1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino/gambling center near an institution of learning? on: June 14, 2024, 07:19:02 PM
Do you think having a casino or any gambling center close to an institution of learning, will influence the students somehow or should I say be a positive or negative reinforcement on them, in anyway?

Thoughts?

Academy center is an opportunity place where any business can settle down be it food business, drinks, selling of fashion and many more and I think casino is just one of them, so I don't think it's a bad thing as long as the academy management doesn't see anything it. I think it will be easy to make money from such places since students loves gambling but I think as a student who understands what he is doing, he will know the right time to gamble and wouldn't try it.

On a second thought, I'm not sure about the particular gambling center you are talking about, literally students have phones and today, majority of students play online and doesn't like to show public attention that they gamble, business wise it might not even generate a lot of income and it wouldn't really have effect on the studentsas many of people assume from the negative comments.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: June 14, 2024, 07:01:10 PM
Gambling is generally very harmful to an individual, because if a gambler participates in gambling, he is doing wrong from the society's point of view. Because a gambler is an abomination in the eyes of society, and among them if he becomes addicted again becomes the worst cause. As you can see, a gambling addict can never contribute to society. And a threat to the family, he tries to make gambling losses more than what he normally earns. That is why he is identified as a bad person in the eyes of the society.

Gambling is harmful when you bet with the amount that is bigger and can make you regret. Have you ever gamble with money that can't even buy you a plate of rice and you feel unsafe and regret before? I think no and that's because it's little and that is something that you can't regret or think it will hurt you but try gambling with amount that you know you can't afford to lose like your 6 month signature payment and you lose it, you will fee it on your ass and when you try it with your savings, that's when you will understand the the effects of gambling better.

Gambling is hurtful when you go beyond your limit and it's because we see it as an place to make money, when you see it as a place to have fun and money, you wouldn't think about the money all the time and the thoughts of exceeding your limit will never cross your mind. However, generally few people makes money frkm gambling if we want to be honest with ourselves, the rest makes nothing but loss all the time and yet they never give up.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 14, 2024, 06:49:08 PM
Well now we can only hope that Erik Ten Hag will be able to make Manchester United return to their optimal performance next season and produce good results like Manchester United in the first season Ten Hag came to this club. And however we realize that the club does not want to take a bigger risk by making the club change coaches. Because it is quite risky if the team gets a worse coach. At least Ten Hag in his first season proved that he was capable of producing good results. Even though in his second season he was not successful, maybe in the third season, namely next season, we will be able to see Ten Hag again making good results at Manchester United.

If Chelsea could make a good choice and seal deal with Alex Maresca as the new manager of the club, what exactly is stopping the club from bringing another coach that had a good season. To me, the fact that they are quiet and silent, they are definitely going to use Erik for another season and since he already had a long deal already, he will represent the team for another full season or maybe even more who knows but whoever is controlling the board is making another mistake.

I haven't seen any modifications so far even as other teams are calling other players, perhaps they are making some moves under the ground but they need to cool off some guys who had many injuries last season instead of benching them for the whole season, and should never make that mistake of signing expensive players again, they are not worth it and he should do something about that floppy Onana.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Committing mistakes helps us to become a responsible gambler. on: June 14, 2024, 06:14:58 PM
Of course, it is not in our mind and we try to avoid mistakes but still, it comes to us no matter what we do. But this thing sends us a message that every mistake we make has a positive result and one thing is that we improve and change our style to a better one. We could just think that we have to limit our gambling time, stop being greedy, and avoid addiction because we already know the outcomes as it happened to us in the past and we don't let it happen again.

Therefore, I would say that we don't have to be afraid of committing mistakes because this also helps us to see things that we need to change and become a responsible gambler.

There are intentional mistakes and the unintentional ones, the unintentional ones can result from wagering your total balance in a single bets instead of just some fractions and you didn't check until the games selected has started, a another one can comes from when you make wrong selection and you didn't make a review before staking money on the game and you didn't notice until after the games has started, this are honest mistakes that can happen to anoy one.

The intentional ones that you do might be gambling without having understanding of what you are betting and you decide to give a it try, gambling when you are staking money that was borrowed, betting money without having a skills are all type of mistakes one should never try because they are intentionally done and it's something you can work on, it's something you can eliminate but as you said, you wouldn't learn from some mistakes until you experienced it.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which casino would you trust more: one that requires KYC or one that doesn't? on: June 14, 2024, 06:04:22 PM
Let's talk about KYC and non-KYC casinos. There are many casinos in the space, and probably most of them require KYC (Know Your Customer) since they hold a license. However, some do not promote that requirement. In fact, I've read comments mentioning that there are casinos which initially claim they don't require KYC but later do, based on their own judgment.

So, if we could find a casino that genuinely adheres to what they advertise (whether as a non-KYC or KYC casino), which one would we trust to gamble with? Additionally, if you have doubts, what are the risks you might be taking that could bother you while regularly gambling at such a casino?

It's not all casino that request for KYC are actually licensed to operate in some regions, sometimes they are just doing a preventive measures to see people who abuse privileges such as the bonuses events and also know people who cheat their ways in their Casino. They used KYC to prevent future law enforcement and been sue just incase they are been accused of one, they can counter it by saying their platform doesn't do any of thag and will walk away peacefully.

It doesn't matter about KYC, we have seen casino that scam people despite been asking for KYC, some of them refused to pay some users because of some reason best known to them even when the users are been KYC from beginning and some casino that doesn't have KYC has also banned some people from playing. All I can say is that when choosing a casino, make sure that it has history of good reputation so you don't have to worry about all these KYC or not.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 12, 2024, 09:44:30 PM
Inter Milan can actually be said to be in a more worrying position than Barcelona. But fortunately this club is trying to recover their finances quite well. In fact they have always been very effective in shopping for players. And what amazes me about Inter Milan is that even though this club seems to always be able to make a profit from the transfer market. And this has made this team able to survive until now. But that is not enough to pay off their quite large debt. And yes, it is reported that now Inter Milan has transferred ownership to Oaktree. But I don't know the truth of the news yet.

Inter made good amount of money from selling Andre Onana deal sold to Manchester united but what I notice with some of this top players teams, immediately they leave their respective clubs for another team, their performance decline sharply. Personally, I feel Onana tried when he was in Inter but his performance was wack throughout, I didn't even know who convince Manchester united to buy him from Inter but it seem to be a good profit for them.

I admire one thing about Inter, they might have not had the opportunity to do well in Champions League and the rest of the tournaments but they do well in Seria A and Copa Italia, and they make money from selling their players in expensive deals to Premier League men who need good strong hold. It's better to make money and win domestic Leagues than struggle to win Champions leagues and yet nothing in the end.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is a fun activity but it has some potential to be profitable sometimes on: June 12, 2024, 09:34:38 PM
I've made some profitable bets especially in sportsbook but I won't consider those much profitable because the bets I have placed were of low value and that's why the earned profit was also low. Most of the profits were with very low odds and that's why I just ignore those profits and enjoy the fun part of gambling.

I must say that I'm not among those lucky ones and haven't yet made huge profits in gambling but I want to know that do we have some of those lucky ones on this forum who have made exponential profits in gambling? If yes then kindly share your gambling story to inspire others.

There wouldn't be evolution of gambling to this stage where we are right now without money been involved in gambling, it's the outmost reason why you see new casino popping up everyday in this forum, the interest is money and so is the individuals involves in it. Money brings motivation for everything, even with your skills you need money to replenish and make use of that skills to make more money, if gambling is not money why on earth would everyone run after bonus to make good use of it.

There is fun in gambling, no doubt about at that money is what inspire everyone to gamble, the passion for watching sports is money, who wouldn't be happy when they make money from gambling. However, it's not a good thing when you place too much priority on money, you will lose more times than you can count on the times you win and you may even enter addiction mode when your taste in money becomes the only motivation for gambling.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is AI going to affect gambling in any way ? on: June 12, 2024, 09:03:07 PM
AI will surely affect gambling in the area of Analysis and predictions which already people are using AI, but the truth is I do not believe there would be any greater chance of profitability using AI, Gambling site would create an alternative system to avert such and can also make rules or protocols to detect use of it, of which AI cannot really tell because we have different gambling sites/casinos so I believe the data will be irregular unless gambling was a unified system like Trading then her application would have been a bit relevant.

I'm not sure AI can actually analyze and make good predictions for people. Remember that even as a bettor that gambles using your own brain to make analysis, some of the bets that you lose is not because you didn't make a wise decision, it's because the outcome is bigger than what you can control. Haven't you use a big game to bet against a small club and yet the minor team you never expect beat the major team, it happen and you can't help it but accept it that way.

Do you also know that emotions is what AI can't predict, players can fight in a field over argument and one may over react or go extra length and then bag a red card, this is what AI can't do. You don't know if anyone can go injury, it can happen anytime any moment as I said, some situations aren't something you can control, they are part of he game and no matter you try to avoid them, they must surely happen.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to resolve gambling related wallet issues on: June 12, 2024, 08:52:56 PM
Creating this thread for us to discuss what ways to resolve wallet blacklist on exchange because of gambling related issues.

What motivate me to start this thread is a recent event with a popular exchange which freezes a customer account because of funds received from gambling site as rewards, so in this kind of situation where a wallet got blacklisted what are the ways to go about redressing and to redeem the situation legally.

Can we have the list of the exchanges to be precaution about this act!
I don't think an exchange has the right to do these unless the casino is know for some kind of shady activities and who on earth is going to bet on a shady casino? There is no way you can make withdrawals from casino that is known for been blacklisted or there is something they must have done to be blacklisted. I don't think users are supposed to be affect with any actions, the casino should be contacted for effective way to resolve this issues instead of holding user funds.

I think if a situation like this arises, you have to right to sue the exchange or involve law enforcement if necessary, they will ask for proof of funds if you really won the money from the exchange and if you submit a proof as one, a reputable excba get wouldn't hold your money down, they are going to unfreeze your money and allow you trade or use it but I think it's better you involved law enforcement to make it quick and faster because some exchanges are very stubborn and corrupt.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 12, 2024, 08:42:56 PM
I don't know why but I feel the only reason why people are now of a different opinion about ten hag is maybe due to the fact that he actually won the FA cup in the last game of the season because I believe that this man has obviously gotten some support back because of this trophy, i mean this is actually the same person that the whole united team and fans wanted him out because of how badly Manchester united actually performed but now it seems he won the FA cup and then everyone is now thinking other wise.

They were they in Europa League 2022 and they didn't reach the final, that was when the got evicted from the knockout stage of the Champions League and did some play off and they couldn't win the final match, what is that assurance they are going to win this one, the team doesn't look that energetic and very okay, even if he remain the better option for the management to lead the team, how are the going to win the Europa when team like Leverkusen were humbled by Atalanta in the final.

Erik or no Erik, there should be a mass substitution of some players, I don't know where to place Rashford but he had one of the worst season this time and if there is no better plan for him in the future, they should sell him and buy some players they will be using. He was a useful attack for Manchester united but I don't know what went wrong between him and Ten, there relationship is not cordial and no bond again, he better sell them off for new ones.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be wealthy you need action on: June 09, 2024, 07:40:59 PM
Desire, effort and failure are processes in which the main thing that must be instilled is commitment to what we have intended. If you want to invest in BTC, for example, if you haven't started and continue to commit, I think we will never be able to feel what people have said, only negative issues will keep coming and going through our minds.

People will believe it if they have come and proven that it is true for you.

Things doesn't matter, at long last you realized that situation in real-life is different from what is been discussed. Wealth can be discussed, analyzed and been advice to anyone but it's not something you can actualize in a short period of time and wealth is not centered in Bitcoin, it can come from anywhere, we have some plenty of opportunities everywhere to make money and to make wealth without necessary using Bitcoin all the time as reference for making money.

I have just accepted the faith that no matter amount of effort put in place to make money, everyone can't be wealthy, it's not because we lack the power, that's just the cruel principle of life, some people will be poor, some people will be middle class, some people will be above middle class and few will be rich but in anything that you do, please avoid the poor class.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Better Money: Gold, Fiat, Or Bitcoin? on: June 09, 2024, 07:14:37 PM
This is something that some people still don't understand at the moment, so there are still people who like to save fiat money and they even still put it in banks. For me it is very funny when they don't use the money, but rather entrust it to the bank to keep it. Even though he can turn the money around in business and also invest in assets in several places to be able to get a bigger profit in the future than just saving it without turning it over at all. And I think people who still have thoughts like that should read more about proper education about how to manage money and also how to multiply money through investment so that they can be helped a little by inflation conditions.

You're speaking like you don't have no fiat at all in your account, I'm not sure unless you have a security vault at home to yourself where you keep money everyday. The thing is that saving some fiats isn't something that is bad provided that you do it in small quantity against emergency, you can also keep some to pay cable bills, keep some to pay delivery and also for emergency medical bills, this situation is can't be deny unless you leave in a village and not a remote area.

It's only bad when you save all your money because you don't want to use the money for that time and you entrust it into the hands of the banks, this is not helpful at all because your money is going to lose value and the banks will be the one using it for investment, and after some years of savings, you will found out that th money has reduce some value most especially if you are coming from a country that has high inflation, what you bought for $1 will be selling for $1.5 after sometimes.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: True wealth comes from income when you sleeping but earning on: June 08, 2024, 06:52:31 PM
Money in your wallet don't bring more money so you spend it and it's gone.
So If you try to look for good Investment opportunities early like was doge or shiba even with 2$ wich is nothing to risk you do right thing.
3 golden ways are:staking, Investing and DCA.
If you keep those things going on then it's impossible that you don't earn money when you sleeping.
For staking i have different wallets and on exchangers and different coins
No matter how little you earn by doing nothing but if you can earn it you make more money from money.
My number one thing now is crypto staking on many different exchangers and self custody wallets stablecoins and altcoins.

How much exactly are you earning from staking? For 4% yearly locking of your coins with exchange without freedom of using your coins when you want and you call that thing passive income? Common my friend, that's not passive, that's a fraction an exchange is given you for given out your coin for liquidity so they can have much money to serve customers and I'm return they get big cut while they give you chicken profits, you don't gain anything meaningful in staking a coin unless you run a validator for some network.

Have you consider what will happen to your coins if the exchange you stake your coins get hack or you think it's not possible? Kucoin was hack $200m, it took the grace of some law enforcement before that money was recover and had it been they didn't took fast action, a lot of people would have lost money so much and that doesn't stop the fact that it might not happen again. Don't lose everything because of a small profits that is worth noting.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think you should invest in Bitcoin instead of burning your money in fire on: June 08, 2024, 06:33:22 PM
The most difficult journey of a student's life begins in the years after graduation, when your savings or investments may come in handy.
If a student invests in coins like bitcoin without burning $2500-3700$ in his education life and also while he is busy establishing himself, this amount of money will power the way. Many may say that bitcoin risk has little guarantee of future profits but smoking guarantees that you will die very soon. I want to say that since I took the risk, why am I not in Bitcoin!
I have one regret because I have been through this cycle. I know and also know my community who is doing what how. I don't know if there are such members in this forum, but maybe there are many who have grown up or are in this cycle, to them I would like to tell them to quit smoking and start saving money and invest in Bitcoin and ensure a bright future.

Your advice is very bad and not encouraging my friend. You don't like education perhaps else I don't see the reason why someone will want people ditch education and then invest into Bitcoin, not proper in my opinion. What if there is not investment like Bitcoin, will you say the same thing? How can you even advice people to buy Bitcoin with education money when it's not like it's guaranteed they are going to make it here. There is opportunity everwhere, if you don't make it here you might make it from another place.

What I expected you to say is this, we all know that education is not free in this generation but if you have the means, go for it and get the certificate, the end is worth it and you will enjoy everything later when you have work and then when the money comes later, you can invest in Bitcoin. The price of Bitcoin isn't a stable thing that will grow forever, it goes up and do correction, the last time it went down to as low as $15k because of somethings that happened to the market, there is nothing guaranteed that it wouldn't go back there and it might even go down and not necessarily to that level, they can buy when it goes there and invest with the money they have to afford.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is bitcoin future roles in Finance? on: June 08, 2024, 04:47:38 PM
It has the potential to revolutionize the way we think about money, payments, and even the structure of financial systems. Some see it as a digital gold, a store of value similar to precious metals. Others see it as a medium of exchange that could challenge traditional currencies. Its decentralized nature and limited supply make it appealing to those who are wary of central banks and government control.

I'm not sure about revolutionary about payment system. Do you see what Bitcoin mempool change to yesterday when the price fell sharply? The mempool went as high as $50 per a single input and output transaction and it has been slowly coming down now to 50sats/vbyte for high priority, this is not and will never be affordable for people, there is no way this is changing the financial system when other payments system like light app such as zelle and cashapp charge less.

However, I give into the financial money thinking, it has been able get get the attention of high profile like Blackrock and many more. Some are partnering with Coinbase and some US companies to push Bitcoin and that's good for revolution of money, they all want to put money into Bitcoin so they can grow their money more and more and gradually if they succeed in this phase, more bull run that will be coming there is going to be more of them coming to buy Bitcoin.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't advice anyone to invest on Bitcoin if he doesn't have Alt. income on: June 08, 2024, 04:02:53 PM
Investments do not guarantee instant profits, you need to make it work first before you can see essential profits. So if you are investing in order to get rich quick, you are on the wrong track. And if you invest and have plans to rely on it for survival, it won’t certainly work in all angles. Investing should come as an additional source of income, not as a major source for survival so that you won’t see yourself starving to death in the end.

All quick get rich investment are scams as I have never in my life see anyone that works, the ones that stood it time to work don't exceed maximum of 2 months before they fold and then disappear. If you must invest into anything, you have to understand that you need patience and the return on the investment must be moderate but I guess because Bitcoin and crypto has spoilt a lot of people because of these profits, we don't look twice before making mistakes on any investment.

I'm not the type that will bring anyone to invest in Bitcoin but if they insist that I should help them, I will not reject because if you do, they will feel you don't want to put them through but my first cautions comes before anything, I will tell them the risk involves and things they will likely see in the future and if they accept, then we can proceed with whatever they tell me to teach them about Bitcoin.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping your assets safe in the crypto space.. on: June 08, 2024, 03:57:02 PM
One constant fact that I've noticed since I got into crypto is that the moment a project or a company starts getting popular or begins to gain a huge follower base, it starts to attract scammers like Sugar to ants.

It honestly gets annoying after a while, I can't join a Telegram or Discord group without being DMed by a dozen of them, fake links flying here and there. A recent example is Bitget releasing a couple of articles to inform their users about phishing and a particular malicious browser extension named "AggrTrade". I've seen similar notifications from Binance, bybit also telling their users to be careful

Still, I guess we can only just remain careful to avoid falling victim to scammers after all there isn’t much that can be done. What have you guys been doing to keep your assets safe though? Drop some comments, let's learn.

You should know that anywhere that money is involved, you should know well enough that scammers are going to be present their and not because it's the money that draw their attention, they know that their are people there that are not security conscious about how to safeguard their money and that's their victims they come after. Sometimes, these scammers just happen to be similar people like other investors but because they are smart about how the project works, they look for the loopholes and then use that to extort individuals.

It's because of this scams some projects don't create telegram channels for their followers, what they do is they create Twitter/X account for public announcements and then use Discord for chats since Discord servers can't be clone like Telegram where groups and channels can be impersonated and that can result into thousands of people been victim. Just know that no matter how careful the team are, people will lose money in crypto as some investors are new and don't understand how crypto work until they become a victim.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest Only In a Coin that Increase in Value in this Bull Run. on: June 07, 2024, 09:06:40 PM
I think it just depends on each individual's taste, sometimes people like short term investments and there are also long term ones, of course the coin in question has different characteristics, but if you choose an altcoin that has good fundamentals I think the potential for rising higher not only in the bullrun this time, it usually continues as long as the crypto market is still improving.

Who dare try invest into altcoins for long term if you never bought in pre-sale? That's a wrong move for 90% of all most altcoins in the crypto market because most of them go to sleep mode immediately after the bull run instead of progressing gradually, some don't make growth again in some other bull runs that comes later that's why investment into altcoins remain short term, put some money make profits and take profits that's the only way about it.

If you are making a long investment to any altcoins, let it no go beyond Ethereum and BNB, that's the best I can recommended since it's having similar growths with Bitcoin when it comes to ETF and also demand while BNB been an exchange coin will always remain utility to Binance even in many decades to come but you see the rest of altcoins, don't even try and hold them forever, buy low and sell high.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have you blacklisted? on: June 07, 2024, 08:51:03 PM
Has anyone blacklisted any altcoins recently?Share your blacklist! Let's help each other steer clear of trouble!

Anything that has NFTS included in their projects, I despise them so much because other than that NFTs thing, they don't have anything valuable about their project, they just be beating around the bush about something people don't care about, they are just hype without anything realistic to prove even though ART world is actually expensive, the ones in crypto are just money laundering that are bought between two known people just to avoid law enforcement.

The second one is BRC tokens, till date I still don't understood the use of BRC tokens, sometimes I just think we love illusions and lies for each other or perhaps the Bitcoin developers were trying to make Bitcoin network more busy so miners can make more money and wouldn't be discourage as halving is reducing block reward every for years but I haven't seen anything special about BRC tokens.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: June 07, 2024, 08:26:49 PM
If you ask like this Is it possible to inherit a debt? the answer is yes most of the debt is inherent to their kid or relatives when the person that has debt is die, and in this case the debt to other user not a debt with bank or loan App like Defi or something like that.

and if the question like this Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? Just don't do gamble frennn if you don't have money I mean what are you doing if you still insist to do gamble then use a collateral don't inherit your debt to someone else

In this century, I'm not sure if that's possible as most people gives a condition before they give out money and I'm not sure if there is any bank that will give you loan without having a collateral. It's either you have a physical collateral with them or you are a salary earner so they deduct money monthly, they can't give loan without having something they can have access to when you try to default a payment or decide to run away from the country. The only problem I think might happen is that if you died and your salary don't come again that's when they might perhaps come after the relative if there is any agreements of sort before the deceased died.

I'm not sure there is any gambling that offer "play and later", you must pay up before you are allow to play unless when there is bonus for you. So I'm not sure if a gambler would even allow this from customers, no money no gambling for anyone.
