1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This time for meme coin? on: July 17, 2023, 09:12:53 AM
You probably know that almost all new meme projects are coming out now. Do you think it is really risky? what effect do you think this could have for the bull market!
It isn't really risky at all.
It is very, very, very risky.

Meme coins come, and go. Though I believe that there will be a time in the future where Meme coins will be on hype again, most of them will not last for years because most if not all of them are just being created for the sake of scamming people. If you are thinking of investing into these meme coins, there is one word that I will say to you. "DON'T". If you are risking your money investing into something, at least not into meme coins FFS. I tried investing on a random meme coin, and lost all of it. F*ck MEME COINS!!!!!

I believe that there will be a next meme coin hype in the future, but I think that it will not be the same as what it was at first. For sure, only few investors will try to invest into these meme coins again once they got hyped because they've learned from the past 2 meme coin hypes. Those who invested, and lost money investing into it will not touch them anymore, and those who learned from the experience from somebody will also not invest into them. As for me, I will not touch them at all.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Bull/Bear Market Which Do you Prefer? on: July 17, 2023, 07:10:45 AM
Among the two which of them do you prefer, is it the bull market or the Bear Market? And why?
Both.
I mean there are opportunities in both the bear and the bull market. During the bear market, you have the opportunity to buy different cryptocurrencies at a discounted price. On the other hand, during the bull run, you also have the opportunity to sell your coins at a huge profit. I mean why choose between the 2 of them. It all comes to opportunities because that's what investing is. You grab opportunities in order for the investor to have huge profits.

Some are investing for the bull market  and once the bull market comes they offload the wallet.
Investing, and waiting for the bull market to happen is the most popular strategy that medium to long term holders are doing. They invest during the bear market, hold that coin for years, then offload it, and sell during the bull run. One of the easiest strategy to do, but definitely not the easiest one to implement because there are investors who are greedy enough to the point where if their target price was reached, they will feel that it might go even higher thus, waiting for price to go even higher, but there are times where the opposite happens causing them to feel disappointed.

some are perpetual in the holding both in the bull and the bear. So where do you belong? Is the bull market is more important than the bear market? And if I may ask, which one is the best?
Both are important to me.
Like I said, it all comes to opportunities, and there's always an opportunity in both of them.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 17, 2023, 06:38:42 AM
~

Phoenix Suns have signed a 1-year contract with Bol Bol.

Phoenix Suns are considering Bradley Beal as their point guard next season.

Phoenix Suns have sent Cameron Payne to the San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio Spurs: Cameron Payne, Future second-round pick and cash money.
Phoenix Suns: Future second-round pick
I wonder why the Magic traded him. I mean Bol played his best year in their team, and he got more popular because of how the fans love him.
Anyway, I just hope that the Suns will give him minutes to play, and at least showcase his talent because TBH, him and Wembanyama are kind of like the same. Same that are thin, can shoot threes, can handle the ball, a good passer as well. It's just unfortunate that the hype at that time was on Wemby well in fact, Bol Bol can also do what he can do.

With Payne out on the Suns, they wanted Beal to be their PG next season. I don't disagree with this, but I think Booker would be a better PG than him if they don't have a choice. There are some games in the playoffs where Booker made plays, and he's a good passer as well. That just shows that he can be a PG as well though not as good as CP3, but the good thing is he can pass the ball, but he can erupt, and score 30 if given the opportunity.

Overall, it looks like the Suns are going all in with their roster right now getting 4 superstars, and a talented role players. Definite a team to watch out in the West this upcoming season.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A check on your wallet on daily basis can earn you some dollar on: July 17, 2023, 06:05:56 AM
CONCLUSION
It's a good deal for one to check his/her wallet at least once in a day. This will help you to control the funds in your wallet. Old token may do good within minute, one can take such advantage to make good cash out of such forgotten token.
Well, if you know that the wallet that you own has multiple tokens or coins then I guess checking once or twice a day is a good thing.
However, if you have a wallet that you didn't use in any airdrops, or anything aside from that wallet being used as a storage for some top coins like Ethereum then why bother checking it for once or twice.

I have a wallet on Daedalus (Cardano), and Keplr (ATOM), and TBH, I only visit them once a week. Why? Because I don't expect any airdrop coins coming from them except for ATOM who gives free coins for those ATOM holders who are staking their coin. On the other hand, looking at your wallet on a daily basis might cause you to get disappointed because of the losses that you might see. You might feel disappointed in yourself because you might see your tokens on that wallet being down double digit percentages in a single day.

Overall, there's nothing wrong with checking on your wallet on a daily basis as long as you aren't affected of the potential impermanent losses that you may see. Checking it hoping that you might get some tokens that has value? Probably it's worth it if you used that wallet in joining airdrops, or different bounty campaigns here.
1045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Retiring on bitcoin on: July 16, 2023, 04:52:42 PM
How many bitcoins does a person need to retire, what is the cashout plan and why?
It depends on where you are living.

If you are living in a third world country, or a developing country, you might need a lesser amount of Bitcoin to retire. On the other hand, if you are living on a developed country like in the US where prices are much higher than that of a developing country, you might need even more Bitcoins, way more Bitcoins.

Your cost of living is also a factor. How much is your monthly expenses? Multiply it by 12, and then multiply it by 25 years. The total amount that you will get is the total amount of Bitcoin that you need (of course converted from your fiat currency to Bitcoins). Overall, I don't see myself holding that much Bitcoin when I retire. I guess at that time, I already put my money into safer type of assets like those blue chip stocks out there, and maybe some bonds.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hiya new here your thoughts on ETN please on: July 16, 2023, 03:53:34 PM
Etn is the coin from 2016 right ? If i am not mistaken it is mined by phone ( their marketing campaign ). I though this coin death already and if i am not wrong we can not put smart contract on it. So the new update is only smart contract thing ? We have many coin can do that. Polygon, avalanche and many coin to come.
Yes it's that coin. The coin who launched their ICO here, and got famous because of the way people can get that coins.

I knew it because I also tried it. I also tried to mine coins without any proper gadgets whatsoever. It's like how PI Network is today, but the token has value already at that time then slowly they came out of the limelight. Developers didn't make any developments in the project, and if they did, there aren't that much support from the community anymore. The project is still running with few updates on their social media accounts, but for me, I consider it a dead project already.

I have been following there Facebook page (etn electroneum) and deceided to get in at the price. New blockchain coming which will make it etn20 and the ability to create new tokens far cheaper than erc20...also they have the anytask platform with a big supporting team....read the social media could change the world if this thing gets out there? Worth a punt! Not saying you should as this crypto lark is extremely risky but out of everything I have looked at it serves an actual real world purpose and helping the poor is always a good thing...
You're a newbie. Follow what will I say.
If you aren't a marketer for these dead project, just invest into Bitcoin. Bitcoin, and only Bitcoin, and not some dead projects like Electroneum.

Ohhh wait I guess you're one of the marketers of them base on what you are saying to us. I guess just good luck because I think that you are doing this because it's either you are being paid by them (which is highly unlikely), or you bought many ETN tokens in the past that you are now at a loss, and trying to manipulate newbies here to buy this worthless token. Tongue You can't do that because people here are intelligent enough to know what's a good project, and what's not.
1047  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 16, 2023, 05:00:54 AM
Some few days ago, Mark Zuckerberg launched a new app called Thread. The whole netzines are wondering what his intention. Could this be an experiment. The shocking though expected of it is that a few hours after it was launched, it recorded success both in the number of users who signed up to use the app and most importantly on Meta's stock. However, looking critically at the app we can it is obvious that it is merely Instagram clone.

We already know that there is some bad blood between Meta and Twitter. Or Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Given this, I would like for us to discuss this, if Elon Musk decides to launch a clone of Twitter app, do you think it would achieve the same level of success in terms of user base and Stocks considering Elon's controversial history with Twitter?

The question is what's the main purpose of threads that Zuckerberg has been added? I'm using Meta for a very long time already, and I don't think that I will be using this threads.

I'm also thinking that this threads has been created just because of the beef between Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk. I mean it has been released while they have a beef with each other. You already said that it's just a mere clone of Instagram, so maybe this threads will just die in a year or two if most Instagram users find Instagram better than threads. If not then some might switch, make a transition from Instagram to Threads.

To answer your question, I don't know the reason why Elon will create an app same as threads? I mean Elon Musk already said that Twitter cash flow is negative due to ad revenue declines, ‘heavy debt’ base on this article: LINK. I don't see any reason as to why Elon needs to create a clone of his Twitter app. For competition purposes? It's pretty obvious that the trend of Twitter is declining, and now he will create a clone of his own app? That's nonsense if you will ask me.

When investing in something there is always risk involved. I think risk is the possibility of gaining or losing something valuable.
Your timing was perfect. You invested when Bitcoin is at it's most bottomed price which is at near $17,000.

Well, you sharing your experience will probably motivate these newbies out there to make their own decision when it comes to investing in cryptocurrency. Maybe you might motivate one or 2 users out here, make their own research, and invest into Bitcoin. I guess I would say that you did a good job investing diversifying your money.

Continue investing, continue learning, and don't stop on it. Aside from your business, investing your profit not only in cryptocurrency, but into different asset class will give you more profit in the long run. Yes there's always a risk involve like you said, but as long as you can manage the risk then it's all good.

NOTE:
(this thread I created to collect merit to rank up full members, I want to make my pizza as an avatar.
Believe me, I won't join any signature campaign on this account even doomsday!!!)
Seems like a merit-begging thread to me like what others are doing. The only difference is that, OP really stated it here which is kind of a brave act if you will ask me while others aren't directly saying it, but it's pretty obvious that it's their intention to beg merits thus, creating a thread like that.

Lenders have different criteria on how they will give out loan to different users here. They aren't just dumb users that will just give out loans to random strangers.

You want to make your pizza as an avatar? Then work hard for it, or maybe try sending your entries in this thread, or maybe try to PM The Sceptical Chymist, and maybe you're eligible to get merits from him. You won't join any signature campaign? Did you know that money can change one's mind in an instant? I don't believe what you are saying TBH, and my apologies for my statement, but that's just my opinion. Smiley Don't be mad at me.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 16, 2023, 02:27:23 AM
Dallas coming out and saying they are not planning to have JaVale McGee on their team when the season starts is a bit of a surprise as I think JaVale is a quality player that is underrated. Him being waved would likely open the door up for a return to Phoenix or Los Angeles on a minimum contract, which I think would be great for either team.
With his championship experience, he will be a good fit for any team that needs a defensive player like him. I'm just curious why they didn't resign him. Maybe it's because they want to develop their draft pick this year. Maybe another reason is that he isn't that much of a help offensively especially now that we are seeing Centers who are shooting threes as well. He isn't like that, but he's a good defender still. I wonder which team will get him. I would be happy if he will be reunited with the Warriors since they're still in need of a center that can sub out Looney.

Big contract for Jaylen Brown.

I read that Jaylen Brown could sign a maximum contract of $304 million with the Boston Celtics.
If this is true, the last year of the contract will be $ 70 million.

The word is "could" meaning is isn't guarantee that he will get that contract.
Another question is that, with how he played in their series against the Heat in Game 7, do you think that the front office will think of giving him that much of a contract knowing that he's kind of unreliable in crucial games like that. I don't think so TBH.

Well, if that happens, that would be the largest contract in NBA history, but if I'm the front office, I will not give that much money to him. Yes he had a big impact towards the Celtics' success in the past years, but that contract is just too much. Maybe if it's Tatum that will request that contract then it would be better.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitconnect : learning from the past. How is it possible to invest life savings ? on: July 15, 2023, 03:44:13 PM
~
I remember that at the time I couldn't understand how you could exchange btc for this unknown currency  (BCC). I didn't understand why people were so trustfull in staking for so long. Then I didn't understand how you could put your life's savings into a single cryptocurrency (unless it is bitcoin, that's my opinion).

And yet it's happening all over again. People don't seem to learn from the past.
I still remember this incident back in 2017. Back then, I was just a newcomer, and still learning crypto. At that time, this coin Bitconnect is starting to get hyped because of it's insane returns to it's investors. They even made a meme about Bitconnect. Overall, this was the hyped coin until the shit happened when the developers of the team just ran away, and in just a matter of hours, the price of it went down from 3 digits to 2 digits. Though it didn't stop there because there are still newbies out there who believed that something good will still happen, in the end the developers ran away, and left these investors with a shitcoin.

There are reasons why back then, people are risking even their life savings. Those juicy returns back then are just very attracting for newbies, and back then, cryptocurrency as a whole is just starting to get it's attention, so they invested into it, threw their life savings hoping that it will yield more money for them. Unfortunately, their life savings turned into a waste, and correct me, but there are also investors who committed suicide because of this scam.

Why it's still happening? There are some reasons as to why it's still happening. There are still reasons as to why there are still people who are still getting scammed after what's happening in the past.
1. There are some investors who didn't know what's scam, and what's not. There are still investors who can't distinguish which projects have the potential to scam investors, and which projects hasn't. There are some investors who don't know the red flags of a particular projects, and they're just throwing their money into that project hoping that they will get huge profits into it. Sounds stupid, but it's the reality.
2. People loves risk. I know, I know there are some who might be against it, but there are investors who still want to risk their money even though they know that the chances of it to be a scam project is really high. I just don't know why there are investors like this.

Anyway, researching is always a good thing to do before investing.
1052  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell...next bull run? on: July 15, 2023, 11:34:29 AM
~
1. What price do you think that bitcoin will hit in the next ATH.
2. When do you plan to sell and make good profit from your bitcoin portfolio,is it next bull season or the next two bull market, because bitcoin price is always tempting during the bull run. Give me your target price that you will be happy to sell off your bitcoin.
Let's discuss.
1. If you will compare the price of ATH in 2017, and the ATH in 2021, it's more than 3x the price. I know that this is just a small sample, and Bitcoin at the price of around $200,000 seems impossible, but my realistic prediction is Bitcoin's ATH will at least double it's previous ATH of $69,000, so more or less around $130,000. That's my next ATH in 2024-2025 (if the cycle continues of course).

2. I already have a strategy when it comes to selling, and I will just share it here. 20% of my total portfolio will be sold @ $70,000 then another 20% will be sold at around $85,000 and then maybe 30% will be sold at around $100,000. If it goes up even more, I will sell another 20% again, and the remaining 10% will be the ones that I will hold for the next bull run again. I really want to sell all of my Bitcoins, but I think holding some for the next bull run would be better, or if Bitcoin reaches that $130,000 price that I predicted then I might be selling the remaining 10% at that price range. Cheesy

We have different strategies when it comes to selling Bitcoin during the bull run. Some goes all in selling at a specific target, some do Dollar Cost Average in selling like what I shared. Some don't want to sell their Bitcoins because they want to hold it for a longer period of time. I guess what's important is the strategy works in your favor right. Smiley After all, we are investing to gain profit.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 15, 2023, 11:09:07 AM
An official offer from Miami for Dame has been made. Tyler Herro and a few draft picks. We’ll see what happens there. The big news of the day out of Miami though is Jimmy Butler hooking up with Shakira. I wonder how that’s going to impact his offseason training. Usually famous women don’t have a positive effect on athletes…

I saw the same news.
Miami Heat ready to give Herro + 3 first-round draft picks + 1 young player to Portland.

Shakira and Butler had dinner at a restaurant in London.

I'm seeing articles online saying that the Blazers are "unmotivated" in trading Lillard to the Heat.

It seems like the initial offer of the Heat which is Herro + 3 first round picks isn't good enough to land Lillard. Some articles also said that the Blazers wanted another first round pick, and a valuable player aside from their first trade package if they wanted Dame. I wonder who will be that "valuable player" that they wanted, and if the Heat really want to add another draft pick to the package. On the other hand, teams who are interested in Lillard before aren't interested anymore because it seems like Dame don't want to play for other teams aside from the Heat. This is a good sign for the Heat, so they just need to fulfill what the Blazers wants if they really wanted to land Dame.

Overall, I don't care about Shakira and Butler meeting, but I'm more excited about which players will the Heat, and Pat Riley give to the Blazers just to get Dame. Cheesy
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are bitcoin mixers often accused of laundering money? on: July 15, 2023, 09:50:22 AM
In your opinion, how to prevent the use of bitcoin as a means of money laundering? While we may not recommend going to KYC, it is useless and the anonymity of bitcoins will be lost.
Just like fiat currency, you can't prevent it.
Fiat currency has been used by different people in money laundering, and so is Bitcoin as well.
Quote
Re: Why are bitcoin mixers often accused of laundering money?
Because of the transaction making it anonymous? I think this is the reason why criminals often use mixers in order to spread out the money that they got. Bitcoin mixers are just a tool for both the innocent, and the criminals to be used. It's like Bitcoin being used as a way to scam people. Criminals are using these mixers for transaction. As for a way to stop this, seizing it I guess will be the solution like what they did to Chipmixer. The question is until when will the authorities will be doing it knowing that when they seize one mixer, multiple mixers arise.
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $120k next year - by Robert Kiyosaki on: July 15, 2023, 09:25:51 AM
~
What do you think of this type of predictions? Do you feel the market moving in that direction?
He is a big basher of the banks. He is for me, the biggest anti-dollar, and in his videos, he always says that the dollar already lost it's value in 1971 when Nixon ended the conversion between Gold and USD.

Nevertheless, $120,000 is a very realistic prediction knowing that the halving will happen at the same year, and during the last 4-year cycles, the price of Bitcoin always goes up significantly a few months after the halving. Seeing Bitcoin to 6-digits is the one that we didn't see yet, and many predicted that it might happen last 2021, but obviously it didn't happen. Anyway, I think that I'll just say that Bitcoin will reach 6-digits next year though I would be happy to see it reaching the price of $120,000.

Kiyosaki's prediction does have little to no effect towards the price of Bitcoin unlike Elon a few years ago, but seeing a big investor like him supporting or at least tackling Bitcoin is already a good thing. Blackrock's spot ETF will be the catalyst towards the bull run that we're waiting for.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2023, 03:00:18 AM
James Harden has stated again that he wants to be traded to the Sixers management.
Harden wants to leave the team, Los Angeles Clippers are being considered for a trade, but there is no progress at the moment.
Harden is not a special player anymore. He is more a liability IMO as anyone who takes him has to worry that they will be the 4th team he wants traded from. He's not worth the risk or the money.
TBH, I'm 50/50 at what you said.

Yes he isn't the prime Harden anymore like what he is in Houston where he averages 25-30 PPG, but on the other hand, he leads all the shooting guards in terms of assists with 8.2, and his playmaking abilities helped getting Embiid his first MVP title. Well, I agree that he isn't special, and his value is not worth it anymore, but I guess he can still be a big help with the team... a team with 2 all-star players maybe like when he's on Brooklyn.

Now with regards to Harden wanted to get traded, I don't know which teams are interested with him TBH, but I saw in the internet that the Clippers wanted him, but the question is who will be trading just to get him, and is it worth it? I'm not hearing other teams interested on him anymore as of now, and even the Rockets who are continuously saying a few months ago that they wanted him now is silent when it comes to him, so they aren't interested on him as well.

and he admitted his mistake at that time, but that was also my motivation and I had to prove it and he also felt sorry, because he was not involved with bitcoin at that time and instead mocked him.

Do you have the same story, I mean a close person, relative or friend who used to dislike bitcoin, and they became regretful after seeing a significant change after meeting again.
None. I don't have anybody that's my relative who used to dislike Bitcoin. Those who already known cryptocurrencies actually liked it even though they lost money into it already.

I don't have a similar story like what you have OP, but I'm ready to show it to other people the results of me investing into cryptocurrency. I mean I might not have as much as what you have OP, but I think I can say that I have enough to share it to others once they will boast me, and will spew bad things about Bitcoin for some reasons.

TBH, I would like to involve my relatives, and share what is cryptocurrency for them, but the problem is not a single one of them aren't involved into investing, or not a single one of them ever think of investing into different assets. What's worse is that there are some who doesn't have any savings account still for their emergency funds that's why I'm not sharing any information with regards to cryptocurrency to them because I find them not interested on it because of their background.

Nevertheless, guide your friend now that he saw the results that you got investing into crypto, and as for me, I would still be happy to share my knowledge if there will be anybody here in our place who will be interested in learning crypto.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32nd Binance Launchpad Project Arkham on: July 13, 2023, 01:24:25 AM
I'm not usually investing into a new project especially when it comes to Binance, but TBH, I think I'll do some research now, and make a goal of investing a portion of my money into a new project.

As for this project, I'll do a bit of a research into it, and if I find it beneficial for me, or it has a use case that would help us investors, I'll try to allocate my money, and invest into it. On the flip side, I will not buy their token during their sale, pre-sale, or whatever they want to call it, but I will invest after the listing. Why? It has been launched on Binance meaning after the sale, it will be listed on Binance, so there's an assurance that the token will be listed on an exchange.

From what I observe over new projects during the last 5 years that I'm involved with cryptocurrency, I always see newly listed projects' price going down a few hours after it has been listed, and it's because those investors want to take profit as early as possible. For me, it would be better if you will invest a few hours after it has listed on the exchange because it's price at that time goes down already. Of course just invest if you only did your research. Well, that's my strategy, and will make some research regarding this project as well. Smiley

Dwight Howard really wants to be back in the league next year. I’m honestly a bit shocked he wasn’t in the league last year. I still think he’s a top 10 center in the league. Same with DeMarcus Cousins. I hope they both, along with Isaiah Thomas (who has been working out for teams this offseason) get a chance to show they aren’t done yet.
What is one thing that Howard, and Cousins are similar with? They have a not-so-good attitude in the locker room especially Boogie. We can't see Howard complaining that much in the game, but I believe there's a reason behind why the Lakers didn't resign him even though they won the title. Maybe it's something that we can't even see.

As for Isaiah Thomas, there are 2 problems with him as to why no teams are getting him anymore. Him being injury-prone, and his height. Nowadays, we've seen taller Point Guards already like LaMelo. Some are shorter than him, but Thomas is way shorter that he will be having a hard time if defended. Well, if any of these 3 come back in the NBA then I'll be happy to see them play again in the biggest basketball stage.

Ja Morant's best friend Davonte Pack has been arrested.

There has been no charge yet against Ja Morant.
Things haven't been going well for Ja Morant lately.

An arrest warrant has been issued in Shelby County, Tennessee for Davonte Pack, a close friend of Ja Morant, over a fight involving a teenager at the Memphis Grizzlies star's home in 2022. Joshua Holloway, now 18, accused Pack and Morant of beating him up during a pick-up basketball game.
The victim is actually accusing both of them and I don't know why Ja Morant is excluded from the arrest warrant. Power? Position?
Whatever Ja Morant is going thru, it's not good anymore. He should think about what he is doing and I think it will badly affect his career one more time. Worst case scenario would be him being kicked out of NBA. Well, there's still CBA for him if he likes.
What a waste of young talented player. All the money and fame that he received obviously went to his head like he is invincible. Sadly, he is not.
Let's see what Commissioner Adam Silver will say about this.
Ohhhhh not again. :X

What's happening with him might affect the whole reputation of the NBA to be honest. Well, since it happened in Morant's house, there's a chance that he might get arrested as well since he's involved with the crime. Nevertheless, I'd like to see Commissioner Silver's response to this one... or will he respond? Him being kicked out in the NBA? The last one who got kicked out (unofficially) in the NBA was O.J Mayo back in 2016 I guess because of drug issues. I don't think that he will get kicked, and I don't also think that the NBA will respond to this one unless it becomes huge enough to get the attention of the authorities.

As newbies when investing in crypto don't be satisfied with your leading knowledge attainment about crypto, endeavor to continually do research on the crypto asset's you have invested on as it would aide you on a trajectory course  about your investment's. By so doing you're not easily taking by surprise on any misgiving that may arise about a portfolio you have investment with.

Another gateway to keep abreast is to get connected as a member of an active crypto community or platform. Having membership of different communities is an added advantage but make sure  they are a genuine platform with a good history just like bitcointalk.

As a matter of fact, it's very unsafe to depend on a single coin. In otherwords, invest into more than one token by spreading your investment into potential coins but be careful not to invest into pump and dump coins. Above all, make sure to maintain risk management in which ever crypto asset you are investing in.
I'm not considering myself a newbie anymore, but I'm always not satisfied with the knowledge I have with regards to crypto. As a newbie, be always hungry for knowledge like those successful businessmen right now. They're always reading books that will give them information into something that they're excelling with.

Connect as a member of an active crypto community. We have already this forum as a platform already where people can just connect to each other, learn with each other, and possibly earn with each other. I don't use Reddit TBH, but I guess there is also a huge crypto community out there who are sharing information. Twitter? Just avoid that one IMO.

I know that diversifying your money is always a good idea, but instead of just investing into cryptocurrency, it would be better if you will diversify it into different asset classes. I mean invest into cryptocurrency, but at the same time, invest into stock market, bond market, precious metals etc. I don't recommend investing "ONLY" in cryptocurrency if you're a newbie. Yes the reward is high, but the risk is also high as well. Spread your investment, but not spread on different crypto coins because it will just have the same risk. If you invest in different asset class, the risk would be lower as some are less volatile than crypto.
