I'll just say, thumbs up for thumbs up guy,
and I do hope my coins can move again, soon.
I hope the same walter. I'm afraid it will be another few days to make it 18 blocks though Down to 15 blocks, now.

I never felt the need to trash Litecoin users.
Trash deserves to be trashed. Human beings are worthy of more in life than just wasting their time over trash. There are so many good things to do with one's life.

My altcoins earned me enough to buy some mining hardware.
These kinds of discussions don't make any sense to me. Why do you care so passionately about the choices other people make in life? Until yesterday, I never bought a Litecoin in my life, but I never felt the need to trash Litecoin users.

I can't believe people are actually offering TRC for this... You guys may as well buy FRC at this rate. -_-
Well, I didn't offer ALL my Terracoin.

Renting my signature for a month; I'll award it to the highest offer by 00:00 UTC 10 April. (For those of us in the Western Hemisphere, that'll be toward the end of the day Wednesday.)

I think ASIC jumping could be a problem for any coin. Even Bitcoin, theoretically, if another coin got large enough to threaten it.
So it might be good to have a good solution for difficulty to quickly but securely adjust downward. Bitcoin Testnet already has one potential solution: after ten minutes, difficulty goes back down to the minimum. Perhaps this strategy could be adjusted: after a set long period goes with no block being found, difficulty might be reduced by a factor, then possibly reduced more for further intervals. I think 10 minutes would be a good interval for coins like Terracoin; for coins like Bytecoin I think you'd want an interval more on the order of an hour.
It will be interesting in the near future to see if Bytecoin goes through the same thing that Terracoin is going through right now.

man it sure is kinda rough looking at just how high TRC/PPC/LTC exchange rates have gotten....
having mined 15k TRC like it was nothing a few months ago... at current FX rates thats $50k worth
oh well, you live and you learn
Okay, 15K TRC is not worth $50K, no matter how you cut it. Also, there is not $50K worth of depth in the market. Meaning your first TRC maybe you sell for a fortune, your second you sell your a bargin, your third is a deal, your fourth is a profit, and your 5th all the way down to your 50 thousandth you sell for next to nothing. So don't beat yourself up. It's speculation but it's also an illusion. BTC could crash tomorrow as well and we're all left holding 0's and 1's. Greed will burn you. Be realistic and be happy you get something out of it. If you really want to be rich- you should build a business with crypto. That will make the coins you already have worth more, and will make a real income that's not just speculation. Rich people get rich on speculation because they can afford to lose money, thus they can afford to risk a heck of a lot more. Don't beat yourself up, welcome to the club. Exciting times are ahead of us! Great post, Rabbit. +1.0 TRC

I and others disagree, it was abused blatantly and you know it.
That's a subjective statement.

use twitter https://twitter.com/@VircurexWe might not get any new updates from our host until another 72 hours. We must all be patient and hope for the best. translation: ur screwed. they bought cheap assed hosting and were promptly dumped once the massive denial of service attacks started coming in. Keep posting that FAKE twitter account, yeah do it some more. lol that's fake? if so why aren't they asking ppl to send in their passwords for 'refund' instead of doing damage control or trolling around It was stated that it was fake. Don't ask me why or how, I don't know. What I do know is, that it's fake as told by many. Kumala is the Vircurex owner and has posted here on Bitcointalk that that twitter account is fake. Please don't send them anything.

could we petition as a community for brainstorming and development of a top of the line secure exchange? What is "top of the line"? It's a mistake to think the quality of possible exchange practices is a total ordering.

super reliable says the high for terracoin was 1985.00000000 BTC Apparently there was a small sale at that rate last night. The chart on Vircurex went straight up at that point. Somebody possibly typoed and bought the entire ask wall.

Id love to panic buy some TerraCoins right now, but theres nowhere to get them with Vir down
Head to cryptonit and make better offers than what I saw there earlier.

Looks like it might be too late to get lots of TRC now - there are aren't many BTC worth of TRC left on https://trcexchange.bitparking.com - maybe someone in the know is grabbing them as we speak. Cryptonit is still open, but they haven't had much volume lately. *Rushes to grab some* http://exchange.zapto.org/exchange/1/5Gah! There are only 60 Terracoins left! Hardly worth opening an account. It'll take higher bids than what's currently there for me to put any of mine up for sale there, right now.
