121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ned Scott owner Steem loses it publicly on: February 04, 2018, 03:30:45 PM
Steem a fake decentralized crypto, 21 miners hand picked by owner through fake bot accounts.
The suckers 99.99% who post for not even 1 cent reward.

Owner decides to show his centralized power by writing 3 words and he upvotes, his vote full power worth $6000 it was halved by ex partner his downvote -3k.

So now all the users with less than 1 cent power see how steem is really created, through centralized voting power 99.9% controlled by owner.

So the scam is over steem another centralized piece of shit system.

Just like Bitcoin less that 1% wallets control 99% of Bitcoin wealth

So you new user steem u worth not even 1 cent power owner had $6k vote power plus an army of bots with same power, if you know that will you waste your resources there?

Retards will

You can barely speak english, yet you come here making claims. Unfounded, as well. Show us some proof or gtfo. Don't own any steem, couldn't care less about it, just so you know.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: January 31, 2018, 08:03:04 PM
In my opinion , ETH is now more hot than BTC because the explosion of ICOs base on ETH Blockchain. During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. What do you think guys?

I am firmly convinced that eth will take the reins off btc in 2018. It's just better, even with btc getting and lightning and actual scaling issues get fixed. The ethereum alliance is going to bring crypto into mainstream use.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worth buy XRB (RaiBlocks) at the moment? on: January 31, 2018, 07:59:47 PM
Yeah, 10$ would've been a good time to get in. Now it's already going crazy. Probably gonna be on a continual upside until it reaches top 10 or so. Lots of potential with XRB. Sad not to have invested when I should've. Like with VeChain.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it enough? on: January 31, 2018, 07:57:12 PM
The number of bitcoin is only 21 million, is that enough for the future?
given the vision of bitcoin to become world currency?

what do you think of this?

It's good in the sense that value will keep increasing over the next years (hopefully), but I'm not terribly fond of the complete lack of inflation. Inflation of around 2-3% per year is necessary and healthy, imo. That's why something like eth has advantage in the long run.
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bubble bursting? on: January 31, 2018, 07:50:39 PM
Bitcoin has fallen in price, as it has problems with slowness and transaction hanging and the high cost of commission fees. Therefore, he decently lost in his popularity, investors do not want to invest more in him. On the other hand, so far with such a cost of ten thousand dollars can not be said that bitcoin has become a big bubble and this bubble is already bursting right. This is fiction. Bitcoin is able to swell in its bubble and up to one hundred thousand dollars and it is unlikely to burst. And at a price of ten thousand, neither about a bubble is out of the question.

Not the case anymore. Fees have fallen through the roof, you can get into the next block with less than 5 bucks now. The fall in price is tied with the tether fud mostly. Sad to see the markets so affected by something relatively meaningless. The news about the subpoena is 2 months old, if I'm not mistaken.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Official XRB rebrand to NANO. Also, launch of NANEX formerly Rai Exchange on: January 31, 2018, 07:46:51 PM
Bright future ahead for this project, that's for sure. I heard that it was airdropped through a faucet-like website, is that true? Must've made some lucky people a lot of money.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO ETN HAVE FUTURE...? on: January 31, 2018, 07:43:48 PM
I INVESTED IN ELECTRONEUM ETN IN THE LAST DECEMBER BUT UNTIL, I DID'T SEEN MUCH GROWTH IN IT SHOULD I HAVE TO HOLD IT OR SELL..?

Can anyone give me the rundown on why electroneum should even be considered buying? I think the fact that they employ scummy tactics like the mobile mining bullshit renders it worthless. What is the actual purpose of this coin?
128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the downfall of bitcoin? on: January 31, 2018, 07:37:10 PM
I am holding, many people holding and watching the show Smiley
Just hodl and wait.
BITCOIN will never fail and 2018 will be the another great year for Crypto.

You got no way of knowing that. I think that btc will get overtaken by Ether this year. Eth has been showing independent trends for the past month or so. Excited to see the possibility of stability with eth being no.1
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: AIRDROP OPEN: Telegram 💠 DIWtoken.com 💠 [WHITELIST OPEN] 💠 on: January 30, 2018, 05:05:24 PM
The concept is definitely interesting. The secure vault for private information is definitely something that's in finite supply. But as far as I'm aware, there are other projects out there competing in the same market. What is it that will make diw come on top?
130  Other / Meta / Re: how you guys think about MERIT ? on: January 26, 2018, 09:11:33 AM
I guess it was needed to separate the weed, but it personally hurts me. I am a long time member, and now in the mercy of people to achieve next level. I would rather have a more deterministic way to get there - activity is definitely one metric, but blocking promotion based on additional merit collection is unjust. Of course I am biased as I am getting screwed in the process, and I can see tons of hero members who joined in the bitcoin world lot later than me, and are now hero just because they joined bitcointalk at the right time when the activity crap came on.

It is kinda harsh on those that are basically alone here, so to speak. There should be an incentive to spend sMerits on quality posts. No clue on how that could possibly be done, though.
131  Other / Meta / Re: how you guys think about MERIT ? on: January 25, 2018, 11:30:22 PM
but how does merit work?

Next to the quote button you have a new Merit button. There are 2 types of merit basically, one that you own and cannot be lost (for now, at least) and another type of merit called sMerit that you basically give away to others and it adds up to theirs.

How you guys thinks about MERIT? good? or?
any opinion ?

I guess it needs some fine tuning...but honestly it was absolutely necessary. The forum is grossly congested with cancer posts the like of "great project sir", "when moon sir". Something needed to be done and my honest opinion is that this is a step in the right direction.

Everything new is cool. Also it's nice to see that forum develops.  I didn't still get the idea of merit but I understand that it's a motivation vehicle.

My take on it is that the main purpose is to curve the account farming that's been going on for the better part of last year. Plus a ton of barely literate people spamming threads across the board in order to rank up so as to benefit even more from airdrops and the likes. An english proficiency test should also be conducted when signing up. I'm joking, of course, but sure wouldn't mind something like that.

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When can I expect my coins to recover? Feeling very depressed... on: January 25, 2018, 07:13:15 PM
I am pretty new. I bought in all my coins on January 9th and it is hard seeing all of my coins in red. Every one of them is still down 40%-60% and I am wondering if will ever recover? The problem is that I am not sure if the projects I invested in are simply under-performing or I just entered at a terrible time.  Cry

These are the coins I bought and hodling ($500 invested each into btc, eth, and ltc and $120 invested each into the other altcoins):

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Icon, Neo, Dragonchain, Wabi, Enigma, ETHLend, bounty0x, Po.et, Substratum, Neblio, UTrust, Medibloc, Enjincoin

Realistically, when should I expect to recover? I am scared that I am going to be in this bloodbath for long time and make no profit. I want to make at least $1000 profit by June-July to visit my grandfather in Korea to buy plane ticket. Please help. It is very hard to be patient. When will I see some light  Huh

We've all been there, friend. The most important skill one has to learn in this business, is not to give in to feelings. Fear, especially that of missing out can be a real pain in the ass and, honestly, what sets apart winners from losers. Tried and tested by yours truly.

That being said, somebody must've given you a few lectures on crypto cause your picks are more than solid. Don't know that much about po.et, utrust, ethlend or medibloc but your other choices are top notch. Wabi and Substratum are what I consider hidden gems (is there even such a thing in crypto top 200? Maybe). Neblio, dragonchain and bounty come close. Solid projects, solid teams. On the long run they'll all be top 30-50 contenders. There is no need to fret, unless you put in money you need soon. Which should never happen.

yes because a great way to help the community is helping new members... but those new members have no Merit to pay your efforts for helping them out.. Which kind of defeats the purpose ?? But it works just for quality posts in general , but i think helping newer members should reward something in this system imo...
Sources monitor eg the Beginners&Help section and reward those helping out newcommers. Problem solved.

if that is being done then i agree that would work... if there is a few "merit monitors"
but man giving like 1 merit for a few good quality posts when somebody needs hundred or more is really tough....
basically anybody close to ranking up is screwed over currently which sucks and anybody who is Senior Member + can just kick back
Long term this could be a positive thing for the forum but man it sucks big time for anybody close to ranking up in the next couple weeks

I guess the system could use some fine tuning. But man oh man, am I glad to see the bots and beggars posting cancer like "nice project sir", "when moon sir" get screwed over. We REALLY needed something to address this stuff. I guess it's a little harsh as of now, but I don't mind it staying this way if we can get rid of these vermin.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coins are about to implode? on: January 24, 2018, 07:20:09 PM
Verge. Being the first of the pumps made by Mcaffee, it was also the biggest. Verge brings absolutely NOTHING to the table. It is the shittiest shitcoin in top 50. Doge is a close second, but at least doge is quite decent at doing what it's meant to do. XVG is a pnd coin that is just waiting to implode.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: stupid millionaire or risk to be Billionaire ? on: January 24, 2018, 03:54:16 PM
The idea is to always mitigate the risk by never putting all your eggs in one basket. A saying that works for pretty much every other investment opportunity out there. The way I go about mitigating the risk is having 50% of my money in fiat. That way I don't lose too much when the market dips or even crashes and I have the advantage of being able to buy at premium prices. Would never use something the likes of tether or anything like that, tbh.
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 good year or bad year for Cryptocurrency ? on: January 24, 2018, 03:49:18 PM
Fairly certain it's going to be even better than 2017. Just a few days ago, Binance was getting 250k new signups every hour. 250k. Per hour. That is absolutely insane. And once the Korea situation settles down, giving the whole ecosystem a ton of legitimacy by showing that regulation is possible and actually has a positive effect...I think we'll be soaring to heights some would never dream.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] DADI – Cloud web services, powered by blockchain technology on: January 23, 2018, 09:53:01 PM
I was really interested in dadi, but was put off by the claim that the whitepaper is copied off of another project. Or at least parts of it. Can anyone shed some light on this situation? Has there been a confirmation or infirmation?
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Buy? on: January 23, 2018, 09:49:59 PM
There is a lot of uncertainty these days, so I'd advise any newbie reading this to approach with care. I bought a lot of stuff when the overall marketcap was around 450 billions a few days. Timed it just right, but that doesn't mean it can't go lower, it's just that I don't find it likely. However, this volatility got me a lil scared, to say the least. The crypto markets are always irrational, but lately they seem to have been incredibly irrational. Or maybe I don't have enough information to understand the exact reason for this behavior.
