61  Economy / Economics / Re: Technology improves we work more. on: September 27, 2018, 02:58:17 AM
The goal of technology was for everyone to have easier lives and work less. Well todays generations have it much tougher.  They are working for much lower wages and longer hours.  Its next to impossible for millenials to purchase a house on their own.  Something here itsn't right, Capitalism?

yeah, i think it is capitalism, those people who are rich uses their money to take advantage on poor people, forcing them to be underrated and underpaid, just to make ends meet, not minding they are not well compensated for their hardwork, but millennial people can do something about it, thanks to the technologies that are helping us to have an extra income like bitcoin. just be a goal-oriented person and anyone can reach their dreams of financial freedom.
62  Economy / Economics / Re: Even your fiat is not totally secure! on: September 27, 2018, 02:49:58 AM
seriously? of course fiat is not secure also as crypto and other things with value and uses, all things with value looses its market value like porperty, cars, precious stones and jewelries, depending on the uses and trend on the market, fiat is not exempted in depreciation, this is obviously and literally been experiencing by fiats and everybody knows that.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have to make big investment before you can make profit in crypto? on: September 26, 2018, 04:44:23 AM
not really, it depends on how or what return of investment you are eyeing, if you want to earn big, you really need a big capital, invest more to gain more, though some instances, an investors put a little amount that remarkably earn a higher yeilds. but in case of bitcoin, you really need to invest more because of the risk on volatility of the price, you need spare money that will be covering unavoidable losses because of the volatility.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: PNB looks into use of bitcoin! on: September 26, 2018, 04:38:23 AM
just another news worth applauding, but i hope it will not end on just studying bitcoin but actually deal with bitcoin transaction for real, there are numerous entity that vows to study the system of bitcoin and the nature of blockchain but as of today, none of them even push through. once they have understand the volatility of bitcoin, most of them backed out in pursuing. i hope many company will follow them.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: Google is ending its sweeping ban on cryptocurrency-related advertising. on: September 26, 2018, 12:54:32 AM
Google is ending its sweeping ban on cryptocurrency-related advertising and plans to allow regulated crypto exchanges to buy ads in the United States and Japan. The new policy starts in October.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/25/google-reverses-ban-on-cryptocurrency-exchange-advertising-in-us-japan.html

I think that this is a preparation for the reversal of the bitcoin price.

What do you think about it? What are the consequences of these changes?

if this is true, it will be beneficial to the crypto market and the users too, it only means that the use of crypto is eventually being adapted by more and more people in the world, it will boost the trust factor to attract more and more investors who are not yet into cryptos, google has innovated and part of that innovation is the realization of the worth of crypto trading and promoting crypto will attract more advertising firms.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: What's Crypto innovation for you? on: September 26, 2018, 12:37:51 AM
since the time i have come to know about bitcoin, it really have changed my financial status, from being a part time job, it has evolved as my primary source of income, it really helps many people who wanted to have a little earnings from being a part time income source, it has opened so many opportunities, jobs, services and ideas for decentralization, it opened doors for global ecommerce. blockchain technology has unlimited innovations, from p2p, ecommerce and internet-based services. i hope many people will take advantage of this innovative invention.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto solve socioeconomic problems? on: September 25, 2018, 02:57:45 AM
If everyone around the world gets into cryptocurrency, do you think it will even help in solving or lessen socioeconomic problems? Can it be used to buy goods from other countries? It is fair to say that crypto will help a lot of people but what will it do to one's country? Will it help improve a country's economy?

of course, if ever that happens, it will certainly help solve an individual's financial and socioeconomic problems, just take a look at an individual that do crypto trading, there are losses and gains, but somehow really help a person to earn, imagine all people will do crypto, there will be less people who are poor and no source of income, the question is, when will all have the access on the internet, as long as internet are limited to people who can afford to have an internet access, then that will answer you question.
68  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money on a long-term period on: September 25, 2018, 02:47:19 AM
so you are saying that invest in black metal because it doesn't depreciates, can be used or can be stocked and the value stays, therefore investing in an asset that does not depreciates nor perish, or does not appraise its price even for a long period of storage, well, that is good, but isn't it better if your investments has a higher yield? i guess it all depends on each person, depending on how and where he invests, on what is best or suits your lifestyle, this topic has a deeper meaning though that investments have a variety that suits to every investors.
69  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you think the market is down right now? on: September 25, 2018, 02:30:33 AM
is it all that is going on with regulations?

Big whales just waiting?

People do not believe in crypto anymore?

is it trouble in some countries in ASIA with laws and regulations?

i do not agree, crypto are soaring and spreading rapidly across the globe, its true there are some asian country that still trying to regulate crypto trading, if we are to look at the market data today, a couple of days ago, the price went up and then plunges today, those volatility indicates that the system is healthy and still working, regulations are just a bonus, it does not affect the price, what affects the price is the rapid buying and selling of crypto in the market, maybe there are whales that somehow affects the movement but it is how it works in crypto, anticipate that move and you can earn exponentially.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: When the government forbids cryptocurrency on: September 25, 2018, 02:23:41 AM
When the government forbids cryptocurrency

In my country, the government is gradually apply internet and cryptocurrency control decrees. Previously, they banned direct Bitcoin transactions. Currently, they are banning crypto-related bank transfers. And of course, ICOS is also gradually banned .
Initially, they said they would not ban crypto and bitcoin. But now their actions show that they do not want crypto to exist.
Is their purpose not to secure crypto investors? They are trying to make it their own
They see huge profits being lost for themselves
And when the internet management program took place in my country, maybe I could not come up here to share my views like this. So sad

it depends on what country you belong, obviously, not all or not that many, share the same actions in banning crypto, and seeing that all countries will do the same thing is impossible, there are those rich and innovative country that fully embraced the many opportunities that bitcoin has to offer and yet to offer, sad to hear that your country sees is otherwise, let us wait for a couple of year or 5 year period, when bitcoin has spread in almost all part of the globe, maybe your country or government will have a change of mind.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: Upcoming economic crisis - crypto safe haven like gold or not? on: September 25, 2018, 02:16:38 AM

There are enough signs that an economic crisis is going to happen soon in the next 3 - 5 years.

Whether China's bubble will burst or the dollar will implode.
Do you guys think crypto will be as good an investment as gold in time of crisis?

since crypto is digital, i think it is the most practical investment if a crisis occur that, if the effect of that crisis is global, crypto will be considered as a good way to invest, depending on what crisis we are talking about, financial crisis is eminent if we are to look into out present data, inflation rates are almost everywhere in the world's economy, even gold seems not practical to invest with.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: A few suggestions for profit on the crypto market.. on: September 25, 2018, 02:05:36 AM
honestly i dont really rely on by the book strategy, in crypto, there are no guarantees using by the books strategies, because of the high volatility of its market price, but this thread is remarkably informative and i must say, this will help the first timer in trading, such topics is worth reading, there is no harm in following this steps, will serve as a positive guide in trading world for newbies in trading, good job.

75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Capitalism worship in this forum. on: September 20, 2018, 12:56:49 AM
It seems as though the majority of this forum are capitqalism worhsippers, ceo worshippers, blame the poor for making stupid decisions.

Let me clue you guys in, there is a lot of luck involved with how our lives turnout and for people born in the 3rd world country working in factory jobs work harder than all the CEOs.  No one is self made, we all rely on each other in this society.

Universal basic income doesn't make people lazy, it actually gives people more opportunities to excel and crime rates would plummet.  UBI is actually owed to the citizens because all land has become privately owned and resources extracted, its just a dividend to every human on this planet which we share.

I've looked at the data, uncoditional UBI makes complete economic and social sense.  A lot of jobs are "bullshit jobs" anyways which serve no real purpose.  Most of the jobs are becoming automated anywyas so UBI is absolutely necessary or there will be mass revolution.

let us face it, most of the guys who are in this forum wants to earn a portion of the opportunities that bitcoin has to offer, some are here to earn and some to gain knowledge, but the fact that this forum is all about how to earn a dollar through hardwork, people are here mainly to earn, and that is how it is.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: We can totally eradicate poverty if we TRULY want to. on: September 20, 2018, 12:42:10 AM
rich people can really help the poor but it depends on them, they are not obliged though, giving money or assistance to poor once or twice is noble but to distribute the wealth of the rich people to some unfortunate individuals, it is not fair, it doesn't help the poor to survive but it encourages them to stay on begging and waiting for someone to lend them a hand. though there are some wealthy people who offers livelihood projects for the poor, but let us face it, some poor people are really stubborn and lazy and have no plans on working for themselves. sad thing is, it has become part of the cycle.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will control the world economy!!!!! is it true? on: September 20, 2018, 12:32:27 AM
bitcoin will control the economy? then who controls bitcoin? bitcoin is self sustainable, no one controls it, no individual has control over it, but the people who uses it, there are millions of bitcoin users all around the world, technically nobody has, so how come it can control the economy? if you are referring to bitcoin as gauge in the economy, maybe yes, just like dollars, that are being used as a reference to measure how stable and how good is a country's economy. since bitcoin is getting more popular in the financial sector, it can really be a standard that should be reckoned with.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin x banks on: September 19, 2018, 03:14:01 AM
I really believe that Bitcoin will make the same effect to banks that youtube did to television ( at least).
This statement was made in a documentary from a long time ago that I watched.

So how far from that  you guys think we are now?

yes in some ways, but banks and bitcoin will still co-exist as youtube and televisions today, bitcoin has so many potentials that offers to us in the future, the technology is a work in progress, until it is not limited to being online, do you know what youtube versus televsions and bitcoin and banks have in common? they are both separated by being online and using internet. but banks also uses internet therefore they will not be left behind in terms of technology, they will surely develop a contingency plan to level up with bitcoin. so therefore, banks and bitcoin will still co-exist even in the future.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: WORLD CRISIS IN 2018 on: September 19, 2018, 03:07:18 AM
hypothetically true, if we are to study the previous years, the economy is getting worst every year, these are results of current crisis in the rich countries, conflicts and war against each superpower, ever growing population and unemployment in almost all economic countries, this will surely affects crypto in such a massive way, inflations are a common problem globally. it is like a domino, an after effect  due to wars and conflicts in different parts of the world. politically ruled out. natural disasters occurs destroying lives and properties adds up to the factors that affect the worlds economy.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: Lehman Weekend: The Biggest Bankruptcy in American History on: September 19, 2018, 02:58:02 AM
It was like 10 years when Lehman Brothers collapsed followed by a global and economic disaster. But we have to thank that this event has happened otherwise Satoshi wouldn't created Bitcoin in the first place. It was the catalyst for him to invent a P2P currency without any intermediary (usually banks), and to operate without any government's intervention, thus decentralization.

Personally though, I was affected by this event, was laid out after September 2008 and was out of job for about a month. I was caught by surprised because there's some assurance that we wouldn't be affected, but damn we are totally wrong.

How about you guys, you directly affected by it? Do you think that if Lehman was saved by US government, Satoshi wouldn't push to create bitcoin? Or it is inevitable? The man himself will release it with or without the financial meltdown in 2008?

Satoshi started working on Bitcoin in 2007, he actually said that he wrote whitepaper after he developed the software. Also, Bitcoin had many predecessors from the previous years, so the movement for decentralized money was there long before the Lehman Brothers collapse and the 2008 crisis. The philosophy of decentralized money is not about simply distrusting the government and banks, it's about not trusting anyone with your money. It's probably just a coincidence that Bitcoin was launched during the crisis.

agree, it think satoshi nakamoto didn't create bitcoin as a result of the economic meltdown that the op is saying, the system being decentralized i think was not perfected overnight, nakamoto surely have been studying the technology way long before the meltdown. and i have read that bitcoin was intended only for online use, since nakamoto have forecasted that internet use will be globally patronized, ah history, no one really knows.
