In what form will IPO take place, will it be on Counterparty platform?

So the the password I got from NXT is not secure?
Freeze gulp magnetic vibe manifest knee sprain winter ungulate hoofed your mom
Solid fucking gold right there.
12 random words generated by the client are secure. It's when a user rejects that random pass and invents their own weak password that most of the hacks take place. If you can't invent your own secure password, just use what the client software tells you to use and you'll be safe.
|
|
|
This is what worries me about NXT. Can't you just literally bruteforce it until you come across weak passwords?
Someone is doing exactly that. Try to create an account with a simple password, fund it with a few coins and track how long it'll take for coins to disappear ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Someone did that experiment in Bitcoin with a brain wallet too, brain wallet with a phrase like 'hello, world' or something, it was gone in 5 mins. Moral of the story: use a truely random pass of 20+ chars and keep your PC clean from trojans of course.
|
|
|
Actually the PW strength probably wasn't the issue.
In NXT, which is a brain wallet, PW strength is exactly the issue. OP says it was a word + number + symbol = 12 chars. So, something like this: Generation5! It was most likely brute-forced using a dictionary. Something like this: MaQorLdNxE5! would be much more secure, also 12 characters, but no dictionary words. At least 20 or more random characters are recommended for better security, with no dictionary words.

Paypal is risky for them to accept, that's why there is a premium on coinmarketcap exchange rate to account for scammers. You won't find a better deal for paypal->doge exchange, but limits are a bit tight. Other two methods: www.localdogecoin.com and www.reddit.com/r/dogemarket but those are slow and it's trading with a person, which is less reliable, as opposed to weselldoge which is automatic.

So what's the purpose of this enterprise then if not an attempt for socialism? Do you know that people only value what they have to work for and airdropping money on them does no good?
Well, it's impossible to distribute equally, if only because 5 bln people out of 7 living on the Earth don't have access to Internet.

|

That sounds like he's unlikely to be selling the NXT which makes this probably one of the best times in recent history to buy NXT considering it's super cheap right now, no? Everyone is going to start buying NXT pretty soon.
There's going to be more demand for NXT even after the IPO since people will want to trade it on the NXT asset exchange, right?
I am sure the whales will use this opportunity to sell, so the price is unlikely to go very high, but that's good for distribution, very good time to get cheap NXT yeah. 5k satoshi could very well be the floor, but you never know with cryptos ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

So if I'm understanding his correctly, NXT will be an integral part in this whole operation, right?
If people get +5% for purchasing in NXT, why not just buy NXT with the BTC you were going to use anyway and get more? What's the downside?
Doesn't this mean everyone is going to be buying NXT and the price will go up? Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but I'm just wondering how anything but that could happen.
I assume people planning on investing in this IPO are already converting their BTC to NXT since if they get in on day 1 it will be +5% NXT bonus and +15% early bonus for a total of 20%(!!!).
Am I missing something here?
I think this issue has been somewhat addressed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762346.msg8602931#msg8602931

...he became rich, had a beautiful young wife...
And then she poisoned him to get his riches. Moral of the story: if you're a slacker, stay a slacker ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

1 NEM = $1, yeah, that'd be a spectacular sight, let's hope it happens ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Qora is 5-6 months behind NXT in development, and the Voting System doesn't change a thing, there is no business to vote on in Qora. But anyways, be sure to grab a $50 worth of Qora. It won't break the bank and may be a good backup should NXT fail for some reason. And some NEM too, for the same reason.

i throuhgt that there will be some special auction
Yeah, I don`t get it too. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FQfbMIVa.png&t=663&c=QvUie4ptp0LBFg) I have no idea what that means. Perhaps the unclaimed stakes will be sold off? ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) big thank for explanation. and do you think that the equivalent amount of NEM coins will have bigger or smaller value than NEMtoken have now ?
Crypto currencies are completely unpredictable ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) If you want to invest in NEM, at least buy a little bit now and wait to buy more later, that's what I did. If NEM goes down, you don't lose much. If it goes up, you still have some profits.

Money is the root of all evil, no reason to be sick to your stomach.

i throuhgt that there will be some special auction
There was NEM IPO 7 months ago. Now stakeholders trade their stakes on NXT AE, where all who didn't take part in the IPO can buy some NEM. After NEM software is released for live net, all owners of NEM asset on NXT AE will be able to send those assets to NEM developers' NXT account and NEM developers will send an equivalent amount of NEM coins to their live net NEM account.
|
|
|
which day will be NEM stake public auction ?
It's already traded on NXT Asset Exchange for a few months.
|
|
|
Even if there existed a good method to distribute equally to everyone (this is not possible), a number of years later most of the money would still end up in the hands of a few, because all people don't have equal abilities to manage money. This idea is utopia.

The first, is always the winner. That's a basic principle.
lol. Damn, my younger brother will be sad when I tell him! lol if you mean what I think you mean ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Im bored too because i missed the boat and im not rich, so i feel suicidal on a daily motherfucking basis.
There are other boats preparing to sail, don't miss those. It takes the same efforts to believe in those boats as it took early bitcoin adopters to believe in bitcoin. But bitcoin is not going much higher, it can appreciate more, but not on the scale as some other 'boats'. So you can't get rich with bitcoin any more, only to save your money from inflation.

Ohhh come on dumpers... my wife needs to buy $2000 at about 0.000071 BTC/BTSX What the hell is that? Have you no BTSX to prove your point, that Bitshares is a pump up scheme... You truly disappoint me. Now, I have to give her percentage of my own stack. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Did she buy? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
