You're telling me you can't Google "syrian human rights under bashar assad" and get reasonable results from reputable sources? Seeing some pictures of smiling children is still a micro response to a macro problem. Yeah I'm not saying people are/were running the streets like barbarian animals. I'm talking about issues such as freedom of speech and how critics of the government are treated. Or LGBT rights. Or the rights of women. Or true freedom of religion.

I'm assuming you're going to draw parallels to the US in my examples. As an American I'm not at all satisfied with the state of this country. Though if you're going to compare the level of human rights in Syria to that of the US, you're going to need to put your tin foil hat on first.

It seems to me that you may just have a hatred for Americans and the "image" of the US. I'm not concerned about Russia, or any country for that matter. I'm concerned about the crazy fucks running the show in most of them. Part of the problem in the United States is that the current culture, especially my generation has 0 fucks to give about the state of the world. They're more interested in trash mass produced music and buying stylish clothing than actually getting an education and being informed about the state of this planet. I would bet 9 out of 10 people I would stop in the street couldn't even point out Syria on a map.

Well, actually I think that what you believe are "reputable sources" is the same garbage that has been selling  one war scam after the other. Nutcases got rid of Saddam Hussein. Take a look at the results. Nutcases got rid of Ghadafi. Yep, the same familiar pattern, terrorists thrive in the ruins like in Iraq. Nutcases have been trying to get rid of Assad. Strike three.

I'm the opposite of that. I don't want the war machine to keep rolling. I wish my country would not play world police. It's simply not our battle to fight. That doesn't mean I want to watch a foreign country rot from the inside and have their citizens killed like animals. The government here just likes to use the bleeding hearts of our population as a means to fulfill their own greedy controlling ends. It's up to the people of the nation in conflict to change the state of affairs. That doesn't imply it's fair for the people suffering in conflict filled nations to have to fight against their own governments, it's just a fact of life.

Some of the sources I'm referencing are such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International. If someone refuses to believe information from any source, regardles or credibility, then where might I ask are they getting their information from?

I will not argue against the propaganda machine being strong here in the US. That's not the root of the problem with America though. The problem as stated before is the lack of desire for the average American to actually learn. We've become an incredibly distracted society.

Well, it´s extremely difficult to top meaningful input like He's just another greedy, crummy, dictatorial fucker but at least I tried.

Really? I thought it was pretty accurate stuff. Descriptive enough. Not much there to prove the statement otherwise.

Actually, it is stupidity like the above that causes more death than ever.

Probably there is some slight place for vaccination. But it isn't the norm. Otherwise God would have built it into nature.

Rather, it is vaccination that helps to cause a ruined immune system in a person, so that his body has to be strengthened to fight off diseases it once could easily.

If doctors had even some kind of hint about what they were doing, there wouldn't be any hospitals. Everyone would be well. In addition, people would live for hundreds of years instead of less that a hundred, usually.

Wanna die young? Trust the doctors and the medical, the self proclaimed supermen who are draining the health and wealth out of the world by their snake oil vaccines.

Smiley

Vaccines do not weaken your immune system. Essentially the entire purpose is to create a crippled strain of a virus, so your body can defeat it, learn the "signature" of the disease, and know how to combat it if you ever come across it again in your life. Is that simple enough for you to understand?

I know it's only anecdotal, but here's one basic example. I received the chicken pox vaccine as a child. Afterwards my mom sent me down the street to play with my twin friends who were both sick with the chickenpox virus. I spent plenty of time there that day and the next. Still have never contracted the virus or shown any symptoms. Statistics and science say I probably never will during my lifetime.

If you believe this is all hocus pocus, magic, and propaganda, then there is something fundamentally wrong with your brain and your understanding of human knowledge regarding staying the hell alive. That is essentially the basis of all our primitive instincts you know, to not let shit kill us.

Also, old Assad doesn't have the arsenal to create the necessary disaster. He's just another greedy, crummy, dictatorial fucker
Good old soviet propaganda from Washington Obkom. Cheesy Yeah, and that "dictatorial fucker" is supported by the most of population, more than 80% of people have migrated to the government-controlled areas.

By the way, speaking about support and legitimacy... If you don't remember, sunni and alawites are mutually hostille, they've spent centuries while killing each other. And, what a surprise, Assad is alawite... While half of his government and 3/4 of his military are sunni muslims. This says a lot, don't you think so? Maybe it's time to turn your TV off and begin to analyze the facts? Grin

who is trying to satiate himself any way he can until he dies of natural causes or someone plugs him in the head.
I guess this wasn't reported in the western media, but his main goal is to expel the invaders, restore a sovereignty and then perform a referendum on new constitution, since it's impossible to do this during a war time. After that he's ready to leave his position.

Nice try Balthazar but the people you´re trying to educate depend on experts with 30-second analysis of very complex issues. Between commercials. They probably think that analysis is just another medication that they stick up their butts.

They're flocking to the government controlled territory or out of the country entirely so they don't get raped and murdered in their own homes.. Not because it was a land of sunshine and rainbows before this war started. Why would it be any better afterwards? I wouldn't say its out of actual support for Assad. Syria isn't the absolute worst, but it's pretty damn far from being the best country in terms of human rights advancement and standard of living. Would you want to live there under the current government even in a time of peace?

Thanks for the valuable input galdur. charming stuff.

anti-vaccination bullshit just needs to die. I don't care what statistic you pull from the internet, legitimate or not, about how vaccines have killed x amount of people or injured them. Or that they cause autism... how many times does this need to be disproved?? And if your sources are holistic-pussy-natural-living-blog.net or some other nonsense don't even bother citing them.

If you want to bring back deadly diseases that science has all but eradicated, diseases that have provably killed MILLIONS of people, keep doing what you're doing, you dumb fucks.
I would prefer to let these Darwin prize winners to die from diphtheria or plague... Unfortunately, there are some people who have no choice due to medical contraindications. Normally, these people have no alternative to protection through the collective immunity.

Anti-vaccination faggots are destroyng the collective immunity, putting these people under danger. It's just another form of genocide, BADecker and other antivaccination bullshitters are no better than uncle Adolf. They sow the seeds of death here... And every dead child, who wasn't vaccinated due to medical contraindications, is on their conscience.

I'm afraid they might be too ignorant to have the weight on their conscience. They believe the people who are supporting the science of vaccination should have the weight of all people with autism on their conscience.

Pertussis, Tetanus, Rotavirus, Diptheria? No problem. Your child's natural immunity will fight it. Hand that little bastard an apple juice, pat them on the back, and send them to school. How ridiculous is that?

I think 99% of anti vaxxers don't even understand the science behind vaccination in the least bit.

I'm not saying I want a global tragedy to happen, I'd prefer to live my life in peace mining BTC  Smiley

I'm suggesting the only thing that is going to knock the shit train off course would be a disaster of that magnitude. Mankind needs a good ol' humbling. Too much greed/control/hatred/*religious extremism* is afoot. We need to step back and realize how convoluted the systems that control the day-to-day world are. In addition, we need to slow down on the baby making as a species.

Also, old Assad doesn't have the arsenal to create the necessary disaster. He's just another greedy, crummy, dictatorial fucker who is trying to satiate himself any way he can until he dies of natural causes or someone plugs him in the head.

Hillary Clinton is a waste of human life, as is Obama, and pretty much any other politician you can think of. I'm personally a fan of Ron and Rand Paul, and a few other smaller names. Of course we will always find some facet of their policies/beliefs that we will not agree with. Go ahead and criticize if you feel the need  Tongue

It does unfortunately come down to choosing the least evil candidate you can find. However I believe the problem is that nothing is going to change the "machine" until a global tragedy occurs. I'm not talking a war with a few thousand dead, or people being shot up in the streets by terrorists. I mean 100+ million, or 1 billion dead. A total reshuffling of the modern world.

Any timeline for "soon"?

Soon  (the word has lost meaning)

I agree, even if someone is interested in poking at random alts popping up, they probably can't have their eyes glued to this thread 24/7 waiting for information...

Timelines and meeting the expectations of those timelines are a good start.
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: December 03, 2015, 11:09:46 PM
The next update will enable the global registrar and a few more smart contracts. Smiley

Is the GUI wallet for Windows fully functional at this point? Also, may want to remove coinotron from the thread as a listed pool.

is expanse dead? coinotron closed the pool.

Wallet was having trouble finding nodes + hash rate wasn't high enough. Most mining looks to be happening on suprnova right now.
1199  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Contemplating buying some mining equipment. But can I make any ROI really? on: November 28, 2015, 06:46:51 PM
If you really love bitcoin and want to go for the long haul, I'd say buy it. I'd have a hard time personally wiping out my bitcoin stash for an s7. If you can buy with fiat that's even better. You could even take the ultimate gamble with it and point at ck's solo pool, as long as you can handle that electric bill each month. Looks like you'll be paying around $120 a month in electricity, but if you actually find a block it's nearly $9,000 of bitcoin Wink
1200  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Help !! a bitcoin newbie :p on: November 28, 2015, 09:29:08 AM
I doubt difficulty will be going down any time soon. Power efficiency of equipment is key at this point. That's why the s7 is great at nearly 5TH/s for only 1200 watts of power
