There is mobile internet - at least in cities and around highways.  I think africa will be very soon show what's possible with bitcoin in areas with corrupt governments and inflated money. If smartphones become cheaper bitcoin could have a huge impact on the economy and society there.
And of course if LN works and transaction costs go really down. High transaction costs might be the main reason it is only used in totally wrecked economies (Zimbabwe) or "rich" african countries (Kenya, SA, Ghana)
M-Pesa is successful in parts of Africa - it's only a small step from there to cryptocurrencies.

As far as i understand the project, i can't imagine they will pay exchanges to get listed.


EDIT: grin supply at tradeogre (sic)  orderbook almost doubled since yesterday. Maybe a sign that it might be more difficult to thin out the market supply to get that pumpy feeling again ?

We could use fluorescent color for writing or printing bitcoin propaganda on the notes.
Euro notes have fluorescent elements and are checked regularly with UV-light in stores etc.
The writing would only appear when checked but it would always be there and work in a subliminal way to the money-unconsciousness of the society while no one can make you responsible for the  "malicous" reasons ("how could i know this banknote is full of bitcoin propaganda")

Looke it up for germany. It seems to be fully legal, as the Euro banknotes are your possession (not the central banks) but if you destroy it "mutwillig" (malicous?) it looses it's value and does not have to be accepted by the bank or anyone anymore.
Maybe defacing is o.k. in Germany as there is no Queens face affected 

But i think no one cares about that at the moment (unless it would become some kind of mass phenomena  )

Meiner Meinung nach schwingt in der Diskussion um bitcoins Stromverbrauch zu sehr die unausgesprochene Meinung mit: "bitcoin ist den Stromverbrauch nicht wert"
Je nach moralischem Standpunkt kann man die Messlatte "Sinnhaftigkeit" für Stromverbrauch an alles anlegen was einem irgendwie quer liegt - mir fällt da spontan auch vieles ein.
Jedes Land hat die Möglichkeit über Strompreise die sinnvolle Verwendung seiner Ressourcen zu kontrollieren.
China wird - neben Korruption - also seine Gründe haben das laufen zu lassen - vermutlich geht es auch um (gefühlten) Einfluss und vielleicht auch um den Abbau von Überkapazitäten im Stromnetz.

Es gibt noch eine mögliche "Alternativhyptothese" zu "Bitcoin muss zurück auf Phase 1 weil es in einer Hyperwave ist"
nämlich: "Bitcoin muss nicht zurück zu Phase 1, weil er gar nicht in einer Hyperwave ist"
und das kann man erst hinterher sicher feststellen.

Dass Bitcoin in einer Hyperwave ist und alle nötigen Phasen durchlaufen hat würde sich erst bestätigen, wenn alle Phasen durchlaufen wären.
Werden nicht alle Phasen durchlaufen, also wenn wir z.B. jetzt schon den Boden erreicht hätten, wäre es keine Hyperwave und müsste dann auch nicht alle Phasen durchlaufen, also nicht zurück auf Phase 1.

Der alte Mann hat seine Hyperwave Thesen auf Basis von in der Vergangenheit abgelaufen Zyklen erstellt - die konnten eindeutig als Hyperwave definiert werden. Eine Live Beurteilung einer Hyperwave könnte aber durchaus schwieriger sein und hat er vlt. auch nicht so oft (oder noch nie) gemacht.

Ich bin mir nicht mehr so sicher, ob man sich da auf dieser Basis so sicher sein kann, wie er es zu sein scheint.
Zumal bitcoin - anders als fast alle anderen Anlageklassen - völlig unabhängig von irgendwelchen Fundamentaldaten zu laufen scheint und sich deshalb auch nach einer bubble nicht wie Aktien verhalten muss.

Auf jedem Fall habe ich aktuell keine Lust meine Nerven mit einer Rückkehr zu Phase 1 zu belasten
