Can you answer this so I set everything up right? On my server side with a dedicated IP address: For port 8332 which protocol (UDP or TCP) and which direction (Inbound or Outbound)?

LiteBit,
Which module are you using? Mine or Yurock's?
Yours. I think it's a port issue. My provider locks down ports unless I have a dedicated IP. I'm going to wait til that takes affect and try it once more with 8332 and 9332 open. Will let you know.

Check that RPC works: bitcoind getinfo
Add rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 You can leave rpcallowip with another address too.
What are the payment module settings?
Check OpenCart error log.
It looks like it's not talking back and forth. I run bitcoind getinfo and get a ping in the debug.log file, but when I run it through my OC module checkout I'm still getting errors. I'm going to run a curl script on it tonight and see what the hangup is. I'll try rpcallowip= as well... that could be the issue. Thx.

I'm having trouble getting this working. Any help?
Here's what I'm doing: I've got the module installed on my OpenCart (running 1.5.4) I've got version 0.7.2 of Bitcoin running on a local computer I've got a bitcoin.conf file in my User/AppData/Roaming/Bitcoin folder that looks like this:
rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=ip_address rpcport=9332 daemon=1 server=1 gen=0
My ip address in the above .conf file is my local computer's ip address which is a static ip address. I've got the module in OpenCart filed in with the above information I've got US Dollar set as my default currency and it's value set at 1.00000 I've got Bitcoin as a currency in my Localisation settings and it's value is set as 0.07042125
Ok, that's what I'm doing. The problem I'm getting is on testing the checkout functions. I put in a false order with a user I set up. I have the currency showing BTC. I get to step 5 of the checkout (payment method) with Bitcoin selected. I check my TOC box and click "Continue"... Problem #1: Nothing happens.
I click "Continue" a second time and I get a signal that it's processing the order On step 6 of the checkout (confirm order) I get what looks to be a summary of my order. Problem #2: About 10 seconds after this a message at the bottom of the order that says "Error communicating with payment provider. Please contact the store for assistance."
Questions: 1. Is it ok to have this pointing to a local computer or does it need to be on a server? 2. If it does need to be on a server how do I actually do that? Do I "install" bitcoin program somehow? 3. Can I have special characters %#@ in my RPC username and RPC password? 4. Should my bitcoin.conf file show my IP as 127.0.0.1 and my RPC host on the module in my OpenCart Admin show my actual IP of the computer?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Cheers, LiteBit

I'd like a LTC plugin for WordPress's WooCommerce. I'd integrate it into my clothing payment system, but at the same time I need an "instant" way to exchange those LTC's for PayPal so I can pay for the shirts that is(Printing company only accepts CC's & PayPal), kinda like BitInstant.. but.. LiteInstant?
I had a buddy modify his BTC WooCommerce plugin for Litecoin. http://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,936.msg4648.html#msg4648

This is a better explanation of what we're looking for with the bounties.
The API for the ticker we have seen but what we are really looking for is something that will catalog each day's (24hr) high and low and put that into a database (php) that will then give us a 7 day moving average (after 7 days of numbers has been compiled) that will determine out LTC/USD conversion rate for the store. We just don't know how to do this.
The bounty about adding unique addresses to customers orders is the really important automation we're missing. We already have a pre-generated list of Litecoin addys in a CSV file.
Scenario 1: We would like a button on our checkout page that says "generate address" and grabs the next LTC address from the file and give it to the customer BEFORE they complete the order. Then we won't have to send a follow-up email with the address on it.
Scenario 2: We have code written into our confirmation email generator that grabs the next LTC address in-line on the CVS file and passes that onto the customer on a clean invoice form that they can save for their records.

They're offering a $50 gift card (amazon/newegg) for anyone who can help them out with a couple things: https://litebit.co/bounty/$50 each 1. show a 5 day moving avg of btc-e LTC price in a banner at the bottom of the page 2. help them with automatically creating LTC address for sending payment to I'm sure someone here knows how to do that stuff... I sent them a message explaining how to do them both, and offering to do it for them if they still dont know how. Hope they choose me We emailed you back! Would love to get help with this.

Anyone interested in buying Gift cards with LTC? Amazon, Newegg, others? I'm thinking $10-$100 range to start.
Just do it - you can always sell for BTC as well. Some people are mining LTC uber aggressively so I'm sure you'll have some takers (let me know if you want / need a professional website as well) Thanks, What do you think of ours? https://litebit.co

Yeah, we've disabled our webminer on our website as well. Old tech now and the Java applet is a pain. Nobody wants to have a choice to enable it or not when visiting a site. More of a turnoff than benefit to a site.

That would help with the clutter. In the meantime, if it's Litecoin pools you're hoping to segregate the mods over at LitecoinTalk have everything organized much better.

It looks like a trend of everyone jumping on 1 cycle and then off 1 cycle
How will this end??..... and you mean HALF of everyone Making reasons to mine, hold, spend & buy Litecoin. Until then it's just gonna get action on 1 exchange.

there are some cards for sale over in the LitecoinTalk forum. 5970s and 6950s are my preference. And they are cheap now.

it's all well and good until it gets clogged with a bit of dust maybe they could rub some nano particles all over it so the dust just slides right off.

BrigitteLin vga7970x47(asus cu top, sapphire dualx, giga oc) total 12000w with 1000$usd/month electric bill 31,5ghash ...a bunch of crappy pictures of an awesome rig set up...That's pretty sick... Unfortunately I don't have a business to run my machine at, and anytime I've got more than 12 cards running, my AC & vacuum won't play nicely together. I'm almost afraid I'll start a fire one of these days... lol witherworth smiletyson: invest in a better camera with all the BTC that beast is generating!

Litecoin is the latest worthless alt-coin Pump & Dump being chased by the miners for a few extra bucks. It will fail just like the other two dozen "alt-coin" blockchains before it.
Litecoin has been around for over a year. Has outlasted multiple "alt-coin" blockchains that started in vain before it. Has outlasted multiple "alt-coin" blockchains since it. Has surpassed alts like NMC and SLC  in market value (not that that means much). Look, I'm an architect and the most important thing in designing buildings that last is a strong foundation. The Litecoin community has been methodically strengthening that base over the past year. Surviving potential 51% attacks, evolving from a purely CPU coin to mainly a GPU coin (still many of us boting w/CPUs). It's got it's small band of coders, designers & creatives collaborating over on LitecoinTalk and on IRC. And that group is growing as more folks learn about it. The biggest draw I've seen to Litecoin (besides the hoarders & strike it rich types that bog the community down) is the speed of Litecoin. Faster transactions is, to me, the only difference there needs to be between Bitcoin and Litecoin. The blockchain is 4x faster by design and pending transactions don't get held up in a bumper to bumper traffic jam. The speeds might slow, but at least the traffic is still moving. These speeds will improve online purchasing if a site chooses Litecoin as a currency. And merchant tools are being developed by the band of brothers on the forums and chats as we speak. http://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,936.0.htmlAnyone can rattle off a dozen Bitcoin sites / 1 Litecoin sites. Many of us use Bitcoin everyday online. Bitcoin has built it's foundation and now is designing the beautiful architecture above the ground that amazes more people around the world every day. Litecoin is building it's foundation and will soon be joining Bitcoin above ground in all it's glory. "Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?"

I have 2x BFL singles I'm looking to unload and respective pre-order upgrades for them.
I just got them on 10/15 but something has come up and I need the cash.
Willing to sell at cost, so: $1,232 singles + $1,432 preorder = $2,664
You get the 2x Singles shipped to you and pre-order number 7119 transferred to you.
BTC or USD payment. Either you pay first or Escrow.
If willing to sell at cost and need cash now, why not just cancel order with BFL? They are taking refunds BFL_Josh via BFL Forums Refund requests will be honored both before and after January 1st, there's no difference. You can request a refund at any time. Seems like a no brainer dude.
