941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ark Investment lanches report Big Ideas 2023: bitcoin price above 1mi in 2030 on: February 09, 2023, 10:24:41 AM
they mention bitcoin price targets in2030:
From 250k usd to 1.5mi usd.
I don't know why they choose the year 2030. In my opinion, if I make any prediction, I will pick years of likely big bull markets like years with Bitcoin halving events: 2024, 2028 and 2032. With ARK report, they choose 2030 that will probably a year of bear market and it is not good for prediction.

Furthermore, their predictive price is too wide from $250k to $1.5M and I don't like that prediction. Anyone can make that blindly wide predictive price.

In 2032, after that halving, Bitcoin circulating supply will be 99.2% of its total supply and with each block, miners will get only 0.78125 BTC as block reward.
Controlled supply

Back in the 2018-2020, people are saying someone is stupid for bought Bitcoin at $19K on 2017. But if he's know what he do and continue to hold his coin until 2021, he already earn 3x from his initial investment.
Not too far, weeks ago, people said it is stupid to buy Bitcoin at $16,000 and now they are regretting about that. I don't think Bitcoin won't fall to under $20,000 again but my stance is if you believe in Bitcoin, you can DCA it as regular activities for your investment in Bitcoin.

You don't have to find, ask yourself where is the bottom of each bear market. It is unnecessary because if you want to find an absolute bottom before you buying bitcoin, you will miss the bottom when it takes off already.

Meanwhile of finding a bottom, you probably use your fund for other things that only reduce the total net fund you spend for investment. If you DCA, your total net fund will be bigger.

Years ago, Internet was target to shut down, ban from governments. Now we can loudly say it has changed the world and brought the world to a better era. I am not doubtful to say this fact of Internet connection to the world.

There are people who use Internet in good or bad ways but because they are different types of people. Good people have their good ways and bad people have their bad ways but it is not responsibility of Internet to solve all those problems. If society accept Internet, use it, governments and citizens must build up supplementary things around Internet to make this space a better and safer place for all. Unfortunately we can not completely prevent bad things happen in life.

944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 09, 2023, 03:34:37 AM
Teaching children about finance is great, but you don't need to shove Bitcoin down their throats — especially knowing that chances are, they barely even understand what money is and how money works. Sometimes you just need to let the youth enjoy their childhood, then educate them when they're ready.
With children, their childhood is full with fun and playing times. If parents want to teach their children anything educationally, they can try to do that with playing games or anything similar to games.

Children need to get funny experience from that they naturally learn things with their small brains. It is like how they learn to say "Daddy, Mommy", very naturally and without pressure on their brains.

Cartoon movies, cartoon books for them are great. Games for them are great too.

I think they if parents can find games for them to play and guide them to tips other players with bitcoin, it is great. Teaching children about finance when they are very young is not great idea.
945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you could use only 1 Tool/Indicator for the rest of your life? which one? on: February 08, 2023, 04:05:14 PM
If it is for Bitcoin, the only one tool I would like to use for rest of my life is DCA Dollar Cost Averaging.
This strategy wont always work especially as bitcoin gets older and price action gets slower.
Investment is better than trading and with investment, nothing is better than dollar cost averaging. It is true for all investment, not for Bitcoin as it is not an exception. If you choose a good asset for investment, DCA can help you to invest successfully.

Hence if in future, Bitcoin has less volatility than now, it is still a good investment and DCA will still be helpful. I am discussing about Investment in Bitcoin, not trading with Bitcoin.

If you're discussing about trading with Bitcoin, I agree that DCA is not best but it can be helpful if you trade with spot. If your trades are wrong, DCA can help you in spot trading too.
946  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you could use only 1 Tool/Indicator for the rest of your life? which one? on: February 08, 2023, 03:33:32 PM
If it is for Bitcoin, the only one tool I would like to use for rest of my life is DCA Dollar Cost Averaging.

Furthermore, Bitcoin should be the only asset in your portfolio in rest of your life if you are not rich too much and can be able to invest into different assets.

If you agree with me about DCA, let's use this tool https://dcabtc.com/ for rest of your life until that site turns off. Even so there are other websites that can help you with calculations, estimations for DCA strategy.
947  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it a golden cross forming at the beginning in the first half of February? on: February 07, 2023, 11:17:40 AM
Your analysis is logical, as the price has overcome the 200-day simple moving average at less than $20,000, but we still need to break the 200-week simple moving average, which represents $24,500, to confirm the bullish level, which is something that is happening so far.

There are indicators that support this trend, such as keeping the price lower than realized price for a long period, longer than the previous sessions.
Bitcoin will have another mini bull run before a big bull run and I think it will be a similar mini bull run like 2019 mini bull run. Very possible Bitcoin will try to reclaim $30,000 with this run before any correction to pull it back to likely $20,000.

Quote
All that the data confirms is that we have reached the bottom, or that we are very close to it, and when prices reach breakeven levels, the possibility of the golden cross is diminishing.
The $15,000 and $16,000 look like a bottom range but I don't forget what happened in 2020 March when Bitcoin had a last serious bottom test before it starts a big bull run. Maybe in later months 2023 or early 2024, Bitcoin will have another serious bottom test like that.

I think it is good to hold Bitcoin and wait for $30,000 but if anybody has more capital source in coming months, they can wait to buy Bitcoin at price around $20,000 that is good for dollar cost averaging for 2024 halving and a consequent big bull run.
948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ChatGPT and Trading on: February 07, 2023, 05:02:35 AM
I think the answers are pretty solid:

In the end it's stated that investors should only trade with money they can afford to lose, due to the risks this activity involves. When we are trading, there is no way to assure the initial capital is safe, unless we don't use it for trading. Cheesy
Thank you for sharing the answer from ChatGPT that is solid, I agree with you.

The answer is solid by emphasizing risk of trading, importance of protecting capital and readiness to afford loss before start your trading. Even that is a bot answer, it is actually better than many human answers which can be lack of many important advice especially three important points I highlighted.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 07, 2023, 04:54:26 AM
Was it just because of Mane, or was it coincidental since Mane left for Bayern Munich?
I don't think Liverpool's bad form this season is due to Mane leaving for Bayern, that's not the only reason in my opinion.
It is not only because of Mane departure to Bayern Munich. His departure is one of reasons but not only and not all reasons.

Quote
I assume that overall Liverpool have dropped this season and it's not just about their strikers. Players' injury problems have damaged their form, while the new arrivals have not been able to prove their best so far.
The past long and very ambitious season has negative impacts on many Liverpool players. They were exhausted and not ready for this season with poorer performances and some got injuries too. World Cup 2022 is hosted in December makes it worse for Liverpool when many players came back to the club with tired bodies and mentality.

Quote
Liverpool need really good midfielder to push more power in midfield instead of being so focused on improving attack. The proof is, since Darwin Nunez and Gakpo filled Liverpool's line-up, they weren't really able to contribute much to victory. Is it because of Klopp's incompetence, I think that's bad reason too.
It is time for Liverpool to think of what they will do at the end of season. Start with a coach position of Klopp first, will they determinantly use him in next seasons or will look for another coach? They must think of it as soon as possible to have good preparation in the summer. If they wait for the season ending to start thinking about it, it is too late.

Personally I support Klopp to stay in Liverpool at least one more season. If he can not improve the club performance in the next season, he should leave.
950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ChatGPT and Trading on: February 06, 2023, 11:24:54 AM
ChatGPT AI lets it very clear it can't predict future events or give any financial advices, therefore it can't be used as a trading tool or trading bot.
Anyone here are using ChatGPT can share what it gives you if you ask questions like "How to trade successfully and get profit?"

If its answer does not include a part to protect your initial capital as a first and most important thing, it is missing a vital point and its advice is not good enough. To trade successfully, you must have the ability to protect your initial capital. If you can not, you will lose your initial capital and what is more terrible than losing most or all of your capital for a trader?

No capital, no trade, not success or failure after that.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: opinion: it would be better off if taproot was rolled back on: February 06, 2023, 11:12:34 AM
So even if you're right, the consequence isn't real enough or tangible enough, even those who wouldn't understand enough (like me) wouldn't support it.
Only if the attacker can collect enough hashrate to do it, no way to make it happen by any consensus.

If any entity is part of Bitcoin community and join with financial incentives, they will no have any single reason to support such idea to roll back the Bitcoin blockchain, Taproot or anything else. They know such rollbacks are only harmful for Bitcoin network and consequently it will cause dramatic loss in loyalty, trust in Bitcoin from the crowd.

If the attacker wants to get profit from rollback, attacks, such attacks won't be helpful for attackers but if they are from governments, they can get benefit from it. Above all, I did not see governments come too close to attack Bitcoin network.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 06, 2023, 11:01:52 AM
Manchester didn't manage to make a comeback in last night's game against Tottenham even though they could do that before, but it looks like Tottenham learned a lot from the previous defeat so that the score 1 - 0 lasted until the end of the match, Manchester City's opportunity to shorten the point gap with Arsenal failed already and failed to take advantage of the opportunity.
They created only one great chance to equalize the match but Riyad Mahrez made a shot to Tottenham's goal bar and wasted that opportunity. In contrast, Tottenham had so many good chances in the second half to score a few more goals but their players could not covert those opportunities to at least one more goal. Anyway, they succeeded to complete the match with three points and are creating more pressure to clubs in top four.

With this defeat, Manchester City will have more difficulties in Premier League and Champions League. When they have to think more about Premier League, they will be distracted more from Champions League which I am sure their biggest target in this season.

So many chances unable being converted into goals by manchester city's players.
I am not sure how did you count opportunities created by Manchester City but I saw Tottenham got more chances in the second half. Stats for two clubs are similar from total shots to shots on target but Tottenham created more dangerous chances than Manchester City. Match stats

Quote
Arsenal is very lucky this week. So many big clubs were facing the same problems as these clubs were losing against small clubs. Even arsenal was losing against everton which was making so many people feel surprised with it.
They can not stand at the first position of Premier League many weeks only because of they are lucky. Luckiness won't stand with you if you don't work hard and try your best.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Electrum Account Limits on: February 06, 2023, 06:57:27 AM
Not your keys, not your coins. With legit Electrum wallet, you own your bitcoins because you control its private keys.

So you are totally be able to broadcast your transactions without need to get approval or supports from Electrum team. What you actually need is confirmations from Bitcoin miners.

Verify wallets to avoid scam and phishing wallets.
[Guide] How to safely download and verify Electrum wallet

Especially if you got invitation or request from some person to ask you sending your coins first, to get credit to your wallet or account, I am sure they are scammers. Real staffs of any legit company won't go first with support in DMs or emails and ask for money.

Go first means likely scammers.
Go first and ask for money, coin are surely scammers.
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoiners are not friendly physical? on: February 04, 2023, 02:44:53 PM
I was very happy  to joined bitcointalk. org November 7 2020, but I came to discovered one thing in the community that is making me wondering, if bitcoiners don't trust themselves by seeing themselves face to face like the way church members or Muslim members love themselves by seeing themselves face to face after the service.
You are wrong. There are people who want to stay privately and hide themselves from the crowd but there are others who want to expose themselves to community. They are influencers, KOLs, it is just you have yet met such people in your community.

Quote
Going to three years now, am trying to see some of the bitcoiners in my area to discuss with them how to join hands together to promote Bitcoin in the society but they said they prefer discussing it online than see each other physical.
Are they ashame to be a bitcoiners? or they are among the people that think Bitcoin is a scam?
No, if they consider themselves as scam, they did not invest money in Bitcoin.

People who don't want to show themselves probably knowing about the rule "Not your keys not your coins". If they don't say they are bitcoiners, there are less chances and risk that they will be targets of hackers or bad people who can try to exploit their careless to steal bitcoins.

Each person have different reasons but I don't see that it is bad to not reveal ourselves as bitcoiners.
955  Other / Archival / Re: ✅ [ANN] [banned mixer] | Bitcoin Mixer | Bitcoin Tumbler | Since 2019 ✴️✴️ on: February 04, 2023, 11:22:29 AM
This increases anonymity because your transaction can no longer be found on the blockchain due to the times and with large amounts of Bitcoin these are mixed better because many users deposit within 12-24 hours, for example. It is therefore impossible to follow the tracks.

Otherwise, one could theoretically recognize your transaction if you deposit it at 10 a.m. and it is paid out to you again at 10:05 a.m. with a similar amount.
I asked because people might worry to let their bitcoins at the mixer for too long like 3 to 4 days. I know having better anonymity is better but at the same time, it increases risk because common fear is people don't know what will happen with that service.

Any chance to consider giving users to get payout after like 1 to 2 hours or 10 minutes but to a different receiving address?

I mean the mixer can user mixed coins from like 3 to 7 days previously for payouts for that user. Then their bitcoin sent to the mixer will be mixed and used for payouts for future users 3-7 days later.

Maybe it is a challenge for the mixer if it is a really big payout and if there is such challenge, your mixer can have terms for that. Like payouts under a max value will be paid instantly perhaps. For payouts that have bigger value than the max, users will have to wait longer.

Quote
Coinomize stores your order data for 3-4 days, then they are automatically deleted, including any user data from the server logs (e.g. IP addresses). You can delete your order immediately after the payout via a button without having to wait 3-4 days.
Perfect to have options to wait for the mixer deleting process or self-delete it without waiting a few days.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: opinion: it would be better off if taproot was rolled back on: February 04, 2023, 06:53:17 AM
I am sure you can not get any 100% vote in life with very rare exceptions in countries with dictators like North Korea, Cuba, China, Russia and whatever countries which are controlled by dictators.

Bitcoin network is decentralized and community have their voices that of course can not the same, so no 100% agreement with any vote for Protocol changes, Upgrades.

If you don't agree and can vote, you can choose the Disagree option and go with a fork. Bitcoin Cash was born like that but forks are failures, not successful projects. Almost 6 years since 2017 hard fork, Bitcoin Cash is a failed fork and Bitcoin SV (forked from Bitcoin Cash) is a worse failure.

Rollback, sorry it is not for Bitcoin and its network. If any blockchain that can be reverted /rolled back too easily, that is a shit blockchain. With such crap blockchains, you can lose your money any time.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 03, 2023, 11:51:21 PM
Yes unfortunately Mbappé might be off for three weeks or more because of his injury, last match was so bad for him beside missing 2 penalties in less than 5 minutes he got injured and also lost the top 1 scorer of League 1 after Folarin Balogun is having 14 goals in his balance while Kylian Mbappé with 13 goals.
Mbappe is a goal source for PSG and he is very important for their attacking system. I don't mean he can do everything without other players but PSG need to have him in order to maximize their attacking power. With support from Neymar and Messi, Mbappe becomes more dangerous than without those players and have to play with younger attacking players.

Quote
It’s a bad timing for PSG since they are playing against Bayern Munich in Champions League with a true attacker it’s a big loss for them and great news for the Bavarians

The missing of Mbappe by a latest injury is a bad news for PSG as they have to face with Bayern Munich. The opponent is a big club in Europe and Champions League with a more successful history than PSG. Additionally, they have more experience in Champions League and they can control matches and opponents by very smart and strict tactics. Meeting Bayern is already an unlucky schedule for PSG but doing this without Mbappe is a shocking news for them.

Does have any miracle to help Mbappe recover faster than 3 weeks that is considered as his recovery time initially?
With power of a young man, he can beat all initial diagnosis and recover sooner but let's see. If he can return sooner and can play against Bayern, PSG will feel so happy.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which countries do you think this year will adopt Bitcoin as a Legal tender? on: February 03, 2023, 11:45:16 PM
Countries Which Allow Cryptocurrency As Legal Tender
Which Country Will Make Crypto Legal Tender Next?

Making Bitcoin legal tender in a whole nation means a big thing legally. Big countries with healthy finance will not have interest in making this. In contrast, small nations especially with their economic problems usually have more interests in such a big legal step.

If you want to guess what countries will enforce Bitcoin legal tender after El Salvador and Central African Republic, you must consider their economic and maybe social status. If the status is bad, it is higher chance to see legal tender in that nation.
959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I made my first $2000 through stock marketing on: February 03, 2023, 11:39:18 PM
I was busy saying Bitcoin is a scam for about let me say 1 year and some month not untill a friend of mine was into forex trading so I visited him and I was watching what he was doing so one day he made a big hit for about $2000 for just a night.
How much is his initial capital to make $2000 after a night?

If it is a $2000 or smaller initial capital, it is a big win even just by luck. If the initial capital is like $100,000 it is not a big win, just 2% from initial capital.

The more importance is did your friend succeed to protect his initial capital and that won part ($2,000) after all?

Quote
And That's what push me more to trade Bitcoin with forex trading I didn't pay to learn.
But now am not into forex trading am into stock marketing.
I buy when the price is low and sell when the price increaseses.
Trading in forex or stock means you don't own any bitcoin. Not your keys, not your coins and I'm sure that with forex or stock, you don't own any key.

Trading is more risky than investment and with Bitcoin, you will have best ROI by investment, not by trading.

Quote
And That's how I made my first $1000
Again, if you don't say how much did you spend initially, your story does not present that you succeed much.
960  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin wallet users, have you ever? on: February 02, 2023, 05:07:48 PM
1. With paper wallet generator or good non custodial wallet software, you can create your wallet and public receiving addresses offline. This is one part of creating air-gappped wallets.

2. Electrum is available for Android and iOS. You can edit transaction fee rates too with three options: ETA, Static or Mempool.

3. Fee rate is one part of your transaction fee that is by fee rate x transaction size. With same transaction size, if you increase fee rate, you are paying more transaction fee to miners. It boosts your transaction to tip of mempools and makes more quickly to be confirmed.
