1221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the do's and dont's of signature on: May 08, 2023, 09:04:42 PM
Good day honorable members of this prestigious forum, please I need enlightenment on the use of signature, the do's and don't. This is to avoid going against the rule. And I also want you to share any experience and encounters you have witnessed while using signature. I will appreciate your calm response.  🙏

In addition to what others have said, I just have one don't to add. Don't make an extra amount of weekly quota needed by the campaign manager. Always show your manager that you're not only here writing to be paid but also wanting to contributions to the discussion of the forum by writing above the minimum posts needed to be paid especially when you're in a campaigns that requires a certain amount of post to be written weekly. When you do this, you not only increase your chances of getting full payment incase a thread get deleted but also giving yourself a good ratings in the eyes of the manager.

Your posting should never be affected by the campaign you join negatively thereby reducing your post quality instead campaigns should motivate you to increase your quality (put more thoughts inti your writing) since you're actually been paid for those post. I did some thread on issue relating to signature campaign that are worth bringing up again so newbies can read through to make them better understand how to go about participating in signature campaign. They're; Enjoy reading...
1222  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do I keep crypto after buying it? on: May 08, 2023, 08:40:43 PM
When you talk about storage of cryptocurrencies, mind you that you should be looking away from exchanges, it is really baffling to me why one would leave good non-custodial wallets and keep their funds in an exchange that can be hacked anytime, or that can confiscate your funds for any flimsy reason. Trade on cryptocurrency exchanges and hodl your funds in non-custodial wallets, not just anyone of them, but a good one like electrum that is open source.

One of the reasons people prefer exchanges to Non- custodial wallets is because of the availability of coins to be stored on the exchanges than those wallets. Don't confuse cryptocurency (altcoins) and Bitcoin together, the suggestion of wallet you gave can only hold Bitcoin but the OP is talking about cryptocurency which is a terms normally used when someone wants to purchase other cryptocurency that aren't Bitcoin (altcoins). For this purpose exchange aren't still the best option because we have wallets that can hold more than two different coins on different blockchain as well.

We have Metamask wallet and it can be used to hold coins on Ethereum blockchain, Polygon, Binance blockchain, etc. You don't have to subject your coins to the mercy of centralized exchange to give you permission to withdrawal when you have a non custodial wallet like Metamask that gives you access to your private key and can be access on your laptop or mobile device. We also have some hardware wallets that provided this same service of having multiple coins stored offline out of the reach of hackers provided you keep your private keys off reach (online).
1223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin a good option for a beginner in Cryptocurrency? on: May 08, 2023, 08:22:11 PM
Go for bitcoin as a beginner, learn about bitcoin investment and have an ideal knowledge of it before you invested, also try to low about bitcoin wallet and make use of a cold storage wallet in having your bitcoin, avoid holding your asset on centralized exchanges, but you can only make use of them when there's a need for you to make an exchange or buy bitcoin and then you move to your personal wallet, you will need one step at a time and it begins with you learning first about what bitcoin is in cryptocurrency and why it's the most preferred crypto.

It's the most preferred cryptocurency because it's the oldest and most trusted due to its years of existence. Most reputed members will tell you to invest in Bitcoin and they're not wrong for giving you the safest option in the market. Bitcoin is the safest among every cryptocurency in the market that you can invest in at the moment, and be guaranteed of a future return. The profits mightn't be as big as others (assuming they get pumped) but it'll be reasonable and you won't be put in a situation were you'll be forced to sell your coins because of the price crashing.

While you're making Bitcoin your focus investment, there's nothing wrong with having some altcoins to gamble on. Kindly understand that your investment in those altcoins are pure gamble and you can lose all the money invested. Instead of going to the casino I invest some of my spare money into some altcoins but I don't take them serious or hold them for a very long term. After some significant amount of gains I pull my investment from the altcoins investment and accumulate some more Bitcoin.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you look for information about new project/coin? on: May 08, 2023, 07:57:04 PM
A lot of projects that are useless basically and don't have any strong fundamentals make it to airdrop and ICO websites and even get added to websites like CoinMarketCap and Coingecko, etc. A lot of meme coins manage to do that but they are not really good projects at all.

You shouldn't blamed those sites for listing those project you're seeing on their platforms. You have to understand that those are just sites meant for tracking of cryptocurrency and not investment guidelines sites. Anybody investing in a project just because they're listed on those sites are making a very big mistake. Coinmarketcap was built to track cryptocurrencies as you can see from their website introduction. Memecoins, shitcoins or any token built on the blockchain is a cryptocurency and they're right for listing them, these sites make getting information about this project easier for investors to do their research on them. I'll recommend using coingecko over coinmarketcap since coinmarketcap has been bought by Binance exchange and anything they touch gets too centralized.

Also just because projects are listed on ICO tracking sites doesn't make them good projects for investment or are we forgetting to that those sites run a business as such they can accept anything provided those project can pay their fees. Nevertheless they're not wrong for listing those project but where they're making a mistake is the rating they give to the project since investors depend on their rating system to make investments into the projects. Irrespective of that, as a serious investor, you shouldn't be depending on anybody or any sites to make your investments. You should learn to do your personal research then invest so you have no one to blame when it fails.

1226  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why full time to crypto why not to Skills on: May 07, 2023, 08:45:36 PM
Not having to wire but hope to make huge profits like 10x or even more is the hope of most individuals in our world today.  This seems a means in which, regular forks could make proper use of the Internet and with the fact that holding bitcoin for a long time offers promises of profit, it becomes a target.
Many don't which to go through the stress of having to learn a useful skill but hopes to wait and let the money work for them.

Investing in cryptocurrency looks more flashy while learning a skills looks boring and that's what attracts them to cryptocurency but people are forgetting that boring business are one of the best businesses. With a skills in blockchain, you can easily get hired and be receiving more than $80k yearly and that's a good pay which can give you the capital that you needed to invest in Bitcoin and have rest of mind while doing so because you won't be filled with fear of the market crashing and you losing your investment like majority of the investors are, whenever there's a correction I the market.

Having a job that brings steady income is one of the best security to the price volatility of the market. I'll rather invest in acquiring some skills and it has to be focused on blockchain technology than go full time into cryyptocurrency which involves trading. As an investors you can just buy and hold Bitcoin while you keep on learning (acquire the skills).
1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: May 07, 2023, 07:04:22 PM
With the presence of the new coach Al Nassr, in three matches, only got 1 win and 2 defeats. Dinko Jelicic has not been able to maximize the game of Al Nassr's players. For now, they are only 3 points away from Al Ittihad. I think it is unlikely that Al Nassr will be able to lift a trophy this season even though they have brought in their new coach.

Tomorrow's game against Al-Khaleej will give us an idea of how the season might end since Al Nassr will be playing before Al-Ittihad, it means Al Nassr gets the opportunity to go top of the table as they have a better good difference than Al-Ittihad. Al Nassr just have to win their game then hope Al-Ittihad doesn't win theirs. Al-Khaleej shoudn't be much of a challenge for Al Nassr as they're known to defeat them in the past and having Ronaldo on the pitch will just be an advantage to the Al Nassr squad as they can be sure of some goals from him.

Ronaldo opened the scoring for the 4:0 trashing of Al-Raed the last time the squad had a match, I have a feeling same scoreline might be repeated in the game against Al-Khaleej. Ronaldo would probably get a brace and also some assists. This is the last minute of the season and Ronaldo needs to turn up more for the Al Nassr side because that's exactly the reason why they bought him. I understand Ronaldo came in mid season but he's superior to the league and should be killing it over here and not looking for excuses.
1228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 07, 2023, 06:48:44 PM
Even after celebrating the victory of the CDR champion yesterday, it seems that Real Madrid have started training again because they did not have time to celebrate the title. Real Madrid have to focus and continue their work without stopping, that's very good for a team that has won the mentality of champions for many seasons in the champions league.

That's some great mentality right there, I thought Real Madrid would be given some time off since it seems everyone coming to the club are just completing football by winning major trophies. I thought the players won't want to keep training but it seems the mentality is high. If it was a club that Messi was playing in, by now he would had probably gone on a vacation and still be worshiped.

Real Madrid mentality is what's keeping them in the champions league and continuously winning it. Even in a season when they aren't doing well in la Liga, they still find a way to win the tournament. This mentality will be needed when Real Madrid faces Manchester City on the 9th, Manchester city are also on a form of their own as Haaland just broke the premier league highest goals scoring record in a season and he'll be looking to get more goals in the champions league. As always Manchester city will have the upper hand considering they have defeated Real Madrid 4 times in their last five meetings.
1229  Economy / Exchanges / Re: many CEXs faces strongest regulatory pressure, will you use CEXs/DEXs/TEXs? on: May 07, 2023, 11:31:48 AM
The best advice will be to continue using multiple exchanges at the same time with a shared balance on each of them rather than being your own bank.
I am sure many of you will be against this thought of mine however this works very well with beginners as they tend to mess up things with Metamask and Bitcoin wallets.

There are other options than asking then to trust centralized exchange that can be hacked and all funds get lost. It does matter the centralized exchanges you suggest, all aren't to be trusted. You should be your own bank and you can use multiple personal wallets if you don't feel comfortable storing all your coins in one wallet. You can make use of Electrum, Metamask and any of the best hardware wallets available (haven't used this so don't have any suggestions).

Running away from a problem won't solve it, we learn from experience so it's best they start using their personal wallets now so any mistakes they make wouldn't be that expensive than when they make same mistakes in the future and it cost them more loses. They might use those three centralized and they all get some issues that make their funds not available to them. In the last two years more than 3 exchange collapse including FTX. So that means if they were holding funds on those collapse exchanges, they would had lost it all. Centralized exchange aren't wallets and shoudn't be used for holding of coins.
1230  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do you actaully consider KYC in terms of information that has to be given on: May 07, 2023, 11:16:57 AM
So, for me the 1st 2 are not a big deal. It's just the last one that *I* think is KYC.

What do the rest of you think? And do you really care so long as there are non KYC options.

-Dave

Previously me providing my email address and phone number when registering on an exchange won't have been an issue and I didn't consider them KYC since that's something I'll do voluntary just to add some level of security to my account. In the past I can always open an emails for that particular sites and get a phone number easily without any trace back to me but now I won't do such and any sites that mandate me to provide my phone number is a no for me, I'm still comfortable with emails as I can create one without delay as usual. In my country, the government mandated we all register our mobile number with our national identity number (NIN) our NIN is also linked to our bank account through BVN- Bank verification number so in summary, everything is now connected.

Both the NIN and BVN has our home addresses so technically you just providing your phone number, the government and those exchange especially the local ones can easily get other private information relating to you and some micro finance banks also make use of your phone number as your banks accounts. Which means they can verify your name and identity with your phone number. For over 5 years now I haven't verified any centralized service and I try to avoid using them entirely. I only use those that I verified previously when things weren't this strict but the information aren't that accurate.
1231  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it time for Old Signature campaigns to redesign? on: May 07, 2023, 10:41:37 AM
Do you think it's time for some old signature campaigns to wear a new better look. These could give the participants some feelings of renewed energy, you never can tell. I wouldn't want to mention names because this is associated with brands.
What do you think?

I remember when I was managing two of the longest campaign on the forum before some unfortunate incident ended both campaigns, I'm referring to Bitvest and 777coin. I tried changing the signature designs several times but I was shutdown even when I requested to do the redesigning from my own pocket just to catch up to what was trending then but after that campaign ended and I see the signature ads (up to this date) still been wore by some forum users, I began to understand the idea behind branding. When you change your brands display like color, logos etc, when you change anything that was unique to your brand that made people related with your company, you usually lose some customers so maybe that's why project aren't redesigning.

Also don't forget we have new trends every now and then so will you advise companies to be redesigning whenever a new trends (way of designing) comes out or they stay to their unique design. Excluding situation when there's an additional information to be removed or added to a signature design, I don't think it'll be best for companies to all look the same. Been unique is also a form of advertisment and could attract customers to your brand.  There's no need for campaigns to design their signature ads provided they're getting results from the campaign unless the whole project is rebranding entirely.
1232  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 07, 2023, 10:22:37 AM
What do you think the right post quota per week?

I read some campaign manager sentiment about this issue. Forcing their participants post above the minimum post requirements they set by themselves. If they want a higher post quota participants, They should increase the minimum post requirements or make the campaign rate per post without any consequences for posting low but quality post.

There's no right post quota per week, each campaign is unique and the manager decide what the post quota is, if you're not comfortable with the rules then don't participate in the campaign. As a signature participate, you're an employee of the campaign manager and his rules are his for you to follow or you get removed from the campaign. The minimum quota rules are there to give the campaign some amount of weekly works but you shouldn't be making just the minimum, if you're doing so then you're indirectly telling the manager that you're just there to make money and such users aren't useful to the forum because their posts aren't usually quality but just there to make up the weekly quota.

There are so many campaigns on the forum therefore you're free to join those that suits your posting styles and habit. I did a thread on that few years ago titled; [Guide] Factors to consider before joining paid signature campaigns but many people just join any campaign available and then begin adjusting their posting habits or style to fit the campaign and this usually drops their quality. For example, some campaign requires you to be active for some specific amount of days (judging from their maximum daily post count) so if you're not very active on the forum, you shouldn't be joining such campaign. Every campaign manager wants the best for the projects that they're managing as such users that aren't promoting the project effectively to their tastes can be removed at any moment.
1233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More exchanges shutting down, Hold your Asset with You on: May 07, 2023, 10:00:10 AM
How possibility without exchange we can't sell cryptocurrency assets? seems funny about your opinion secure assets on hardware wallet with very doubt how exchange trust reputation. You right, many exchange have been scam right now and they not returned yet all investors fund and last year we are still memorizing with FTX exchange collapse.  But when holding bitcoin or altcoin assets in hardware wallet if price suddenly up we loss moment for selling on the early moment.

Exchange shoudn't be used as wallets so you shouldn't be holding your coins on them especially as there's no signed agreement between you and the exchange that they'll refund you fully if anything was to happen to your coins on their exchange. Centralized exchange can be hacked at any moment and it doesn't matter how secured they claim their exchange is. It mightn't be hacking that puts the exchange in financial problems but maybe they made some mistakes by gambling with users funds like investing in new projects and when they fail, they lose billions to that investment and now they can't hadn't withdrawal request and this causes the exchange to lose trust in their customers and stop getting patronage which causes the exchange to collapse.

There's so many reasons why we shouldn't store our coins on exchanges, if you're an active trader, you can keep some money on exchanges but it should be just for trading purpose as such you won't miss the pumps or opportunity to sell before a dump as you're asking about. Apart from this instance, don't use exchanges as wallets. Centralized exchange aren't the only option to sell your Bitcoin, you can trade using P2P exchanges and I'm not referring to the P2P on centralized exchange ls but those that are actually decentralized like https://bisq.network
1234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can a beginner fast learn and contribute to bitcoin forum on: May 05, 2023, 07:16:39 PM
Learning takes a lot of time so never expect to learn fast because it may seemed you’re only here for quick profits, which will never be possible to happen. And if you want to be a significant member in the forum, then always take advantage on learning everyday so that what you will know and learn, you can share it to others and benefit from your post. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just learn and enjoy in the forum, and when you think you’ve gained good skills and experiences, then share it to the forum so that they will also learned from you. That way, you’re doing your part in the forum actively.

I was about pointing out how the OP needs to get rid of the mindset of his learning been fast. There's no benefits in been fast when it has to do with finance. Always take you time so you can understand what you're getting yourself involved in. You don't have to complete your learning before you can invest in Bitcoin so that shouldn't be an excuse why you want your learning to be fast. If you go with such mentality then you'll also be attracted to quick profits which is very bad and can lead you to losses.

OP you're not obligated to contribute to the growth of the forum financially or with any skills that you have. All the forum needs from you is your quality contributions while interacting with others on the forum. Just obey the unofficial rules of the forum so you can stay out of problem as we have those willing to scarified their time to make sure you pay for the offends you have committed on the forum. To help you with understanding how things work on the forum, do more of reading then replying. Observe others, learn from them and improve on your writing skills.
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 05, 2023, 06:54:31 PM
I don't think if he joins Chelsea and Chelsea won't need a player like Osimhen, because, in the recent game they had, Chelsea don't need better players they to have a better atmosphere in the team and a better coach that's why I think Real Madrid needs Osimhen more than any team to replace ith Benzema because of his age and Real Madrid can be a more interesting destination for any player including Osimhen.

Real Madrid would rather sign Mbappe than sign Victor Osimhen, Real Madrid don't just sign players because they're good, they sign marketable players and looking at both players, Mbappe would be their preferred choice as they have been chasing him for seasons now. Maybe the misunderstanding in the PSG club could give room for Real Madrid to attempt to get Mbappe again which might finally work out since by now Mbappe would have realized he can't win the champion league with PSG as there is a very high possiblity of both Neymar and Messi is leaving the club by the summer, which could make other stars reconsider their stay at the club.

Victor Osimhen fits Chelsea rebuilding ideas, we mightn't be playing in the champions league next season but that doesn't change the fact that more attention are coming to the premier league strikers, Haaland is breaking records and having to be competing with that level of player will be healthy for Victor Osimhen career as he'll also be in the spotlight and imagine after him winning the serie A with Napoli then comes over to the premier league to win the title with Chelsea. That'll be a very strong achievement to put him among the great strikers in history.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 05, 2023, 06:39:49 PM
Tomorrow there will be a match between Bournemouth vs Chelsea and of course this will be a competition for both teams to win the match, moreover both Chelsea and Bournemouth have won 39 points in the middle of the board and the loser will be closer to the relegation zone. As usual, even though Chelsea are favored to win this match, it seems they will still experience difficulties.

I was surprised when I saw that Chelsea are been given the favorite to win the game, how can a club that haven't won any of their last 5 matches been given the favorite when Bournemouth has only lost one game out of their last 5 matches which the rest were wins not even draws. I don't see Chelsea winning the game and if we do win then It would be a very close margin because Bournemouth would be looking to increase their points so they can stay clear off relegation. There' are not in much danger to be relegated but if they were to lose all their matches then they might go down.

Frank Lampard needs to win this game against Bournemouth, because if Chelsea was to lose to Bournemouth then we might be in a position that we'll have to fight to stay in the premier league while our next matches aren't the easiest to win because we still have Manchester city, Newcastle united and Manchester united to play which are going to be very tough games considering what those other clubs have at sake by losing if they can't defeat us.

1240  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What will a mixer do under the mentioned situation? on: May 03, 2023, 06:15:17 PM
Now, let's say that a hack happened some day at some exchange for about $300 million (or even $3 million, just e.g.), and the exchange immediately opens up about the hack. For a second, just think that the scammer keeps the coins in his wallet and doesn't move them for some time, however FBI and other major authorities are aware of this hack and they give orders to mixers that if a specific address is provided to the mixers (if they know exactly on which address the hacker has kept the coins), and they ask them to immediately report them about the same, then let me ask some questions:

1. Do mixers know where they're getting a deposit from?
2. If yes, will they co-operate here with the officials and let them know about the deposit?
3. If they do, how will they stop the scammer from moving his funds out of their mixer?

Firstly, hackers that are able to pull off such hacks aren't stupid, before the hacks get reported they must have already mixed the coin and transfer to other wallets then wait for the whole news to fade away before they start moving the coins or probably they would had traded them to privacy coins and held those in their wallet. But lets just say everything workout as you have said, what then stop the hackers from changing their wallet by splitting the coins between other different wallets since the previous wallets has already been identified and reported to the mixers and exchanges for them to stay on the look out for deposit from that particular address.

Unless there's some automatic means to detect any address that have interacted with the labelled address holding hacked coins then your suggestions won't be effective and the mixers can't identify were the coins are coming from. Mixer can know an address that coins are coming frim since they're centralized. Mixer can always cooperate with the government agency when they have a very strong case against them that they need their cooperation for lesser punishments although some mixers won't snitch on their customers and mixers can just freeze the account of the hackers or delay withdrawal for your last question.
