Such behavior is normal for those ranks but the higher ranked users can't say the same (especially legendary members) since the merits mightn't mean much to them anymore. Merit was introduced to highlight quality contributions so when you receive merits on your quality decision, you did deserve it so it shouldn't excite you much and when you noticed you're still getting excited then work on yourself more (increase your quality and board awareness) so you can get more merited and the feelings leave your body.

This is not a matter of good or bad ethic here, the option is available which means you can make use of it. If the forum didn't want anybody to be able to edit the subtitle of a thread then the option won't have been available for you to be able to edit the subtitle during your reply to the thread. I feel this option is made available so we can have multiple topics under a thread. There's a reason it seems the Saudis are now mostly interested in Chelsea leftovers and that's because the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Clearlake Capital (who are a share holders at Chelsea) has a business which involves Clearlake Capital managing some investing from the PIF that has now taken ownership of about 4 clubs in the Saudis Pro league.
