If this carries on dumping, I may ask Bob for a job as a farm hand on his ranch. Either that or Mcd’s.
Really hope the bottom is in & we get back to 60k ASAP.

You and me both my friend.
Either planet Earth is the only life harboring planet in the universe or it is not. We may never know. But regardless, either scenario is mind boggling.
I've read a few articles that basically say, we can't be the only planet in the whole universe with life ... there are billions of stars per galaxy, and billions of galaxies, and an exponential number of planets per star (well, some stars have no planets, but some stars have solar systems like ours.) We just haven't seen them, or they haven't seen us, or somehow we are too far apart to see each other, or they may have lived long time ago. Well lets hope some green lizard mofos didn't already find us and are ruling it all behind the scenes. They say you can recognize them by their terrible haircuts. Hair seems to be a concept them aliens never seem to have understood. * OutOfMemory browsing for pictures of Trump... Apparently you can recognise them from their smell, they smell like farts. And if they smell like farts imagine what their farts must smell like. ... https://www.popularmechanics.com/space/deep-space/a29932234/what-would-aliens-smell-like/...Which led my son to one inescapable conclusion: If aliens exist, they probably smell like farts.
I don’t know enough about farts, Mars, or aliens to refute him, so I reached out to somebody who does: Clara Sousa-Silva, a molecular astrophysics postdoctoral associate at MIT.
“Your son is absolutely correct in his inference,” she told me. “Most of my work in astrobiology looks at anaerobic environments, which have a lot in common with the environments that produce farts. So, yes, aliens are reasonably likely to smell like farts.” Now I know what Ripley was smelling...

Well, physicists tell us that the DIAMETER of the observable Universe is 90 bil light years. I am not sure how they derived this number considering that it is only 13.8 bil years old, as you probably meant. You are absolutely right that it is most likely MUCH bigger (beyond the observable part).
Well, like, yeah... If you want to be pedantic, I'm referencing the ~13 bil year old arrow of time expanding outwards in all directions to create a presumably spherical volume - What lays beyond the known volume of space/time sorta question type deal? Some eminent theoretical physicists say the whole universe might be a two-dimensional surface, like a hologram. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/information-in-the-holographic-univ/...our universe, which we perceive to have three spatial dimensions, might instead be written on a two-dimensional surface, like a hologram. Our everyday perceptions of the world as three-dimensional would then be either a profound illusion or merely one of two alternative ways of viewing reality. A grain of sand may not encompass our world, but a flat screen might. I used to take the piss out of batty who started the flat earth thread for an April fool's day joke, then found out the University of Southampton (UK) has a flat universe page (and they're serious)! https://www.southampton.ac.uk/news/2017/01/holographic-universe.pageTheoretical physicists and astrophysicists, investigating irregularities in the cosmic microwave background (the ‘afterglow’ of the Big Bang), have found there is substantial evidence supporting a holographic explanation of the universe – in fact, as much as there is for the traditional explanation of these irregularities using the theory of cosmic inflation.
The researchers, from the University of Southampton (UK), University of Waterloo (Canada), Perimeter Institute (Canada), INFN, Lecce (Italy) and the University of Salento (Italy), have published findings in the journal Physical Review Letters.
A holographic universe, an idea first suggested in the 1990s, is one where all the information, which makes up our 3D ‘reality’ (plus time) is contained in a 2D surface on its boundaries. Scientists have been working for decades to combine Einstein’s theory of gravity and quantum theory. Some believe the concept of a holographic universe has the potential to reconcile the two.

Aren't you the most insightful of nocoiners that I never did meet? He's not a nocoiner. He's got a few sats in the address in his profile, and he's hodling them.

There was an announcement from the MtGox trustee today. Here's a link to the official PDF: https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20211116_announcement_en.pdfFirst couple of paragraphs containing relevant information : Notice of Confirmation Order of Rehabilitation Plan becoming Final and Binding
As we announced in the “Notice of Confirmation Order of Rehabilitation Plan” on October 20, 2021, the Draft Rehabilitation Plan (the “Draft Rehabilitation Plan”) filed by the Rehabilitation Trustee with the Tokyo District Court on February 15, 2021 was (i) approved by a large majority of rehabilitation creditors (hereinafter, the Draft Rehabilitation Plan approved by the rehabilitation creditors is referred to as the “Rehabilitation Plan”) on October 20, 2021, and (ii) on the same date, the Tokyo District Court made a confirmation order of the Rehabilitation Plan. Further, on November 16, 2021, the Rehabilitation Plan became final and binding.
The Rehabilitation Trustee would like to express sincere gratitude to all involved parties for their understanding and support, which led to the Rehabilitation Plan becoming final and binding.
This has been a FUD event, people have been speculating that the MtGox coins are all going to be distributed on Nov 20th, what happened today was expected to happen on Nov 20th. It's a simple legal procedure, now the long process of the trustee collecting bank account details, choosing which exchanges are doing to be used for distribution will begin at some point. For all we know they haven't even developed the website software to allow this to be processed, now they have the go ahead from the court to do so. As a creditor I expect nothing until what will likely be June/July 2022 and that's me being optimistic.

Since when was I a day trader? ... I don't mind being misrepresented while I accumulate more Bitcoin, makes me giggle a bit really. I was only joking. Sometimes trading pays off. Proudhon sold at $10, then bought back at $2.4. That gamble turned his hundreds of bitcoins into thousands of bitcoins. I've got > 2000 and < 5000. Last year when I started I remember thinking "I hope one day to have 200". On then on the way down from $32 I kept scooping them up with my biggest haul coming in at $2.4x after the last $2.00 bounce.
On the other hand whoever had bitcoins on gox has been waiting 7 years to get them back. Proudhon withdrew his before it closed. ...
As bearish as I am and remain, I've still got a nice stash of bitcoins in offline storage that intend to keep forever, even though recent price movements have been tempting me to sell.

Proudhon usually shows up just before prices soar again. Hoping to see him soon.
I want to ask him why he's saying he's a bear, but got > 2000 and < 5000 bitcoins. I've got > 2000 and < 5000. Last year when I started I remember thinking "I hope one day to have 200". On then on the way down from $32 I kept scooping them up with my biggest haul coming in at $2.4x after the last $2.00 bounce. I keep saying to myself, "I've got enough", and I think I've got plenty, but it'd sure be nice to have 10,000...

This is how it works: n00bs who have spent an entire day reading about what is a short/long position get aroused by the 99.99% possibility to get rich by opening a 100x leverage long position ...

This, as a trader, I've really noticed this year with ETH that ...

I foresee a post by Arrie complaining about the price going back to $64k.
I actually find this irritating too (not Arrie's posts, but price action).
I hereby complain that the price is going back to 64xxx

Pullbacks, doubt etc while we rise longer term is probably for the best and not getting 100k this year also I think is for the best.

Never leave the house? Stuck at home? You mean house arrest?
Isn't that a form of punishment?Get rid of the cellphone and get some fresh air and meet some real people... face-to-face. What's the point of being Bitcoin-retired if you can't enjoy it? It sounds like trading.

C'mon! I think i remember that quite some amounts were moved before black friday in the past years. They didn't even mention how many BTC were transacted, to which addresses, etc. Maybe it even was an old dog from this forum, who went to somewhere in the world to dig out a long time hidden seedword list he left there once. I would be scared if multiple "in-only" addresses where BTC were accumulated within the last 4 years would send all of their coins to a single exchange, but roughly 2.200 BTC? That's a tiny fraction of the total of the MtGox case addresses. It was probably proudhon moving some of his stack. I've got > 2000 and < 5000. Last year when I started I remember thinking "I hope one day to have 200". On then on the way down from $32 I kept scooping them up with my biggest haul coming in at $2.4x after the last $2.00 bounce.
