502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lots of recycled threads on: March 08, 2018, 01:13:55 AM
Dude, it's like this for a long time now, it's not something new. They perfectly know that the topic they are going to post has already been posted multiple times and they don't care. A lot of these topics are created to make their alt account able to reply with generic reply re-ashed comments, senseless ideas and so on...

And since we are on it, I would like #5

Post in the correct section....

And you should consider this point because your topic has nothing to do in the bitcoin discussion section

thanks for the tip, i have created this topic here in bitcoin discussion not for the newbies only, as what others have observed, there are high ranking members who also recycle topics, and the fact that beginners didnt spend their time reading in beginners section, they are already here in bitcoin discussion and posting such topics without even bothering to read the thread intended for them before they post. besides, who would wanted to back read from thousands of threads just to check if his prospected topic has already been discussed. as what you have said, they don't care. that is why i created this topic.

so i am requesting your permission to retain this thread for everyone else' sake. not only for the newbies but for all of us. if you think it is still not considerable, i will gladly move this topic to beginners and help.

just a thought,

if we are in a race, and a runner is in the middle of the race half way to the finish line, would he go back to the starting line to check if he is in the correct lane?  no, wouldn't it be helpful to the runner to see halfway to the finish line a guy with a banner saying, hey dude, you are on the wrong lane, move it! you helped the runner to finish his race by guiding him and not being disqualified and almost wasted his good start.

504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin be used to help countries hit by disaster? on: March 06, 2018, 09:03:37 AM
there are already institutions that are crypto-based such as bitgive that we can send our donation, but to be sure, we can send bitcoin by ourselves too, there are individuals that silently donating their bitcoins for the needy especially who experience such calamity, i think bitcoin billionaires are also open for donating, there are so many things we can do about donating bitcoins, it can be converted and buy things that are needed by the victims of disasters, it is better to share our blessings that bitcoin has brought us and a little amount of bitcoin is a great help for the victims.
505  Other / Meta / Re: Rules how to give merits? on: March 06, 2018, 08:31:48 AM
there are no specific rules about giving merits, in fact, we are being encouraged to spend our smerits because it will be forfeited at a given time making it useless to keep, merits are given to a worthy post or commendable threads based on you own perspectives, if it looks informative and can be much help to the readers, then by all means spend your smerit, giving smerit on you own alt account are somehow based on conscience and honesty, there are consequences though, you can either be rejected by campaign managers or worst getting your account and all your alt accounts banned. so spend it wisely, give it to someone who really deserves it and not only to rank them up and get paid a higher rate on campaigns.
506  Economy / Economics / Re: Is banking still important in the bitcoin era? on: March 06, 2018, 08:05:01 AM
Financial technologies such as bitcoin, P2P lending and crowdfunding are just beginning to take off, and businesses involved in the industry pose little immediate threat to traditional commercial banks. Banks, after all, the country's economic lifeline, so I think the bank is still very important, do you think?

yes, we cannot put banks aside, one country's economy still needs banking especially today, although bitcoin is starting to conquer our lives financially, still it has a lot of things to improve, one is the buying power of fiats, still, bitcoin has limited buying power due to lack of institutions that accept it as payments, in terms of services like day jobs and peer to peer services that is paid in fiats, groceries, hospitals and so much more, maybe if bitcoin will further develop in coping with these financial aspects, then there will come a time that banks will close due to its inefficiency and irrelevance.
507  Economy / Economics / Re: Is your bitcoin earnings enough for you to start a business? on: March 06, 2018, 04:05:18 AM
if you have the fund you needed to put up your own business, why not. that is everbody's long term goal, why keep on being an employee when you can be the boss, as long as you have the financial capacity and the time, you are free to level up. it is hard to focus on two different things like working and managing your bitcoin, if you are earning more in bitcoin, and enjoying bitcoin, then you should consider being full time in bitcoin. decide on where you will have a better future.
508  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BSP: Advisory on the Use of Virtual Currencies on: March 05, 2018, 12:08:21 PM
they maybe helping us today, for them to test the waters, soon they will try to penetrate the crypto scene and soon they will fund their own crypto, they are just testing the market if many people will invest in bitcoin after they gave an official statement for considering bitcoin instead of banning it. their eyes are rolling with a dollar sign. they will soon be one of the whales.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lots of recycled threads on: March 05, 2018, 11:46:30 AM
I noticed that too and it is really dragging the quality of the forum downwards. I think that your post should be addressed to/by moderators too and pinned at the top.

And I also address the moderators to start giving replies in such forums by stating that the question has been asked and answered to already with the link to the original thread and start putting recycled topics in the recycle bin. The repeated misdemeanor should be punished with a temporary ban. That is what I saw on other forums and I think it would make up for a much more efficient system then using Merits to improve the quality of the topics.

that would be a lot of work for the mod, simply delete the thread if found guilty of redundancy. but i hope your suggestuon will be taken into considerations. as for the newbies, we cannot blame them though because they are misled by their impulses to create a topic. what they need is guidance and reminders. thanks mate
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / lots of recycled threads on: March 05, 2018, 08:55:58 AM
i have noticed that our forum is flooded with threads that are created by newbies that post recycled topics, meaning, the topics are already posted and this clearly shows that newbies are not reading, my advise to all newbies, you must read first, learn to back read and study the threads here, do not just post. in doing so, this will prevent you from being locked out, posting a new topic doesn't make you merit-worth or rank up.

to some ranked members, we can help newbies by giving them advise to post quality topics worth of time and informative as possible, we should only reply on topics that has not yet been discussed so we can discourage flooding of nonsense threads.

if you can post some tips here for the newbies who wishes to rank up but deserving to be merited please do so. let us help each other.

some of my advise would be:

1. look for the date of which that topic was created, if it has already hundreds of replies please choose another updated topics to reply at

2. never reply to nonsense inquiry or poll that is illogical

3. learn to write in proper english grammar or at least can be understood by many

4. reply directly to the point, it doesn't matter if it is just a one-liner reply, as long as it is direct to the point, and not full of so many not so important words, a long paragraphed reply is not the basis of having a merit or just to make it look good to your campaign/ bounty managers.

511  Economy / Exchanges / Re: COINS.PH are now Accepting ETherium! on: March 05, 2018, 08:34:07 AM
Cons.ph are now accepting Etherium!

But its not available in the websites of coins.ph also this features is not supported by lower version of android phones.

Tested on Zenfone 4 Max Nougat

Hope that we can convert etherium directly to bitcoin using this, but for now its not supported.

I will try to transfer etherium later or update us if someone already try to store etherium in this wallet.

See photos below:

Confirmed that the update is now available to lower version of android phones, And my friends already have the etherium features on their coins.ph apps.

i did update my coins.ph and see ethereum and to activate the wallet it needs 20 pesos and sending eth coist .00135 eth. this is great cause you don't have to convert btc to eth just to send eth to myetherwallet.

The beta test is done and the actual updated app with ETH wallet is now on the playstore. You do not need to wait something that is already there.

The apps are already have an update. If you have multiple gmail account in your mobile phone, just check it to see your update.

Why some are complaining that they dont see update on their mobile phones.

at first it was a beta test, they have electronically chose users to be a beta testers, but as i heard up to this day, the update is already available which means it passed. but unfortunately, this eth wallet has a fee if you want to create a eth wallet, you can transfer you eth from your external eth wallet to coins.ph eth wallet. you can also transfer peso to btc to eth and vice versa, but there are pros and cons. just like transferring your btc to coins.ph btc wallet, there are fees. there are minimum eth amount that is to be transferred, but this is definitely a good start for that country to enjoy eth to eth wallet transfer.
512  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather see steady growth in Bitcoin or strong upward spikes instead? on: March 05, 2018, 04:00:58 AM
steady growth is somehow safer than a sudden strong spikes, in steady growth, you can monitor all the movements of the market, you have ample time to predict the next move, while on spikes, though the chances of getting huge profit is fast, the loss is expected to be greater too. depending on the trend, one should take measures of sudden movement. but both has the potential of having profit.
513  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat, Banks and the future of Cryptocurrencies on: March 05, 2018, 01:08:37 AM
first of all, why bother in transacting with banks? once you have transferred bitcoin into fiats using banks, your account is no longer anonymous, they can even trace your online transaction then forward you to government tax departments, why bother doing business with banks when there are blockhains and online wallet that you can convert it anonymously. banks and cryptos does not work together, they never will. if you are planning to transfer small amounts using banks, it is useless because it will be taxed, if you want huge amount to be transferred, you will be convicted of money laundering or hoarding, they will question you where did you get all that money, then you will be taxed, again.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: the contribution of bitcoin to the individual economy on: March 05, 2018, 12:30:44 AM
since bitcoin is popularized, of course many users have improved financially for the economy, although not everyone can now take advantage of it, but I think almost all users can benefit from bitcoin because of the knowledge factor even a few of those who have success from business bitcoin.
with the fact that we know that bitcoin is capable of improving individual economic users.

Do you think bitcoin can contribute to the economies of a country that is down?

and by what methods to maximize bitcoin function so as to improve the country's economy?

is legality and adoption needed to facilitate bitcoin performance?

share your opinion, thank.

bitcoin has proven that it can boost the economic status of a country by offering services paid in btc even to those who are not holding a degree, it has contributed boost in terms of livelihood and can replace day jobs. it offers opportunity to individuals to participate in traiding and e-commerce.

to maximize the full potential of bitcoin, a country should fully embrace the use of bitcoin, maybe some laws to regulate bitcoin transaction to make their people safe from scams and not use bitcoin for illegal activities, im not saying they should control bitcoin but make it more safer by monitoring illegal transactions or maybe putting up a department to monitor bitcoin transactions and not the users.

somehow legalizing bitcoin is needed to create more investors and erase the doubts about bitcoin being legit or truly functional. if legalized, more people will buy, resulting to high demands of bitcoin, then it will create traffic and bitcoin trading will get a better boost in the market.
515  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin must come back to its original use - currency ! on: March 03, 2018, 12:34:55 PM
We have no choice, bitcoin is evolving, rapidly and with full potential, these changes are making investors roll their eyes with a dollar sign, lol, maybe as a currency, it is only one of the uses why bitcoin was created, but because lots of investors are seeing how bitcoin evolve profitably, everyone tends to go with the trend. We cannot blame them, just like dollar, as supposed to be a currency butbecause of its market value and wolrdwide  acceptance, it landed on trading platforms too, it is a natural phenomenon. And nobody can derail it.
516  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks admit they fear BTC on: March 03, 2018, 12:13:15 PM
Everyone fears for something they cannot control, same with govt and banks, since cryptocurrency is decentralized, they cannot simply control the online market, though this issue is running since the day bitcoin grabs the attention of taxpayers, this confirmation nailed it. Though it is obvious and already expected to happen. Govt and banks are also adopting, and really into distabling the market. But bitcoin is way ahead of them.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should continue to stay in a low price? on: March 03, 2018, 11:08:22 AM
Your choices are too extreme, though the first is absurd, the price cannot remain low, as volatility plays a major part in market value of bitcoin, then the second was way too skeptic, you have two scenarios and you want us to choose, actually those two are both needed to create traffic that will result movements in bitcoin price, traders needed those two scenarios. It creates opportunity to gain profit.
518  Economy / Economics / Re: Whats the ranking of bitcoin in terms of currency on: March 03, 2018, 03:18:14 AM
Being the top crypto, bitcoin does emerges among others, since it is the pioneer in cryptocurrencies. In terms of price, demand and market shares in trading platforms. Not to mention the wide range of services that uses bitcoin and the growing number of establishments that accepts bitcoin payment, Though some new cryptos popping out nowadays, bitcoin is still the well used crypto in online world.
519  Economy / Economics / Re: Bill Gates says crypto-currencies cause deaths on: March 02, 2018, 01:35:11 AM
bill gates simply enumerate one of many use of bitcoin, hurray for that, lol. bitcoin's anonymity is not the problem, the real problem lies on the third party who use bitcoin funding for purchasing illegal drugs. that is where regulating bitcoin by a certain government now enters. if bitcoin transactions will be regulated, i think this kind of issue on purchasing drugs and other illegal products should be one of the main reason bitcoin must be regulated and not banning bitcoin itself.

funny thing is, i could hardly imagine how they transact business in buying drugs, "ey, do you want a fetanyl? here's my btc address, and hey dont forget to screenshot your transfer, .lol!
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India taking measures to control crypto on: March 01, 2018, 06:07:48 AM
getting banned is different from being regulated, any government that are open to cryptos has a positive impact on crypto, if this news is true, this will create more room for the development of cryptocurrencies to be legally and widely accepted by such government. this means that the gap between crypto and government laws are open to a more productive and safe in terms of trading and commerce are concern.
