141  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan Chase fights 45 billion hack attempts a day. on: January 20, 2024, 08:39:40 AM
Before all crypto and Bitcoin getting popular, there has been many fraud and hacking happened to Bank and through people's bank account, I don't know why people think that Bank is safer than Crypto, it's easier to steal people's data that required to claim bank account, then to steal wallet credential. The only upper-side of Bank in term of fund security is that they can immediately freeze the hacker account where they send the stolen fund, it's not possible with crypto, but from my experience they never have responded quick enough to freeze the hacker account, the hacker usually are faster and already withdraw the money.
142  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the export of goods related to manufacturing capabilities or resources? on: January 20, 2024, 08:31:03 AM
I think it's related to both manufacturing capabilities and resources, most 3rd world and developing country with lack of expert and technology doesn't have the manufacturing capability, so they only relies on the raw material resources that has lower value in the market, but developed country that has advanced technology and expert will already have good industry and manufacturing capabilities they can buy raw materials from the countries mentioned before that doesn't have manufacturing capabilities and then export it to other nations, even export it back to the countries where those raw material came from and multiplies the price.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: A person that is against the creation of CBDC. on: January 20, 2024, 08:22:49 AM
Trump definitely has a good point, eventho the government could also take our Fiat money, but there will still be due and transparent process when government trying to take fiat money, but with CBDC saved on custodial wallet by the government, they can just take CBDC money without even need to disclose the reasons.

And IMHO people don't really need government CBDC, but government might think they need it, it's easier to be monitored and controlled compared to even centralized non-governmental cryptocurrency.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved, next Ethereum ETF? on: January 18, 2024, 02:18:17 PM
Ethereum ETF should be much more easier than Bitcoin because it has central entity, so depends on how Ethereum are pushing and negotiating with the SEC if the Ethereum company are acutally wanted ETH to has it's ETF. But so far I haven't heard Vitalik Buterrin making any comment about Ethereum ETF, he was focused on raising the gas price to enhance the Ethereum network.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: The savings problem on: January 18, 2024, 02:04:16 PM
The only similar thing that happening in my country is the surging of housing price, other than that I think it's slightly different. The salary growth is not stagnant, the average salary has been tripled compared to 10 years ago in here. And there are definitely more and more people buying cars. I think there are a lot more middle-middle and upper-middle class than lower-middle class and an actual poor people, less people are unemployed tho it still many.

My non-expert guess is that the economic crisis hit harder on the developed nation than on the developing nation and 3rd world nation. All that being said, I do agree that a change would improve global economic in general.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 18, 2024, 01:44:42 PM
Paying for a house with bitcoin sounds to me a mistake or lack of financial knowledge.

This is one of the result of shilling Bitcoin by speculators and influencer, some people are surprised that other people actually use Bitcoin as payment method and not just for speculations. Bitcoin was initially invented as currency, spending Bitcoin on House or any other stuff shouldn't be a mistake, it's the same as when people went to cashout their stock to buy some stuff that they need.

And I think it's a good thing that real-estate market in Argentina accepting Bitcoin as payment.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: The world's logic favours income makers, not the savers on: January 18, 2024, 03:30:04 AM
I think saving money is still important, at least from where I came from where credit card is not so popular. There will be time when I will need some not small amount of money for emergency, so most people I know and me myself still have saving for emergency fund. But I do agree when we stack money and just let let it laying around it never turn into a good thing, the value will be consumed by inflation and we are not moving the economic.

Using our money to establish a business will do much more contribution to the economy, hiring employee, buying from vendors, paying distributors, etc.

149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xmr mixed with Btc, good idea? on: January 18, 2024, 02:50:08 AM
Tho it seems like a good idea, but there are some disadvantages of monero privacy, especially on the adoption side. As we know that currently the major problem for Bitcoin adoption is government support because they don't like how Bitcoin is pseudonymous and we also can't deny that because of this people use some workaround to do money laundry with Bitcoin. Imagine if Bitcoin applied the same anonymity as Monero, the struggle will be far more, and government will be more skeptical and they will less likely to legalize or adopt Bitcoin in anyway.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you made anything with ICO's? on: January 17, 2024, 01:53:59 AM
I don't know if the terms ICO is still popular for now, there is definitely new project that raised fund by offering their coin, but I rarely read that they use this term. For me, I made more profit with ICO then with trading or holding coin, by percentage of the initial capital I used on each investment, the biggest profit I get with 8000x times, but actually this project turns out failed after 2 years or something, I sell it few months before the project failed and (maybe) rugpulled.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: girl math vs boy math on: January 17, 2024, 01:40:00 AM
This is clearly an overgeneralization, each individual, doesn't matter what's between their legs have different mindset based on so many things, I know many men who spent most of their money on sneakers, gym supplement, or luxury watch even though their saving is minimal, and the they definitely doesn't have any investment. On the other hand there many of my female peers who invest in housing, stock, or even crypto. And vice versa I also know women who don't invest and man who invest a lot.

My point is assuming that all human with vagina is financially retarded and all human with penis is financially advanced is extremely outdated mindset.
152  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 17, 2024, 01:31:43 AM
I don't know about other countries education curriculum, but when I was kid in elementary and middle school, I was taught about saving money, tax, and stock, not in detail just a rough explanation about all of that, and how to do it. For saving money my elementary school gave us an account that we can safe some of our lunch money. I guess the reason why there is no advance financial education like investment is because it's too risky to be taught on underage and maybe not suitable for everyone.

153  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The best countries tax wise for Bitcoin on: January 14, 2024, 10:02:17 PM

January 4th 2022 article, unknown website https://koinly.io/blog/crypto-tax-free-countries/

Can't find the exact number for the crypto tax on this article, most of it is tricks on how to avoid getting taxed on crypto. But I always consider that Indonesia is still generous related to tax, 0.11% for crypto trading plus 0.1% for annual profit. But there are also specific tax for miners on top of those 2 tax, so miners will get doubled (or triple) tax because they get taxed when they store their mined Bitcoin and they will be taxed again when they trade their Bitcoin, and taxed again if they hold their mined Bitcoin and it gain value.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if authorities launch a tax for owning bitcoin? on: January 14, 2024, 09:42:44 PM
I think it's too difficult (but not impossible) to apply tax for owning Bitcoin due to the pseudonymous system of Bitcoin ownership, people can just store their Bitcoin on a wallet that are unknown to government. However Bitcoin transaction can easily be taxed on the Centralized Exchange, and that's is already implemented in my country, every crypto transaction, both crypt-crypto or crypto-fiat is taxed as much as 0.11% of the amount transacted, this is regulated by law. So, all exchange must follow.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Blockchain Help Education? on: January 14, 2024, 09:35:01 PM
Will Blockchain Help Education?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU87ScXVwE4

If Blockchain can help education, it will be on the data storage  I think the matter what the opposite is the case. It is education that can enhance Blockchain to develop to another level and not Blockchain to help education. And if I may ask "how"? Because even the YouTube video you provided didn't give me the clear information I was needed. It is only those who educated create Blockchain and not Blockchain to create education.

I do agree that the video is not quite answer any question related to how Blockchain could improve education.

But I think it could be both way, Education can help blockchain and Blockchain can help education, just like the Internet, Internet can help spread education more easily and then educated people could help enhance the Internet. And the main thing that Blockchain could help is data processing, but there are a lot of things we can do with improved data processing. A more simple example might be the less centralized and more democratic paper and research publishing, or more transaprent fund raising for educational purposes, etc.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 7k usdt on: January 14, 2024, 06:10:03 AM
With 7K capital $30 daily ($900) would still be possible but everything need to be perfect, Bitcoin is definitely the first option and it's a good season to start investing in Bitcoin. Other thing might be to stake 3 or 4 of the top 10 Altcoins. Diversify the portfolio to avoid risk. If you are not so sure, you always the option to do DCA, so not put all that 7K in one instance.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Gainers Among Token on: January 14, 2024, 06:02:10 AM
I never use the 24H chart, that's too short, and I think it will lead us to deceiving conclusion omitted the bigger context, even daily traders use the 7D chart. 24 is too short wether a coin/token is in an uptrend or downtrend. And as we can see there only few of the project mentioned on the OP is a famous project, most of them were never heard of.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: Vitalik Buterin's Financial Advice on: January 14, 2024, 05:56:46 AM

* Save. Get to the point where you have enough to cover multiple years of expenses. Financial safety is freedom.

I do agree that financial safety is freedom but for some people saving up to the point where they can cover multiple years of expenses will take decade. IMHO the minimum amount of this kind of emergency fund is to be enough for 6 months worth of our spending, multiple years is also good but I think it would be better to use that money to grow business.

* Be boring with most of your portfolio.

I don't really get what does this phrase means, does boring portoflio means risk-free or should we buying only big name?
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to generate a Bitcoin Statement of Transaction on: January 13, 2024, 10:33:53 PM
I assume that this is for a more formal and legal use, because I rarely see someone actually use this kind of Transaction Statement, I usually only use the TXID to proof that I have sent the money, and only if necessary  signed a message to proof that I own the address. I wonder from other people point of view, which one has less chance to expose/spread our pseudonymity? Using TXID and Signed Message or Transaction Statement?
160  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 13, 2024, 10:21:52 PM
I don't know why you do that, but you are exaggerating the numbers, no one earns $500 just by doing Digital Marketing, no one will earn $150 just by becoming Virtual Assistant, especially on the site like fiver where you pay minimum of $5 per project and upwork where the minimum is $3 per hour. If that number is correct all the freelancer from South Asia and South East Asia will be a millionaire by now.
