1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is June a Downturn for the Crypto Market? on: June 13, 2024, 09:49:10 PM
Is it truly a month of downturn, or is this perception based on anecdotal ?
I believe it’s more on your own observation and perception towards the market, there are months that it turn our bullish as much as the bearish months as well. However, I honestly don’t see this month as a time of downturn but most likely just some price correction appears inevitably. After that, we can anticipate to see bitcoin price increasing again, due to its volatility that makes its price hard to predict.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: June 13, 2024, 06:58:50 AM
I saw this article and I'm surprised that we have our Filipino boxer as undercard on this fight.

BOXING Mark Magsayo vs. Eduardo Ramirez

So this fight is this coming June 15? I'm just confuse because the thread title, it's on June 22.

But as this article says again it's only June 15.

Quote
Gervonta Davis vs. Frank Martin fight date, start time
Date: Saturday, June 15
Time: 8pm ET / 1am UK time
Main event ringwalks (approx): 11pm ET / 4am UK time
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: June 13, 2024, 06:14:35 AM

Good luck with your bet! I'm on the same side as you, but I took the spread at -2. I'm planning to double my bet if Dallas wins game 3 because I believe they'll be able to even the series in game 4. Isn't it exciting to see this series going down to a best of 3 after game 4? I think if that's what the fans want to see, the NBA will give it to us.

That's a great catch as I also believe that Dallas will do everything to protect the homecourt edge, and if ever that they will lose again the chance of wnning the title will be more harder, they need to win and bring that momentum back and who knows we might see that chance of seeing the series to a final game 7 do-or-die title game.
It turned out it wasn't.  Smiley

Dallas now down 0-3, this series is not over in paper but we know no team has ever come back from this deficit, so better at this early we already conceid as I'm sure Dallas won't be fighting this uphill battle anymore, they'll probably rest early than going back to Boston for game 5 which they'll likely loss again.

We'll also see the impact of the Celtics not having KP in game 3, as he is listed as questionable, but I believe he will be unlikely to play. The Celtics won't risk aggravating his injury now that they are up 2-0.

I guess Boston will take every consideration if possible to risk KP, he and Jrue are the key advantage giving Dallas that momentum will not be a good option, they will do everything to win as the title is now closer to happen.

KP can rest all he wants because he is not needed anymore. I thought Dallas had the advantage when KP was out but they just could not stop the accurate 3 point shooting of Celtics. Again, that corner shots was deadly. Boston shoots 37% from beyond the arc and they made the timely shots that gave them a comfortable lead.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Parents on childs savings bank accounts are waste of time if not saving on BTC on: June 12, 2024, 04:00:34 PM
Try asking this question to any parent who has has a child in the last five years, they will definitely say they want bank deposits before thinking or committing to bitcoin. This is expected because they are accustomed with banks for years now and bitcoin is indeed something new to them and something that has made the negative news in the mass media.

Only few of the forum users here might actually think about doing savings in bitcoin.

If you ask me, I would suggest both because you need fiat in the long run and bitcoin is a upcoming currency for the next generations.
Even parents of these days would still be hesitant to save in bitcoin not only because it’s not totally accepted globally, but also the risk being contained with bitcoin investment is really high that anytime of the day if you end up with wrong decision making, all your funds will vanish as well. Unlike saving their fiat in a bank, they know that they’ll never lose its value even after couple of years and that made them confident and secured to trust banks over than bitcoin. And to be honest, while other parents might be aware already about bitcoin, but majority are still not sure and are closed to the investment idea when bitcoin is involved.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My deep regret and pain in crypto. on: June 12, 2024, 01:59:11 PM
I think almost everyone would have felt the same feeling since almost everyone would have thought of investing in a shitcoin at some point of time.
Even I had bought some shitcoin few years ago thinking that it will grow huge and I will make huge profits but soon I got a reality check.
I have heard the same story from many people and so the feeling is mutual. Sooner or later everyone gets to know that bitcoin is the real deal.
Good that you have started accumulating bitcoin now which still has a lot of room to grow.
From the term shitcoin, I think that would draw a little hint already that you are investing in a coin with uncertain future, although all coins have really unpredictable future. But I guess if you are deeply convinced to invest on the coin, no one can stop you for that. Until you lose and realized that shitcoins have less chances to survive in the future.

Now, investing into bitcoin is probably your best decision. But let me remind you that bitcoin is a long term investment, so never assume that you will be profitable already in just a short time. Patience is a virtue, and that’s what’s actually needed in your bitcoin investment in order to achieve success and huge profits.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: June 12, 2024, 08:02:48 AM
So for Dallas, still time for them, but game 3 will definitely be crucial, it will be in their homecourt so they needed this win to get that momentum.

I'm going with Dallas at ML like at 1.75.

Good luck with your bet! I'm on the same side as you, but I took the spread at -2. I'm planning to double my bet if Dallas wins game 3 because I believe they'll be able to even the series in game 4. 7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 12, 2024, 06:58:59 AM
Yeap, it's going to be a battle of momentum, just one game at a time, and if they win game 3, the next game will still be in their homecourt so t hey can tie the series and then go back to Boston Garden and hopefully steal one game.

I think Dallas will win if KP will not play, as for the latest update, the big man is questionable.

Porzingis has rare tendon issue in lower left leg, is questionable for Game 3 of NBA Finals

Game 2 was close but not almost, so they need to correct every mistake they have and should play perfect at home and consider it as a do or die game, actually every game as currently being down 0-2, they don't have the odds in winning the series.

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: crypto is actually the future on: June 11, 2024, 09:22:33 PM
Investing in crypto will certainly be very profitable for us now and also in the future,

Investment will always be future-oriented. there is no investment that you make right now and earn right now.
The crypto market has become a concern for investment players in various sectors. some think crypto is a bad investment. but those who have benefited from crypto investments will not say that.

when you have tried several investments other than crypto and then you invest in crypto then you will be able to compare them. I have such a friend who was previously active in the stock market. but after getting to know crypto, he said something amazing.
The key to any investment is choosing the right asset.
Crypto investment is certainly ahead from other forms of investments, despite of its high volatility which majority sees it as a threat more than an asset. But if you are blind about crypto, and would think traditional investment still the best investment so far, then you might be missing a good opportunity to invest and be profitable with crypto.

Crypto is profitable if you know exactly how to handle its risks and maximize its potentials and turn into profits, but if you have no idea on how to make it work, investing in crypto would be a waste of time and money that’s why some didn’t even bother to learn investing on it.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Things to avoid when you earn a lot or become rich on: June 11, 2024, 03:49:36 PM
Most people who normally post there success on the social media always fail to realize the risk it will bring to there life because on a normal they will feel that they are actually helping or motivating people on the things he go through before arriving were he is and there is nothing wrong with it but in other words he is actually telling people how wealthy and rich he is and possibly he could endanger himself by doing that, though is mostly common for those people who started with nothing and become rich later.
I don't want to cut their fun when they are happily sharing their success on social media. That's what success means to them and they want to bring it out to people so that they will be recognized.

But I tell you what, real successful people, they won't be the one to proclaim that they are successful.

Instead, people who are seeing their riches and successes are the ones that will speak for them.
I would agree to that 100%. Those who are actually successful and wealthy do not want to expose theirselves and tell the people their achievements. Instead, they focus more on their own investments silently and adding more wealth in the process.

While those who have just taste the fruit of their success and just started to live in luxury, those are the people who often post more not really to inspire others but to get recognition from those people who are also in the same level with them.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before Trading Bitcoin you should... on: June 09, 2024, 09:57:17 PM
Trading ought to be a passive activity which supports your main job. Trading without another source of income will put pressure on the trader to make wrong decisions.

True and this is very reasonable if we want to understand correctly what exactly is the main purpose of our trading compared to the main job, of course we need additional funds from the results of our main work if at any time needed, because it is not impossible that we sometimes forget to set SL and the price of the coin we trade continues to degrade. This condition comes if we are excited about trading in the coin, especially when we see the opportunity for the lowest price to automatically use the fresh funds.

Trading should only serve as a side hustle, not actually as a major source of income. That’s why quitting your main job and replace with trading, that will be a very risky move since not all traders end up making passive income. Trading is a great and quicker way to find profits, but it’s a way also to lose your funds at an instant. So if you can’t balance both your main job and your side job, it’s better to leave your side job if you aren’t capable also in making even small but consistent profits.

Setting stop loss is crucial when trading, that’s an effective way so we can manage our losses or prevent ourselves from losing a lot. There’s no reason we should forget about it, regardless if you are a beginner in trading.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin gradually turning away from its purpose? on: June 09, 2024, 09:31:43 PM
Like the title explained it all when sighting towards the speculation or trade discussion section I mostly found out that lots of people are gradually turn away the purpose of bitcoin to mainly investment purposes and I mean to asked, was bitcoin created for investment purpose or it's for peer to peer to alternate fiat?

I would love to see different versions of input.
That's a relevant concern these days. There are some regions where Bitcoin payments are conducted fairly often, so Bitcoin does in a way remain an alternative to fiat. Then there is also the usage of Bitcoin for gambling, where Bitcoin is a good alternative to fiat and successfully functions as such. But it's true that more and more people are talking about Bitcoin as something to hodl, as an investment asset. Bitcoin is ultimately what we make of it, and how we collectively use it. It can be both a form of money and an investment opportunity. These two are not mutually exclusive.
Bitcoin is not only limited to a single purpose, but it can do both as a form of money and an investment, that’s how flexible and useful bitcoin is. And as much as people want to use it for fiat alternative, but as long as investing and hodling seem more profitable than spending alone, then it’s not surprising that people would stick to it more. At the end of the day, people acquire bitcoin for money and wealth, and financial security and independence, that’s the most important about it.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet against the club you support? on: June 07, 2024, 02:23:35 PM
The man is working in a club and betting against the gamble. I am not working as an employee in any club and this makes it different. If there is no rules that I can or can not bet against the club that I am employed, why not bet against them if you analyzed and think that the club will lose. I can do it. But provided if not against the rules. As the man is sacked, I think it is against the club rules for a worker to bet against them.
The man is probably sacked from his job on betting against the club the is working with as a point of contact that he could have leaked some secret bargains of the cline probably on a situation of fixed match.

Apparently such employee can not be trusted as the clubs would not be comfortable sharing their official and secret informations with him so, he would become a saboteur to the club and preventing that lead the club to sack him.

That's what you call inside information, and information in betting is vital for a good chance of winning. It's different from fixed game,it would be easier if it was a fixed game but getting information is way better than nothing at all. This would increase your chances of winning, but not guaranteed,  and with this kind of information we can get, we will feel more confident to put bigger bets.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: June 07, 2024, 12:48:32 PM
Same here, with a small amount, it doesn't matter if I lose but I will not go against my instinct this time, not in the NBA finals.

I bet on Dallas as mentioned in my previous post, hoping the game would be fun. However, the game didn't provide much fun as, from the get-go, it was the Celtics who dominated the Dallas Mavericks. I couldn't see the effectiveness of their big men,
We're together on this brother, we're the ones that drew the firstblood for the losers.  Tongue
It's not a big amount but I felt that pain of losing not for my money but for them. And that is because the game 1 seems to be didn't breathe for their end and that's the reason why I felt bad for both sides.
We are gonna get this right in game 2, no more handicap, let's get the Dallas to even the series.
Game 1 was just one game, and this is a long series so it would be stupid for Jason Kidd not to make adjustment when their strategy is proven not working. It's time for the Dallas to surprise the home team in game 2, I don't need a blowout team, I just want to see Dallas winning even in a close game.

Gafford and Lively, who were very limited in this game.
I was waiting for them honestly and thought that Coach Jason Kidd will give them more playing time because of how they did well against the Timberwolves. But because Maxi Kleber is there, he's given more time but I like more the tandem of the two when they are together. I know that Kleber is Kidd's choice but he should have given more playing time to the two when they've got the chemistry already. Anyway, the game 1's done and we have to look forward for the game 2, I don't know if I'll still bet for it but I might change my mind as I want to see Luka lift that trophy. And I didn't know that Luka is already engaged to his fiance'.

Come on man, there's no fun in watching the game without a bet, just put a little if you are not so sure with Dallas. As for me, I trust them to deliver a victory as they don't want to go down 0-2.  On the previous rounds, I think Dallas got at least 1 win on the road.

Though they both had 100% FG, they only combined for 10 points. I guess next time I will be more careful, hehe. But in game 2, Dallas should be more competitive.

. Boston will still be the favorite in game 2. And starting handicap is -/+4.5.

What sports betting are you using? Because what I saw was + - 7.5

Good luck with your bet mate. I can't resit betting on the Mavericks, however, I need to be more careful here, so I'll just put a little bet just to feel the thrill watching the game. Dallas had surprised the Wolves, I'm not sure they can win game 1 here, but let's enjoy watching this game.

Odds are out on stake for the first game of Celtics and Mavericks later. I have bet for the Mavericks and good luck to everyone whichever team you choose to bet with. This is still the first game of the series so, let's just all enjoy and no fans war, we just wanna watch a good match for this finals.

This Dallas hype has been all over, making the handicap very attractive.
And that's why I am going to try and just happily gamble and bet on them. No heart feelings if I lose but I just like their past performances so, my money is on them.  Cheesy

Same here, with a small amount, it doesn't matter if I lose but I will not go against my instinct this time, not in the NBA finals.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: June 06, 2024, 11:31:56 AM
Imho the best what Haney could do is to organize a rematch on any conditions. Not asking for more money, double-triple doping check, not crying that he Garcia won unfair and etc. But stay silent, focused and beat crap from Garcia via KO. It was Haney who has landed on the butt in the fight, not Garcia. So it is 1:0 in Garcia favour in any case.

We have such a popular quotation - "dont swing fists after the fight". What is done is done. Now turn the page and prove that everyone were wrong.

I like the suggestion that Haney should prove himself so people can see that he didn't really lose that fight if it was fair. A rematch will settle who truly is the better boxer between the two. If Haney wins, it will put to rest the debate about who is superior. Haney having one loss already looks bad, especially with all the complaints that suggest he can't accept defeat. He might have lost a lot, but he needs to be direct to the point. If he wants a rematch, he should organize it as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure Ryan is more than willing to give him another loss.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Always Be in an Uptrend? on: June 05, 2024, 09:58:37 PM
Will Bitcoin Always Be in an Uptrend?
Speculationally no, Bitcoin plays in the crypto market, digital online, price ups and downs definitely exist and happen, but don't ask when it happens.....!

It seems 'yes' it is true that the current Bitcoin price is still at the highest level, but it is possible that the Bitcoin price could plummet and fall to the lowest level. In general, once the halving occurs, the Bitcoin price will change, If I speculate that the decline will happen again it will take a long time, it could be a year or two now from now, that's just my speculation, the point is that the market has its ups and downs.
Bitcoin will never show a consistent uptrend, one thing that people should not expect from bitcoin. Instead, let’s see bitcoin having its own ups and downs, but never it will disappoint us as it will always recover from its low value and surge high again until we see a stable price again. That’s how bitcoin moves in the market, unpredictable yet productive and profitable in the end.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you feel when you earn merits in your post or replies. on: June 05, 2024, 09:19:20 PM
At this point, merits still make me happy, but not as much as when I was about to rank up. I think that it's obvious.

And yet I have to admit that what makes me happier now is not the fact that someone thought that my pizza, translation or simple reply was worthy of merit, but the fact that I have sMerits to share with others who deserve or need them more than me.

I wish something similar would happen with money: the world would be a much better place to live.
If only the whole world will have the same mindset like you, people will never suffer anymore but will live their life conveniently. However, reality hits that there will be more greedy around that are more possessive with money and title, and they think sharing their money to everyone is the last thing they would do.

When it comes to earning merits, I’m still happy and excited every time I earned some. And as long as the eagerness and motivation to participate in the forum is present, earning merits will always make me happy and proud, most especially if you come to share it with other deserving members in the forum.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling is a fatal mistake on: June 05, 2024, 10:46:07 AM
Actually I have an elder brother in gambling, he basically works in a private company. Received May salary on June 04/06/2024, he did not come home after receiving salary. Three sons one daughter and his wife live in his house, and he gambled all night and entered the house on the next day 05/06/2024 today morning after losing all the salary money. After entering the house, his wife asked him to go to market, he replied, I don't have money, wife said, you got salary, what did you do with the salary money?
In this way, quarrels between the two gradually arise and when it becomes known in the society, it is gradually known that he has played gambling. And he went somewhere far away from home after the fight till now there is no trace of him and he didn't try to contact him till now. So I shared this with you because of how dangerous gambling is in the eyes of families and society. What could be the biggest reason behind this person giving complete money loss?

It should be "irresponsible gambling" is a fatalk mistake. What happen to that guy cannot be blame to gambling because gambling serves a lot of people, it's considered an entertainment but if we don't see it that way, then this thing will happen. The number of addicted gamblers over the total gamblers are just a small percentage, so in general we cannot condemn gambling think that it destroys families.
