning the money he deserved Grin.

930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exiting altcoins at the correct time is the best thing you can do do with them. on: July 10, 2021, 08:52:25 PM
The sad truth about altcoins is that, out of the 10,000-15,000 altcoins in existence, only around 1% or 2% are going to survive in to the distant future. So if you want to make good profits from altcoin, you need to plan the exit strategy in advance for most of the coins. Long term hold may be risk with such cryptocurrencies. On my part, if an altcoin is outside the top-20 list in conmarketcap, then the maximum duration that I would hold is 12 months. If it has enough potential, it will break in to the top-20 by then. If not, it's time to get rid of it.
The only problem i find is finding promising projects before the hype and i missed out on a lot of projects because there are literally thousands of projects being announced and it is difficult to follow everything. From my bitter experience i had in the past i usually do not fall for the hype but this time around almost all of the coins rallied a lot and some turned over 1000% which is crazy and i am well aware that those projects will close their doors and move on once the money dries.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 July is going to big for btc price? on: July 10, 2021, 06:44:18 PM
^^ Many people followed his hype and started invested in cryptocurrency but he is making a mockery out of the entire situation, he profited huge in a short period and then his trolling started to take the market down and he did not care about other people who invested listening to his shilling. Stay away from self centered people like that.

I do not care if there is any substantial that is going to happen this 21st. Either way they might hype this up and make an announcement to hype the market which is highly likely as he might have invested heavily while shilling and correcting the market.
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who to Trust, Fiat Banks or BTC? on: July 10, 2021, 04:03:59 PM
When you need to send money, you are bound to go your banking account even when you want to purchase cryptocurrency, so i trust bank to an extent but i do not trust them with my data and i have no idea what they will be doing with the data they are collecting as a hack in the banking network or a rogue employ can always have your data.

The difference with the Bitcoin market is as long as we trust the developers there is nothing much to worry.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 10, 2021, 02:49:02 PM
From 89/3 to 127 all out and 4 overs left in the bank! just wow. This was one of the fine batting collapse in T-20 from bowling point of view and match winning come back from the windies after their poor power play display with the ball.
I am glad that i did not place a bet in the match, after West Indies scored 145 runs i did not consider them as a huge total to defend and i expected Australia to have the batting lineup to chase the score but then i saw the batting line up and the discussion here about the missing players and i thought to skip it and Australia messed up the chase completely.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT still hot??? on: July 09, 2021, 11:59:56 PM
NFT is still not at the level where we can use its full potential. The idea of being unique is the most valuable thing in almost any environment. NFT is not only interesting artwork, it can also be used in the form of title deeds, royalty, ID, etc. so yea, it's glowing.
What i truly cannot understand about NFT is that i have seen many digital art selling for millions and i cannot understand why someone would spend that much money for a digital artwork. I know you can sell them after if there are enough buyers but what happens if you are stuck with it and no one is willing to purchase that from you. If you have more than enough wealth then you could safe guard and showoff to others and i wont be spending money to get the art.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 09, 2021, 09:58:17 PM
^  The thing with McGregor is he doesn’t really have the gas tank to last the whole 5 rounds.  If the match goes deep to rounds 4 and 5, rest assured Poirier has the advantage.  I got Poirier but if Conor wins..?  It will mostly be before round 3 imho.
I remember two fights where Conor McGregor won when he got past the second round and that is against Max Holloway way back in 2013 and the next fight was against Nate Diaz in their second fight where he won a decision which was a 5 round fight and it was a really close fight, he does not have a history of winning fights after the second round and if Dustin Poirier is able to weather the first round then he will win the fight as i am expecting Conor McGregor to come out guns blazing power shots .
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some millionaires hate Bitcoin? on: July 09, 2021, 09:13:27 PM
Jealous from those lucky peps who made it and changed their lives after investing to Bitcoin.  Tongue Roll Eyes
The issue is that those millionaires might have made their money in wall street who played in the centralized market where they were able to control the market with their company inside information and when they see Bitcoin as a decentralized market they do not have a clue on where to start as they have no idea how to control a global market and that is the reason why several institutional institutions took a long time to dive into the cryptocurrency market.

Although Bangladesh's top order batsmen have failed miserably, Zimbabwe's top order batsmen are performing exceptionally well. Zimbabwe scored 219 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets. Really deserves praise. Although Brendan Taylor was out, he was able to add 81 runs to Zimbabwe's scoreboard. The match will be a draw.
Change of tide once again as Zimbabwe lost 8 wickets for 51 runs and they messed up the start they got, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up 9 wickets and when i saw that the game was played in spinning wickets of Bangladesh but they are visiting Zimbabwe and i am surprised that Zimbabwe choose to play on spinning wickets which is the strong point of Bangladesh.
938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 09, 2021, 12:21:14 PM
Pakistan played their previous series against weak Zimbabwe. They had an outstanding performance in every match against Zimbabwe and easily won almost all the matches. But now their opponent is strong England. Looking at the performance of the last match, one can easily guess how strong the Pakistan squad is. Only 141 runs were collected. England won the match in just 25 overs, losing just one wicket. Both the bowling and batting sides of Pakistan are weak now.
Pakistan needs to raise their standards, they are fully depended on Babar Azam and if he fails the entire team fails and their players needs to step up the competition and perform well if they need to give a fighting challenge, but the first one was an one sided affair and Pakistan had nothing to offer and the England players batted as if they were playing T20 Cheesy.

The issue is that the career of top athletes is very short, for example an accountant can still perform their job for 30 years so if there was some kind of world games for accountants then missing one edition would not be such a big deal, but when it comes to sports even the best athletes have a very short window of excellence and anyone that decides to not go because of the pandemic not only losses the opportunity, they may not reach the next games as there are always career ending injuries that could come to them or simply the drop on their performance could be huge even if they train extremely hard for this to not happen, so at the end athletes need to take the best decision for themselves no only on the short term but on the long term as well.
That is why i would like to see the Olympic taking place, but there are many athletes who trained their entire lifetime to get to the Olympics but missed out on qualification because many tournaments were cancelled in the past 1 year and the athletes who got qualified needs the platform to represent their skills as it is impossible to perform in optimal condition even if you are an elite athlete.
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 09, 2021, 08:38:50 AM
I was not expecting Bangladesh to post 468 runs after they lost 8 wickets for 270 runs, may be the pitch changed drastically after that as Zimbabwe also started strongly and Brendan Taylor is playing an anchor role and looks like he will be scoring a huge century as he is just 20 short of his century and he is in good flow and he is batting as if he owns the ground.
