583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Bitcoin different from alt coins? on: January 24, 2018, 03:52:08 AM
Can we expect altcoins to reach the success of Bitcoin? and how long would it take? what are success metrics?

i doubt it, because of so many popping new crypto nowadays, i dont think not single one altcoin can reach what bitcoin has gone before. because of the market share of these competing cryptocurrencies, that is what special about bitcoin, so many altcoin have popped up but still bitcoin is on top. nobody beats the original as what they say. some cyptocurrency are not yet stable as bitcoin in terms of market share. bitcoin is the pioneer among other crypto.
584  Other / Archival / Re: I could be millonaire now (BUT NOT) on: January 24, 2018, 03:45:55 AM
I bought lots of bitcoins when BTC was at 2K$/BTC...
If I didn't spend most of them I could now be RICH! (or even millonaire)

Don't act like me and try to keep the invests as long as possible, I could have earned LOTS of $ but I earned about 500$ instead.
I can't be angry with myself as I didn't lose anything, but I didn't earn as much as I could have earned.

What are your stories about BTC? What do you think about mine?

Have a nice day

your story really serves as a good lesson for newbies out there that when you enter or venture into something, make sure you know what you are doing, i dont know why you bought bitcoin long ago when you dont have the goal to earn profit by selling it or spending it like what you said. maybe you have consider the price changes way back then, but that's it, past is past, you cannot whine forever because of what you have done, buy now and maybe you can still regain your loss in the past, just be patient in terms of sudden changes of bitcoin price.
585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS] Good News: South Koreans To Resume Crypto Trading In 7 Days on: January 24, 2018, 03:31:58 AM
this is our chance to start buying some bitcoins.
and may be able to reap considerable benefits over a period of several days,
and after south korea come in we can get profit there from the price increase,
this is good news for me

yes more demand means more profit, i think other country should follow south korea, if this is true, then we who are patiently waiting for the moment for bitcoin to regain its momentum will benefit from this news, this is a good news indeed. let us all wait for this event to manifest in graph/ markets. for those who are having some thoughts of bitcoin being stable, this is your opportunity to regain your loss.
586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why China goverment allergic to bitcoin? on: January 24, 2018, 03:19:59 AM
china is one of the powerful country in this world.they are in a high position in economy.and also china is well developed country.but they still don't like bitcoin revolution.what is the main reason for that?

i think china is not open with bitcoin because of bitcoin's nature as being decentralized, people in china has limited rights over their own finances, because china is a non-democratic country, they could not let their people to generate huge income on their own, because the very nature of having bitcoin is having the power over your own money and we should remember, bitcoin holders are anonymous which contradicts the essence of a communist country, it is against their law we all have to accept it and respect it. but if chinese are residing outside china, i think that is an exemption, almost every country has a chinatown, for sure many of them are into bitcoin and millionaires because of bitcoin.
587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees are killing/have killed Bitcoin.... it is sad but true. on: January 24, 2018, 01:34:28 AM
Only a few years ago we had a growing number of shops here in berlin that you were able to buy food and/or drinks from for bitcoin. Right now there are no more of these stores left. And most of the sellers I used to buy things from on the big marketplaces now refuse to trade bitcoin too and changed to etherium. I know for those people that think that bitcoin is the new gold it is not that bad but bitcoin was "released" to be something completely different. Right now bitcoin is no real crypto currency at all. Buy a coffee for 2,5 bucks and pay 25 bucks fee.... sure.......... In my opinion bitcoin completely failed because of these fees and I sold every last satoshi and invested in other crypto currencies. Is there a single reason to stick to bitcoin? If yes, please feel free to tell me!

who would you buy a coffee using bitcoin? dont you have cash, lol but i see your point, your example are too simply not to be ridiculed at, sorry. As for the fees are concern, true, it does make bitcoin fall (partly) though it is not the main reason for this fall on bitcoin, you have to consider the trend which newbies follow. the fees are already there and given, that is how trading goes when you deal with exchanges. maybe the stores in your place only tested bitcoin's capabilities to compete with fiats. they are also experiencing hassles in their own exchange sites, so they stop and the other stores follow. what matters is what you believe, believe in bitcoin and make other investors to rely on bitcoin too. do not post negative stuff like this, the only way for bitcoin to go up again is to keep it for a while and make room for law of demand.
588  Economy / Speculation / Re: what would it take for bitcoin to rise again? on: January 24, 2018, 01:16:12 AM
i think a massive campaign thru television and internet media like facebook and twitter will play a tremendous part of bitcoin to be on top of other crypto, if we can be observant, look at facebook ads regarding other cryptocurrencies that came popping up new coins, look where they are now, they become competitive alternative coins. let us encourage investors to hold on to their bitcoin, do not sell for maybe a couple of weeks, surely bitcoin price will soar up.
589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOLD your sh*t on: January 24, 2018, 12:57:18 AM
those are people who are new to the markets, maybe they are just testing the waters, we cannot blame them for being to nervous about their money being in the market seeing those stats plunging and draining their investments, but to be able to really attract new brave investors, we should explain it more detailed and let you ranting become an advise to all the market investors, they are just following a trend, but in case the price of bitcoin started to go up, they too shall follow and begin to buy again, that is the way it goes in trading. relax.
590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is it sustainable? on: January 23, 2018, 08:40:13 AM
On the sustainability question, bitcoin is a pure bubble, an asset without intrinsic value — its price will fall to zero if trust vanishes.

i beg to disagree, bitcoin has already survived the early days way back 2010, an asset without intrinsic value? what are you talking about, cant you read the graphs? it has the highest value even if a lot of new cryptocurrency are popping up these days. and the price will be impossible to reach zero, as long as bitcoin holders are earning thru trading, bitcoin will not be dumped.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Taxing Bitcoins Possible? on: January 22, 2018, 01:04:03 PM
I have been thinking of this for long and the reason being that a lot of bitcoin transaction is going online everyday in many countries and i think government can generate IGR from this if possible. I am not a programmer and i have a little knowledge about bitcoin technologies but i just want to know if it is possible.

I think for now it is impossible as bitcoin was not yet being regulated by any country, this tax thing is per country, i mean it depends on each country on how they deal with bitcoin transactions, they have a problem with the anonimity of bitcoin users who enter a transaction via blockchain. I think as long as there is blockchain, it is difficult for any country to identify an individual and how much they will taxed them, taxation is based on the amount of money being held by a person, but i think if bitcoin will grow and transactions will be a common thing, maybe someday all countries will have to sit on that issue.
592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Question for all on: January 22, 2018, 12:52:32 PM
I think it is rare to wrongly send btc to a specific wallet address or number, a typo error cannot be succesfully done if you mistype a single character or two, maybe what is more acceptable is sending bitcoin to a different wallet address rather a single character. The exchange would advise you that you have send or typed a wrong address. If it happens to me, a bitcoin was wrongfully sent to me, i would immediately send it back if he contacted me and after verifying the transaction.
593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 60% of world population cannot access computer so Bitcoins will fail. on: January 22, 2018, 07:51:42 AM
I dont agree with you, from the time bitcoin began, there was plenty of brave people who invested and patiently waited for bitcoin to grow as how it is big today,  there are plenty of computer users back then, but bitcoin grew larger and larger up to this present day, we cannot assume that because not all people use internet or computer does not necessarily means bitcoin will not go to the mainstream, there are students today that has access or the chance to learn computer stuff and the next generations will follow the same. So it is progressive in terms of computer literacy for people today. Eventually, lots of people will have an idea of how bitcoin works.
594  Other / Off-topic / Re: What age to teach kids about crypto? on: January 22, 2018, 07:06:47 AM
Actually there is no specific age on when you can teach a child about crypto, as long as he can comprehend the nature of crytpo trading, as long as he knows what he is entering, but as for the age to be legal in trading is i think of course he is legally aged around 18 and up.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: do you know people that afraid from bitcoin and virtual currencies? share it on: January 21, 2018, 01:17:46 PM
Many are still ignorant when it comes to investing in bitcoin, actually, everything about bitcoin, many are still hesitant to join or invest in bitcoin because of lack of knowledge added by the growing numbers of negative writeups about bitcoin, not just bitcoin almost all cryptos are in the same status, i think being digital is what makes it hard to accept by people especially the conventional ones. The stigma of using internet.
596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the downfall of bitcoin? on: January 21, 2018, 11:40:45 AM
Of course not, you really are a newbie, there are threads that explained this already, ever heard of bitcoin volatility? Those flunctuation in bitcoin price are inevitable, that is how bitcoin goes, it is how the system works, sometimes the price is high, that is when you should sell and when the price dive to low, that is when you should invest or buy. The downfall you are seeing now is actually an opportunity to buy more bitcoin. After it rebounded, that is you chance to earn more. Do not panic by those downfall.
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving is not safe on: January 21, 2018, 11:28:02 AM
Bitcoin system itself is safe, the problem is the user of that accounts, they are using passwords that are easily be hacked, easily to guess,  it is impossible for bitcoin to get hacked because of its security features,  be careful when you are connected to a public wifi because it is highly prone to hackers because of its vulnerability and unprotected domain, it is unsafe to open apps or program like bank account or online banking as well as your bitcoin wallet password if you are connected to a public wifi.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Awareness is the biggest influence. on: January 19, 2018, 01:19:05 AM
Now in some of the developed cities in Asia, there is already a ATM automatic machine that supports bitcoin. Many young people begin to understand bitcoin and invest in bitcoin and other encrypted coins. The government has also begun to realize that the encrypted currency is not closed, only to embrace it will be in line with the trend of this era.

is this true? are there atm machines using bitcoin or maybe transferring bitcoin to your bank's account number via atm machine? well. this should be well explained and elaborated, many will be misguided by these statements, but if this is true, i think this is a great leap for bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies, imagine the hassle free and secured the transactions would be.
599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news The market began to rise and return !!! on: January 19, 2018, 01:04:10 AM
true, there is a slight changes in the price of bitcoin, but that small hike was just a fluctuation of the market cap, sorry to burst your bubble but if you will look at the graph today, you will see ups and downs, just play it wise, sell whenever you feel the price will go up and buy when it lowers the price.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap on: January 17, 2018, 05:16:10 AM
be patient, just wait for the good news I'm sure this is not the end of crypto hopefully the price will come back better

agree, there is no reason to panic guys, if you are willing to earn, you should not be afraid to loose, that is why we should invest what we are willing to loose, these movements are not forever, soon it will go up again, for me, i am not affected with the plunge of bitcoin price, because i know that this scenario will took place, if we all panic, surely the price of bitcoin will continue to drop until the last coin is burned. keep on investing and buying, we are the manipulators of our own gains and sadly our own loss.
