21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making it in Crypto World. on: October 05, 2018, 01:45:28 AM
it depends on what are planning to do in crypto, if you want to trade or join bounties, you just have to read a lot from different threads here in this forum, you have to understand the rules and restrictions in a specific project. learn different terminogies, i think there are threads that tackles stuff that you needed. and also you must have capital that you are willing to risk if you want to invest them in echanges. goodluck
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to HODL only 1 cryptocurrency for 10 years how should you choose? on: October 05, 2018, 01:30:27 AM
definitely, i will choose bitcoin, as far as history is concern, bitcoin being the pioneer has proven its stability compared to any crypto, and i think most of the crypto are based on bitcoin price, bitcoin owns the biggest chunk in the crypto market. second is eth, for the last 2 years, eth has come along side bitcoin. and has a promising future full of potential.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: The basis of being a poor- how little or how big? on: October 04, 2018, 09:03:48 AM
There's mental poverty and ecomonical poverty.
Mental poverty comes from a person who has no aspirations in life, a person who isn't useful for his community or himself, someone who life to make everyones life miserable as his, and those people aren't necessarily poor in their finances.
And ecomonical poverty when people don't produce the minimun amount of money needed to have a confortable life, like a nice place to sleep or warm water.

well said, for one to be called poor is the inability to sustain his needs, may it be for himself of for his entire family, the inability to have a job that suits his uneducated status, sadly, one cannot find a job that can sustain his needs if he is a non degree holder or has no educational attainment, the country that does not cater this kind of problem can truly produce a poor society.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Apart from trading where else to use crypto? on: October 04, 2018, 08:53:39 AM
More than 90% of ICOs (still a wide margin) lack pure utility aside from trading values. Among freelancers, people may trade one crypto for another, but in a brick and mortar business scenario, crypto has little to no impact. For example if I walk into a store I could get the credit card and a few other payment options. Still, with the over abundance of crypto technologies and their native tokens, only a handful of stores have barcodes for bitcoin and a few other payment coin types.

I think we need more radical real world businesses tokenizing their products and using this 'tokenization' as a means to garner support for mainstream crypto adoption. Like rewarding people loyalties for using their products.

Does anyone else here share the same concerns, or do you know a coin that is owned by real businesses for such purposes?

i think that is mainly the reason why companies are introducing their own ICO, they wanted to create crypto-based payment while accumulating value on the crypto market, that could be an investment at the same time, but because tokens are not yet stable as bitcoin, they cannot push through with their agendas, though some establishments are accepting bitcoin, they are forced to trade their tokens for bitcoin, as long as the companies that are eyeing on this potentiality of crypto, they will not stop to create their own tokens.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between the developed countries and developing countires on: October 04, 2018, 08:44:24 AM
we can consider a nation that is well developed by looking at its employment rate and how they are open for foreign country that has an investment in their country, if a country is not open or globally incompetent, there is no way we can consider them as a developed country, we can also look at the inflation rate and the status of their stock market. developing country perse are the one that has the potential to grow and has potential for accommodating foreign investors.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: Offline stores that accept payments using bitcoins on: October 04, 2018, 08:37:27 AM
Are there any of you who have offline business but accept payment using bitcoin?

i dont get it, offline businesses that accept bitcoin? bitcoin is online-based, you can transfer bitcoin thru online, how can they accept it, anyways. if ever there are physical stores that accept bitcoin as payment, and i am sure there are lots of them to this day, they accept bitcoin as payment thru interne, no one can accept bitcoin as payment if they are offline.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Evolution of Money on: October 04, 2018, 07:06:23 AM
it was taught in schools, from rocks and shiny metals from livestocks to rootcrops are once used to purchase goods and now comes the new digital money that can be used online, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, actually they are just one of the innovated form or medium of buying stuffs, money has evolved and deemed precious in any form, anything with value can be considered as money, investment and valuable possession, what's unique about crypto, is the range of its value and price that is dependent on the demand.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: China moves further towards cashless society on: October 04, 2018, 06:47:46 AM
if china is really pushing its way to accommodate cashless purchases, i think they are setting a new pace there, i think if they will continue to practice this, they are more likely going in for a cashless society, even the customer is at an old age, they never considered it and insisted the use of cashless payment, i hope this will furthermore pushed, and more and more country will follow until the use of fiat will be diminished.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if bitcoin price falls below the cost of mining it? on: October 04, 2018, 06:32:43 AM
i see it otherwise, this past 2 years, mining has greatly affected the market price, some big holders are into mining, they see it more effective way to gain bitcoin, which resulted in abundance supplies on the market making the price drop. if the price of bitcoin falls, and the cost of mining it is high, i think the trend on the dip will continue until there is too much supplies on the market, which is not good, more supplies means low price.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin really stabilize any country's economy level? on: October 04, 2018, 05:54:46 AM
as of the moment, it cannot, i mean, with all the crisis globally, and that bitcoin is not yet widely accepted across the world, it can diminish though like what you have said, but totally not gonna end poverty and solve the current crisis, there are so many factors that affect world economy but sadly, cryptocurrency cannot solve it, at least today, even cryptocurrencies are not yet stable to rely on.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: Sick and tired of the cryptocurrency bullshit!!! on: October 04, 2018, 05:41:09 AM
wow, op has a big issue here, fit to a newbie, anyways, these ups and downs in the bitcoin prices are common and also a result of bitcoin being volatile, too bad that as of present, the price is not that high compared last year because of some major factors that affects the price like positive news, increase in users and dollar price in the market, but as they say, investing in bitcoin is risky, if you dont understand the risk, this will result in ranting like this. i have read a comment here that as of the moment, the best or acceptable thing to do is sell at at least 1% spike, slowly but surely, i think that is what most users  do, they hold when there is a dip then sell once the price spike even a bit, not healthy by the way, for the market. just be patient.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Worth To Be Currency? on: October 03, 2018, 03:00:42 AM
Due to the volatility of bitcoin's value as of now it will never be worthy to be a currency. For me personally I find bitcoin more as a store of value rather than use it as a currency for the fees are so high and sometimes slow transactions speed. Maybe few years from now when its value will be more stable then we could say that bitcoin is really worthy to be come a currency and use it in our everyday transactions.

that is why bitcoin became more like an investment rather than just a currency, with the conversion of bitcoin to fiats has high fees and now it does became a great medium for investment like forex, as volatility is high, bitcoin being a currency to be used like fiats seem have a gray area, meaning as we speak, it will definitely not gonna replace fiats nor co exist on an equal value as dollars or local currencies.
33  Economy / Economics / Re: Five reasons 2018 could be the best year yet for cryptocurrencies. on: October 03, 2018, 02:53:37 AM
Hosp has explained before why a potential cryptocurrency bubble could burst in 2018, but there are several factors that make him see upside potential in the space.

For bitcoin, the most important cryptocurrency by his estimation, he sees a 150 percent potential upside for 2018.

Taking into account several factors, the cryptocurrency market's upside potential could rise to up to seven or eight times present levels, he says.

1. The work on scaling issues
2. Large scale and more legitimate ICOs
3. Regulation
4. A lot of execution and usability
5. Institutional investors

I think this is reasonable.

this is a great forecast, if this will come to a reality in the coming last quarter of this year, as history repeats itself, and based on the data of the market price, it is during this season that bitcoin will have a tremendous spike ahead, backing up by this acceptable speculations, we will definitely see a pump this season.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: October 03, 2018, 02:46:46 AM
Most probably in this section are users that are interested mostly in Economics, so I want to know why Economics attracts you?

why economics attracts people? mainly it is because of economics, if it will be used for our own advantage, it can be profitable if we harness or understands the economic status of a market in regards to the product we are eyeing to, it economics that brought us financial gains the uplift our financial capabilities. understanding the economy of studying it brings money to those who can anticipate the market. knowing their needs and wants, generally, there are so much opportunities if we can harness the ups and downs of market demands.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: Whether Getting Married At a Young Age Can Lead To Poverty And Make Poor Economy on: October 03, 2018, 02:37:47 AM
i think the problem here is not the age when you get married, or the ideal age of a person to get married, the problem is, getting married with no savings or plans financially, many young couple ended up successful because they are either belongs to a rich family or they are hard worker and they are skilled , but many are poor and has no dreams of becoming an entrepreneur someday. anyone can get married if they have a stable job or living above standard costs.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What attracts you to a good crypto exchange? on: September 28, 2018, 03:04:22 AM
Although there are obvious benefits to using certain crypto exchanges over others such as high liquidity and the ability to use your fiat currency (not so difficult for those USD holders), but what other factors attract you to a crypto exchange?

i think what makes a good exchange is the ability to transact fast and efficient, no fake data and less fee i guess, that is the problem now, many exchanges are doing fake data just to get high trading volumes, and of course, secured the anonymity of the users. they follow KYC but value their costumer's identifications. they must be accomodating various alt too. as they say,  a one stop shop like 7-11.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Or Trading? on: September 28, 2018, 02:57:12 AM
I will ask you which one is the most beneficial of these two things? what will you choose? and explain why you chose it. who knows it will give input to everyone who reads. if I myself might be a bounty can be profitable and maybe the results of the bounty will lead to trading. What is your opinion? share your experience here

of course trading, if you have a sufficient capital, better go into trading, because that is the way how a user can accumulate more income and achieve your plans to be financially stable, you can do bounty but the income is not that efficient than doing trading, you can earn in a matter of minutes rather doing bounty that commonly has a weekly payment if that bounty is successful,  if not, getting paid or not being scammed is a bonus.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dominance of BTC on: September 28, 2018, 02:48:08 AM
first of all there is absolutely no consequence for bitcoin or others if bitcoin's dominance (the real dominance or the fake dominance that newbies use) grows or shrinks. if a project is good, it is good. people who are adopting bitcoin (for example a merchant in Japan that started accepting BTC for the goods he sells) is not choosing bitcoin because of some arbitrary number that you call dominance. they choose bitcoin because of a thousand and one reasons including decentralization, security, immutability, no taxes,...

secondly what newbies call dominance is just a fake number produced by market capitalization which is fake itself since it is multiplication of supply and price where supply of 90% of the market is fake.

nice, so the fake data on market price is true, there are rumors that fake data are swarming the market because ICOs do so, this must be stop, i hope some one or the system will solve this issue, awareness i think is one of the key, never rely on too good to be true publicity to influence the users or the market itself.
