can anyone help me and tell me why this is so low please ?
"blocks" : 3244,
    "currentblocksize" : 1000,
    "currentblocktx" : 0,
    "errors" : "",
    "generate" : true,
    "genproclimit" : -1,
    "primespersec" : 1,
    "pooledtx" : 0,
    "testnet" : false

use setgenerate true 2

or 4 for 4 cores.. use the number of physical cores you have.. without the "-"
do i need to do this i have 32 cores but my pps is 1 something is not right

WAIT a minute, let me guess, four 8 core opterons?

I seem to be over 1000pps pretty consistently after some optimization. Smiley

That's amazing! Much more than 20% xD

I'll pay you 2BTC right now for a linux binary if you'd like. Smiley Or source code, that's cool too.

Booo this should be shared with everyone!

150 LTC escrow looks good enough for a BTC4 loan to me.
I'll pass on the BTC6, though.

Good luck!

Ok, thanks anyway!

Trying to sell two old 6870s to help get the BTC I need, but nobody is biting  Roll Eyes

Let me know when you're ready to escrow your LTC and I'll send you an address.

Sounds good to me, you are the escrow option. Still need someone to loan me 6btc for 3 months though  Tongue

How long till blocks mature?

Approx 2 days
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Your XPM (PrimeCoin) - For LTC on: July 08, 2013, 08:54:45 PM
Actually if blocks are on target it will take 2 days to mature
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Your XPM (PrimeCoin) - For LTC on: July 08, 2013, 08:47:44 PM
How many XPM will there be?

~50.000 mined already ATM.
So there isn't a limit?

Not that i know of but rewards drops as diff increases to keep it level
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Your XPM (PrimeCoin) - For LTC on: July 08, 2013, 08:46:59 PM
Hmmm this is the first I've heard of this coin and now I am intrigued...

So this is entirely CPU based mining?

Yep for now. All built in wallet solo mining. All pool and miner software will need to be rewritten for it.

Interesting... my mining rig CPUs aren't doing anything right now anyways, so I guess I will get this set up soon.

I'd advise doing it fast to get what you can. The difficulty is on a constant uptrend so far. Setup is very easy too just download the wallet and enter setgenerate true (core amount) in the console and you're off to the races

How long until Blocks mature?

3000 something blocks, so about 3 days
1311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Your XPM (PrimeCoin) - For LTC on: July 08, 2013, 08:29:52 PM
Seems there is a ton of luck involved. Either there are close to 1000 people mining this already or somebody has some serious power pointed at it. Blocks are exceeding target time

Decided I'm still in, looking for 6btc
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 08, 2013, 06:53:37 PM
yay! After 24 hours of mining, i manage to get 10 blocks worth 200XPM and 4 orphans.

What cpus are you mining with?
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 08, 2013, 05:00:25 PM
Effectively it's impossible to pump and dump XPM.

Cheesy

I agree. I always wanted to see a CPU-only (no GPU mining ever) coin..
I was hoping for YAC to be CPU-only, but then GPU miners started popping and Sad

You are very naif to think GPU miners for XPM are not already in use.

@ SunnyKing

You should have know that many won't get any coins but dozens will get all of them. You should have know pool for XPM would be ideal solution,
to insure better spread of generated coins. You should have know announcing new altcoin the way you did it is just bad deal. You are on this board
for years now but it seems you have learnt very little. Or it is just like with PPCoin, where dozens including you were ready to instamine it, and got
millions of coins in just few days after the launch?

It seems you are still after original get-rich-quick schemes. Genius, but still scammer.

Millions? Take a look at the total supply mined thus far

I have 48 cores in one machine mining but 0 primespersec after 20 mins. My other machines are all working fine
Each thread gets it's own sieve, you're probably running into cache issues.

Then I have no clue what to try next lol, maybe less cores

Eh not helping either

Is there a built in core limit for a single miner in the code?
1320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 08, 2013, 04:48:59 AM
Sunny, theoretically, won't the primes get bigger as we find more of them, so that it's impossible to maintain a uniform time in between blocks?  So that in fact, if the network hash rate remains constant over some period of time, difficulty will adjust lower?

Difficulty is measured by chain length, not by prime sizes. Block spacing is maintained via continuous difficulty adjustment.

Sunny, I keep observing periods where the block spacing is ~30seconds instead of ~60seconds, yet the difficulty isn't increasing by a corresponding factor.

Example period where block spacing is ~30seconds:
Code:
block 665 creation time = July 8, 2013, 04:11:39 difficulty = 7.03636408
block 675 creation time = July 8, 2013, 04:17:56 difficulty = 7.03710973

It has been a long time since blocks were spaced according to your specification so it would appear the variable difficulty should be set higher.

I noticed it's going pretty quickly as well. Maybe some big power starting to jump on.
