Daily Bump

All gold has been sold. I'm a bit hesitant to stock more gold, but in the future I'll probably go the direction of ordering more interesting looking pieces rather than just bullion. Figured people would rather have the lowest price possible, but it seems that people are willing to pay a little more for something pretty to look at.
985  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Silver and Gold Bullion at Low Prices! Updated 9/22/16 GOLD SALE! on: September 24, 2016, 07:29:12 PM
I will help you and I will take the 2.5g.
I just have to pray that it wont get caught on customs Smiley.
That makes our deal stands at around 1.2BTC I guess?

Of course I'm not going to refuse the sale, but I would probably recommend against it. Given that I dont think theres any way to keep it under the taxable threshold, you would end up paying any applicable import taxes on it. If you are fine with that, its not a problem, but I don't think praying that it wont be surcharged at customs is likely to work. Regardless, let me know if you would like it, and I'll pull it from sale.

That said! The 2.5 gram bar is not part of my gold sale. It still does have the premium on it which I have listed as $10 over spot. Pamp bars are quite a bit more expensive than most other brands because they are a premium brand and kind of pretty.

All of that said, I do appreciate that you are willing to help me out, but please don't feel obligated to do so. I'm not really in a huge rush. Until my gold products are gone though, it just delays my next large silver order.

Daily Bump.

Lots of people inquiring about gold, but no one has pulled the proverbial trigger. You still have a chance to grab it before its gone!

Your gold deal is the best among all gold dealers I've seen - good luck with selling!

Yep, I'm taking a loss on it, thats why its a one time sale. I probably wont stock gold bullion anymore unless its something really special. Just not enough people interested in it, and it takes up too much of my capital for too long.
987  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Silver and Gold Bullion at Low Prices! Updated 9/22/16 GOLD SALE! on: September 24, 2016, 05:38:41 PM
I buy silver at spot locally all day long, I never pay anything over spot. Come to my town and I will introduce you to my vendors.

If thats true, open up your own shop immediately if not sooner and buy from them to resell. The US Mint doesn't even get silver at spot price. Spot price is the theoretical minimum price of the value of silver based on paper IOUs being traded back and forth on stock exchanges, it doesn't begin to consider minting costs, shipping, taxes, business overhead, etc.

If you are serious and they are willing to ship metals to me, I'd be more than happy to buy massive quantities from them.

I'm interested in youjr silver but wont pay your crazy prices....

spot + 1-3$??

No, you are crazy asking for those prices. Let me know when you come back down to reality and Then I'll buy some at spot.

Find somewhere selling cheaper than I am, and I'll at the very least match if not beat their prices.

990  Other / Meta / Re: Why isn't bitcointalk.org neutral? on: September 24, 2016, 02:18:22 PM
Why only have the link to bitcoin core at the top, and not classic, unlimited and XT as well?
Because those are altcoins, and this forum is called Bitcoin Talk.

No, these are called options.

The entire point of bitcoin is that the USERS can choose. Not any one group of devs.

The Core devs are obviously trying to centralize bitcoin under their rule, and not giving the other dev teams a fair chance and an equal playing ground.

This is centralization

Classic, unlimited and XT are all bitcoin, and I'm fairly sure they would all be more popular than Core if they would have the same opportunity to be listed as 'official' bitcoin clients.

Core is in no way more 'official' than Classic, Unlimited or XT.

Technically, until a Bitcoin fork obtains consensus, it is an alt chain. Core is "Bitcoin" at the moment. Should Classic, Unlimited, XT, obtain consensus to take over as "bitcoin" then the forum would be about that chain.
991  Other / Meta / Re: Improvements Needed to Bitcoin Forum Ranking System on: September 23, 2016, 10:19:11 PM
Er, is the ranking really of any importance at all? If you're selling stuff then you get trust on a totally separate basis. As for your opinions, I don't give a shit how high or low someone's rank is if what they write is worth a read.

No, no its not. The only thing rank has any effect on (besides posting limits) is whether or not a sig campaign will take you.

@OP if you have a lot of experience to share, do so and your forum rank will increase as well.

I have sent you a PM, would like to know the shipping to Israel for 3x coins.
Thanks.

Sorry, saw your PM this morning but had to head out before I could get you a quote. I'll be home in a couple of hours and I'll pm you then.
993  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Silver and Gold Bullion at Low Prices! Updated 9/22/16 GOLD SALE! on: September 23, 2016, 11:38:40 AM
What is a process? I'm sending you BTCs and you ship me the bars?

Yup, I've got them on hand. Its a direct sale, I don't drop ship anything.
994  Economy / Reputation / Re: Escrow Obligations? on: September 23, 2016, 12:21:07 AM
So the first week was paid out, the second week started, and they wanted to cancel partway into the second week? Have you considered a partial payout to the users? If they canceled 1 day into the week, pay 1/7th, 2/7ths, etc?

Obviously, the best thing to do is figure it out with the people running the campaign. Your obligation is to keep the funds safely and then distribute as necessary in case of a conflict. Seeing as a conflict has arisen, I'd say the best course of action is for you to act on behalf of the participants, and negotiate a fair deal.
995  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Silver and Gold Bullion at Low Prices! Updated 9/22/16 GOLD SALE! on: September 23, 2016, 12:14:11 AM
Sorry not much has been updated inventory wise for a week or so, but all prices updated today. I've got a big order in store that I'm trying to accumulate additional funds for.

Because of this, I'm going to offer a special sale on all gold products. I will offer all 5g/10g bars at SPOT PRICE~! This is a limited time offer for the sake of ordering new inventory.

Anyone who purchases bullion knows that gold is incredibly if not impossibly hard to find without a premium, and even more so for fractional pieces like my 2.5/5/10 gram bars. Do not miss out on this sale, chances are good no one will ever offer it again.
996  Other / Meta / Re: Mods mods mods on: September 21, 2016, 06:23:21 PM
So can a notice board tell you where to put something. You must atlesst make a list of trusted sellers

Well, it should be easy enough to categorize where people should post things, but occasionally people either don't know a section exists, theres some ambiguity in the subject matter, or they just don't care, and things are put out of place.

So heres my hypothetical for a list of trusted sellers:

Of course me!
anyone who secretly sends me a pm and a fee!
longtime trustworthy members to disguise those that pay me that fee

Two of those three categories are an issue. Moderators aren't screened for trustworthiness before they are made moderators. The only thing they need is to be understanding of the rules and some interpersonal skills. They should not be in charge of regulating business.

The best solution is for people to do their own due diligence and use escrow.
997  Other / Meta / Re: Mods mods mods on: September 21, 2016, 05:38:02 PM
Separate the buyer and seller account put additonal verification documents for seller before he can post an ad. And suspend a seller account if there is a dispute so he may no longer scam anymore people.

The issue with that, is this isn't an auction site or online retail site. There are no buyer/seller accounts, just regular forum accounts. Aside from the change in services that would need to be provided here, that would actually open up a whole mess of legal trouble. If you want a safe buying/selling experience, use a market platform. This is just a forum, people can post classified if they want, but moderators don't do much in the market section besides help people put their threads in the right place.
998  Other / Meta / Re: Mods mods mods on: September 21, 2016, 05:24:22 PM
Oh finally one woke up. Can I tip some advice to reduce scammers ?

Sure thing. On an unrelated note, making a thread in the computer hardware section named "Mods mods mods" isn't typically the best way to get a fast response. As much as I'd like to take credit for a 1 minute response time, it was entirely luck. Moderators don't typically refresh the pages of their sections every minute looking for tips.

Next time, try posting in meta if its a forum related concern. PMing an appropriate moderator, or reporting the post/thread if thats the appropriate course of action. In your case, if you wanted to suggest tips on how to reduce scammers, posting in Meta would be the place to do so.
999  Other / Meta / Re: Mods mods mods on: September 21, 2016, 05:12:55 PM
Should be in Meta unless this is a joke I suppose.

I haven't heard of any moderators selling their accounts. If they did, I suppose they would ask Theymos to remove them from a moderator position first.
1000  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 25 pesetas gold (Spanish coin from 1877) on: September 20, 2016, 08:30:51 PM
Well you can't compare this coin with mine.
In this coin you can't even see the numbers and pictures properly.  It's damage.  Mine is much better conserved just look my pictures.

Speculating on condition is obscenely difficult in the real numismatic game. If you think its in good condition, get it graded. I've been watching this thread since I'm potentially interested, but based on how everything has been going, it would have to be graded before I could give you an accurate offer. That would also save the trouble of having to get the coin authenticated to make sure its real.

If its graded somewhere in the MS category, it will be worth around $500+ depending on how high it goes, and at that point I'd be interested. If it graded in the XF-AU range, I wouldn't be very interested.
