3  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 28, 2024, 08:07:58 PM
Being a graduate is definitely the key, but it doesn't automatically make you wealthy. That key is more like a ticket, so you can open a door, and then you can join a certain competition that a non-graduate people can not join. The result of that competition whether you are winning or not will be determined by other factors, like your skills, ability, smartness, toughness, your effort, etc. Sure there is another key and door to join the competition, but it's so hidden and uncertain. Education, or being a graduate is the most certain way to get the key to join the competition of life.
Education is very very important, but being educated and being graduate are not the same thing. If you studied and know what you are doing then you will definitely be good, that is how it happens and we should consider that as the most important part.

However, it is also important to remember that most people get a job with a diploma, unless it is totally unwanted one you will find a job even if it is not in your field because like that tv show once said you go to school not to learn it all, some people do, but you go there to show your potential employer that you have gone somewhere for 4 years, did tasks semi-ok enough to graduate and can be trusted. So that works for any business that doesn't require a diploma, but prefers one.
A diploma is legality or proof that we have studied or as proof that we already have knowledge.
It cannot be denied that in some countries, legality is quite necessary to get a job.
To compare people to be rich or poor based on the diploma or education they have completed is not fair, but what needs to be understood is that the percentage of people who get a job is much greater if they have a diploma.
I think that is enough to prove that education/diploma is important.

So true, and I live in one of those country that still needs a diploma to get a job. I partly regret my decision to take English major and now all I get is quite useless English literature diploma, I took several courses of digital design and I have been working as graphic designer for years now, I have a lot of portfolios but still I cannot get a full-time job here, (I could but I will be paid a lot less that people who have related degree) . I only work as a freelancer and most of my freelance employer is from other countries, so yes having a diploma is still important part of getting a job in here and some other countries, it allows us to join in a certain competition.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: How can it be possible coping with one source of income on: February 28, 2024, 07:55:17 PM
Well from my experience relying to only one income these days is impossible, at least it's impossible to live comfortably. Even if we make twice of the minimum wage, it still just enough to cover for our basic needs. If you have a main-job you have the option to do a side hustle as a freelancer this will be instant side income, or if you have more time you can build a small business in your spare time, start small so it wouldn't take much of your time.

For me expanding and adding my source of income works better than limiting my expense, because day by day all price keep raising, so I can't really limiting my expense no matter what i do.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tether Confirms Extensive Collaboration With DOJ, FBI and Secret Service on: February 28, 2024, 07:49:17 PM

Another reason people should stop using tether (USDT), which is among the most stable coins we have in the crypto market right now, and it ranks in the top 3 according to coin . marketcap

It will be hard for people to completely stop using Tether, at least in the near future, because it's like one of the earliest Stablecoin pegged by Fiat, so it has the top of mine when people want to use Stablecoin, its like the OG. I preferred Bitcoin for my transaction as freelancer but some of my clients want to use USDT, some of them are not so familiar with crypto or they are still new to it, so they prefer to use Stablecoin, something that still close to Fiat. I believe there will be time when those people who use Tether will finally move on to Bitcoin when they know more about crypto and what's the benefit that it brings. But for now I think we need to accept (and keep warning people) that some of early newcomers of crypto still need to use Tether.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitForex halts withdrawals, stops responding to users after $56.M was moved on: February 28, 2024, 07:43:20 PM
Is Bitforex quite popular? because I have never even heard of BitForex previously, and I have known some not so popular centralized exchange like Bitmex and Mercatox. And I just tried to open it without VPN, and the site is banned by my provider (not blocked by cloudfare because I was redirected to the provider block sites). My provider only block porn and/or malicious sites, related to fraud or scam so BitForex might have been flagged and considered dangerous for a while. Sometimes I glad that my ISP block those kind of site, but it also annoying because it also block many other neutral sites like Reddit.

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The power of consistency, patience and perseverance . on: February 28, 2024, 02:27:56 PM
Being consistence and perseverance is not always mean that we need to keep posting everyday, I think it's also not wrong if we feel that our post or their writing is getting meaningless and dull, and they decide to spend more time on just reading some post and getting information and learning, and then when we think we have enough resource and knowledge we ready to post we can post again. Sometimes just reading stuff and filing our glass, will end up giving better result than just spitting non-sense relentlessly.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin ! on: February 28, 2024, 02:21:59 PM
I would wait for a little bit of correction before buying another Bitcoin at least waiting for a week if there is any correction, Bitcoin price has been rising through the roof for a couple of days, and I think if I buy this kind of time, I would be buying in one of a peak. I already own some Bitcoins so I don't need to FOMO, so if I did miss and the price keep going up, I wouldn't so disappointed. But again, I think there should be some small correction very soon.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Is fossil fuels REALLY running out quickly, or do we still have time? on: February 28, 2024, 02:17:43 PM
Depends on what you mean as 'quickly', according to this article on Stanford fossil fuel will be run out in about half a century, and for me that's very quick. If we talk about the most mainstream topic related to the fossil fuel, then it is a vehicle, I know that industry and manufactory consume a lot of fuel but I guess people can relate more to the car topic. Electric car were invented in early 1800's but it needs more than a decade to be pushed to public in about late 1980's /early 1990s, their improvement has been stagnant and fall far behind combustion engine car, until Lithium battery invented in 2003, and up until know, electric car is barely mainstream, it still cost a lot more with less support from 3rd party mechanic, and in some place very few charging place. If we compare those timeline with the time we have left to replace fossil fuel completely, then there might be a time when we are forced to use electric car, but it's not fully comfortable yet.

I wouldn't talk about any consipracy theory, because if take that into account, then there would be an infinity of ifs.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why inflated countries should adopt Bitcoin to help boost their economy. on: February 28, 2024, 02:03:59 PM
Bitcoin have a lot of benefits and could affect a countries economy positively due to it's transparency and inflation hedge, however my major point of focus is on inflation.
1. It is the fastest way to combat inflation, due to it's limited supply, making it more scarce and costlier, which could help strengthen a countries economy.
2. Bitcoin has a transaction cost making it easier for financial industries and traders to carry out transactions without worrying about high cost of transaction fees.
3. It's transaction rate is quicker and can help, business men, traders and individuals transact very quickly.
4. If a government accepts Bitcoin as a alternative to fiat
it could make currency exchange effortlessly and it cannot be influenced by corrupt governments officials.
5. I've seen no reason why some countries would be fighting against Bitcoin instead of adopting it into their system, I think any country doing that is fighting a lost fight and would be forced to accept it on the long run.

You got all those points right, Bitcoin could really be the solution for countries that are still currently fighting inflation. But I think there is another issue, first is the infrastructure, Bitcoin needs internet connection and at the very least a phone, and as far as I know many of the countries who are currently undergoing inflation is poor/3rd world countries and they might not have the required infrastructures to encourage their people to use Bitcoin. And the second issue is the people themselves, I know that most of the people who live in those country and especially the consumer is young people, but I think there are many business owners are seniors, for those seniors who never heard of Bitcoin or Crypto it would be difficult for them to move on, even if the want to, and before that they also need to be convinced that Bitcoin is safe to use.

13  Local / Ekonomi, Politik, dan Budaya / Re: BBM turun masyarakat sejahtera ? on: February 27, 2024, 12:48:23 PM

14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: school education system is designed to kill good guy but allow bad guy to live on: February 27, 2024, 12:39:19 PM
the school education system is designed to favoring female preference.

good guy like newton isaac died a virgin boy

bad guy is allowed to live and bang many chicks

clueless guy who isnt good or isnt bad is foreveralone and keep neeting.

Too bad in the pandemic, a lot of good guy in the education sector died too, I look at the wiki on the covid19 died list, I find it amusing, it must not be coincidental.

I really don't understand how you determine how education system works from what kind of people have the most sexual activity. I don't think anyone has ever think that the purpose of going to school is to have sex. Some people might go to school for socializing, make friend, but that's not  the main purpose, that's just the side benefit, and having sex is far far away from the purpose of formal education. An institution of formal education was designed so people can have a place to experience standardized study, it has nothing to do with sexual activity.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: February 27, 2024, 10:30:46 AM

I respectfully disagree with the statement that AI will entirely replace human workers. While it's true that AI might automate some repetitive physical tasks, I believe it will mostly complement human workers in complex jobs. AI could act as an assistant, but it won't fully replace these positions. Instead, job responsibilities might shift as AI takes on some tasks, demanding higher-level skills and adaptation from workers. As AI becomes more prominent, it's crucial for us to continuously learn new skills and embrace change to thrive in this evolving era.

True, after all human will always be needed to tell AI what to do (or give the rough idea about what needs to be done) at the very least, not to mention that currently AI can only do all the things it could do because they learn from human. But it's also true if this emerging and growth of AI is not followed by good regulation by the government, AI will definitely make a lot of people unemployed. I am not saying limiting AI's ability in doing job, just enforcing copyright infringement to AI developer so people's work that is used to train their AI will be credited the creator will get some benefit from it.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't it all about money? on: February 27, 2024, 10:19:51 AM
I don't know about other people, but for me it's not about money, it's about comfort, what I am looking for at the end of the day is comfort. But then again, to achieve that comfort money play big roles. But I think there is still different, for example, I wouldn't do any job that I am not comfortable with, event though it paid a lot of money. Eventhough sometimes, the money could cover my uncomfortability and I finally make a compromise, but then again what I am looking for is comfort.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi worked for the NSA? on: February 27, 2024, 04:16:30 AM
I don't think there is enough connection to even assume that Satoshi has anything to do with government or even part of NSA. If Satoshi and Bitcoin is a product of NSA the Bitcoin's source code, wouldn't be completely open source. All that being said, I don't have a concrete evidence if US (or other) government doesn't have anything to do with the making and emerging of Bitcoin, but in the development of it, Bitcoin development path has been decided by people so far.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Backing Fiat with Bitcoin...A possibility? on: February 27, 2024, 03:56:42 AM
What if someday central banks like the FED and the ECB decide to back their currencies with Bitcoin? If the FED used to back the USD with Gold, then what's stopping them from doing the same with BTC?

Do you think this is a possibility? If not, why? What will happen to the global economy if major Fiat currencies are tied to the value of Bitcoin? Will it prosper?

The thing that stopped them from doing that would be politics, central bank would need other countries to consider Bitcoin as a legitimate thing to backed a fiat, so their currency would be recognized by other countries, which in my opinion will be a very difficult obstacle. Bitcoin is not something that could be controlled by government and many government is not familiar with Bitcoin, and this will discourage them from using it to back a currency. Gold on the other hand, has been around forever and governments around the world know how it works.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Save money today so money would save you tomorrow. on: February 27, 2024, 03:47:06 AM
I agree that emergency fund is important, and everyone should aware of that, but only relying on saving is not a good thing too. Our money will be eroded by inflation, so we might have the same amount of money that we have today for tomorrow, but the value will not. So, other than saving for emergency fund, put some money in investment like crypto or stock is also a good idea. Tho we would still need to have emergency fund in case we need quick cash.
