221  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Invest in something that worth your money on: January 13, 2024, 11:40:08 PM
The tin way I won talk be say, as na hustling mode wey we all dey so, make we try invest on watin go yield better profit for rus, because many of us go won put our money for some kind investment way be say na scam projects (unknowingly to us say na scam).
Moreover, my main point be say make we dey careful of the kind of projects or investment way we dey put our money into because most of them na scam projects, as we all they find money na so others too dey find money.

You know wetin funny, E get people why know say this particular investment go turn out to be scam but them go still invest with the mentality say dem go fit cashout before the business cast but na dem wey dey fall mugu pass. Before putting your money into any business make sure say you dun do your research well wey be say if the business later be scam then the boys wey dey behind the scams really try to hide am from open eye because every scam dey easy to identify but na we wey dey just throwaway eyes from all the red flags wey the business dey show when them start because we dey see profits we fit make from the business and e dey hungry us.

Quote
So let's be careful and learn to invest in something that worth investing instead of investing in something that doesn't worth our money.

If you value your money you no go want another man to take am, if you value your money you go always to want to multiply am in a legitimate way and no go wan lose am to one yahoo boy wey dey room dey press phone. No rush any investment, time yourself well and know the investment wey dem introduced you to before you invest and avoid all those rubbish trust wallet presale things wey dey always reign for bull market times for the crypto side. Save up your money and buy Bitcoin or NCA into Bitcoin and if you want gamble with altcoins do am with money wey no go vex you if you lose am. No jump into investment because person wey you know dey tell you say the investment go make sense.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you can benefit from investing in Bitcoin on: January 13, 2024, 11:14:48 PM
2: In bitcoin, you have full control of your financial assets. You have ownership to your private keys which is not always available in our normal banking.
5: When there is currency devaluation, one can use Bitcoin to protect their wealth even though there is risk of price volatility.

The two benefits I quoted are the benefits that are peculiar to investing in Bitcoin. The rest can be gotten from other investment or currency that ain't Bitcoin. Not only Bitcoin can give you the privilege of having borderless transaction and all digital currencies works with a smartphone or device just as Bitcoin does. What makes Bitcoin different and unique is that when you make investment in Bitcoin you aren't just investing in a currency but an asset that stores the value of your money. Investing in Bitcoin is taking a steps to protect your wealth against inflation. You're putting yourself incharge of your finances when you invest in Bitcoin and those are some benefits that should make you involve yourself in the industry.

Quote
For any individual who has not invested in Bitcoin, I would advise you to give it a try. Ignorance shouldn't prevent you from investing in Bitcoin. Read, research, and gather all the knowledge you need to know about it here.

When you see a developing technology or investment and refuse to put yourself in a position to benefits from that new innovation, you aren't doing anybody but yourself. What could possibly go wrong when you invest in Bitcoin, let say the industry doesn't succeed the worst that can happen is that you lose the money that you have invested but what if the industry becomes bigger than what it is currently and you're not part of it. This makes you to miss out on a chance to change your financial story. You have nothing to lose when you invest in Bitcoin, just don't invest above your limit so you don't lose more than you can afford to lose if things were to go sideways which is so unlikely to happen.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and his steps in nowadays integration. on: January 13, 2024, 10:51:17 PM
The idea of what bitcoin was back then (freedom without any laces to the institutions) , is completely differnet nowadays, i mean for one side its acceptable that the world is getting into bitcoin ,but that lead into the attention of the institutions.

It was evitable that as more people got into the industry that some centralization was going to be introduced. It started with CEX dominating the markets to constodial wallet providers and now we have a centralized market (Bitcoin ETF) that's been controlled by the government. The steps the industry has been taken mightn't have been the steps it took in the past but they're needed to get Bitcoin it's global acceptance. You can still use your Bitcoin in a decentralized way as all that's happening hasn't changed Bitcoin nature.

Picture this, you gave ur pubkey, they sent you some btc for xyz reason, those btc are dirty or its a high amount ,guess what!! some shadow law enforcements have a full bureau just for you my dear friend, just waiting to catch you slip up or using some exchange wallet to identify you or use extorsion beacuse they know with who they dealing with.

You don't have to send the address that you're using to hodl your bitcoin to others when receiving Bitcoin. You can own multiple Bitcoin address for various reasons and that's on important features of Bitcoin. There also options to generate a new Bitcoin address each time you want to receive a deposit so having to use one address isn't something that's encouraged as it reduces your privacy. There are also various ways you can use to increase your privacy and a simple googling with get you that since some types of recommendations has been prohibited on the forum.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if authorities launch a tax for owning bitcoin? on: January 13, 2024, 10:32:42 PM
Can we be exposed to taxation or legal penalties when the wallet is reported as stolen? I think not, but I want to be sure.
I don't think you can pay taxes on something you do not officially own. And neither can you pay taxes when you don't have money or own other assets.

The only way the governments can impose a tax on Bitcoin is through taxing the centralized services that we make use of with Bitcoin. They can't tax Bitcoin directly or any decentralized service that the community uses. The governments can only know you won Bitcoin when you buy from a centralized platforms that they have control with the data they have on you. If the government were to introduced a taxation it'll only encourage the Bitcoin community members to be using Bitcoin in a more self custody way and not relying too much on centralized services providers as we have been doing with CEX and wallet providers.

Quote
Can I transfer the BTC from my current address, to an address that no government can ever link to me?

Yes there are various ways to do that, let say your current address has already been tagged, you can use exchanges that don't need kyc for small transactions or make use of casino that don't need kyc for small withdrawal to clean you Bitcoin and get a new one that isn't linked to you with a new Bitcoin address. There are other ways that if you Google you'll find. You can also send Bitcoin to a new address and only use the Bitcoin on the new address with decentralized services so it doesn't get trace back to you owning it.
225  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Investing into crypto really safe? on: January 10, 2024, 05:30:37 PM
Crypto currency investment na risky kind of investment, because Several risk dey associated to this kind of investment, crypto currencies dey very volatile, come dey make crypto investors more vulnerable to losses,  but most persons no dey reason am , them invest in am heavily and most of them done cash out, and still most of them still loose money, crypto investment fit profit you or fit make you loose money before you close eye open, because the price fit climb or drop before you close eye open. E better to take the risk, but take the risk responsibly.

Take calculated risk when investing in cryptocurrency, invest in only assets that are guaranteed to give you profits like Bitcoin and not in hyped altcoins that'll lose its hype immediately another altcoins is launched. Invest like how smart investors dey invest and you no go worry about the risk of investing in cryptocurrency. Investing in cryptocurrency mightn't be safe because you fit go buy wetin you no know say na rug pull or exit scam scheme project wey the project wan do but if you put all those money inside Bitcoin, you no go worry say Bitcoin go crash make you lose all your money.

Is investing into anything really safe, you'd dey take risk the moment you put your money into any investment because you no know how the outcomes of the investment go be. Not only cryptocurrency wey dey risky any investment you wan do starting from investing in our local stocks to the Real estate business dey risky and na wetin make investment be investments. The outcomes are always two sided, E fit dey profitable or make you lose money.

Cryptocurrency dey volatile no go make you no invest, you can use that volatility to your advantage, people dey do am so E no dey impossible. You fit invest by trading or hodling, everything depends on wetin you fit do. If you buy Bitcoin you no need worry about volatility by staying off the market and just waiting until it's time to take profits then you do so because the market go dun give you better profits based on how Bitcoin dey increase overtime.
226  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Grassroot benefits of crypto currency. on: January 10, 2024, 04:01:58 PM
Crypto currency Na worldwide, digital currency wey they gain popularity over time, before crypto currency come in place many years ago, other currencies been done like cash money been done dey already, so making the penetration of crypto a bit difficult from the years, But now wey crypto done gain popularity people done see say e get some benefits wey crypto currency get over our normal money, example Na the stress wey dey the banking system and e dey relatively slow too, but crypto currency they fast,  without stress and with less charges when e come to transfer fee.

As you say grassroots benefits all my mind na say you go outline the ways wey cryptocurrency dun benefits people wey dey grassroots. The grassroots benefits wey me I fit think off dey two. Dem include:
  • Store of wealth:
Crypto currency dun give people wey dey grassroots place to fit store their wealth without the fear say dem go lose am. Dem fit still lose am when their money dey any cryptocurrency not just Bitcoin because hackers dey active, scammers dey too and market volatility. Nobody get say to how the market dey move and when you buy altcoins say you wan store your wealth you got fit lose am of the altcoin later fall and na why E no too make sense to hodl altcoins for long if you get interest in trading them na only Bitcoin you fit hodl and if the market corrects you get hope say E go increase back when we enter bull market.
  • Avoid inflation:
if you hold Naira, you just dey lose money without knowing. You get ₦100k and you go dey think say you get money but due to the deprecation of Naira, your money fit no fit buy you better things again with that ₦100k for today market na just $100 approximately. Who know how much e go be tomorrow fit just be $50. When we invest for cryptocurrency our money dun commot for Naira be dat and no matter how Naira fall E no go affect our money as when we withdraw from dollars to Nigeria we go get the today value of our money.
[/list]

This na the two grassroots benefits of cryptocurrency wey I dey see for the country. Apart from this monetary aspects we get other benefits wey investing in the industry dey bring liked dem exposure and knowing how life be for other part of the world due to your constant research and getting familiarized with the industry.
227  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Some important factors that promoted bitcoin use in Nigeria. on: January 09, 2024, 06:59:20 PM
Even most politicians are now converting all their stolen funds into crypto assets so that they can't be traced, while this is an abuse of the whole brain behind the essence Of Bitcoin, it has also helped in increasing the number of bitcoin holders in the country.

They can't be traced how, Bitcoin isn't untraceable expect you use a mixer to increase the difficulty to trace the Bitcoin to your address. If advance hackers that stole coins from exchange can be tracked who are the Nigerian politicians that they can't be traced. Physical money is more efficient for money laundry or stealing of money than any electronic money including Bitcoin. First and last point make sense for this your topic but the second one no to get better weight because although the government been target accounts but the number small for it to make others to start converting their money to BTC.

The main reason Nigerians full for this industry na because of Inflation and profit seeking. We dey find money mainly na why many Nigerians full here and also to secure our wealths for those wey get am as Naira just dey depreciate.

Quote
Other factors have contributed positively to the feet we've attained in the crypto industry and from observation, it's always that when there is a challenge, people will look for an alternative and that's when the importance of Bitcoin becomes meaningful to them.

Nigerians no dey use ear hear where money dey and dem no go try luck. Blogging was playing, Nigerian enter am. YouTube start and the youths enter am. Content creation (Skit makers, tiktokers and so on) we no dey take ear hear say money dey this thing and we no go try to hustle for our own luck to make the money. People wey dey Bitcoin for the money plenty pass people wey dey a for the technology and although if the government were less strict on Bitcoin in the country from the beginning we for dun get better adoption pass as we dey but the monetary benefits of Bitcoin go always dey ahead for this country for factors wey dey promote Bitcoin.
228  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Does Bitcoin need advertisment? on: January 09, 2024, 05:52:39 PM
.All I'm trying to say is, the market cap of Bitcoin has been increasing by there are no advertising team out there who are being paid for advertising Bitcoin to the public.

When something is too good it can't be hidden and will need no direct advertisement to get to the masses. Bitcoin na a decentralized currency, this one mean say na we get Bitcoin and no body there's no CEO or marketing manager to dey strategize plans on how to make Bitcoin blow. Na we wey be the users still be the marketers indirectly. I hope you know say your testimony can convince someone to try something new more than any ads wey the company of that thing put out. As you tell your friend say na Bitcoin dey give you the cash dem wey you dey spend so  E go convince am pass any ad wey Bitcoin for fit put out (assuming Bitcoin was a centralized currency to do that).

Bitcoin dey enjoy advertisement from companies wey dey use am as a payment option or dey associated with am in the same cryptocurrency industry. Some clubs for premier league and other leagues too get Bitcoin related service as their sponsor, some of them get Bitcoin official logo as their company face and some of their ads dey get Bitcoin inside. All this one na ads wey plenty people for their billions dey see so this one na advertisment for Bitcoin too. Casino dem dey advertise Bitcoin for sports events as dem go tell you you fit bet with am for this sites. When media talk negative about Bitcoin e dey give am publicity too.

Everything need an advertisements, Bitcoin already dey get advertised but no be Bitcoin dey do am directly, na him investors dey do am for am. For Bitcoin to become this popular na because say many people see ads about Bitcoin in different ways. Without advertisement nothing fit succeed but no be all advertisement dey come from the founder of the business.
229  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Making haste while sunshine on Bitcoin on: January 09, 2024, 05:32:20 PM
Just going through the way some person are beginning the year with decided to drop this by saying do not delay in making positive decisions in this year 2024 moving forward mostly in once it concerns Bitcoin and other valuable things, invest wisely because the consequences of delay in our decision and actions, is always regrettable .365 days is already counting down procrastinating is the thief of time and success, let act wisely and on time using the available resources and acting on this slogan no let this year opportunity pass you by or no gree for this year.thanks my people how una see this advice.

No be only advice we go chop try do giveaway join the advice so we fit see something chop (just joking). The advice make sense and e good make we all listen to wetin our brother dey talk so. Na as year start we supposed hustle and no be when year dun dey finish we go begin dey rush life go put ourselves for problem. As people dey relax and enjoy the new year, you no suppose follow them if you never make am, you go enjoy small but cut and short and go hustle to invest. 2024 na the year wey we supposed buy all the Bitcoin wey we am wan hodl for the bull market wey dey come so.

After this year the price go hard us to fit buy plenty again, no get me wrong oh, you can always invest in Bitcoin at all times but the earlier the better because e dey give you plenty chances to buy more Bitcoin. Start from today dey save money for Bitcoin. You fit decide make yourself dey buy as small as ₦20k every week or month and by the end of the year you dun put better figure inside Bitcoin be that and when you hodl come sell at peak or close to am for this bull market wey go happen anytime in 2025, you go dun make better profits wey no investment for the country fif give you expect say you dey do forex or crypto trading but dem carry their own risk as you fit lose everything

233  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Learn to use your profit wisely on: January 07, 2024, 07:24:07 PM
I bring this discussion here so that me and you go fit talk small about am. many people way they invest in Bitcoin, some of them dey use the money they do business, help their families and other important things for them selfs but many Bitcoin traders and some Bitcoin investors them no dey use their profits take do something way go dey important to them,

Everybody get different priorities in life but your advice dey solid, make we no dey reason wetin people dey use their profits do because na only them know as e dey be for their side. E get people wey be bread winners and as soon as dem make any profits dem dun disburse the money to family people dem make dem dey alright. Nothing bad in doing that because no body go provide for your family but you although as you dey do am try dey keep some profits wey you go use for raining days for savings. I dey advice people to use Bitcoin as their savings so no matter how you spend you go know say you get savings wey be still investments because as Bitcoin increase for price na so your savings go dey grow.

Quote
Although, I am yet to become an investor but if by any means I invest and hold for long then get big profits from Bitcoin, I will use it to do something good.

Na so everybody wey dun waste money been talk when dem no be get am. Money get spirit, E dey amplifier your bad or good behaviour and no be say e dey change anybody. When you no get you good money management attitude ls dem but get all the good plans E no go still work because as soon as small thing enter your hand, you dun dey ball pass pablo for the bars and clubs. But sha e good to plan for the money before E come so when e come you go dun get plans already to direct all the money to that way instead of wasting them partying.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effortlessly promoting Bitcoin, raising the curiosity of none bitcoin ethusiast on: January 07, 2024, 07:03:41 PM
Ways we can promote the use of bitcoin as individuals
The purpose of using this two methods helps to raise the curiosity of none Bitcoin enthusiast (NBE). These two methods are clearly indirect ways of promoting Bitcoin

1. Social media
2. Our physical items

There are pros and cons to this two method you listed but before I begin I want to support your initiatives of promoting bitcoin in the best way we can in our locality. Bitcoin isn't a new invention anymore as people already know about Bitcoin but percentages of people that know about bitcoin aren't using it as a currency because of many reasons but we won't be going into the reasons for this discussion but we can encourage the use of Bitcoin by providing people a means to ise Bitcoin provided why aren't breaking any laws of our country.

For the two method, I'll prefer the physical store approaches than the social media. Social media will reach a wider range of audience but we'll be attracting only those that sees bitcoin as an assets to be used as store of wealth or to multiply wealth. There's nothing wrong in that but we need more people that'll give Bitcoin physical utility so accepting Bitcoin at our physics shops will help with that.

Quote
In conclusion
The promotion of Bitcoin should be strongly encouraged among Bitcoin community individuals. This would certainly help Bitcoin get to the grass root, both in rural and urban regions. These are clearly my opinion.
What do you guys think about Bitcoin promotion and other ways we can promote Bitcoin in our community?.

We all have to contribute to the growth of Bitcoin in its utility features, the little we can do will go a very long way. We're in a decentralized environment so everyone has to put hands together to achieve our aim but we shouldn't go against the governments of our nations to avoid jail time or huge fines.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What triggers the zeal to invest? on: January 07, 2024, 06:24:22 PM
I believe it takes a million risk to invest in Bitcoin, still people are left with more than a million reason to take the risk. A lot of us especially the newbies are still skeptical  investing, each with enough reason to invest and not to invest respectively. The core question here is; what triggers you to invest?...for myself, I haven't figured out any tangible reason why I should invest, solely because I'm yet to understand the nooks and crannies of the market fully.

You don't need to understand the market before you make your choice of investing in Bitcoin, what you need is knowledge of how Bitcoin operates, how to send and receive Bitcoin and how to secure your Bitcoin using a hardware wallet or a software wallets in an airgapped devices that are also non custodial. Those are the things that are important before making a decision to invest in Bitcoin. Your capital too (that's how much to invest) is an important decision you have to take and how you're going to invest in Bitcoin like a one time investment or DCA untill you have had enough stash is important as well.

If you're still looking for a reason to invest in Bitcoin then you don't need to be here because I don't understand how you'll see a gold mine in your front and still waiting for something to convince you to make the right decision that'll change your life financially. Aren't you seeing the adoptions that are happening right in front of us, what else are you waiting for again to trigger you to join the train before it takes off?

Quote
I envy every first timer Bitcoin buyer, cos I'm looking forward to being like them in no distance time.

If you don't have money to buy Bitcoin, just say it and do something about that by getting a job or using your skills to earn money because I'm still not understanding why you see others buying Bitcoin and don't want to feel the same way they do when they buy their first Bitcoin. With Bitcoin you don't need to work for money when you buy and wait for the maker to do it's magic by increasing your money from the profits you get from Bitcoin price appreciation in just few years of hodling.
236  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to get rich, you have to become immune to the money.......! on: January 07, 2024, 11:45:37 AM
How true is it? I want to ask the successful people here in this forum. What kind of rules or strategies that you guys use which led you to your success?

Not yet as successful as I would have wished I was but to my own capacity I'm successful and the information you shared are true because looking at the points you listed, they're common knowledge that all hustlers should know. You don't look at what others have because it brings envy and jealousy. Everyone has their path to follow don't envy what isn't your turn to have, keep hustling when it's your time you'll get all that you desire.

The fastest way to wealth is to become a problem solver. As a problem solver you work (you serve) so it matches your third point but I'm having some difficulties understand the first point. If we shouldn't desire others money then why can't we desire ours, I'll surely desire to have my own money instead of depending on the money of others.

To become rich, making your money to work for you instead of you working for the money that's the words I live by. I also believe in investing instead of spending, if you have a problem of wasting your money instead of investing then turn your investments to your spending destination and take most of your spending to investing and you won't have to work for money again.
237  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neo-colonialism: Is Nigeria Still Under British Rule? on: January 07, 2024, 11:24:08 AM
And after the gain of independence, the Nigerian state is still exploited through multinational corporations and companies Like Shell and Chevron, where our people are kept at the levels of artisans and administrators while , they bring their people as technical expartes.

Half bread is better than none right, that's our way of thinking on Nigeria when we could get the whole bread or build our own bakery so we can't stop relying on getting half bread but those benefiting from this injustice won't want power to leave their hands so they'll keep killing the masses and taking all the power and money to their family. Imagine what they're using to pay us back for all the raw minerals they're extracting from the country, just few administration positions or experts to work for them as the case maybe. Well I only blame our leaders because they have the power to stop all the injustice that's happening but they won't.

Nigeria is still under the British rule and also that of the America, we aren't even independent as we claim, this two Nations still have a say on how things are been ran here. It mightn't be very visible to those looking from the outside but as a citizen and seeing the ways things are been done it seems the leaders aren't even in control. Alot of foreign policy are affecting the economy of the nation. We know more about a foreign currency more than we know about our own local currency because everything in the country depends on the dollars and other foreign currency. We aren't producing anything but depending on importation and we think the country has independence, we'e just joking.

Quote
The end tale of this arrangement is that, Nigeria becomes the source of their raw materials and their market. With this pattern, Nigerians are used to kill the idea of indigenization, production and distribution to show their loyalty to the western imperialist and to keep their administrative positions in those companies..

Sounds realistic just on paper, the country has been sold along time ago by our founding fathers. Right now they're just recycling the same people to rule us over and over again so they can keep the power. What's is stopping Nigeria from becoming the source of their raw materials and their market, it's the colonial masters as they want to keep staying in power and our leaders are just their puppets.

Corruption affects development through inflation, inflation in turn is determined by the greedy forces of production, supply . Those who owns the means of production and distribution monopolizes the price control system to get richer

Corruption has spoiled the country that has so much potential to be among the best nations in the world, at the stage of our corruption I don't think the country can ever be reclaimed. The corruption isn't just happening at the top but it's affecting the grassroots of the nation. From our small community, there's corruption practice so it's not a suprise to see corruption becoming the face of the nation.

What can be done to stop this, It seems the country needs another war that will separate us. A war will separate us and we live our life's separately like the Koreans. The country is too big for the type of brainless leaders that we're electing to govern us and there's nothing that can be done about that because our democracy is corrupt.  We can't trust the process to bring leaders into power and it has been taken over by corrupt leaders.

So far all the suggestions have failed and obviously, there will not be changes until, the Chinese communist system of administration is adopted.

Will it be followed appropriately, the corruption can still get to the judiciary system, the law makers are corrupt so they won't pass this into law. Everybody at the top is benefiting from this corruption so why will they leave the perfectly corrupt system that they're enjoying to pass this into law and let say it get passed, who are those responsible for this to takes full effect, it's still the corrupt leaders at the top so the country is in a complete mess.

When a none Bitcoin ethusiast is eager to learn about Bitcoin, it's is important for he/she to make proper research as a newbie. By making research, he/she would definitely come across online materials, videos and also people's opinion. At that early stage, it's very difficult to identify false information about Bitcoin due to unfamiliarity with certain terminologies. Sadly, this misinformation can stick and become part of the person. Misinformation can sometimes be difficult to erase especially when we've become top members in the Bitcoin community.

We can avoid misinformation by going to the right sources to get our information. It's not everything we come across online that we're suppose to consume, there are alot of misinformation some done intentional to misread people. Information we receive that we are new shouldn't be immediately digested but we can see other superior opinions about that information so we don't get misguided.

Coming on the forum to ask questions about the new information you just came across won't get you into any trouble so let go of the pride to get yourself well informed to avoid becoming victim to scammers. Some people are purposely spreading misinformed to sell their project to newbies so don't be in a rush to make money and lose the ones you already have, ask questions always and you'll never get lost.

So my advice to us is that,

1. let us be mindful on how we keep our seed phrase or how we transact bitcoin.

Sometimes I wonder why we keep reminding people how to keep their seed phrase safe, don't they know that they're in an industry that puts the control of their finances in their own hands and with great power as that, comes greater responsibilities to protect our finances.

If you're investing in Bitcoin, aren't you supposed to know that you have to protect your investments. If you keep your seed phrase unprotected then you'll be the one to suffer the losses of losing everything you put into acquiring the Bitcoin you own.

When you make investment into Real estate or other investment, don't you protect them so why aren't you giving the same protection to your Bitcoin.

Then I still have another question on this advice. Has any effort been made to produce a software that could retrieve a lost bitcon?

This will contradict the whole point of a decentralized currency because for this to happen there has to be some sort of centralized server like what is happening with our fiats currency. Bitcoin sent can't be retrieved unless the person that received the Bitcoin decided to send them back. We should be mindful of the addresses we're sending Bitcoin to by double confirming if the addresses are correct.
