41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 01, 2024, 07:20:16 PM
With the current performance of Manchester United this season in the Premier League, Manchester United can't beat Arsenal at Old Trafford. Arsenal will not want to drop another point in the Premier League because it will affect them in the race for this season's Premier League title. Arsenal has already made the same mistake they made last season that cost them the Premier League when Aston Villa defeated them at Emirate Stadium.

I want to be believe you as well, I want to believe that Arsenal can take down Manchester united without putting much effort but I don't think the United I know will allow this guys to go for free, it's when you least expect something good from them you will see the soar high. I hope they don't destroy the winning steak Arsenal are bringing after their numerous losses against Bayern and Aston Villa, a lost from moment from now is going to stop Arsenal from becoming the Champions.

Manchester City are still serious but my mind if telling me that Tottenham is going to be there nightmare, no way they are going to allow Manchester City to go scot free, they have win some matches against them. If the can just lose this one, then the assurance of Arsenal has just been double, they can actually win this league even by a small margin of points.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 01, 2024, 07:06:10 PM
Seems not any rumor yet Barcelona will sell Robert Lewandowski at the next window transfer opening, actually he had good performance in this season with Barcelona after becoming top scorer teams by scoring 16 goals and 8 assists of 30 matches in La Liga. Indeed has bigger offering from Saudi Arabia I doubt Robert Lewandowski will offer for leaving European team and he want play on the higher level competition around one or two season later.

It's too early to speak about is future with Saudi Arabia, it's like saying he is due but look at his performance for Barcelona this season, there is no any team that come close to what he has done. If they should sell him, they would definitely has a replacement, they can't improvised like the way Real Madrid were able to cope when Benzema their only striker left for Saudi Arabia.

Quote
Robert Lewandowski's contract runs until 2026 and Barcelona has two years left before selling him to other team if won't become free agent, I think recruit new striker need time for adapting and I doubt will score more goals than first appearance Robert Lewandowski with Barcelona success becoming top scorer.

I think clubs are always careful when it comes to signing of players, Lewandowski for example extended his contract to 2026 and for them to come to this agreement, they obviously want him to stay so they aren't selling him under any circumstances and if they want to change their mind as usual, they don't have the intention to let him go as a free agent, they want to make some money from him since he is one of their most paid players, no way he would go like that without the club fain anything.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: May 01, 2024, 06:56:03 PM
Upon all those sources and explanation, I still need the community input on the argument to know if gambling is a HOBBY so that I and the person will understand more.
Cheers.

Gambling can be considered as hobby, it's something you do at your leisure time, when you are free and feel like doing and you don't see it as been forced or do when you don't have an interest but on the other hand, calling gambling a hobby is subjective to individuals. If not that money is actually involved in gambling, some people would never have gamble for once in their life, they don't like the stress of trying to win the house or make list of matches but because of the money, the just have to do it especially when they win most often.

Some situations where you see someone with debts as a result of gambling all the time, I don't think that can be considered as hobby, someone that is addicted with debts around his next can't be considered as hobby, that one is force because they are only trying to make money in their head, forcing the luck that may never come and be worried all the time, that's not a hobby thing to do.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: May 01, 2024, 06:48:54 PM
Most rich people are into gambling not mainly to earn money but for other reasons. Hence, they don't have the desire to gamble all the time. They usually select what game or sports they will venture into. In most cases, the sports they are passionate about. But for most gamblers in the middle class or poor, as long as they see good opportunity, they will bet on it.

But for those people who gamble just because they want to earn money, gambling will be detrimental to their small money left.

No way! I refused to believe your first paragraph. It's like you are saying rich people goes into business because they don't like money but because they just want to make the money, that's not true. Gambling is place primary for making money, any one can change their opinion but that's the truth and nothing but then truth. However, a rich person might be playing for fun and less motivation for money like the way a poor person would have in the first place.

If the casino are doing it for free, I'm sure they would by now be out of the he business, they are there to make money because they spend money on marketing to get your attention, they pay you when you win and they get paid when you lose and that's how it work continuesly until you either win them or you lose everything to them.

46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should only hold Bitcoin on: April 28, 2024, 08:34:17 PM
What I am ultimately getting at here in the theme of my post is that there is no other coin besides Bitcoin, which you can trust can be held over the long term. What are your thoughts?

You said a lot of paragraph but to me, you didn't say anything because holding Bitcoin isn't just all that, people hold Bitcoin because it's less risky when you look at it with other altcoins and it's mor more secure but you are saying another validations. People buy Bitcoin because it doesn't depend on other coins decisions but on its own, rest assure that if you hold Bitcoin in a year after halving you are likely to get a return under standard condition of markets.

However, altcoins are very risky, you are likely to lost your money invested if you are not proactive in your research and you might get scam aside from looking at what the market altcoin does. People don't feel safe when it comes to other coins but Bitcoin win this in every aspect which is why it remained the best coin over the years cryptocurrency has been in existence.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: April 28, 2024, 08:21:56 PM
Do you think that dollar can end poverty? Bitcoin is just a currency, and was designed for nothing other than that. Don’t mistake the volatility as an intentional thing wherein you can “invest”. People are investing in Bitcoin but that’s far from its purpose, and the government is likely happy because they don’t want people to understand the power of Bitcoin when used as a currency. Bitcoin can’t end poverty, no currency can Smiley

Despite all you said, we can see the likes of Blackrock today investing billions into Bitcoin and encouraging people to buy more and what do you think is the purpose of that? To double their wealth and grow higher than where they are currently but I'm not sure the same goes with a poor person. They don't have the capital to even invest, if it was then that the price was low, they might still have the chance but I'm not sure if that will be possible with todays price of Bitcoin, this is to say that the rich continue to be reach while the poor continue to be poor.

Then when the price used to be low, there are money that would be easier to make with the help of its volatility, imagine having nothing and then you bough $10 worth of Bitcoin in 2012 and you just found you have access to the wallet, there is no way yiu will remain poor after that discovery. I just think that it's right now that Bitcoin is serving it's purpose, you can make money from it if yiu don't have huge amount of money.
48  Economy / Economics / Re: It's better to invest now than to regret it in a hospital bed. on: April 28, 2024, 08:10:17 PM
Congratulations to those who have already planned to invest and those who have Bitcoin investments and hope you will hold your investment for long time but to those who are still planning to invest I would advise you to invest in Bitcoin even if you think about your future. If we can invest now thinking about the future then this investment will be very useful for us at a stage in the future which we may not be able to imagine now.

If I don't does that means that my life has been fuck? Just know that even if you give some people free money to buy Bitcoin, many of them will spend the money on things they need and want, they wouldn't spend a single cent on Bitcoin, this is to tell you that not everyone will be a fan of Bitcoin nor be moves by the gains here, some people are in this same forum that has never hold Bitcoin before in their life and you can't blame them because they chose not to hold.

There are many ways to make money, Bitcoin is just one of it and perhaps the most quick way to make money on the internet but not everyone will famz it as a priority investment. There are people that are going to watch Bitcoin price grow from here and form a new all time and they will not invest. Some people are like that and you can't change anything about it and that doesn't mean they would cry later, they might even be doing better in other investment than you because of their capital powers.
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If all your wages were paid in USDT, would you accept it? on: April 28, 2024, 08:01:57 PM
If your salary was not US dollars, but USDT, would you dare to ask for it? Although USDT can facilitate transfers and cross-border payments, thinking about the fluctuations and risks makes me feel a little panicked! It can’t be used everywhere in daily life, What do you think? Come and chat!

What do you mean by fluctuation? You mean depegging from US dollar value?
Let's do some fact check how many times USDT has depegged from US since they went life since 2014.

This is a chart of USDT since it was launched back in 2014 to now, it has depegged from USD price to $0.6 and that has something do with the authenticity of their audit regarding usd in the vault and the USDT printed, there was trust then but people has learn to trust USDT, they are the oldest and far the largest in term of market cap.

I'm not sure about other stable coin but USDT remain the best stable coin to use in crypto and yiu shouldn't have anything to fear using it, getting paid as a medium of exchange and also to hold value.
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Exchanges Nowadays on: April 28, 2024, 07:51:13 PM
Used to be super active but got burned by most of the old closures (Cryptsy, btc-e, Bter, etc), so where is the best place to trade nowadays?  I have a Coinbase account already along with Kraken but not sure of other options that may be better.  Thanks!

If you need to know more about live exchanges(centralized), you should make use of Coingecko to check all active ones, they have their ratings included in 10/10 but in not sure which one is the best but I believe the ones that have 10/10 ratings and 9/10 ratings have huge liquidity and you can make exchange most of the top coins without any problem.

Try and do some comaprism with volumes too, sometimes exchanges tend to display huge number of volume from the exchange but sometimes they are from wash trading, so make the comparison with coingecko or coin market cap to see the real volume, they have a way of generating the real volume from exchanges using API, you will know quickly the exchange that is into wash trading and the ones that are into real trading, even decentralized that used bots, you can use this method to fish out wash trading platforms.

51  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a lifetime job. on: April 27, 2024, 08:14:51 PM
I'm sure not all traders will agree with me but some could possibly be on my side...

Here are the reasons why;
 1. It is quite stressful - old traders will soon give up due to mental health problems
 2. It is not enjoyable anymore - nobody will stay long in a job that they no longer find themselves comfortable with especially if you are not earning well.
Most of the time we feel this during bear season.
 3. Trust issue due to Scam growth - traders never find it safe to use exchanges, even big exchanges.

You are wrong with your assumptions. I don't know for crypto traders but I know for sure that we have forex who took their time and trade from morning to evening and they do this everyday to make money from trading, now why do you think so or because of your questions? Alright, I will answer to best of my knowledge.

1. You are into signature campaign in this forum and you voluntarily do it so you get paid, it's stressful and yet you do it every week so you can get paid but you are here saying trading stressful. There is nothing in this life that isn't stressful, even stealing something that is not yours is stressful isn't.

2. I will still use your signature to answer this as well. Doing mandatory posts might look enjoyable but you do it any ways so you get paid, I hope I have answered this one too.

3. Your last question tells you don't understand trading. Trading is different from buying coins, what you just described is buying of coins and not trading.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will still be my choice this year. on: April 27, 2024, 06:53:27 PM
Making Ethereum your choice is not a bad idea but hope your ready and willing to accept whatever maybe the outcome, we know they have a very strong team but that doesn't mean you should trust them because anything can happen, I know you have done your analysis but sometimes our analysis can be wrong I mean it may be far from what the team is planning. Like I said in my previous post investing in big coins is always a long term investment unless there is a change in the coin behavior.

What do you mean by trusting the team? Don't you know that ethereum has been around for more than 9 years! Despite the fact that crypto are risky and the teams are also risky, Ethereum and Vitalik Buterin is the least person that would scam you, there is nothing to fear about the team. They have more update and many things from their road map for 2024 and I think it's a better choice of investment for 2024.

If you are considering ethereum as a primary coin to buy, I suggest you to try coins that are highly groomed by ethereum team as well, I mean projects that are supported by ethereum foundations like the Optimizm, Arbitrum. These projects are well engineered by the ethereum team and are working hand in hand to support ethereum network, they have utility on their own and has on ethereum as secondary layer.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rate of abandoned projects on solana on: April 27, 2024, 05:22:05 PM
From my research I found out that Solana is referred to as high-speed blockchain network, but recently, from my experience it has been for entirely different reason, the network has being at the heart of an unprecedented meme coin frenzy.

It's just a place for their new place to feed, there is nothing spectacular about been a fast network and meme going there. We once had meme of Ethereum and that faded away after some time and we still have Shiba Inu and then BNB became the new place where floki Inu and many came and faded away and now Solana is just another one that will soon fade away.

Quote
Several meme coin projects I bought on Solana has rugged me my hard earn money and a lot of projects are succumbing to rug investors and crypto lovers.

This is nothing new, rug pulls and exit scams happen in many projects, just that people are too greedy to.lool beyond what they see from profits that's why they get scammed. If they had learn form onset, Solana had many rug projects when FTX collapsed but I'm surprised how they were bullish on Solana all of a sudden.

Quote
Yet Solana Blockchain network is paying insipid attention to it or no process of verifying a real project before launch. They give room for every one to launch on their network where by bringing fake or scam projects onboard. And I begin to think otherwise, if they really don't know about all this scam projects.
I stand to be edify as I'll be looking out for your opinion in this thought.!

Solana is a open network, they don't control what people launch on the network and they don't control the scams. Their activities even make sol price to increase, anything that happen is on who buy and who wish to invest. It's better you run your own research before you throw money on any shot coin.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post halving, why are altcoins the most affected on: April 27, 2024, 05:00:08 PM
Bitcoin halving might have come and gone, but we won't forget the immediate impact it had on the crypto market especially altcoins, The immediate impact of the halving this year is not like business as usual when we always have a bull run after the halving event, we are experiencing a decline in price in Bitcoin and the crypto market in general with altcoins the most affected, some altcoins witnessed a 50% decline in price, while most experienced a slight decline in price,  Analytically some investors have predicted a bull run by next year which will also in turn affect the rise in price of some altcoins too, so putting this into consideration there are few altcoins to put our eyes on so we can Hodl which is the ETH and DOGE as they might experience a significant bull run in less than no time,

For every action, there must be an equal reaction you know that right. When Bitcoin was pumping and making moves by 10%, major altcoins where moving on 5x the movement of Bitcoin, now that Bitcoin is falling, you think they are going to moves in shadow like the way Bitcoin is having low volatility? It doesn't work that way, altcoins tend to move down faster the way they move up because they have high volatility.

Altcoins are more risky because of their high volatility, this is why they can do any movement, you can see how meme coins were making 100% in just a week and you expect them to make 5% correction when coming downward, it wouldn't because the way people fomo to buy is the way people fomo to sell, Bitcoin doesn't get a lot of sell pressure like altcoins.

Don't forget that majority of altcoins are shitcoins that are just dump and pump coins, investing is such kind of coins are nothing but disaster, the earlier you ignored, the better for you and your health.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 27, 2024, 04:38:46 PM
Liverpool's collapse started the week before and this week it was confirmed. They are certain to finish 3rd in the league. They must have accepted that Arsenal and Manchester City are much better than them. They won't recover for many years after Klopp leaves. They won't find a manager as good as him. Considering that other English clubs besides City and Arsenal will also rise, this might be the last year Liverpool will see the top 3. They need to do a serious rebuilding after the change of manager. They can't succeed with players like Salah and Nunez anymore.

Liverpool just wasted another opportunity. You will think that EFL trophy made them to relax, they felt off badly and refuse to make used of this opportunity, how can they miss to use this opportunity very well after standing at the top of the table for many weeks, they were down just 1 match loss and then it increased to wto and less drew matches but right now they drew 9 matches and total loss of 4 matches, they can't far go than this third place.

Now that Liverpool will be having a new coach, I hope things changes for better. Arne Slot used to be that favorite manager Tottenham was bidding for but somehow the deal didn't went through and now he is now taking over after Jurgen Klopp because this result are too poor but better they still at the top, they can use this to proceed to the group stage in the Champions League for next season.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: April 26, 2024, 09:27:15 PM
So if you are drunk at night, you wake up sober in the morning and check your wallet or account and find nothing in there, and then when you check the transaction history, you find out you have deposited and gambled all your money in a gambling platform last night when you were drunk, that's the worst feeling ever.

I will call myself stupid and dump to try this kind of a thing. Are there people who does things out of the influence of alcohol and don't really know? Any time I hear this statement, I don't believe it. People actually knows everything they do when they are under the influence of alcohol, the only problem they have is that they don't have the power to actually control how they behave and how to compose when drunk but trust, they know what they are doing when they blame alcohol stupid actions.

There is no reason to try anything finance when one is under the influence of alcohol or anything intoxicated that can take your real sense by doing things you might really regret the following day. You might go to extra length to use your entire savings wight such kind of influence because you will hardly be able to differentiate between left and right.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 26, 2024, 09:19:56 PM
The final game of the Champions League is going to be played at Wembley this year. I think it is a quite nice choice considering its capacity, 90,000.  Smiley

90,000 capacity with 2x or 3x the amount of money they charged in regular matches would bring back the amount the Champions League cup is worth or it might even be expensive than the amount I quote, if PSG becomes the two the that lead it, there is going it be probably more demand from France people since they want their favorite club to own one piece of the Champions League atleast.

Quote
Manchester City could have played in home country if they made it. However they couldn't even reach the semi finals because of Ancelotti's "annoying" style.  Grin  Maybe it is Real Madrid's turn to win the Champions League title for the 15th time in history. Honestly I believe in that a lot considering the remaining teams and their performances. Bayern Munich are currently the one that might cause the biggest problems among them but I don't think even they can eliminate Real Madrid.

I don't want to see what happened in the Afcon this season happen in the Champions League. I think the schedule would probably might have change if Manchester City really made it because what I learned from Afcon, Cote dvoire didn't sell tickets to visiting teams, their home countries were more than 90% in the standium and that affected the way the game continues, nobody could even cheer up the away teams, it's a good thing the host stadium aren't here.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: April 26, 2024, 08:51:06 PM
I think many of us gamble because we want to make more money not just because we don't have. There are people that have the funds to spend and they keep gambling not because they are lacking money but they want to try their luck and make more money. There are many things that are attached to gambling many people need to know and understand because we way we see it might not be the way it ought to be. There are many things we could do to make money for ourselves and gambling is one of it without having to accumulate degrees before we play bets. It is important we know what we are doing before we choose to gamble since this should guide us on the journey of making money.

I think nobody understands this better than you do and I don't think anyone would have explain better than you have explained. I don't want to go by the statistics but many people here gamble because they want to print money from gambling platforms but we have people that are actually have the money and would just bet if they can also win something but they are not as desperate like the majority that are not ready to lose the small they have.

The rich gamble to win but they aren't always as desperate like the poor people but that doesn't mean everyone is not looking for the money in gambling, any time people I hear people saying they gamble for fun it makes me laugh because I think they are just hidding their inner mind as that's not their true intentions.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: April 26, 2024, 08:40:41 PM
Yes, in some ways poor people have an idea of wealth and it is not correct. Some people think that gambling is the means by which they can achieve this, but they are wrong. I also think that they have the wrong priorities in life and borrow money from everyone, only luck has turned to them. Still, you need to value your health, loved ones and family more. Gambling should be on the secondary level, and not on the primary level like many addicted gamblers. The poor especially should not put it first, otherwise they may simply be left without food, and a hungry person can do a lot of bad things because of hunger.

They can actually win wealthy money from gambling, let's forget about this gambling for fun we use as slogan all the time. I have seen and know some street boys that have blown through gambling and have little to know background and wealthy people. What help them was been able to explorr lower lines and been smart in game selection and they boom, the money won is not a one time, the are still winning with their strategies till date.

The only problem with poor people is they don't change tactics, because gambling is working for Mr.A doesn't mean that it will work for you and if it's going to work, you will have to find a way to explore your own options and see the one that works for you and you will be fine.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 26, 2024, 08:34:56 PM
Will Liverpool lose points in this match? I do not think so. They have already lost a lot of points for a few weeks and are far behind in the championship race.
We were talking about them becoming champions a month ago, but they could only win 1 victory in their last 4 matches. I think this situation will not continue like this any longer. Liverpool have had a really bad few weeks, they have to get back to their old form or they will finish the season in a very bad way. They will cause great disappointment

In the last 3 matches of Liverpool, it has been all away matches and they lost like they are no longer in the Premier League, no shade but I'm not sure this one is going to be possible, they can't win the Premier League no matter the effort they put in this matches, not like Arsenal is going to lose two matches in a row nor Manchester City will lose also, they all want to lose and it possible that Liverpool might lose to WestHam.

Manchester City next two matches looks to sure to be won by them but I'm not sure for Arsenal, Bournemouth might looks easy but I'm not sure if it was going to be easy with Tottenham considering the fact that they are also in the tournament to get above the top 4 standing. However, if Arsenal should beat Tottenham, the next team they need to focus will be Manchester and if that goes through, they might smell the Premier League title.
