601  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Forex same thing as betting on: October 09, 2023, 01:14:25 PM
I do not know this is existing. Which means there are P2P gambling sites online. Although, if they are online, the are likely to be online always as well, but gamblers are the ones to determine when to gamble or not, and the games to gamble with or not. I have just known this right now.

And you're still misunderstanding as I noticed you're editing and reposing your replies multiple times and I received notifications each time which means you're correcting whatever you previously wrote. Maybe you should understand the sentence well before replying as mistakes can be made in spelling (not intentional but due to auto correction) but if you pay attention without rushing to reply you'll get what the person is trying to say.

Again your statement of a P2P gambling site been online regardless isn't responding perfectly to my statement of we having a P2P gambling site. I made that reply in response to your point below;
Gambling:
Gamblers are losing to gambling site owners and share holders

What I'm trying to say is not all gambling leads to you losses going to the site owners or share holders, we have decentralized gambling and it's growing just as online gaming/gambling grew to the multi-million industry it is. The point isn't about gambling been online always but about where the losses goes to.
602  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Forex same thing as betting on: October 09, 2023, 12:16:04 PM
In continuation, I have not seen this type of gambling online before that does not have a closing time. The last time I saw it was when I was in school, students and some other people that like crazy things like that. The gambling OP is referring to gambling on online sites and the ones on the gambling board on this forum which I have stated already. But using timing to compare between gambling and forex is not totally correct, not totally correct means not that it is wrong, but not entirely true.

Nobody spoke about gambling not having closing time, I said trading doesn't excluding weekends and that's because the discussion here is Forex trading and not cryptocurency trading. Like I also said just because I didn't specify the type of gambling I meant which is (sport betting) doesn't make me wrong because we all have been generalizing here by just saying Gambling.  The OP is talking about forex so crypto trading explanation has no merit here, crypto trading and forex are different.

You're not a gambler so you don't know, gambling goes beyond what's happening on casino and sportsbooks. Haven't you heard about gambling tournament held online, even the ones gamers gamble by betting on who wins the games and those prizes, the house has no say sometimes they take commission and other times the players get everything without involving the house and all this are done online not manual.

We said gambling which should cover everything gambling and not just casino games or sport betting. We have decentralized games were users bet P2P, it isn't very popular among the forum users but it's happening and just because you don't know about them doesn't mean it isn't happening. I could name sites but I don't what to promote any site that'll make people lose money and if you browse online (which everybody can do), you'll see platforms offerings such services. Here's an article posted on August 2023 which will let you know P2P betting are gaining momentum;
Peer-to-peer sports betting is crypto’s next killer app Decentralized sports betting enables gamblers to not only beat the house but also own it

• Users can offer and accept bets as they compete against each other through peer-to-peer betting instead of endlessly challenging The House

Web3 betting is taking betting from the house having the edge to the players to own it. Timing also has an impact in sport betting which is also gambling but mightn't have in casino games but they're all gambling.
603  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Forex same thing as betting on: October 09, 2023, 11:04:31 AM
This is not entirely correct. You can gamble on casinos anytime that you want. There are many in-play matches. There is sport virtual bet which is a available everytime. For people that are gambling in sport, matches are always available until around 1 to 2 am that north and south American countries will finish playing. I think you are not the casino type and you prefer only the big leagues is the reason that makes you think if gambling like this. Crypto trading can be anytime but forex will be closed during weekends.

Everything is evolving, development are affecting how we knew things, before now a bet can only take place when a game starts and when it ends but we now have cashout prices as specific duration of games, you can bet on specific events that happens during a sports game etc We aren't speaking about crypto trading, here but forex trading and everybody knows crypto trading happens 24/7 unless an exchange stops trading that's when you can't trade on that specific exchange.

Gambling:
Gamblers are losing to gambling site owners and share holders

If you went to be specific this is also incorrect since when we talk about gambling generally, you can also lose directly to your opponent when you bet. We have games that are like tournament that when two or more people join and the rest lost, the winners takes it all. We have DEX platforms that organized games between players while they just take a commission from the price money won.

In today's world, nothing is as exactly as we know them before as different things are been introduce to satisfy our tastes.
604  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you are becoming a billionaire in 2025,buying a large ship should not be goal on: October 07, 2023, 09:46:40 PM
If you are becoming a billionaire in 2025, buying a large ship should not be not be a goal, it should not be your manifesto, Because money doesn't matter, but humanity matters, Money will increase with time, (While we should talk about equal resources, equal wealth for all people) maybe we are traveling towards the free world?, Because of me, many people have become whales in the last 4 years, governments have become financially strong in the last 4 years, And now they are all doing good, Regardless of all these things, what should be your manifesto? Let's look at all these things

So let say my investment all turn out the way I wanted and I become a billionaire, you don't have the right to tell me how to spend my money. If I want to buy islands, large cruise ships and other luxury items, I'll do that. Money is meant to be spent but obviously I won't spend all without thinking about my tomorrow and also carrying out some charity in the best way I can. Everything can be done, you can enjoy yourself and also assist the world but instead of providing for people needs by giving them fish, you can teach them how to fish. Taking care of a guys meal will be a one time thing but teaching him how to get his own meal will be forever ability if he uses the opportunity wisely. The world is a short place as we won't stay here forever so we should enjoy our stay on earth. Gift yourself a good ife while you're here and also assist others in the best way possible. Don't take it upon yourself to help everybody because you can't do that. Help those that you can help and they'll help those they can help and the cycle continues.

I encourage helping others but we shouldn't deprived ourselves happiness because we want others to be happy, the Bible says " we should love our neighbors the way we love ourselves" which translate to making ourselves happy because only when we're happy can we make others around us happy. You can buy a ship and employ workers on the ship which you have provided job opportunity for those employees. Having a ship is just couple of millions and you will still have thousands of millions left to spend on charity. I'm not encouraging future billionaires to get themselves ships but if that's what will make you have a happy life, do it so you pass on your happiness to others. We shouldn't make the world about others only, you made money to have the life you wanted so enjoy that life while you have a good heart towards others.
605  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: October 07, 2023, 09:26:13 PM
We know the oil market is booming and countries with oil resources are really making a huge fund out of it and sometimes they do it at the negligence of another local natural resource.

This is not entirely true, just because they're not putting attention on agriculture doesn't mean they're forgetting about it. When there's natural resources that's more profitable and the strength of a nation, more attention is been given to that resources and that's what the oil producing national are doing. The money gotten from the sales of the oils is used to develop other sectors of the country including the agricultural sector because to work effectively on agriculture, you need funding and this funds can't be printed unlimitedly or you'll bring about inflation to your country's currency. Other countries that focus on agriculture and exportation of their goods need others to buy it and that's what the money gotten from selling oil is used for by the country that has oil as their main export. The needs for balance in the world is necessary, every nation can't have everything, importation and exportation is necessary among nations for human survival.

Quote
No matter how blessed a country is with oil minerals, if its agricultural sector isn't working and she has to rely on other country for her food and agricultural resources then in event of war or political differences they might suffer

During those war times there'll still be importation and exportation going on between countries that are allies, as Russian and Ukraine are fighting, while it seems every nation is cancelling Russia, they still have countries that they're allies to and trades are going on between the two or more nations. As a country you have to focus on the national resources that you have as your strength and develop it to the point that it gives you leverage. The Arab nation have been able to turn the fate of their nation around because they built on the oil they found, others can do the same with the national resources they have. Both agriculture and oil is important until something else takes over. Agriculture though is more important for human survival and every nation has a little bit of it but we have nations that agriculture is their main export.
606  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin no go fit finish. on: October 07, 2023, 08:16:07 PM
Bitcoin no go fit finish for crypto market, no matter the demand way investors go demand for Bitcoin, Bitcoin go still dey plenty. (Itz plenty), so I no dey fear at all but I go buy am one-day.

Who dey deceive you like this, we can only have 21 million Bitcoin and make we say everybody buy 1 that mean na only 21 million people wey go fit get Bitcoin but this one no be the reality as no be everybody wey go fit afford one Bitcoin and some people go wan buy more than one. Also no forget say some Bitcoin will be lost forever as people go die leave am or sent to wrong address that are in unaccessible wallets. For market no be everybody go put their Bitcoin for market for trading, some Bitcoin will be held in wallets. Make those volume dem wey dey exchange no deceive you because most of dem na wash trading. When you trade Bitcoin on centralized exchanges no be the real Bitcoin wey you dey trade but just numbers, na until you withdraw na when dem go send you real Bitcoin that's why we're encourage to always withdraw our Bitcoin from exchanges.

Bitcoin no dey unlimited instead e dey limited which means e go fit finish so no dey play with the one wey you get. No rush go invest in Bitcoin until you understand am well and no go use money wey you go need urgently go invest inside Bitcoin but no dey wait to invest as that's not how smart investors dem dey think. Smart investors buy and wait and make profits. That's why you accumulate Bitcoin in the bear market and wait to take profits when your target price dun reach. No think say Bitcoin go wait for you oh as any minute you procrastinate to invest inside na yourself wey you dey do. You no need to buy one Bitcoin one time, you fit dey DCA wey be Dollar cost average and how you go do this one na to dey buy small small Bitcoin of the same amount anything you get money until you dun hit the traget of Bitcoin wey you wan HODL.
607  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Forex same thing as betting on: October 07, 2023, 07:46:16 PM
However, Forex is same thing as betting. Betting can turn someone to millionaire, billionaire etc likewise forex. You analyse in forex likewise in betting.

Because say two things fit give you the same thing on mean say dem be the same. Forex and betting na different things but e get people wey dey gamble when trading forex like dem dey gamble when betting too and dem dey succeed but e no dey last long for forex because at a time the market go catch you and if you no get stop loss you go lose everything wey you get. Here are some different between forex (trading in general) and betting;
  • For most betting na the house wey get the winning odds like na dem get the higher chances of winning but when trading na the trader get the odds of winning and not the house (infact na the traders be the house)
  • For difficulties: Gambling dey more easier than forex trading. Person wey no get any experience go fit dey bet and dey win but for forex e dey very unlikely and even though you win e no go last as last last the market go get the last laff
  • Forex trading na the betting on currency pairs but you need knowledge of the currency pairs for you to profit but betting (gambling) na playing of games wey no need you to get much knowledge or skills on am and with just your luck on probability games you fit win
  • Timing: some betting requires you to join the game as e dey start but trading no get timing, you fit enter and exit the market anything and make your profit. Betting get time limitations but trading no get expect say the market no dey open Saturday and Sundays.

One thing about forex na say, if you no learn am well you go lose but gambling is mostly about luck, you no need to learn am per se. Weda na forex or gambling wey you dey do or dey interested in, know say both of dem dey very addictive and if no discipline yourself well you go lose your focus which is to make money. In forex you fit master a strategy wey go work for you constantly and can be thought to others and una dey use am dey make profits together but when you dey gamble, there's no proven strategy wey you fit teach people wey una fit dey use make money. Everyday for gambling na try your luck but for forex, same strategy can be used multiple time to make better profits them.
608  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: It seems multitasking is the only way out of poverty on: October 07, 2023, 12:29:59 PM
When we look at the state of our country's economy, it's obvious that relying on one particular source of income cannot really be enough to pay your bills, especially when you have a family. In most countries when you have a good skill, or a stable job can take good care of you even if you have a family. The only thing you need to work more for is promotion. However, it is different here.

Make we no dey think say outside na heaven because even for that side you go need do multiple jobs if you wan get a better life, abi you never hear people dey do multiple jobs as shifts just to get enough to survive, make we no dey think say e easy for anywhy. E get good paying job for Nigeria here wey dey pay well and you no need multiple sources of income to survive but just that the jobs dem no plenty and we dey overpopulated for this side for job to do us. I wan correct something, if you want to get out of poverty, no be plenty jobs go solve your problem but investment will, because investing the bare minimum can help you elevate your financial situation but person wey dey do multiple jobs fit still dey inside poverty as all the money him dey make is going to sort a bill or wasting them on liability.

Quote
If there is a way that working salary would be increased, tit would at least reduce the need for multitasking because all these things are part of those things that gradually affects our health and reduce life spam.

Multitasking isn't bad, it's a type of hustle that when you do it very well you can generate enough capital to be used for you to start a business or investments to help better your standards of living and takes you out of poverty through your investments. Dem dey multi task for everywhere but as you dey do am, no go over do your own. Know your limit and stop at a point because there's no point in making the money and you won't enjoy it. Always look after your health and don't do jobs that'll stress you out. You can have a salary jobs and do some bot hustle on the side and when you get home do some trading or working online. When you multi task like dat e no go too weigh you but if you wan do all as manual work, you'll be stress out.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will institutional investors impact Bitcoin? on: October 07, 2023, 10:57:54 AM
Institutional investors can bring stability and liquidity to the Bitcoin ecosystem. They can also help to legitimize Bitcoin and make it more mainstream.what you think about this as a crypto guy ?  Wink

Institution investors will bring centralization to the industry, institutional investors would want their money to be protected since they'll be coming in with a large sum of money then regular investors so they'll want the market to be regulated. The institutional investors have power and connection so they'll use that to draw the attention of lawmakers to the market. Their involvement in the market will bring about more mainstream adoption and popularity but it'll come at the cost of decentralization of the industry. They'll want to take control of the market so they can manipulate it as they do to other markets that they're fully Involved in.

Who wants Bitcoins to become mainstream? We all are happy with the current status of bitcoins. We know how valuable Bitcoins are and we know how to take maximum profits from it. Bitcoins are limited in number and hence very rare. So we don’t want it to become mainstream or become legalised. We will just accumulate the coins and when the price goes up we will sell in very high price.

That's not what we want, maybe that's what you want but the industry want Bitcoin to get more global adoption by going mainstream, if we're talking about profit we'll make more when Bitcoin gets more popular because that'll exposed the currency to more investors and they'll invest thereby increasing the value of Bitcoin and we (the early investors that bought Bitcoin and hodl) get more profits. More global adoption does us more good in everyway because we get to get more opportunities to not only Invest in Bitcoin but spend our wealth globally without having to convert it first to fiats. When Bitcoin get globally accepted, you can use your Bitcoin more frequently than how you can use it now because there'll no limitations.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can happen next time due to a lack of proper knowledge about Bitcoin? on: October 07, 2023, 10:25:45 AM
1. When virtual currency or crypto-currency reigns all over the world, the banking system will be miserable, and a group of people (who do not know about crypto-currency or bitcoin) will be unemployed all over the world, who till now were working at the convenience of various banks.

Has this stop the new and innovative ways of doing things from taking over the old fashion way. The world is constantly evolving, we have to move with the flow and learn new skills so we can stay employable. The bankers just have to learn new skills and they'll be good.

Quote
3: Many developing or underdeveloped countries (especially those with low leverage) will consider cryptocurrency a curse rather than a blessing due to their lack of proper understanding of its importance.

Developing and underdeveloped countries are those that'll benefit more from the adoption of Bitcoin. The lack of understanding can easily be addressed by enlightenment program been organized across the country so this isn't a problem and when the benefits of Bitcoin adoption are been understood by them they won't see Bitcoin as a curse but a blessing.

Quote
4: I have seen among my acquaintances who still cannot fully trust the bank (banking is some kind of rigging or fraud) and therefore leave their valuable assets (gold or money) on their own instead of depositing them in the bank. For those who do not believe in banks, how exactly will they accept this currency system?

People don't trust the bank because they know the banks are controlled by the government but Bitcoin isn't control by the government but puts the power over your finances in your hands. It'll be easier for people's that distrust the banks to trust Bitcoin because they'll see the difference between the two currencies.

612  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What To Learn from Tinubu on: October 06, 2023, 02:09:41 PM
My Elders, uncle, brothers and sister I greet oh. I no sabi too much and this period i come dey think in the midst of wetin dey happen for Naija wetin I go learn from Tinubu. No vex, I know say somebody fit learn from bad and good. I don put few observation I make below i go like make una advice me and talk una own opinion as concern this topic.

You no suppose they learn the bad things or even list am, as na only good things are worth learning. Tinubu is a dirty man and anybody wey get sense go know that one but unlike others, the man use his own dirty money well na just say as him wan collect presidential power, him over do him own if not many people no for hate am the way dey hate am now and if this injustice was done to others like him (Atiku) we for overlook am but as him do am to a man of the power (Obi) na why everybody dey para.  Tinubu has some good character that can be learnt from like his Boldness, charisma and determination to win against all odds, the money wey him get just amplifier everything bothe the good and the bad.

Absolutely nothing good to learn from tinibu. except bad things.

No, even satan get sometimes to learn from, one good thing to learn form tinubu na the investment in people and when your turn come people wey you invest inside go repay you the favor. While others dey invest in things wey go only benefit dem, tinubu was investing in humans. He gave many man and woman political positions wey dun help them stand on their feet today. As wike help tinubu win rivers state for last election, I hear say when wike been dey do rerun, na tinubu help am defeat amaechi for rivers state as Amaechi been dun already they use federal power collect power from him hand. Weda we like Nigeria politics or not, the way e dey so if you wan enter politic and succeed, no forget to invest in humans and even carry this mentality go into other businesses and you go succeed.

On this thread, i want us to focus on altcoins, you all will agree with me that diversification is very important in investment, and how do you diversify as a cryptocurrency investor?. You diversify by investing in some really good and promising altcoins alongside Bitcoin.

Not totally true because all cryptocurency follows Bitcoin and when you dey diversify you no support diversify for a related market. Assuming altcoins get their own trend and Bitcoin get e own then investing in altcoins when you wan diversify for dey make sense but since na Bitcoin dey control the whole market, anything wey happen to Bitcoin go still happen to altcoins so e just better to stick to Bitcoin. If you wan Invest for altcoins make e be say you wan just gamble or play with your spare money dem make you no go put for mind say you wan diversify. To diversify well you fit invest for landed properties like land or buy houses and rent am out. You fit still invest for the Nigeria stock market as people dey make better block from their.

This is why I am creating this thread for us as locals to discuss altcoins with potentials, what is that altcoin you feel will make its holders millionaires in the coming bull run, based on developments, use case and other facts and evidences you have?, please share with us, I am particularly interested to know and find new altcoins to invest in through this thread.

Any discussion wey you want for the board, you need to initiate am just as you dun do because na wetin people see wey dem go comment on. All discussion dey encourage here because we get something to learn from everything. I just hope e no go get buried like my own wey I been create Altcoins Speculation thread: What projects are you observing to invest & why. truth be say you fit make money from anything wey dey this industry but the risk for some no worth am like chasing after all those shitcoins dem wey na mostly decentralized exchange dem dey trade. Make we dey careful and a safe option na just to stick with Bitcoin but dat one no mean say you no fit profits from altcoins.

As fillipone rightly said in one of his posts, when you dedicate time to learning and readily share your knowledge with people in the forum, you grow not only in knowledge, but in the rewards of impacting meaningful knowledge "Merit". I'm now fully dedicated to continuous learning and contributions with a positive expectation of reaping the fruits of my labor pretty soon.

There are truths in those words, the more you learn the more knowledgeable you become and your impact on the forum will improve as now you won't be writing like most users do but your words will be full of positive contributions to discussion going on, on that particular thread. When that become a habit, you'll begin to get merit fans that'll find your content worth meriting regularly and you increase your rank. Quality contributions doesn't only add to your reputation on the forum but it also affect you outside the forum. The more you're around quality the more knowledgeable you are becoming as well.

I love the goals you have set for yourself, when goals are written that's already a one step closer to achieving that goals. Next you have to work towards those goals as just saying it doesn't mean it'll manifested. The forum appreciate quality so when you become a quality poster, you won't go unnoticed. Also just enjoy the forum while you're trying to increase in rank because the forum becomes easier when you're enjoying your time here learning and not just posting for signature quota.

You should know that no matter the punishment for the person behind these scandals, there will always be bad actors in the crypto ecosystem at the next bull run.
We need to be sure where we put our money, no matter how solid the project or exchange looks like, if the founders mismanage people fund,  we will be burned if we don't take the necessary measures, imagine those who believe Do kwon's Luna.

Are the culprit even getting punished enough, we had so many scams in the past years that's too many to keep track of all. We'll still have more scam events in the future because alot of users will come into the market as newbies when the market starts pumping. This new users won't be informed of the scammers tricks and will still fall for those shiny project that won't last after the bull market as they'll crash like others has done during the bear market. Most projects can't last through their first bear market because their hypes strategy won't work during the bear season. The advice would be, no matter how solid you think a project is, just know if it isn't Bitcoin don't Invest your money because those tokens can be dumped on you by their founders as they exit scam their investors.

Quote
It's just like profit from a bull run and be ruin by scammer or irresponsible player in the crypto ecosystem. Don't be too believing of anyone in the crypto ecosystem, especially with your hard earned money, tred with caution.

Put your money in guarantee investment like landed property if you won't be comfortable holding your Bitcoin through the bear season, Or better still hold fiats as they're better than stablecoin. No stablecoin can be depended on as they can collapse as other stablecoin has done or they lack liquidity for you to sell. Both centralized stablecoin and the decentralized ones had their pros and cons so is better to hold fiats during the bear market season or keep on holding your Bitcoin for the next bull market.
616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My First Advice To Beginner Traders on: October 06, 2023, 11:36:42 AM
Before I proceed any further it's important to know that sometimes our knowledge outside this forum may not equate our ranks here so  that doesn't mean quality information cannot be gotten from a low ranked person on this forum, some of us are good at what we do outside here. That been said let's quickly dive dip into the subject matter.

Obviously quality information can be gotten from lower ranked members, if you had heard that it can't from someone here, don't take it too serious as he/she must have made a mistake generalizing it due to the experience that most newly created accounts are turning out to be troll account or created just to spam the forum to gain activity for potential ranking up after getting the merits by any means they can't. We have had some quality newbie accounts that have gone on to become a popular name on the forum due to their quality, if you have the potential nothing is stopping you from achieving that too but don't post repeated content and expect us to call it quality.

Before you consider going into trading fully as a full time hustle or a hustle on the side, I advise you put the following to consideration first, I will be considering just two points and they are as follows:
1. Mindset.
2. Learning.

Contrary to trading, you can invest in Bitcoin and HODL to avoid the whole stress of trading but if you have made up your mind to trade, doing the two things listed above isn't enough. You can have the right mindset and be learning but you need more than that to have a successful career as a trader because the learning don't stop and the experiences is needed to have a successful career, you also have to know how to generate capital because you don't expect things to go smoothly. This advise though is a good start and if you keep building on them you'll have potential of having a successful career.
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not for Bitcoin on: October 06, 2023, 11:13:44 AM
Upon all this event that has took place,  the crypto industry would have completely collapse if not for the confidence and trust investors have in Bitcoin.

I believe we all know that at some point all this projects will fail as investors begin to lose interest in their service, the industry wasn't built on the reputation of those project so even though they leave the market the market will still be active as it was here before they came. Binance exchange been the biggest, even though it fails (which is evitable) that doesn't mean the industry failed because the market will still be active and running. The reputation of the industry is built on Bitcoin, without Bitcoin there will be no cryptocurency industry which is why it's recommended to invest in Bitcoin and ignore alternative currency or other services been offer that promise doubling your capital like staking and the rest. Build your foundation on Bitcoin and no matter what happens to the rest of the market, you won't be rekt.

The price of Bitcoin will only be affected by this misfortune and that's because a majority of them happens during the bear market and since there's already fear sentiment in the market people begin to panic and sell their Bitcoin which affects the price but only for a short while. The collapsing of project happening only add strength to the saying of buying only Bitcoin and forgetting about any other currency in the market and also it encourages the use of decentralized P2P exchanges.

Best Practice #1: 2FA, You Know?
Turn on that 2-factor authentication, mates. It's like a digital bouncer at your Bitcoin club. Keep the riff-raff out! 🕺

2FA are very important on our accounts as they can prevent hackers from gaining access to our account or carryout out unapproved transaction. They're a second layer of security but when using them, make sure you don't use a centralized 2FA from a centralized service like Google, Authy is better or any other decentralized authenticator app that don't store your keys online (on a centralized server). Also be sure to keep your backup keys safely in an offline manner that hackers can't get access to.

Tool #2: Browser Shields
For our non-native pals, browser shields like MetaMask can help spot scammy sites. They're like your online bodyguards, savvy?

Metamask isn't a recommended wallet to use and in regards to browser shield, using Brave Bowser offers you that protection and it's a more recommendable browser to use instead chrome, avoid anything related to Google, they're not the best when it comes to privacy and security.

And there are those who are most trusted known as DT members. Lastly staff, administrator, and founder.

As for DT they are the most trusted members of the forum. Do they hold the same powers? Like banning somebody? What are their limits? Can a DT be staff or moderator and vice versa. As for the rest of the ranks, I know enough.

DT aren't the most trusted, DT 1 is gotten by appointment by theymos and they're selected from a number of members that met the DT requirements DefaultTrust changes. DT2 are those trusted by DT 1. You can be among those with the most trust feedback yet, you're not a DT 1 member. DT don't have power to ban anybody on the forum, they don't have administrative power to delete posts or do any thing. Consider them to be police of the forum as their feedback on your profile has a lot of weight.

_ Attend meet up and conference, the Bitcoin community is awesome.

Everything you said so far are basic knowledge that any beginner that joins the forum with the intention of learning will get to know very fast but I don't totally agree with two points and that's what I'll be reacting to. Attending meetups are not recommended because of privacy, we're meant to be private because the world isn't safe anymore. People with lots of money in the industry can easily become a traget at this meet up and conferences. You don't need to attend then to become well informed because you can get any resources that you need for your research and learning process on the internet. Beside most of this conference doesn't have much or anything to do with Bitcoin but an advertisement attempting to launch another shit project that'll fail like the rest are failing.

_join #bitcoin Twitter: it's less lonely with fellow holders.

Twitter is the worst social platforms to join because there are lost of distraction from moon boys on the twitter crypto space. You'll see lots of scammers disguise as traders claiming they can sell you a strategy that'll make you profits in days.or you see influencers hyping shitcoin as the next big thing in the market. If you're looking for a social platform to keep you company then joining the forum is the best option. Avoid twitter because it's full of altcoins getting hyped to pump and dump.
